Zack Ryder Reveals He Overcame Cancer Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/25/2013 at 11:25 AM
Zack Ryder reveals in the February 2013 issue of the WWE Magazine that while he was enrolled in high school, he overcame cancer.
When I was in high school, I had cancer. Its not something I talk about a lot because I dont want to turn it into a sympathy issue. To make a long story short, one summer I found a lump on my foot. It was a tumor and was removed, but a year later, the doctors found that it had returned in my lungs. They called the cancer a Synovial Sarcoma. The scars on my chest are from ports they inserted to put medicine into my body. It was scary. I had no white blood cells at one point, and my body couldnt fight off infection. It was brutal, and I missed an entire year of school, but Im completely healthy now, and Ive been cancer-free ever since.
The February 2013 issue of WWE Magazine is available on newsstands everywhere.

Take Two Takes Over WWE Video Game Franchise Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/23/2013 at 05:52 PM
WWE's game franchise will be sold to Take Two according to a report by IGN.
Terms of the sale are unknown at this time, as details have not been finalized. These negotiations appear to have taken place outside THQ's formal auction process.
Update on THQ Being Sold & WWE's Video Game Future Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/23/2013 at 05:14 PM
THQ's studios, licenses and properties were sold to at least five different entities at the bankruptcy auction today.
Employees of THQ were sent an email informing them that if they were working on a property or for a studio that was not scheduled to be sold off this week, their employment with the company would be coming to an end.
As of this writing, there is no indication yet where the WWE license would end up as it was not one of the properties auctioned off today. Contractually, THQ held the rights to the license through 2017.
Work was already underway on WWE '14 for release towards the end of 2013.
Bill Goldberg Teases The Spear Is Coming Back Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/23/2013 at 03:02 PM
Former WWE & WCW wrestler Bill Goldberg teased a return to the ring on Twitter. When a fan mentioned that the spear needed to be seen again, Goldberg replied, "It's coming..."
Goldberg later said that he wasn't trolling and meant what he wrote. He also stated that everyone knows his feelings about WWE, and that there was "not a chance in hell" that he would be appearing at The Royal Rumble this Sunday.
Another fan asked, "I'm guessing this means you will never be in the WWE again?," to which Goldberg replied, "Great guess..."
Kid Kash (or at least someone claiming to
be him on twitter) is claiming that his release from TNA is 100% false. The
twitter account, unlike most TNA accounts has not been verified however, many
TNA wrestlers have tweeted messages to the account in the past. "Kash" wrote:
"Don't believe
everything you hear"
"Rumours that I have
left TNA are completely false. I'm still with the company"
Kash's
last known match for TNA on the January 3 2013 episode of Impact Wrestling in a
losing effort against Christian York. On January 5 2013, Kash was at the
Crossfire Wrestling show for their second anniversary event. Most TNA contracts
prevent wrestlers from appearing at televised events or shows that film for DVD
and pay per view. As of this writing, Kash's profile page on ImpactWrestling.com is no
longer a valid link.
The profile for X-Division Wrestler Kid
Kash has been removed from the Impact Wrestling Roster Page indicating he has
possibly been released from the company.

WWE Color Commentator JBL posted an
apology on his facebook page to TNA Wrestlers Bully Ray and
Devon for categorizing Team 3D as unsucessful as singles wrestlers during the
recent airing of WWE Smackdown.
"Anytime you do a
ton of tv every week you are bound to make mistakes. I made one this past week
on Smackdown and tried to correct it on air but wasn't able to get it done
sufficiently, so I want to apologize to my good friends the Dudleys openly-and
to all you twitter police so you can get out of Momma's basement and enjoy the
weekend.
I was trying to make the point that a lot of tag teams never
make it, or try to make it, as singles wrestlers and listed the Killer Bees, LOD
and Dudley's (and I think Hart Foundation). Sometimes on air you try to go
somewhere entertaining and you get caught and try to correct it. Sometimes it
works and sometimes it doesn't.
I realized as soon as I said it that both
the Dudley's and Hart Foundation had become huge singles stars-I was thinking
about my time in WWE where Dudley's had been mainly just a tag team-and one of
greatest of all time in what I think was greatest era of tag teams in history
when you had Edge/Christian, NAO, DX, Dudley's, APA, LOD, Hardy's and more all
at the same time.
Bubba and Devon have been good friends for a long time
and I have the utmost respect and love for them, if I had made the mistake on
someone else-I would just chalk it up to live TV and not worry about it. But,
these guys are good friends and with the Twitter police loving to correct me I
thought I would just make it public and explain how it happened.
What I
hate more than anything is this becoming an issue and taking away from great
work in the ring, as my job is to do my best to tell stories about talent in an
attempt to help them get over.
Believe me, it won't be the last time I
make a mistake, I fire stuff out rapidly sometimes with references I don't plan
on making as a way to try and be entertaining and react to the events in front
of me.
However, the Dudley's first day with the APA Bubba hit me so hard
with a 2x4 that I owed him a receipt anyway!!!"

With that being said, there will be a fight tonight. Big Show will team with Dolph Ziggler to face Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio. That will be the main event tonight. It will be a tag team main event extravaganza.
Booker tells Show, Ziggler, AJ, and Langston to leave the ring because they were not invited to the party.
