Recent Incident With WWE Star and Vince McMahon

Recent Incident With WWE Star and Vince McMahon
Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/09/2012 at 09:21 AM

    - As we have noted, Vince McMahon was upset at last night's RAW and told the writers that he needs results now or he needs resignations. The scene was described as frightening in terms of Vince's tone and demeanor. Besides pressure from NBC Universal to fix the ratings, it's said that last week's 2.5 rating was a big slap in the face to Vince after a number of top talents voiced their concern to him.

A number of top talents have reportedly gone to Vince in recent weeks to complain about how the writing is bad and change is needed. At last week's RAW, Vince was in a bad mood after having a back-and-forth with one of the top talents in front of other people.

We have not been able to confirm who the top talent was but they basically told Vince in front of other people that the WWE writing sucks, that Vince is doing whatever he wants and that WWE is going off a cliff without anything being done about it. The talent then told Vince that he needs to listen to everyone else because he doesn't have his finger on WWE's pulse anymore, basically telling Vince that he's out of touch. The talent told Vince that when WWE goes to "hell in a handbasket" then it will be all Vince's fault.

Apparently several other people got through to Vince during the week and these factors played a big part in the changes made at RAW last night. As noted, expect to hear about more changes in the next few weeks.

Fan That Was Attacked By Punk Files Police Report

Fan That Was Attacked By Punk Files Police Report
Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/09/2012 at 09:07 AM

    - The incident with WWE Champion CM Punk striking a fan at last night's RAW in Sacramento, California has been picked up by mainstream media outlets this morning. People in WWE expect it to be a major story over the next week or so.

The fan who was seen in the video being hit by Punk spoke with CBS 13 reporter Laura Cole, who was in attendance for RAW last night. Cole approached the man for comments. He told her he never hit Punk. The fan says his face was "a little warm" after the assault and says Punk broke his glasses. Police walked up as Cole was interviewing the fan and asked to speak with him. Cole added that the man was filing a Police report against Punk.

Since last night, it has been made clear that Punk struck the wrong fan.

    News from House of Hardcore

Here are some more notes from this past weekend's House of Hardcore debut show from Tommy Dreamer:

    * ECW Original Tony DeVito worked backstage helping to run things. Edge was also helping out backstage. Backstage visitors included former WWE developmental Diva Ivelisse Velez, TNA's Rosita, Beulah McGillicutty and indy talents.

    * Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner and Edge were all big draws for the pre-show autograph session.

    * There are plans for a House of Hardcore 2 show but word is that it may not happen until May of 2013. The event will be edited for a DVD release. There was talk of doing an iPPV but the feeling was that there are too many internet pay-per-views out there right now.

    * The only injury of the night was Daivari getting a tooth knocked out thanks to a stiff kick from Crowbar.

    CM punk slaat toeschouwer

    - Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up from Sacramento, California with Michael Cole welcoming us. We go right to the ring and out comes John Cena to a very mixed reaction.

Cole is joined by Jim Ross and JBL on commentary as Cena makes his way to the ring. Cena says he missed everyone and asks if the fans missed him. He’s answered with cheers and boos. He says one week off felt like a year but it’s good to be back in the ring. Cena says it took him a week off to realize what really was going on in WWE. He talks about Team Hell No, Antonio Cesaro, the WWE Divas and AJ Lee. Cena says AJ has lost her mind but not her charm. Cena says he would like to take AJ on a date. Cena brings up Vince McMahon being here and Arnold Schwarzenegger being the Social Media Ambassador. Cena says Larry King is here tonight. Cena gets the fans riled up. Cena says he and the fans don’t have a voice. He says CM Punk stole the voice of WWE. Some fans start chanting for Punk. Cena talks about Hell In a Cell and says that match could be a moment people remember Punk for. Cena hopes the fans tell Punk how they feel when he comes out tonight. Cena wants the match at Hell In a Cell. Cena says Punk sometimes simply just isn’t a man.

Cena tells Punk not to be a punk and face him at Hell In a Cell. Cena thanks the fans for letting him speak and goes to leave. Ryback’s music hits and out he comes.

    Ryback vs. Primo and Epico

Ryback and Cena exchange a look as they walk past each other on the ramp. Brodus Clay vs. R-Truth

Back from the commercial and out comes Brodus Clay with Naomi and Cameron. R-Truth waits at ringside and comes in with Little Jimmy. Truth takes a mic and apologizes to Brodus. Vince says the most important thing in WWE is the action. The fans want to see the best of the best. He’s interrupted by the music and out comes WWE Champion CM Punk with Paul Heyman right behind him. Punk mocks Vince as he heads down the ramp.

Punk is wearing his new yellow t-shirt and Vince calls it ugly. Punk circles around Vince and stops. Vince says Punk is disrespecting him by interrupting his address. Punk says disrespect is Vince out here talking about what the fans want to see and talking about the best without mentioning him. Punk says Vince should be a Punk guy because Punk is the best in the world. Punk says he used to just be a spoke on the wheel but now he’s the wheel. Punk says Vince should be on his knees right now. Punk says fans don’t care about Jim Ross or Jerry Lawler and asks where CM Punk Appreciation Night is. Vince asks Punk if he thinks he’s the reason for all WWE’s success. Punk says he’s the reason Vince still has money to fuel up his jet. Vince says no individual makes WWE a success – the WWE Universe does. Vince says he listens to the fans everywhere, every tout, every tweet. Vince says right now the fans want someone to shut Punk’s mouth. Vince says Punk is nowhere near the caliber of Andre the Giant, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Triple H or Steve Austin. Punk says he is nothing like Steve Austin. Punk says Austin made it to the top by taking shortcuts and starts ripping into him. Punk says Austin got famous by beating up a clueless and inept millionaire. Punk says that clueless inept millionaire is now a senior citizen. Punk asks Vince if he’s getting mad. Punk goes on and slaps Vince in the face, knocking him to the mat. Punk exits the ring laughing as Vince gets up. Punk and Heyman head up the ramp. Vince says he should fire Punk but right now that’s too good for him. Vince says he will fire Punk unless he fights him in the ring tonight. Vince says Punk may beat his ass but he will learn about respect before the night is over. Heyman tells Punk no but Punk is smiling. Tara Signs New TNA Contract

Tara, who has received a renewed push in TNA Wrestling in recent weeks, revealed during an interview Friday with the Pro Wrestling Torch Livecast that she recently signed a one-year contract with the organization.

"I just recently signed another year, so I'm pretty happy. I hope everyone knows the passion - I love what I do. I hope people see that love," she said.

The veteran grappler explained that she only signs contracts on a year-to-year basis due to her physical state. This, however, has led to brief departures from the organization.

"I signed for a year and they wanted to a three-year (contract), but I said, 'I just do year-to-year. I have to listen to my body, and I don't want to be locked into anything,'" she said. "Then, my contract expired (in 2010) and it was just negotiations. It was not that I wanted to leave, but it was the paperwork. I don't like that part of the business at all. Then, the next year (2011), it expired again and we had to go through it again."

    Good solid opener.

The FBI with Sal E. Graziano vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill (with another Amish person)

Smith James, a Taz student, came out dressed like Roadkill. This is Roadkill's first match since he left WWE.

Doring and Guido started. Guido took him down to the mat but was kicked off. They shoulderblocked each other but no one went down. Doring rebounded off the ropes but was leg sweeped by Guido for a two count. They went back and forth with reversals and then went to dropkick each other. They faced off and the crowd applauded.

The FBI hit a double hiptoss on Doring but he nailed Mamaluke and tagged in RK. RK hit a sideslam for a two count. Roadkill flapjacked him. Doring drilled him into the mat. He went to the floor. Doring hit a dive.

Guido began arguing with the referee (wrestler Scotty Charisma) and shoved. The ref shoved Guido down and hiptossed and covered Guido. RK tried to make the count. The crowd popped and chanted for the ref.

RK and Guido locked up and Guido was lifted and tossed hard. He tried to tag into Mamaluke who didn't want any part of RK. He finally tagged in and stalled but was eyepoked. RK sent him into the ropes but Mamaluke caught him with a flying head scissors and locked on an armbar.

Doring tagged in but was tripped by Graziano. They allowed the FBI to take over and double team Doring in the corner. Guido nailed a nice dropkick to Doring for a two count. They worked over Doring until he whipped Mamaluke into the corner. Doring was kicked off and locked in a guillotine choke. Doring reversed it and suplexed him over.

RK finally got the hot tag and cleaned house. He nailed a splash off the ropes on Mamaluke for a two count. Guido broke it up. Doring superkicked Mamaluke off the apron into the rail. RK and Doring hit their old finisher for the pin.

Your winners, Danny Doring & Roadkill!

What you would expect from these guys.

Roadkill took the mic and asked the FBI to return to the ring. He said that he wanted to tell all of them something. He told a kid to be quiet because if he knows his wrestling history, Roadkill doesn't talk a lot. He said he has a lot of respect for them and the matches they had in ECW. We had the first ECW chant of the crowd. RK said that ECW is the past but HOH is the future and people will be chanting it soon. He said that he wanted to thank all of them. He thanked everyone for their support and asked them to keep supporting HOH.

Doring took the mic and said that you can say ECW or HOH but if there wasn't a FBI, there wouldn't have been a Doring or Roadkill. It was a nice, classy moment.

    Jazz vs. Winter

Winter acted like she was enamored by Jazz who shoved her away. They did some nice mat wrestling back and forth. Jazz locked her in a sharpshooter but Winter made it to the ropes.

Back in the ring, Reynolds cut off Nese and worked him over, yelling at Whipwreck as he did. Nese went into this awesome series of offensive maneuvers and hit a great tope to the floor. The place erupted and went nuts. They chanted, "This is awesome" and "HOH."

Nese tossed Reynolds in and went for a double springboard moonsault but Reynolds pulled his knees up. He tossed Nese rudely to the floor and worked him over, then brought him back in for a two count. Reynolds hit a hangman's neckbreaker for another two count.

Reynolds had words with Whipwreck who finally nailed him with the Whippersnapper. Nese hit the 450 splash and scored the pin.

    Your winner, Tony Nese!

Excellent match and since the majority of the audience didn't know who these guys were, it really was a "star is born" moment.

Scott Steiner came to the ring for a promo. He said that he wanted to know where his freaks were at. He said that he wanted to thank everyone for following him on Twitter. He said he's been telling the truth about what p***ies Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are, so now he's in a lawsuit.

Out came Luke Gallows with Eddie Kingston. Gallows and Steiner began brawling and they rang the bll.

Steiner clotheslined him over the top to the floor and had words with Kingston. Steiner hiptossed Gallows over the top and back into the ring. He worked him over with chops in the corner and clotheslined him down for a two count. Steiner did push-ups to mock him.

They battled to the floor and around ringside. Gallows was whipped into the guard rail. Steiner nailed him over the head with a hard plastic chair (not a bendable one) and grabbed a cane from a fan at ringside and nailed Gallows with it. He then nailed him with the ring bell and rang it on his head.

They continued brawling around ringside until Steiner tossed him back into the ring. Steiner's leg was grabbed by Kingston, allowing Gallows to worked over Steiner with punches and choked him against the ropes. Your winner, Scott Steiner!

Entertaining brawl. Funny to see Scott rip on Hogan and Bischoff while he's being sued. He really has no fear. Really entertaining with everyone doing their job well. Kingston was a hell of a corner man.

    MasterLock Challenge

Chris Mordetsky took the mic and ripped out on Poughkeepsie. He knocked a bunch of fans and picked someone, an African-American fan named "Adam" for the Challenge. Mordestsky made a lot of comments about the "Hood."

The crowd began chanting "Bullsh**" over the guy picked. Masters put it on and wouldn't let go. Hale Collins, who is a local star from the area, came to the ring and said he wanted to take the challenge. Collins got a nice reaction.

Masters locked him in the hold and Collins fought hard to get out. The crowd got really behind their local hero. Collins almost broke it so Masters blasted him from behind and stomped the hell out of him.

    Your winner, Chris Mordestsky!

Good match, although they probably went a little long and lost the crowd towards the end. Collins was really over as the local guy and they had some good exchanged. The masked man was likely Vik Delicious who is "banned" from wrestling in Poughkeepsie after losing a stipulation match for NEW, which ran here last year.

    Rhino vs. Sami Callihan

They brawled all over ringside and then back into the ring. Rhino whipped Callihan hard into the buckles and then flapjacked him high into the ring for a two count. Rhino missed a charge in the corner and was drilled with a hard kick to the back of the head.

Rhino and Sami continued to battle back and forth. Rhino nailed a TKO for a two count. Callihan nailed a big boot for a two count. Rhino nailed a big belly to belly suplex and set up for the Gore. He went for it but Callihan caught him in a guillotine choke. Rhino refused to tap and fought his way to his feet. He suplexed Callihan into the turnbuckles.

Rhino gored Callihan but he kicked up at the last second. The crowd was surprised by that. They battled back and forth. Rhino nailed him a piledriver for another two count. He pulled him Callihan up to the ropes and nailed the Rhinodriver off the middle turnbuckle for the pin.

    Your winner, Rhino!

Big Daddy V vs. Ham and Egger

Big Daddy, managed by Nicky Benz (Nick Berk doing an agent of the stars gimmick), came out and destroyed a guy who looked like Jake Milliman. V won so Berk called for another opponent.

Another young guy came in and nailed a series of dropkicks but V grabbed him and chokeslammed him into a sit down powerbomb for the pin.

Benz called for another and out came Little Spike Dudley, who got a monster pop. He kicked V low and nailed the Acid Drop and celebrated. V rolled out of the ring and wanted nothing to do with Spike. He left.

Benz was pissed and went after Spike, who ripped off his toupee and nailed him with the Acid Drop and celebrated.

They took a brief intermission because they were ahead of schedule.

When they returned, Adam "Edge" Copeland came to the ring. He said the last time he did a show at this level was 1997 and the reason he is here tonight was Tommy Dreamer. He said Dreamer busted his ass to have this show. He said that he wanted the fans to give themselves a hand for showing up. He said that fans should give themselves a hand for cheering and booing and having fun because that's what wrestling is all about.

He said it was fun for him to see the young guys like Sami Callihan getting drilled by Rhino's piledriver. He said that made him think of Paul Orndorff piledriving Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant getting his hair shaved. He said that he loves moments like those and this next match could be a moment like that. He said the teams remind him of Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz. He said London & Kendrick and the Bucks are going to do things now in their prime, that he could never do.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Young Bucks

Matt Jackson and Kendrick started out on the mat with some nice reversals. Finally Jackson slapped him and Kendrick responded with some forearms. Kendrick leapfrogged Jackson and used a forward roll for the pin.

London nailed an awesome overhead belly to belly throw on Nick Jackson. Kendrick and London nailed a double kick on Nick as he came off the top and ran him into Matt Jackson in the corner. Nick ended up hitting a rana on his own brother.

The Bucks cut off Kendrick and Matt Jackson stomped the hell out of him. They went for a double hiptoss but Kendrick slipped out and tagged London. London backdropped Nick over the top to the floor and worked over Matt. Nick dragged London out of the ring. When he returned to the apron, Nick grabbed a head scissors, allowing Matt to nail a dropkick to the face.

The Bucks double teamed London in their corner. They nailed a double hiptoss into a double dropkick. Matt covered London for a two count. Nick locked London in a rear chinlock. London tried to fight out but was cut off by Matt. Matt suplexed London over and covered him for a two count.

They went into a series of insane spots including an awesome double plancha. They went back and forth with a bunch of near falls until Kendrick nailed Sliced Bread #2 followed by a London Shooting Star Press on Matt for the pin.

Your winners, Brian Kendrick & Paul London!

Awesome awesome awesome match. Just great stuff. The place chanted "HOH" afterwards.

FWE champ Tommy Dreamer vs. Mike Knox vs. Carlito

Dreamer and Knox went back and forth until Dreamer clotheslined him over the top. Carlito and Dreamer faced off. Carlito hit a springboard moonsault over Dreamer and dropkicked him. Knox charged Carlito and Carlito nailed a drop toehold.

Carlito ate apple and spit it on Knox. Dreamer picked it up and ate some of it. Knox clotheslined them both. They battled to the floor, where Dreamer got dropped over the railing. Dreamer came back and rang the ring bell over Carlito's nether-regions

Dreamer tossed a chair into the ring and tried to nail Carlito into it. He blocked it and drop toe-holded Dreamer into the chair. Knox returned to the ring and nailed a big boot on Knox.

Carlito went under the ring and pulled a ladder into the ring. He placed it into a corner and rammed Dreamer into it. He then dropkicked Knox into the ladder, which snapped in half. Carlito charged and Knox backdropped Carlito into the ladder, then speared Dreamer.

Dreamer nailed an awesome DDT on Knox, who landed standing upside down before going over. Dreamer set up a table on the outside. He tried to suplex Carlito over the ropes through the table but Carlito escaped and nailed Dreamer with a series of rights. Dreamer nearly went off the apron but caught Carlito with a DVDR off the apron through the table.

Dreamer grabbed a cane from under the ring but was kicked by Knox. Dreamer set the ladder on the apron and tried to use it as a base to superplex Knox. He got crotched through the ladder. Carlito nailed the Backstabber while Dreamer was still hooked in the ladder. Knox went off the top with a flying legdrop but missed. Carlito covered Dreamer and won the belt.

    Your winner, Carlito!

Really good match. It was actually the hardest I've ever seen Carlito or Knox ever work.

Dreamer presented Carlito with the belt. The crowd chanted "Thank you Tommy" and "HOH."

Carlito and Knox shook hands. Knox laid him out and attacked Carlito. Raven charged out and DDT'd Dreamer. He began beating the hell out of him when "Enter Sandman" hit and out came the Sandman from the top of the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

After an extended entrance, Sandman rolled into the ring. He ducked and Knox clotheslined Raven. Sandman caned them both and they ran from the ring.

Dreamer took the mic. There was a Thank you Sandman chant. Then a Thank you Tommy. Then a "Thank you both."

Dreamer said that he wanted to thank everyone here from the bottom of his heart. He thought it was going to be a disaster. He said his Mom had a stroke and he thought she was going to die but she's here selling merchandise. He said Edge blew off neck surgery to be here. Beulah and his kids were in the back and he said there will be a HOH 2. He said he loved the boys in the back and picked the roster and wished everyone a safe ride home.

Fun ending to the show. Really strong first effort on all fronts.

    Detailed Results

Four weeks before he challenges Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title at Hell in a Cell, SmackDown kicks off with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. Big Show says that everyone has confidence until he punches them in the skull, adding that he has never faced Sheamus one-on-one, but Sheamus will join a very elite list of victims. Big Show continues that he punched guys like Edge, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, and John Cena right in the mouth. The #1 Contender is then interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus, who says that he appreciates the “heads up”, saying that his title defense at Hell in a Cell will be the toughest of his career. Sheamus then extends his hand to Big Show, saying “let the best man win”, but the giant refuses to shake the champion’s hand, walking out of the ring. Sheamus then shows footage from WWE TLC last December where Big Show defeated Mark Henry to win the World Heavyweight Title, only to lose it Daniel Bryan 45 seconds later. Sheamus then shows what happened at WrestleMania, where he defeated Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds to win the World Heavyweight Title. This brings an enraged Big Show back to the ring as the #1 Contender extends his hand to Sheamus, but the champion just walks past “The World’s Largest Athlete”, exiting the ring with a smile on his face!

The opening match of the night was the final First Round Match in the #1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament as former tag team champions R-Truth & Kofi Kingston faced The Prime Time Players with a Semi-Final spot on the line. In the end, it was an assist on the outside from Titus O’Neil that allowed Darren Young to hit the double knee gutbuster on Kofi Kingston and, as Titus keeps R-Truth out of the ring, Young pins Kofi to pick up the upset win to advance to the Semi-Finals to face Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara next week!

After he and Epico failed to make it past Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara in the #1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament on RAW, Primo, with Epico & Rosa Mendes in his corner, would have the unenviable task of going one-on-one with the undefeated “Sin City Cyborg” Ryback. During the match, Primo would try to walk away from the match, but Ryback would not allow it as the unstoppable machine would drop Epico with a clothesline on the outside before dropping Primo with Shell Shocked in the middle of the ring en route to picking up another impressive win.

Two former Divas Champions faced off on SmackDown as Layla went one-on-one with Alicia Fox. In the end, it was Layla landing a kick to Alicia Fox’s head en route to picking up the win.

Backstage, a heated argument between WWE Champion CM Punk and “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, as well as Paul Heyman and Vickie Guerrero, is broken up by SmackDown General Manager Booker T, who books CM Punk to go one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler in the main event!

Wade Barrett was in action on SmackDown as “The Bareknuckle Brawler” faced a local competitor. In the end, it was Wade Barrett hitting the Souvenir on the jobber en route to picking up the win.

Then it was time for a Champion vs. Champion Match as World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus went one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a non-title match. During the match, Sheamus was ready to put The Miz down with the Brogue Kick, but Big Show would emerge, knocking Miz out with the W.M.D., costing Sheamus the match!

After Alberto Del Rio twice assaulted Randy Orton last week, David Otunga makes an appearance on SmackDown to “thank” Del Rio for taking “The Viper” out. It then looks like Orton would confront Otunga, but when Orton’s music plays, Alberto Del Rio and his personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, come out instead as “The Mexican Aristocrat” mocks Orton’s ring entrance. Del Rio says that Orton would not dare be in the same building as him because Orton would wind up like a “dying snake”, touting that he cut off the head of “that snake”, proclaiming that he is the new “apex predator” of the WWE! SmackDown General Manager Booker T then comes out, saying that, with Orton out of action, Del Rio has some “free time” on his hands. With that, Booker puts Del Rio and David Otunga in a match against the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kane & Daniel Bryan!

Per the orders of Booker T, Alberto Del Rio would team with David Otunga, with Ricardo Rodriguez in their corner, to face the WWE Tag Team Champions, Team Hell No, in a non-title match. In the end, it was Kane planting David Otunga with a chokeslam, but Daniel Bryan tags himself, dropping the flying headbutt on Otunga en route to picking up the win for himself and Kane.

Backstage, Senior Advisor Theodore Long is talking to Booker T’s Assistant, Eve, as Long says that he did not tell Eve to try and suspend Beth Phoenix indefinitely last week, but the Divas Champion claims that, in his “advanced age”, Long forgot that he told her to suspend Beth Phoenix. Long says that he can see right through Eve and he knows that Eve had something to do with the attack on Kaitlyn at Night of Champions. Long continues that Booker T is not an “experienced” General Manager and Eve may have Booker fooled, but if he was in charge, Eve would be out the door. However, Booker enters the office, only hearing the end of the conversation, asking if Long is jealous of Eve, but Long says that he is his “own man”. Booker says that Long and Eve are “valuable assets”, but he cannot have them arguing all the time.

After costing Sheamus a match against The Miz, Big Show was in action on SmackDown as “The World’s Largest Athlete” went one-on-one with Tensai. During the match, Big Show winds up for the W.M.D., but Sheamus rushes out, delivering the Brogue Kick to Tensai, costing Big Show the match just like the #1 Contender did to Sheamus earlier!

Then it was time for the main event as WWE Champion CM Punk, with Paul Heyman in his corner, went one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie Guerrero in his corner. In the end, it was CM Punk hitting the GTS on Dolph Ziggler en route to picking up the win over “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”. After the match, CM Punk stands on the announce table and says that, he knows what he has to do to get respect and that is face John Cena inside Hell in a Cell. However, the WWE Champion again proclaims that he will still not face Cena at Hell in a Cell!

    Tensai's Status

We noted before that Vince McMahon has reportedly soured on the Brodus Clay character and gimmick changes may be coming for the big man. The same thing is being said about Tensai. WWE officials had big hopes for Tensai when he returned to WWE earlier this year but plans for his push have been nixed.

The show starts with a "Previously on TNA Impact" video package, detailing the feud between Bobby Roode and James Storm, Hogan's ongoing problems with Aces & 8s, and of course the building feud between Jeff Hardy and Austin Aries. The video package ends, and the camera cuts to Sting and Hogan in Hogan's office.

Hogan tells Sting he's glad that Sting is leading the charge and wishes he could fight by his side, but says he can't because they have to play by the rules. Sting says he's ready to put a bullet in them and that he's going to be watching every match tonight to determine who they should pick as Sting's partner to fight against Aces & 8s. Hogan says they need someone with a killer instinct, and says they need to pick someone by the end of the night. Sting says he's on it and walks out of the office as Hogan tells him he's got his back.

Mike Tenay welcomes everybody to Impact, and we waste no time in getting to the first match of the night.

Mr. Anderson comes out to the stage and grabs the mic as it lowers from the ceiling. He tells Sting and Hogan that he heard they were looking for some help, and says they need not look any further than his match right now.

Mr. Anderson VS Gunner (w/ Kid Kash)

Gunner wastes no time going on the offensive, backing Anderson into the corner with a series of punches. Anderson quickly counters and drops Gunner with a neckbreaker for a 1-count. Gunner kicks out and his Irish Whip attempt is countered. Anderson hits a dropkick, and Gunner rolls out of the ring. Anderson heads to the outside but is distracted by Kash, allowing Gunner to knock him down.

Sting is shown backstage watching the match on a monitor.

Gunner throws Anderson back in the ring and drops him for a 2-count. Anderson counters a submission attempt but gets knocked down again by a punch from Gunner. Anderson counters another Irish whip attempt and hits the Mic Check out of nowhere for the pinfall victory.

Mr. Anderson wins via pinfall (2:31)

Kash jumps in the ring and ambushes Anderson, but Anderson hits another Mic Check out of nowhere. Sting is shown again watching the events transpiring in the ring.

The camera cuts backstage to Tara on the phone with her boyfriend. Gail Kim walks up and tells Tara to wrap up her call because they have a match tonight to prepare for. Tara says they should go out for a celebratory dinner later. She tells Kim to bring her "cable star" boyfriend, and she'll bring her big Hollywood star. Kim tells Tara that she better watch her back, because if Tara wins the Knockouts Championship, she's coming for it next.

    We go to commercial break.

    ******

Back from commercial and we head back to the ring for tonight's second match.

Gail Kim & Tara VS ODB & Miss Tessmacher

Kim and Tara argue about who's going to start the match, but eventually Tara gives in and lets her partner start.

Kim charges ODB but is quickly knocked down with a chest bump. ODB throws Kim into the corner and attempts a Samoan drop, but Kim counters. ODB knocks her down with an elbow and drags her to the corner to tag in Tessmacher.

Tessmacher dropkicks Kim into the corner and hits her with a stink face. ODB is tagged back in and she charges Kim in the corner to hit a kick, but Kim rolls out of the way and tags in her partner. ODB throws Tara into the corner and jumps on her with the bronco buster. ODB gets distracted by Kim trash-talking from the outside, allowing Tara to hit her from behind. She tags Kim back in, and Kim throws ODB into the corner, choking her with a foot to the throat. Kim throws her across the ring to the other corner and hits a spear.

Kim plays to the crowd and her partner a bit before going back in the ring. As ODB tries to get up, Kim charges her with a flying forearm for a 2-count. Tara tags herself back in and stomps on ODB. She attempts a standing moonsault, but ODB gets her knees up. ODB crawls to the corner and tags in Tessmacher.

Tessmacher drops Tara with a series of clotheslines before hitting a flying headscissors. Tessmacher throws Tara into the corner and hits a facebuster for a 2-count, but Kim runs in and breaks up the pin. ODB charges Kim, but Kim pulls her out of the ring and drops her to the ground. Kim tries to interfere in the ring but almost hits her partner. Tara throws Kim into Tessmacher before hitting the Widows Peak for the win.

Tara & Gail Kim win via pinfall (4:45)

Bruce Pritchard and Al Snow are shown backstage looking over a contract. Pritchard says he's got to go show it to D'Lo before they do anything. We cut to commercial.

    ******

A video package is shown chronicling the drama between Joey Ryan and Al Snow before cameras cut back to ringside as Snow makes his way to the ring. Tenay asks Taz what's going on with Snow, and Taz says they'll have to wait and see what happens tonight.

Snow introduces Joey Ryan and asks him to come to the ring. Ryan's music hits, and he comes to the ring in his street clothes to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Snow says that several weeks ago, he allowed his emotions to overcome his better judgement, and unfortunately took an action that put TNA in a bad position. He says as a result, and on behalf of TNA, he would like to apologize for his actions when he laid his lands on Ryan. Ryan demands that Snow say he is sorry. He says Snow is an office stooge around here, but he doesn't want to hear an apology on behalf of TNA. He wants Snow to say he's sorry.

Snow extends his hand to Ryan and says he's sorry. Ryan tells him to get that hand away from him, calling Snow pathetic. He says he manipulated Snow just like he manipulated the 87%. Ryan says tonight isn't about Snow, it isn't about the fans, it's about him. Ryan tells Snow to go ahead and share with everybody the other agreement their legal counsel came to. Snow pulls a TNA contract out of his jacket and hands it to Ryan. Ryan says it's not so tough to do the right thing. Snow starts to say something, but Ryan cuts him off and tells him to turn around so he can sign the contract on Snow's back.

Ryan signs the contract and hands it to Snow, demanding that he be introduced as the NEWEST TNA wrestling superstar. Snow smirks and says Ryan should have read the contract more closely, telling him he doesn't have a permanent spot on the roster yet. The contract he just signed is only for one night, Bound For Glory. Snow says Ryan has his chance to be a star and a chance to be a permanent Impact roster member, and says Ryan's opponent is none other than him: Al Snow. Snow heads up the ramp as Ryan is left looking pissed in the ring.

The camera cuts backstage to Angle and Sting talking. Angle says Aces & 8s jumped him too, and he wants the chance to fight with Sting. Sting says he needs someone who has their mind and plate clear, and as great as Angle is, he doesn't want Angle pulling double duty. He says he'll think about it, but makes no promise.

Angle turns around to leave but runs into Bully Ray. Ray walks up to Sting and tells him that he should be in the World Title match at Bound For Glory, but says that he's not because of Aces & 8s. Ray says he wants them more than anybody else does, and asks what he has to do to prove to Sting that he's the right guy to fight them at the PPV. Sting says Ray is the biggest and baddest bully he's ever known, and tells him to go beat someone up tonight. Sting says he needs a bully, and screams for Ray to prove he has what it takes tonight.

    ******

Back from commercial, we head right to the ring for the next match of the night.

    TNA Television Championship: RVD VS Samoa Joe {c}

RVD and Joe circle the ring a couple times, staring each other down, before meeting in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. RVD rolls Joe up for a quick 1-count and tries to slap on a leg-bar, but fails to do so. Both men stand up and RVD attempts a kick, but Joe drops him with a clothesline. Joe throws RVD into the corner and nails him with an enzuigeri. He picks RVD up, countering a roll-up attempt with an STF submission. RVD makes it to the ropes and rolls out of the ring.

Joe follows him out and is quickly dropped with a kick to the shins. RVD tries to spear Joe into the guardrails, but Joe counters and throws him into the ring steps. RVD hits a jumping thrust kick to drop Joe, and nails Rolling Thunder for the 2-count. He hits Joe with another kick in the corner. Joe counters a monkey-flip attempt, but RVD manages to back out of the slam attempt and hits a cross body. RVD drops Joe with another kick and motions for the Frog Splash. Joe jumps up and hits the Muscle Buster out of nowhere for the win.

Samoa Joe retains via pinfall (4:36)

AJ Styles is shown backstage talking to Hernandez and Chavo about the whole Aces & 8s situation. Chavo cuts him off and tells him not to change the subject, he wants to talk about AJ interfering in his match last week. Daniels and Kazarian walk in and tell the other 3 that they caught Angle talking to Sting, and they say Angle doesn't even want to be in the title match at the PPV because he'd rather team up with Sting. They walk out as Chavo tells AJ to go see whats up with Angle.

    ******

Back from commercial, a video of King Mo arriving to the stadium earlier in the night is shown, and Tenay says we should be hearing more from him later on tonight.

The camera cuts to Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy talking in the parking lot. Aries says he knows there was some drama between them last week, but they managed to get the win anyways. He says they're cool now, and he's just looking forward to their match at the PPV. Bully Ray walks up to them and says he has good news and bad news. The good news is he's not going to punch both of them in the face right now, but the bad news is he's going to punch one of them in the face later on tonight. He says that Sting told him to prove himself, and what better way to do that than to beat the #1 Contender. Aries interrupts and says that the better challenge would be to beat the World Champion. Ray says that Aries is lucky he isn't facing him at Bound For Glory because Aries knows that Ray would walk away victorious. They begin to argue, but Jeff interrupts and suggests a triple threat match for tonight's main event. Ray likes the idea and walks off as Aries looks pissed that Hardy volunteered him for the match.

We head back to ringside for the next match of the night.

Chavo Guerrero (w/ Hernandez) VS Kurt Angle (w/ AJ Styles)

Chavo and Angle meet in the middle of the ring, and Chavo slaps on a side headlock. Angle manages to toss Chavo into the ropes, but Chavo counters with a shoulder block. He slaps the side headlock back on, but Angle manages to lift him up for a suplex. Chavo doesn't let go of the submission, but Angle manages to stand up again and back Chavo into the corner. He gets out of the submission and stomps on Chavo in the corner. Chavo counters and hits a few punches to the head. He goes for a clothesline, but Angle manages to hit a back body drop counter.

Angle chokes Chavo on the ropes, but breaks the hold before the DQ. He stomps Chavo in the corner and chokes him with a boot. Chavo gets up and hits a couple of punches, but Angle drops him with a massive clothesline. Angle picks him up and hits a vertical suplex for a quick 2-count. He locks on a gut wrench submission, but Chavo gets up and hits Angle with a couple of elbows. He hits the ropes, but Angle counters with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a 1-count. Angle stomps on Chavo and picks him up, but Chavo counters with a series of punches. Chavo counters an Irish whip attempt with a head scissors takedown, and drops Angle with a dropkick for a 1-count. Angle backs himself into the corner, and Chavo meets him there with punches. Angle counters a clothesline attempt with a release belly-to-belly suplex and sets Chavo up for the Angle slam.

Chavo counters the finisher attempt and rolls Angle up for a 2-count. Chavo picks Angle up and goes for the Three Amigos, but Angle counters after the first one and hits his triple German suplex combo. Angle goes for the Ankle Lock, but Chavo counters and hits the Three Amigos successfully. Chavo motions for the Frog Splash and climbs the turnbuckles. Angle rolls out of the way, and hits Chavo with the Angle Slam. Hernandez distracts Angle before he can lock on the Ankle Lock, allowing Chavo to sneak up from behind with the roll-up for the win.

Chavo Guerrero wins via pinfall (6:41)

All four men meet in the ring and begin arguing as Daniels and Kazarian appear on the ramp. Chavo tells them to come down to the ring and talk tough, but the tag champions remain on the ramp and hold up their belts. A replay of the match's finish is shown as we head to commercial.

    ******

Once again, we head right to the ring for the next match of the night. Douglas Williams is already in the ring as he awaits his opponent.

    TNA X-Division Championship: Douglas Williams VS Zema Ion {c}

Zema wastes no time and slaps Williams in the face before kicking him in the gut. Zema turns around to take off his vest, allowing Williams the chance to mount an offence. He clotheslines Zema right out of the ring. Zema tries to crawl up the ramp, but Williams grabs him and hits him with a couple of punches. Zema throws Williams into the ring post before rolling him back in the ring.

Williams catches Zema with an elbow, but Zema snaps on a unique armbar submission for the quick victory.

Zema Ion retains via submission (1:17)

The ref tries to get Zema to break the hold, but he refuses. The ref reverses his decision, awarding Williams the win, but Zema still retains.

    Douglas Williams wins via DQ

Zema Ion grabs a mic and tells Hogan and Sting to not even consider him as a partner for the match against Aces & 8s because there's no way he's putting his good looks at risk. He backs up the ramp with his belt held high as Tenay and Taz hype up tonight's main event. They say that we're going to hear more from King Mo tonight, and they cut to a video package about what events led to this signing. After the video, King Mo is shown heading to the ring as we head to commercial.

    ******

Back from commercial, we see Bruce Pritchard and D'Lo Brown watching a match from a recent house show on his iPad. It shows Matt Morgan jumping in the ring and kicking the referee in the face. Pritchard yells at D'Lo for letting it happen, and D'Lo vows that it will never happen again. We head back ringside.

James Storm's music hits and he makes his way to the ring in his street clothes. He grabs a mic as he heads in the ring. Storm says they're only 10 days away from the biggest PPV of the year, Bound For Glory, and 10 days away from the biggest night of his life. He says that he's not going to the PPV to prove he's a better wrestler or fighter, he's going to prove that he's the better man. Storm says that Hogan doesn't like his officials being pushed around, so he appointed a special enforcer in the match. Storm goes on talking about King Mo, but is interrupted by Bobby Roode's music, and Roode makes his way to the stage with a mic in his hand.

Roode says he doesn't give a damn about some Bellator fighter called King Mo, and quite frankly neither should Storm. He says the only thing that should be on his mind is that he has to step in the ring with Roode. He says Storm has never beaten him and rode his coattails during their time in Beer Money. Roode says that Storm got one thing right, this feud has been brewing for a year now, and at the PPV it's going to explode. Roode says that this isn't just a match, it's going to be a fight, and he won't stop until he is standing over Storm's bloody carcass, knowing that he ended Storm's career. Roode says no one can stop him, and he calls King Mo out to the ring. Roode says he is the It Factor of professional wrestling, and there's not a thing that Mo can do to change that.

Sure enough, King Mo's music hits, and he makes his way out to the stage. Roode drops the mic and turns around to confront him. Roode makes fun of Mo's attire and pushes him back. Roode takes off his jacket, but Mo pushes him down to the ground. Mo heads down to the ring as Roode makes his way backstage. Mo gets in the ring and gets right in Storm's face, but Storm raises his arm in the air to loud cheers from the crowd. Storm hands Mo a beer and they celebrate in the ring.

Camera cuts backstage to Hogan and Sting in the office again. Hogan says he's already made his pick, and wrote it down on a piece of paper. Sting says they should wait until after Bully Ray's match tonight, because he saw something in Ray's eyes tonight and wants to see what's going to happen. Hogan says he'll watch the match with Sting. We cut to commercial break.

    ******

A shot of Aces & 8s is shown, and they have Joseph Parks tied to a chair and gagged. One of the thugs turns to the camera and says he looks forward to hearing who is going to face his two picks from the gang at Bound For Glory. He says all of his men are willing to die for the brotherhood, and asks Hogan if he can say the same thing about his allies. One of the other thugs sparks a set of jumper cables as the camera fades to black.

Tenay and Taz run down the card for Bound For Glory, and announce that Magnus and Samoa Joe will meet at the PPV to fight for the TNA Television Championship.

We join Christy in the ring to welcome the competitors in tonight's main event.

    ******

Bully Ray VS Jeff Hardy VS Austin Aries

Back from commercial and we join the match in progress as Bully Ray drops Hardy down. Aries is shown on the outside, and he climbs in the ring as Ray leaves. Aries and Hardy get the crowd hyped up, but Ray pulls him out of the ring and throws him into the ring post. He charges Aries in the corner but gets caught with a boot and a cross body. Aries charges Ray in the corner, but gets dropped with a boot to the face. Hardy comes out of nowhere and hits Poetry in Motion on Ray. Hardy nails a couple of dropkicks as Ray sits up, and then drops him with a Twist of Fate. He climbs to the top rope and hits a Swanton for a 2-count, but Aries breaks the pin up and throws him to the floor.

Aries locks on a submission, but Hardy comes back in the ring and breaks it up. Aries and Hardy argue, and turn around to get hit with a double clothesline from Ray. Ray throws Hardy out to the floor again, and back-drops Aries outside as well. Ray grabs Aries and attempts to suplex him back in the ring, but Aries drops down and smashes Ray's throat into the ropes. He climbs up top and hits a dropkick on Ray. Aries sets him up for a Brainbuster, but Ray counters. He goes to the corner and looks for his chain, but can't find it (it's around his neck). He grabs the title belt from ringside and hits Aries.

Ray hits the Bubba Bomb on Hardy for the pinfall.

Bully Ray wins via pinfall (4:05)

Ray makes his way up the ramp, screaming into the camera and asking if Sting was watching. Aries is shown in the ring yelling at Hardy for costing him the match. The crowd chants loudly for Hardy as Aries continues to berate him. Hardy dances around in the ring to more cheers as Aries leaves.

Hogan and Sting are shown leaving the office backstage, making their way ringside as we head to commercial.

    ******

Back from commercial, Sting's music hits and he and Hogan make their way to the ring as Tenay hypes up the decision they have to make regarding who will join Sting at Bound For Glory. Both men look serious as they climb into the ring and get ready to make the revelation.

Hogan says that Aces & 8s has been running roughshod around the Impact Zone, and says how personal this problem is getting now. Hogan says that he's going to be watching, but it's the man in the trenches they have to worry about: Sting. Hogan says Sting will do whatever he has to do to get Aces & 8s out of TNA for good, but he needs a good partner. Hogan says they've talked to a lot of talent tonight and considered a lot of names for the part, including Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. Hogan says that even Bully Ray wants in. But at the end of the day, Hogan says they need someone who can get the job done. He says that they've made an agreement on who their partner will be, and it is none other than Ken Anderson. Hogan asks Anderson to make his way to the ring, and Anderson's music hits.

Anderson doesn't make his way to the ring however, and the video screen lights up showing Anderson getting beat down by Aces & 8s backstage. Hogan screams for somebody to go and help Anderson. Bully Ray runs down to the ring and grabs the mic from Hogan.

Ray says that Hogan made a mistake picking Anderson over him, and asks Sting to talk some sense into Hogan. He asks if Anderson is really the guy Sting wants by his side when he goes to war. Ray says that Sting needs to go to war with a fellow warrior, and says that no one has proven to be more of a warrior than he has. Ray says Sting needs to convince Hogan of the same thing, and says he wants Aces & 8s gone more than anybody. Ray says Sting needs him to fight, and the fans need him to fight for the company. Ray asks Sting if he knows who he is. Ray says that he is Bully Ray, and he's the guy who will go to war with Sting. Hogan and Sting consider it for a minute, and Sting looks like he's on board. Hogan looks hesitant though. Ray offers his hand to Hogan and says once again that he is Hogan's guy, and he's standing by his brother's (Sting's) side. Sting continues to hype Ray up, and Hogan eventually shakes Ray's hand. Hogan says that Ray is fighting for everybody here, and Ray tells him he's got it as the show goes off the air.

What Led To Kelly Kelly's WWE Release?

What Led To Kelly Kelly's WWE Release?
Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/03/2012 at 09:00 PM

As announced last Friday by WWE, the sports-entertainment organization has come to terms on the release of Kelly Kelly, ending her six-year run with the company. The split had been predicted since she decided to take a hiatus in late May.

Those close to the matter thought it was likely her tenure was coming to an end after she was negative on signing a long-term contract extension and had requested time off. She was given time off under the believe that she would return full-time. However, those close to her say wasn't sure about resuming a full-time schedule and was looking to pursue other endeavors.

Her situation was similar to many others talent who have left the company, particularly women, in the past two years. She was forced to reject numerous media offers, either because WWE didn’t want her involved or because WWE has made its product too kid-friendly that companies don't want to associate with them. The matter is tied to women, because of those limitations.

Since Kelly had already earned her downside guarantee for the year and had no intention on returning full-time, there was no money left for her to earn by avoiding asking for her release. Plus, she wanted to pursue outside opportunities sooner rather than later.

During a advertisement campaign shoot last week for Let if Fly Energy, an energy drink line, she received a text message from Triple H. He informed her that by the terms of her contract, she needed to have a calendar that she planned to sell on her official site approved by WWE officials. She tweeted previews of some risque lingerie pictures for the calendar and the company demanded she take them down.

Kelly had also been dealing with neck issues from wrestling. WWE officials requested that see Dr. Joseph Maroon, head of medical. She preferred to be examined by her own doctor. With the accumulated injuries, she wanted to leave wrestling at the age of 25 rather than be physically broken down physically and too old to pursue outside entertainment endeavors years later. However, it is believed that she would have stayed with WWE if they let her make occasional appearances rather than not work full-time.

WWE didn't perceive Kelly as reaching a level known as the “Mick Foley deal,” where they are under contract, work occasionally, and are free to pursue outside endeavors. WWE does not want create a precedent where talent has control over what they do, which is an issue affecting their relations with Chris Jericho.

    Backstage News on Antonio

WWE officials are very high on United States Champion Antonio Cesaro. WWE feels they will make a lot of money off Cesaro in the future so expect his push to continue.

Some feel that WWE wanted to do right by Cesaro and that's why they hired his girlfriend Sara Del Rey as a developmental trainer.
