This past Monday's (Sept. 3, 2012) episode of WWE Raw featured CM Punk revealing himself to be in cahoots with Paul Heyman after helping Alberto Del Rio pick up a victory over John Cena in the main event.

Throughout the course of the evening, Sheamus blasted Ricardo Rodriguez with a Brogue Kick intended for Del Rio. This is important because it led to David Otunga coming into the picture as legal representation for the number one contender to the world heavyweight title.

That plays a big part in the show this Friday night from Moline, Illinois.

Plus, Randy Orton hasn't disappeared from TV just yet. In fact, he's back to continue his feud with Dolph Ziggler and it may even be leading to a match at Night of Champions.

Find out exactly what you'll see this Friday, courtesy of the Wrestling Observer, after the jump.

    Star-divide

-- David Otunga is now full blown representing Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez, to the point of opening the show and demanding that Booker T ban the Brogue Kick because of how dangerous it is. So the Smackdown General Manager let the Quad City fans decide and they said no.

-- Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara def. Cody Rhodes and The Miz. This is probably the least surprising result/happening/feud ever.

-- Otunga continued his crusade to get the Brogue Kick banned by arguing crowd reaction doesn't stand up legally.

-- Zack Ryder def. Daniel Bryan via disqualification after Bryan refused to break the No Lock upon the referee's instructions after winning by tapout. Naturally, he snapped and continued having all the anger problems he's been taking classes for.

-- Damien Sandow did his usual thing, being awesome and whatnot, but was interrupted by Randy Orton, who revealed the two were to have a match under orders from Booker T. They did so and Orton won by count out after Sandow once again walked out of a match he was losing. Dolph Ziggler came out to brawl but Orton got the better of him before Sandow tried to run back in. He ended up eating an RKO and making an inadvertent save for Ziggler, who escaped off.

-- Otunga kept going in his crusade to get the Brogue Kick banned, busting out x-rays this time. All it got him was booked in a match against Sheamus in the main event.

-- The Prime Time Players def. Primo and Epico in what was billed as a number one contender match to the tag team championships, with Kofi Kingston and R-Truth doing commentary. It looks like that match is happening at Night of Champions.

-- Wade Barrett def. Yoshi Tatsu in a squash, apparently with a new finisher. So he's back after eight months away and weeks of vignettes on Raw in a throwaway Smackdown match? Weird.

-- Sheamus def. Otunga. During the match, Sheamus was about to hit the Brogue Kick when Booker came out and finally decided to ban it. So Sheamus submitted Otunga with the Texas Cloverleaf instead.

Kurt Angle Reportedly Suffers Another Injury

Kurt Angle Reportedly Suffers Another Injury
Posted by Steve Carrier on 09/07/2012 at 07:48 AM

    - Kurt Angle appeared to re-injure himself at last night's TNA live event in Dalton, Georgia. Angle worked the main event against Mr. Anderson but it ended after just over six minutes. Angle won with an Angle Slam but reportedly worked a limited match. They did as post-match angle with Anderson and Angle battling Aces & 8s members.

Following that, Angle was seen talking to a crew member at ringside before trainers came down and helped him to the back. Angle was limping after the match ended and on the way to the back. It was reported last weekend that Angle suffered a hamstring injury at another live event.

Angle is scheduled to team with AJ Styles against TNA Tag Team Champions Kazarian & Daniels at Sunday's No Surrender pay-per-view.

Bully Ray Re-Signs with TNA for Two Years
Bully Ray Re-Signs with TNA for Two Years

    - PWInsider confirms that Bully Ray has signed a new contract with TNA. He re-signed 3-4 days ago and word is that it's for two years. Ray will continue to wrestle for TNA and work as a backstage agent.

This is the first time in years that Ray and Devon won't be working together in a promotion. They will continue to work together at their Team 3D Academy in Florida. There was talk at Thursday's Impact that TNA "didn't do right by Devon" because he got himself into better shape and did everything asked, including working with younger talents like Garett Bischoff. Some people in TNA were shocked that the company did not re-sign Devon because he was one of the most well liked.

We kick off the show with Antonio Cesaro, who enlightens us on his language speaking abilities. We’ve got a main event of Primo & Epico vs Kofi & Truth.

Justin Gabriel vs Antonio Cesaro w/Aksana

The two start off grappling lightly, with little going on. Bit of chain wrestling from each guy before Gabriel starts to pick up some speed with a dropkick and a monkey flip, taking Cesaro out of his game. Gabriel goes for a diving crossbody but Cesaro catches him with his knee. Cesaro begins to work over the body of Gabriel and stomps on his gut. Surfboard from Cesaro. Gabriel with a roll up and a bit of offense before Cesaro takes control as we head into the break.

Cesaro kicking Gabriel as Gabriel attempts to make a comeback. Cesaro uses the abdominal stretch while holding the rope, unseen to the ref. Gabriel with a hip toss out of the stretch. Cesaro takes control again though. Gabriel fights back with some elbows. Match picks up now. Gabriel with a big spinning heel kick and then a springboard cross body. Gabriel goes to the rope but Cesaro gets up. Gabriel jumps but Cesaro hits the Neutralizer for the victory.

    Winner: Antonio Cesaro

    Natalya vs Layla

Little bit of chain wrestling to kick off as Layla does the usual shtick of going for near falls and dancing. She spanks Natalya. Natalya takes control as they get back into the ring. Backbreaker and a big clothesline. Natalya stretches Layla before hitting a suplex. Layla with the big round house kick for the win in a short match.

    Winner: Layla

    Damien Sandow vs Alex Riley

Riley starts off strong until Sandow leaves the ring. Seems to be a common occurrence now. Riley starts going off on Sandow as he returns into the ring with a big neckbreaker. Sandow gets off a cheap shot in Riley’s leg to take control. Sandow works over Riley’s leg. Sandow puts the knee into Riley’s back and throws on a chinlock. Sandow with the usual russian leg sweep followed by the elbow of disdain. Riley starts making the comeback with a big clothesline and a beautiful spinebuster. One of the better ones in the company. Riley goes for the DDT but Sandow gets away. Riley with a clothesline off the ropes for a near fall. Riley goes for the TKO but Sandow breaks out and hits his neckbreaker for the cover and the win.

    Winner: Damien Sandow

    Commercial break

Epico & Primo vs Kofi Kingston & R-Truth

Truth and Primo kick us off. Some shenanigans with little jimmy as Truth and Jimmy hit a double leg trip. Truth with the tag to Kofi, who hits a cross body. Actually thought it might end since Kofi has won with that before. Kofi with a headscissors takedown. Epico gets the tag and tries a monkey flip but Kofi catches himself and hits his own. Truth comes back in and does his dancing leg drop after a double hip toss from him and Kofi. Epico takes control as a distraction leads to Primo attacking Truth. Epico with a senton onto Truth. Primo gets in and goes for a chin lock but Truth fights out with some help from the crowd.

Primo stops Truth from making the tag and gets Epico in. Primo back in. Irish whip from Epico and Truth walks right into a dropkick. Primo puts Truth back in the chinlock. Truth fights out and makes the big tag to Kofi as Epico also comes in. Kofi hits the boom drop and goes for the Trouble in Paradise but Epico gets out of the way. Truth sends Primo out of the ring. This time TOP hits and Kofi/Truth get the win.

    Winners: Kofi & Truth

The “Previously on Impact” video concludes and we’re met with a shot of the Impact Zone. Tenay says we’re going to fill out the rest of the BFG final four tonight. A video package lets us know we’re going to find out who joins James Storm in the final four. It highlights Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Bully Ray and Rob Van Dam. A very good video.

The camera highlights Christy Hemme who introduces Jeff Hardy for the opening bout. Samoa Joe joins him shortly after. We’re reminded the first place finisher gets to pick his opponent for this Sunday’s pay-per-view.

    Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy

The fans are clearly in Jeff Hardy’s corner as the two circle the ring. Tenay and Taz compare the BFG series to sports playoffs. Joe wrenches the wrist of Jeff Hardy until Hardy finds the ropes. They grapple with Hardy applying a headlock. “Let’s go Hardy, Let’s go Joe chants.” Joe whips Hardy into the ropes and brings him down with a shoulder block. Hardy rolls to the outside.

Hardy returns back inside and meets Joe with another grapple. Joe takes Hardy into the corner as we are given a split screen with James Storm watching backstage. Punches from Joe to Hardy take Hardy to the mat. The ref forces Samoa Joe off. Joe tosses Hardy to the outside and joins him. Joe delivers a knee to the chest and follows that up by sending Hardy’s face into the steps. Hardy blocks and sends Joe into the steps. Hardy asks the fans to move back and he leaps off the steps and onto Joe with a leg to the face knocking both men down. Commercial break.

We’re back from commercial with Joe smashing Hardy in the face with an elbow. He drops down for a pin but Hardy is up after two. More split chants from the fans. Headbutt by the Samoan. Joe tosses Hardy into the corner and begins working him over with shots to the face. He whips Hardy into the opposite corner and meets him with a back splash-enziguri combo. Pin by Joe gets two. Joe lifts Hardy by his hair and the two trade shots. Hardy delivers a series of punches but his offense is halted by a Joe powerslam. Another two count. Headbutt by Joe but Hardy fires back with a clothesline. Another clothesline. Atomic drop by Hardy is followed up with a legdrop. Hardy goes for the cover and gets a two count.

Jawbreaker by Hardy. He climbs the turnbuckle but Joe is up quickly. Hardy tries a Twist of Faith but Joe locks in a chokehold. Hardy breaks out and nails Joe with the Whisper in the Wind. Twist of Faith but Joe is on his feet. Hardy takes down Samoa Joe and locks in a side headlock. Joe taps out giving Jeff Hardy the ten points. Jeff Hardy def. Samoa Joe via Submission

    Winner: Jeff Hardy

    - An Aces and Eights video plays. Austin Aries is in the back with Hulk Hogan. Hogan lets Aries knows the “little guy” that flap jacked Aries last week will be here tonight. The Hulkster gives Aries permission to break his legs and Aries is pleased with the development.

    - Christy Hemme tries to interview Samoa Joe but he’s interrupted by Brutus Magnus. Magnus brings up their tag team days and blames Joe for the break up. He claims to be over it and wishes Joe “all the best.” Magnus walks away allowing Joe to turn his attention back to Christy but Magnus comes back and nails Joe from behind.

    - Hogan is back with the TNA midcard. Chavo, the Robbies E and T and Hernandez are amongst the wrestlers. Hogan asks the guys to plead their case for a tag team title shot. Robbie calls Chavo a has-been but Hogan defends him. Hogan asks Kid Kash and Gunner to talk but don’t really say much. Chavo tries to talk but AJ Styles walks in and asks for an opportunity. Hogan says the first elimination is an easy one and eliminates AJ Styles from the room.

    - Brooke Hogan is with Tara now. She gives Tara a Knockouts Title match against Brooke Tessmacher this Sunday. She talks about Taryn Terrell but Gail Kim walks into the room. Hogan makes a match between Kim and Tara and the two bicker.

    - On October 14, Spike is going to air a Countdown to Bound for Glory special before the PPV. So mark your calendars.

    - Taryn Terrell is in the ring and we’re set for the Gail Kim/Tara bout.

    Tara vs. Gail Kim

Kim takes down Tara with a takedown. Tara gets to her feet but Kim takes her out with a dropkick. Armdrag from Tara. Kim gets whipped into the results and Tara flips her on the rebound. Flying armbar from Gail Kim. Kim sends Tara into the ropes and rushes into her with an splash to the stomach. She goes for a pin attempt but it gets a two count. Kim chokes Tara with her boot but Terrell takes her off. Kim gets caught off guard with a roll up by Tara. Kim nails her in the head and goes for another pinfall, two count.

Tara gets the advantage with a flurry of punches. She takes her down with a boot and lifts Kim for a vertical suplex. She covers and gets a two count. Tara tries to follow up but Kim trips her into the second rope. Kim climbs the turnbuckle but is stopped by Tara. Tara retrieves Kim and drives her to the mat with the Widow’s Peak for the win.

    Winner: Tara

    - We get a Joey Ryan video package. It highlights Ryan’s Gutcheck Challenge from a few months ago. Taz and Pritchard think Ryan was too loose but Pritchard says it was a job well done. The video flashbacks to the Gutcheck results show and we see the rejections from Taz and Pritchard. The video then focuses on Ryan’s clashes with Al Snow. Up next after the commercial break, Al Snow in the ring.

    - We’re back with Snow in the center of the ring. He calls Joey Ryan a jackass that has done nothing but disrupt Impact Wrestling. Snow says he’s giving Joey Ryan another chance and asks him to the ring. He says Ryan has been crying and complaining but is interrupted by a siren. It’s Joey Ryan with a megaphone. He hops the railing and enters the ring.

Snow gets Joey Ryan a mic. “Oh what a difference a day makes.” Ryan tries to say he’s bringing sleazy back but Snow tells him to stop pandering. Snow says he’ll give Ryan another shot at Gutcheck but with no judges. All Ryan needs to do is win. Ryan says it’s a nice offer but he and the 87% have already spoken for him. Ryan says he’s giving Snow and co. a chance to right their wrong but Snow says he has to earn it by going through Gutcheck.

Ryan says he has the confidence, ability and 87% and accepts Snow’s challenge. Snow lets him know Joey Ryan’s opponent for Gutcheck is himself. Joey says it’s not the nineties anymore and Snow says he’ll kick his ass in jeans. Ryan gets slapped and rolls out of the ring. He screams at Snow, letting him know that he can’t be touched because he doesn’t work there. He threatens to sue. He hops the rails and leaves to a chorus of boos from the Impact faithful.

    - Everyone’s favorite lawyer Joseph Park is in the back on the phone when he’s interrupted by Bully Ray. Ray says he comes in peace and the two of them have the same concern. Rays asks for an update on the Aces and Eights but Park brings up Attorney-Client privilege. Rays tells Park to watch out because he knows people like that.

    - One of the members of the Aces and Eights is brought to a room by TNA security. Austin Aries enters the rings and says he has some questions for the guy. He says he better start talking or Aries is going to have “fun.” A graphic for the upcoming Rob van Dam-Bully Ray match leads the show to a commercial break.

    - We’re back in the back with the tag teams and Hogan. Chavo says he and Hernandez have already beaten Gunner and Kash. The Robbies says Hernandez and Chavo have only been a tag team for three weeks. The Robbies have been tagging for a year and a half. Hogan eliminates Gunner and Kid Kash from the competition.

    - Tenay says James Storm has clinched the right to pick his opponent for No Surrender. Tenay says Storm will be out after the match to make his decision.

Bully Ray vs. Rob Van Dam

The bell rings and RVD taunts for the fans. Ray mocks the taunt and shows off his calves. RVD punches Ray. He tries to follow it up with a kick but RVD is caught. They reset. Ray delivers a kick to the middle and follows that up with multiple punches. RVD latches on a headlock. Ray takes RVD down and begins kicking him. He punches the back of RVD’s head but RVD takes him down with a quick rollup. Not even a one count.

They lock up with RVD getting the advantage with a headlock. Ray counters with a bear hug but RVD keeps the hold on. Ray tries to carry RVD but RVD stands his ground. Ray sends RVD into the ropes but RVD is back with a kick to the chest. Ray tries a hiptoss but RVD lands on his feet. RVD kicks Ray and covers for a two count. Ray rolls out. Ray tries to re-enter but RVD is there with a baseball slide dropkick. Flip dive from RVD to Ray. RVD sends Ray back inside and ascends the turnbuckle. Ray knocks him down with the ropes and hangs him by the knee. Ray pounds the knee until Hebner pulls him off. Ray immediately goes back to the knee until RVD falls to the mat.

Ray slams the knee to the mat. He stands on it, once again forcing a count from the referee. He drops an elbow onto the knee and applies a lock. RVD tries an armbar but Ray holds onto the knee. He punches the knee and relinquishes hold of RVD. RVD gets up in the corner but Ray is there to knock him down with some punches. Ray tries to mount some offense but RVD stops him with a kick. RVD delivers a series of punches and clotheslines that knock Ray down. Ray tries a big boot but RVD catches and nails him with a dragon whip. Rolling thunder. He goes for the cover and gets two.

He takes RVD out with a boot to the head and gets a two from the ref. Bully tries a middle rope splash but RVD rolls out of the way. RVD tries a splash of his own but Ray rolls out. RVD lands with a springboard sidekick and climbs the turnbuckle. He leaps off for the frogsplash but Bully is there with the Bubba Cutter for the three!

    Winner: Bully Ray

    - We’re back with Aries and the mystery Aces and Eights member. We learn his name is Mike and he’s from New York. Aries says the Aces and Eights don’t care about Mike and they’re only there for the TNA World Heavyweight title. He gives Mike an ultimatum: he can talk to him or resort to violence. He slaps Mike and says no one is going to save him. Aries clamps Mike’s tongue with pliers but Hulk Hogan enters the ring. Hogan stops Aries but slaps Mike in the face. Hogan is about to continue the assault but he gets a phone call from someone named VP. Aries wants the guy that broke his hand, the mystery phone caller wants Mike back.

Hogan and the caller make a deal. They’ll trade Mike for the guy who broke Aries’ arm. If the Aces and Eights are to get Mike back, Aries and the arm-breaker will fight at No Surrender. Hogan walks away and tells Aries to “let him live until the end of the show.” Commercial break.

    - James Storm’s music greets Impact Wrestling back from commercial. The fans chant “Cowboy” as he makes his way down the aisle. He grabs a mic and says he’s been on a roller coaster ride. He starts recapping his year and says Lockdown made him doubt himself. He went home to spend time with his family and they all told him something was missing. Storm realized he WAS missing something and that was him missing the crowd going crazy. He mentions ending Crimson’s streak at Slammiversary (where’d that guy go) and says that as the names have gotten bigger, he’s gotten better. Storm asks the other final four members out and out come Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe.

Storm goes over the accomplishments of Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe and decides on picking Bully Ray for No Surrender. He tells Ray to come down to the ring and Ray obliges. Storm says Ray ended his chance at glory last year and he will end Ray’s chances this year. He says he knows exactly who Bully Ray is and this Sunday, Ray will find out who James Storm is.

    - The camera pans to Mike in the back and Tenay wonders if the Aces and Eights will accept Hogan’s trade. It then shows Kazarian and Daniels preparing for their match with the mystery tag team. Commercial break.

    - Christy Hemme is backstage with Rob Van Dam. The interview is once again broken up by Magnus. Magnus runs down the opportunity RVD lost by losing to Bully Ray. Magnus says the old RVD would not have fallen at the final hurdle. Magnus calls him an innovator who set the bar high. Maybe too high. Magnus wonders if RVD is the man he once was. This prompts a punch from RVD. The two brawl until they’re separated by Al Snow and other backstage hands.

    - The tag team championship match is up next! Out first are Kazarian and Daniels. Hogan is with the Robbies and Chavo and Hernandez. He says he’s thought about it and gives the tag team match to Chavo and Hernandez. The Robbies are not pleased.

Kazarian and Daniels vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hernandez

The two challengers rush into the ring and clear it of the challengers. Hernandez and Chavo leave the ring with Hernandez pairing with Daniels and Chavo with Kaz. SuperMex lifts Kaz over his head for a stalling vertical suplex. Daniels tries to come in but Chavo takes him out with the Three Amigos. Chavo finishes and then Hernandez finally brings Kaz down. This exchange take us to a commercial.

We’re back with Chavo chopping Daniels in a neutral corner. Guerrero tries an irish whip but Daniels reverses it. Daniels runs into a Chavo boot but Kazarian helps Daniels gain the advantage with a distraction. Daniels mounts chavo and punches him in the face. He nails a slingshot elbow drop and tags in Kaz who comes in with a slingshot legdrop. Chavo is brought up by Kaz who tags in Daniels. They double whip team Chavo with a punch-neckbreaker combo. Daniels sends Chavo to the outside and distracts the ref while Kaz punches Chavo. Chavo is sent back in and Daniels connects with a neckbreaker. Two count.

Kaz is back into the match and Daniels hiptosses Kaz into a legdrop on Chavo. Two count. Kazarian with a double underhook to Chavo. Chavo escapes but is stopped with an elbow and a knee. Kaz tries to mount some offense but Chavo tags in Hernandez. Hernandez flies in with a splash. Hernandez cleans the room but Kazarian lands a big boot on Hernandez. Kazarian leaps off for a crossbody but Hernandez catches him and turns it into a sitout powerbomb. He covers but Kaz breaks it up at two. They double team Hernandez into the corner but Hernandez kicks Daniels out of the ring. Hernandez climbs the tunrnbuckle but is joined by Kaz. Chavo stops Kazarian and Hurricanranas Hernandez onto Kazarian. He goes for the cover and gets a two count before Daniels breaks it up. Chavo delivers a springboard splash to the outside to Kazarian. He knocks Hernandez down with a punch. Kaz holds Chavo for the BME onto the outside but Chavo gets out of the way. Hernandez chimes in with a flying shoulderblock to the outside that takes out both champs. Hernandez sends Kaz back in and Chavo whips him. Hernandez with a Stinger Splash. Daniels brings the belt into the ring and sends Chavo to the outside. Hernandez lifts Kaz for the Border Toss but Daniels nails Hernandez with the belt. Kazarian rolls up Hernandez and the champs retain.

    Winners: Christopher Daniels and Kazarian

    - The champs celebrate but are interrupted by Hulk Hogan. Hogan congratulates them and says AJ Styles is in the back. He makes a match between AJ Styles and Kurt Angle and the tag team champions for No Surrender.

    - Tenay lets us know that RVD and Magnus will also be fighting at No Surrender. Zema Ion is going to be defending his X Division title against Sonjay Dutt. They run down the card including the two BFG Series semi-final matches. Aries and Mike, the mystery Aces and Eights member, are making their way to the ring and we get our last commercial break.

    - Aries is out with Mike. We get a good shot of his face but I’m not sure who he is. He’s handcuffed though. Aries calls the Aces and Eights out. He wants the armbreaker and they want “Mike from New York.” Aries reminds everyone that the Aces and Eights called TNA, not the other way around. Aries says he’ll leave Mike alone in exchange for the Armbreaker. He says it’s time for them to hold up their end of the bargain.

Time passes and Aries says he’s tired of being “railroaded from behind.” His patience is wearing thin and he’s about to call the deal off. He talks down to Mike and threatens to beat him up. He takes Mike in the corner and slaps him. Mike says he’ll talk. Mike is taken out of the ring by a large member of the Aces and Eights. The mystery man nails Mike in the head with a hammer. Aries flies out of the ring and begins brawling with the Armbreaker. Armbreaker tries to get back in the ring but Aries catches him with a kick. The two men brawl with and trade punches. Tenay and Taz says (despite confirmation) that Aries is going to face the big guy, the Armbreaker at No Surrender and the show ends.

Another Former Knockouts Champion Gone From TNA

Another Former Knockouts Champion Gone From TNA

Former Knockouts Champion Winter, aka Katarina Waters, has parted ways with TNA.

The Knockout’s contract expired yesterday, September 5th, and it has not been renewed.

Her Official fansite reports that Kat is available for bookings, writing: “[She] is free to do DVDs, bookings, iPPVs, and whatever else! If interested please send emails to infamousbookings@hotmail.com.”

Winter joined TNA in October 2010 following her release from the WWE. In two years with TNA, Winter became a two-time Knockouts Champion and a one-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Angelina Love.

Her storyline with Angelina began with her TNA debut and continued until it was abruptly dropped in January 2012. Angelina was granted release from the company on July 1st.

Between January and now, Winter had been used very sparingly, prompting many to question her future with TNA.

As reported last month, Winter will team with Maria Kanellis against the reunited Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, next month for FWE.

Byron Saxton excitedly reminds everyone that tonight is the culmination of the Gold Rush Tournament, with Seth Rollins against Jinder Mahal in the finals to determine the first NXT champion.

Jason Jordan and Mike Dalton come out for a re-match of a few weeks ago when Dalton beat Camacho out of nowhere.

JASON JORDAN & MIKE DALTON vs. HUNICO & CAMACHO – Tag Team match

Dalton and Camacho start, and Dalton and Jordan immediate double-team him. Jordan keeps Camacho on the mat with power, but Camacho responds with a big spinebuster. Jordan gets isolated by Hunico and Camacho. Hunico shows surprising strength for his size, lifting Jordan off the mat with a pumphandle hold and body-slamming him. Jordan finally tags in Dalton, who takes Hunico down with speed. Dalton with a really amazing move, reversing a flapjack into a huracanrana into a roll-through into a cover for a nearfall. The ref gets distracted by Jordan, letting Hunico land a brainbuster for the win, as Camacho keeps Jordan from breaking up the tag.

WINNERS: Hunico & Camacho in 4:06. All we saw of Mike Dalton before was him getting beat up and rolling up Camacho for the win; this time, he had a few minutes to shine, and he made excellent use of those minutes. He really seems like he has excellent potential for in-ring excitement, and I look forward to seeing more of him on NXT.

The Usos come out, and Jimmy reminds viewers of their loss to The Ascension and subsequent beat down last week. The Ascension take advantage of their dark-arena entrance to sneak up behind The Usos and ambush them. They handily destroy The Usos, including a sick tag team where O’Brien lands a chop block while Cameron hits a spinning heel kick at the same time, they do it to both Uso brothers. That was pretty unique for a beat down, between using the entrance as an advantage, and not just ganging up and stomping and punching The Usos.

Video package on Alicia Fox, with clips making her sound a bit heelish.

    Video package on Antonio Cesaro.

    Raw Rebound.

2 – VIC DONOVAN vs. BIG E. LANGSTON

Langston just demolishes Donovan, finishing him with a sort of cutter from a body slam position, if a cutter involved holding the waist instead of the neck.

WINNER: Big E. Langston in 0:40. Not much to say, it was a squash.

Video packages on Ryback and John Cena.

They bring out the NXT roster to the ramp for the culmination of the Gold Rush Tournament. JR, William Regal, and Byron Saxton have announcing duties.

Backstage, Briley Pearce interviews Big E. Langston. Langston breaths heavy instead of answering questions, and Pearce slinks away.

Dusty Rhodes comes out, and they have Howard Finkel doing the intro. Rhodes takes the NXT title belt to the ring. Jinder Mahal comes out to boos and jeers from the crowd and NXT roster. Seth Rollins comes out next, to cheers from the crowd and claps from the roster, and they need to back up and give him some space for his flailing entrance. Finkel gives a full, formal ring intro for the championship match. The ref shows both wrestlers the title to further enhance it as a big deal. Rhodes shakes Rollins’s hand, but Mahal refuses the handshake and acts like he is should be declared champion now.

SETH ROLLINS vs. JINDER MAHAL – Gold Rush Tournament Final match

Rollins quickly takes down Mahal in an early lock-up, and then repeats it. Mahal needs a rope break to get away, and uses it to sucker punch Rollins and take control. Rollins quickly turns it away again. Rollins continues to outwit and out wrestle Mahal, until Mahal trips him on the apron, then throws him from the apron to the ramp.

It isn’t good for the win, and Mahal starts to look frustrated.

    Video package on C.M. Punk.

Mahal is controlling Rollins with a hold out of the break. Rollins tries to rally, but Mahal blocks a suplex and continues his attack. The crowd and the roster members on the ramp are hungry for Rollins to make a comeback, but he continues to absorb abuse. Mahal cuts off another rally with a high knee. Mahal wants the Camel Clutch, but Rollins gets to the ropes before it is locked in. Rollins looks half dead, but a surprise enziguri gets him some space. Rhodes looks appreciate on the outside.

Rollins is finally able to get some traction, and he moves faster and faster as he does more damage. Mahal misses a high knee in the corner and falls over the ropes to the ringside. Rollins to the top and he lands a big crossbody to Mahal on the outside. Rollins rolls Mahal into the ring and goes to the top, but Mahal crotches him. Mahal with a superplex and they are both down.

    Video package on Layla.

Rollins and Mahal are just getting to their feet from the break. They trade bombs as JR reminds us that Rollins’s back may be hurt and Mahal’s knee looks like it is in pain. Rollins kicks out of a tilt-a-whirl side slam, but Mahal is slow to get up too. Rollins with a Pele kick and a knee drop to the back of Mahal’s head from the top rope gets two-and-seven-eighths. They are both slow to recover, and everything Rollins does takes a lot out of him, too. Mahal dodges a corkscrew moonsault and stalks Rollins. Rollins barely kicks out of a full nelson slam. Mahal sets up the Camel Clutch, but Rollins gets the ropes. Mahal re-applies it, but Rollins rolls him up instead. Rollins manages to pick Mahal off the mat and powerbomb him into the turnbuckle, and he follows with the Blackout for the win.

WINNER: Seth Rollins in 15:31. That was a beyond emotional win. Rollins put up a great fight, appearing to be the underdog against the odds, but never looking so weak that his win was a fluke. Easily the best match Mahal has ever been in. The last time WWE built up to a title match with this level of seriousness and made it seem like the title was this important was John Cena and C.M. Punk at Money in the Bank last year. Despite knowing who was winning from various reports, I was incredibly emotionally invested in this match, dying to see the rookie Rollins defeat the larger veteran Mahal. This match also proved that Rollins can easily put together long-form matches. This match felt like such a big deal, from the video package last week involving major Superstars, the roster being on the ramp to watch, Howard Finkel’s formal introduction, the presentation of the belt by the ref… everything about it was picture perfect to make you feel like Seth Rollins just won the most important prize in professional wrestling.

Post-match, Rollins breaks down in emotion and the crowd is going nuts. Mahal can barely roll out of the ring, and even Dusty Rhodes looks amazed. Rollins and Rhodes hug in the ring and Rhodes raises his hand in victory. The face Superstars from the ramp rush the ring and hold Rollins up on their shoulders. He jumps the railing and celebrates with the crowd.

RUMOR: TNA Knockout Sarita At Risk of Losing CMLL Contract?

TNA Knockout Saritais rumored to be battling some issues with her CMLL contract. As we announced earlier, She is scheduled to for a two month excursion to Japan for womens promotion STARDOM. According to reports from The Wrestling Observer, CMLL officials are fuming mad that Sarita accepted the bookings without the consent of the promotion. CMLL currently has a working relationship with female promotion REINA in Japan. The situation now officially puts a CMLL signed wrestler working for their partners competition.

Sarita has appeared at a few STARDOM shows in March. She also celebrated her 10th anniversary in the wrestling business at one of the shows in Japan. According to the observer report, CMLL has continuously mis-advertised Sarita as appearing at events with full knowledge that she will not be able to in an attempt to damage her reputation in Mexico. The report also alleges that CMLL may plan on forcing Sarita to sit out her remaining appearance dates on her contract without allowing her to make any appearances in Mexico as CMLL officials have full control of her work visa status.

Sarita has informed fans of her current appearances through her Facebook page. After CMLL continued to falsely advertise her for shows, she wrote Thursday, "Just letting you all know that I'm still in Japan and will not be wrestling in Guadalajara in the upcoming weeks. Sorry for the confusion."

Why Christian is Absent from TV, New Feud Planned

Why Christian is Absent from TV, New Feud Planned
Posted by Steve Carrier on 09/05/2012 at 08:35 AM

    - There is speculation about Christian's WWE status after he hasn't appeared on RAW and SmackDown in a few weeks. Christian was scheduled to feud with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro but word is that WWE officials want to keep Christian off TV until after TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view in October.

Christian is scheduled to appear during Bound For Glory weekend and induct Sting into TNA's Hall of Fame. This is part of the deal between WWE and TNA that allowed Ric Flair to appear at the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year.

While there is no heat on Christian because he didn't choose to appear for TNA, WWE officials don't want him appearing for them while he's in the middle of a title feud on their programming. Expect him to feud with Cesaro later this year unless things change.

Matt Hardy Posts His Mission Statement

Matt Hardy Posts His Mission Statement
Posted by Steve Carrier on 09/01/2012 at 08:58 AM

    - Matt Hardy posted the following on Facebook last night:

    MY MISSION STATEMENT

My turbulent time in life is done. I will not be negative again. I will not be stained by hate again. I will not use poor judgment again. I will not be hypocritical, and I will always try to be brutally honest with everyone I interact with. Without going into intricate details now, last Thanksgiving I had a vision that led me to believe I have a purpose to serve in this life. Everyday it becomes more of a reality. My body is slowly becoming healthy again.. It's time for me to utilize it by realizing it's current maximum potential and by being disciplined in doing so. I can make a difference because of the experiences I've learned from my victories and my failures. And I will. I refuse to let ANYONE or ANYTHING detour me from what the future holds for me. This has caused changes in my life and may mean more.. But if God and the bigger plan calls for it, then so be it. If you've believed in me throughout my ups and downs, thank you so much for your support. If you believed in me, and then I lost your faith, I understand. I hope you and any non-believers or pessimistic skeptics will follow me in the future. I hope to change your minds. Regardless, I have to do what I know is right-for me, for my loved ones, and my true friends. I've been given SO much by SO many people, it's my turn to give back by helping, sharing, and teaching. I know what I have to do in my lifetime.. My name is Matt Hardy and I'm a small-town boy from Cameron, NC with big-time dreams. I take pride in the truth of my own reality-and that empowers me. It's now my time and job now to empower you. Godspeed everyone.

Ziggler Says He's Ready for the Main Event Scene

Ziggler Says He's Ready for the Main Event Scene
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/31/2012 at 12:53 PM

In an interview with Jan Murphy for the Kingston Whig-Standard publication, Dolph Ziggler said he feels like his character is about to reach main-event status after being on a "constant build, clawing or scratching for every inch" WWE has given him.

“Had I been handed it, it might not have worked out the same. I might not be as grateful for everything that’s slowly but surely coming my way. Bit man, I’ve been chomping at this main event scene for two, three years now, ready to go, and I think it’s going hit right at the peak of my career, right when I’m starting to figure out more and more. I’m learning every day. I think it’s just going to hit at the right time and it’s just going to blow up.”

Ziggler also mentioned about making it an "art form" to be the “bad guy who gets beat up."

"I go out there and I try to do it better than everyone else. Whether I’m a punching bag for 30 seconds or going out there and having a 30-minute classic, I find a way to stand out and do what I do better than everyone else.”
