This past Monday's (Aug. 20, 2012) episode of WWE Raw featured all the fallout from the Summerslam pay-per-view (PPV) event that took place this past Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

That included Alberto Del Rio losing to Randy Orton after World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus interfered. Those three all meet up in this one, and the result may surprise you.

And don't forget about Dolph Ziggler, fresh on the heels of vanquishing Chris Jericho from WWE. He's also still got that Money in the Bank briefcase.

    Tease!

Find out exactly what you'll see this Friday, courtesy of the Wrestling Observer, after the jump.

-- Because of his victory on Raw, Randy Orton came out claiming he was the new number one contender. Sheamus was on board with this as well, seeing as the two were working towards a feud before the Wellness Policy bit "The Viper" in the ass again. Alberto Del Rio wasn't having any of this talk, though, and made clear he was cheated (which he was) and he should be getting another shot at the world title. Booker T, being the fair General Manager he is, made a match between Orton and Del Rio for the main event, winner gets the next shot.

-- Ryback def. Jinder Mahal in his usual manner. The guy is mostly uninteresting but he's over with the fans. Somehow.

-- Layla def. Alicia Fox. Kaitlyn, the number one contender to the Diva's championship, confronted her before Eve Torres showed up. Instead of any shenanigans, she simply raised Layla and Fox's hands, confusing the shit out of everyone.

-- A backstage segment led to Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler getting booked for the main event of the top of the first hour.

-- Heath Slater def. Sin Cara after interference from Cody Rhodes.

-- Santino Marella had a "heart-to-heart" with The Cobra, which led to Antonio Cesaro attacking him and rubbing in his U.S. title win at SummerSlam.

-- Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler via disqualification after Ziggler used the briefcase as a weapon. He also teased cashing it in afterwards but opted not to do so.

-- Kofi Kingston and R-Truth def. Epico and Primo. Matt Striker asked them after the match who they wanted to face next and this led to an all out brawl. Booker T tried to get some insight from Teddy Long on the situation and Eve showed up to upstage Long by breaking out a list of all the tag teams win-loss records.

-- Del Rio def. Orton in the main event. He did so clean, too, with the Cross Armbreaker. After, ADR brawled with Sheamus and got the better of him. Yet again, Ziggler came out to tease a cash-in but was met with an RKO from Orton.

Photos were taken to perpetuate the fraud and create the blackmail. She says that she is ready to take responsibility for her action. She regrets naming A.J. as the person responsible for her pregnancy. She says that Claire was never pregnant. This was part of the plan to cause irreparable harm to A.J.’s career. Ken Anderson makes his way to the ring with his 40 points. Ken gets his mic from the ceiling and he says that tonight is his final Bound for Glory matchup and he is saving the biggest, baddest, toughest, and meanest for last.

    Ken calls out Bully Ray.

Match Number Five: Ken Anderson (40 Points) versus Bully Ray (48 Points) in a Bound for Glory Series Match

They lock up and go to a stalemate. They lock up again and Anderson with a side head lock but Ray with a shoulder tackle. Ray misses an elbow drop and he holds his elbow. Anderson with a waist lock but Ray with a forearm to the back. Anderson with a kick to Ray but he misses a clothesline. Ray with a punch to the kidney followed by a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.

We go to commercial after Anderson is sent shoulder first into the post.

We are back and Ray with an elbow drop for a near fall. He gets another near fall. Ray with a kick to Anderson. Ray waits for Anderson to get back to his feet and he sends Anderson back to the mat with a clothesline. Ray with another near fall. Ray with crossfaces to Anderson. Ray with a suplex to Anderson and he gets a near fall.

Anderson is sent into the turnbuckles and then Ray punches him in the midsection and head. Ray with a slam and then he goes for the Vader Bomb but Anderson moves out of the way. Anderson and Ray exchange punches from their knees. Ray with a knee but Anderson with a clothesline and back elbow. Anderson with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.

Anderson with a corkscrew leg lariat for a near fall. Anderson waits for the rolling fireman’s carry slam but Anderson cannot get Ray over and Ray with a neck breaker for a near fall. Ray goes to the turnbuckles and Anderson punches him. Anderson hits the rolling fireman’s carry slam this time and he gets a near fall. Anderson goes up top but Ray hits the ropes and Anderson gets crotched.

Ray sets for a superplex and he hits it.

We go to the back and Aces and Eights are ambushed by Gunner, Robbie T, and Kurt Angle.

Meanwhile, back in the ring, Ray gets back to his feet and he misses a boot. He does not miss the Bubba Bomb but he can only get a two count. Ray tries for a second one but Anderson blocks it and hits a DDT. Anderson goes up top for the Kenton Bomb and he gets a near fall. Anderson misses a clothesline but he does not miss the Mic Check and he gets the three count.

    Winner: Ken Anderson (47 Points)

Even with the win, Anderson is not in the top four and he has no more matches to go in the Bound for Glory Series.

We go to the Aces and Eights Clubhouse. They have been planning their game. In thirty minutes and thirty seconds, they will unleash hell and they will do what they do best. They will give out the Deadman’s Hand.

We are back and Sting’s music plays and he comes to the ring with Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Devon, Ken Anderson, Rob Terry, Robbie E, Gunner, Rob Van Dam, and more.

Sting tells Aces and Eights that they said three and a half minutes, and they are waiting for them to come out. Sting says that the victims are ready.

Sting says that they are not going to pull a no show again. The people in the Impact Zone want Hogan. Sting says that maybe they need an Aces and Eights chant.

We see some of the members of Aces and Eights come to ringside. We see more come to the ring and we have pandemonium in and out of the ring but the TNA roster is in control of things. The members of Aces and Eights try to hide their identities and then they start their retreat since they are badly outnumbered.

We go backstage and we see Hogan and Storm fighting off some of the members of Aces and Eights. A.J. Styles joins in the attack. There is a brawl going on outside, but we see a few of the wrestlers alone in the ring. Aries with a suicide dive onto a few members of Aces and Eights. Then the other eight or ten try to go after Van Dam and Hardy.

We see a larger member of Aces and Eights clothesline Aries. They bring a part of the guardrail and put it on the turnbuckles. Aries is held to the guardrail and they hit his arm with a chair.

They stand over Aries and Bully Ray makes his way to the ring and the members of Aces and Eights leave the ring.

They somehow get to their motorcycles in seconds and leave the Soundstage.

    We go to credits.

     Hawkins Responds To Reks'
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 10:50 PM

    - Tyler Reks announced on Facebook and Twitter Wednesday that he has been granted his release from WWE. He cited his desire to be a full-time father, writing, "I realized recently that being a Superstar means sacrificing certain things, including time with my family. As a new father, my heart broke every time I had to leave to go on the road. I didn't ever want to miss another moment with my daughter, so I made the decision to be a full time dad and hang up my boots."

Curt Hawkins addressed his former tag team partner's career decision via Twitter, writing, "Lucky for all of you I'm not a Dad (yet), I'm just a determined kid who loves the wrestling business. I'm here to stay. See you at the show.

RUMOR: Former TNA Star In Serious Negotiations With The WWE

RUMOR: News On Current WWE Star Christian At The TNA Hall Of Fame

RUMOR: News On Current WWE Star Christian At The TNA Hall Of Fame

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE wrestler and former TNA star Christian Cage is scheduled to make an appearance at TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame. The report claims that Christian's deal was two part and that this appearance completes the agreement between TNA and WWE to allow Flair to appear at the WWE hall of fame. There was intiaially a push to bring in Ric Flair to induct Sting into the TNA Hall Of Fame but the idea was quickly nixed shortly after his release from the company.

Flair's non-compete with TNA ends on September 6th as it was a 120-day non-compete. Even if there wasn't an ongoing lawsuit where he was named, Flair still could not have worked the 1000th RAW last month. With that lawsuit still up in the air, WWE is afraid to make any direct moves as far as contacting Flair and bringing him back.
There's a feeling that Flair and Matt Morgan would both be in WWE right now if that lawsuit wasn't still going on.

    Rey Mysterio Diagnosed With Concussion

     Rey Mysterio Diagnosed With Concussion
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 08/22/2012 at 05:15 PM

WWE.com announced Wednesday that Rey Mysterio suffered a concussion during his match Sunday against The Miz at SummerSlam.

The website notes that according to a backstage source, WWE personnel “suspected [a concussion] because he hit his head.” The following day, precautionary impact testing was conducted and “showed that [Mysterio] is below baseline, which means he sustained some sort of concussion."

The website has confirmed that Mysterio is not medically cleared to compete at this time. The San Diego native did not appear on Raw or SmackDown, and has been removed from all events through a least this coming weekend.

During the Intercontinental Championship Match, The Miz executed a "brutal sit-down powerbomb" which snapped Mysterio’s head against the canvas. WWE.com attributes the trauma suffered from the maneuver to The Awesome One's successful title defense.

WWE physician Michael Sampson says Mysterio “had the first [test] on Monday, which showed us that he was below baseline. The physical exam was normal, but neuropsych testing was below normal. That’s the beauty of neuropsych testing. Based on reaction time and memory, we can measure on a computer, and he was below his baseline. That saves [Mysterio] from causing further injury from the concussion."

WWE.com has confirmed that Mysterio will not return to the squared circle until he is at baseline and passes an exertion test. "To be determined at baseline, Mysterio must pass the aforementioned impact/neuropsych test later in the week. Only then will he be permitted to undergo exertion testing," the website notes.

WWE.com's backstage source estimates that Mysterio “will probably be taking [the impact test today] if he’s still symptom-free, or later on this week.”

Tyler Reks Releases Statement on Release from WWE

Tyler Reks Releases Statement on Release from WWE
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 02:52 PM

Tyler Reks posted the following on his Twitter account in regards to his release from WWE.

I just want to say thank you to WWE, Inc. for allowing me to be part of an incredible entertainment experience. On Monday, I asked for my release and the company was gracious enough to grant my request.

I realized recently that being a Superstar means sacrificing certain things, including time with my family. As a new father, my heart broke every time I had to leave to go on the road. I didn't ever want to miss another moment with my daughter, so I made the decision to be a full time dad and hang up my boots.

I will miss everyone in the locker room tremendously as they have all become a second family to me. I want to thank my coaches and teachers that really helped me along the way: Fit Finlay, Arn Anderson, Edge, Christian, Kane, Jericho, Dr. Tom, Norman Smiley, and Billy Kidman.

I also want to thank my boys. You know who you are. Especially though, a huge thank you to Hawkins. You were like a brother to me the last year and I'll miss you and will always love you bro. I wish you the best and thanks for understanding that I had to go be a dad. When she's older, and able to realize what happened, I know Mia will thank you as well.

Thanks to all the dedicated fans of #ReksAndHawkins and to The #RekkingCrew. I would never have survived without you.

For anyone interested, I am currently the owner of an Internet Marketing Company that specializes in Search Engine Optimization, Pay-Per-Click, Website Design, and Reputation Management. You can find my company here:

    WWE Releases A Raw Superstar?

    WWE Releases A Raw Superstar?
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 02:44 PM

It would appear that WWE has parted ways Raw Superstar Tyler Reks as he is now listed on the company's website Alumi section. As WWE infrequently announces talent departures, this is often seen as a sign that a talent has been parted ways with the sports-entertainment organization.

    David Otunga Is "Unsafe"

    David Otunga Is "Unsafe"
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 02:27 PM

    - Former WWE developmental wrestler Marcus Owens issued a negative assessment on David Otunga's working ability after watching him compete on television.

"I swear David Otunga is the most unsafe guy, I've ever seen on TV," he wrote on Facebook. "I'd rather work Sid Vicious back when he was with the IV Horseman...LOL."

This is not the first time where Otunga's wrestling ability has been publicly dismissed by a fellow wrestler. Chris Masters stated during an interview following his release from WWE last year, "He's got two left feet. C'mon, just watch him walk around the ring for five minutes."

    WWE Releasing Crawford

    - As noted before, WWE recently released Christina Crawford from developmental, the sister of Alicia Fox. No reason was given for her release but someone in developmental noted that she always complained about being hurt and didn't have much of a work ethic. This is a bit surprising as she was the current FCW Women's Champion when she was released.

    NXT Diva Not Released

WWE developmental wrestler Skyler Moon has been removed from the Divas roster page of NXT Wrestling website, FCWWrestling.info. This has prompted speculation that the former Buggy Nova has been released since a talent's removal from the page generally indicates a departure. However, she emphatically says that's not the case.

"I was not released!!!" Moon tweeted Tuesday. "My profile is under construction :)."

D'Angelo Dinero Removed from BFG Series

D'Angelo Dinero Removed from BFG Series
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 12:14 PM

"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero is officially out of the 2012 Bound For Glory Series, ImpactWrestling.com announced Wednesday.

Last week at Hardcore Justice, The Aces and 8s viciously attacked Dinero, particularly his shoulder, rendering him unable to competing that night in his scheduled Bound For Glory Series match. Following a visit to the doctor, Dinero said he would be sidelined for a few months. Enclosing an image of a broken collarbone, Dinero tweeted, "Looks like Pope will be out of action for a couple months. Damn You Aces & Apes!!! ~PHS."

Dinero's news has caused Impact Wrestling to officially eliminate him from the remainder of the Bound For Glory Series. In this year’s format, every wrestler was scheduled to face everyone in the tournament. Dinero had three matches left to compete in, against AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam and Robbie E.

ImpactWrestling.com says Sting will make a decision regarding the matter and those matches tomorrow night on Impact Wrestling on Spike TV at 8/7c.
