    WWE Releases A Raw Superstar?

    WWE Releases A Raw Superstar?
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 02:44 PM

It would appear that WWE has parted ways Raw Superstar Tyler Reks as he is now listed on the company's website Alumi section. As WWE infrequently announces talent departures, this is often seen as a sign that a talent has been parted ways with the sports-entertainment organization.

    David Otunga Is "Unsafe"

    David Otunga Is "Unsafe"
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 02:27 PM

    - Former WWE developmental wrestler Marcus Owens issued a negative assessment on David Otunga's working ability after watching him compete on television.

"I swear David Otunga is the most unsafe guy, I've ever seen on TV," he wrote on Facebook. "I'd rather work Sid Vicious back when he was with the IV Horseman...LOL."

This is not the first time where Otunga's wrestling ability has been publicly dismissed by a fellow wrestler. Chris Masters stated during an interview following his release from WWE last year, "He's got two left feet. C'mon, just watch him walk around the ring for five minutes."

    WWE Releasing Crawford

    - As noted before, WWE recently released Christina Crawford from developmental, the sister of Alicia Fox. No reason was given for her release but someone in developmental noted that she always complained about being hurt and didn't have much of a work ethic. This is a bit surprising as she was the current FCW Women's Champion when she was released.

    NXT Diva Not Released

WWE developmental wrestler Skyler Moon has been removed from the Divas roster page of NXT Wrestling website, FCWWrestling.info. This has prompted speculation that the former Buggy Nova has been released since a talent's removal from the page generally indicates a departure. However, she emphatically says that's not the case.

"I was not released!!!" Moon tweeted Tuesday. "My profile is under construction :)."

D'Angelo Dinero Removed from BFG Series

D'Angelo Dinero Removed from BFG Series
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/22/2012 at 12:14 PM

"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero is officially out of the 2012 Bound For Glory Series, ImpactWrestling.com announced Wednesday.

Last week at Hardcore Justice, The Aces and 8s viciously attacked Dinero, particularly his shoulder, rendering him unable to competing that night in his scheduled Bound For Glory Series match. Following a visit to the doctor, Dinero said he would be sidelined for a few months. Enclosing an image of a broken collarbone, Dinero tweeted, "Looks like Pope will be out of action for a couple months. Damn You Aces & Apes!!! ~PHS."

Dinero's news has caused Impact Wrestling to officially eliminate him from the remainder of the Bound For Glory Series. In this year’s format, every wrestler was scheduled to face everyone in the tournament. Dinero had three matches left to compete in, against AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam and Robbie E.

ImpactWrestling.com says Sting will make a decision regarding the matter and those matches tomorrow night on Impact Wrestling on Spike TV at 8/7c.

    - CM Punk is shown walking backstage.

    - WWE Champion CM Punk comes out. Punk stops and comes out in front of Jerry Lawler. Punk remembered how Lawler said he turned his back on WWE a few weeks ago. Punk wants Lawler to go ahead and admit that was a lie. Lawler said he meant no malice at all and felt at that moment that he turned his back. Punk wants an apology from Lawler. John Cena's music hits and out he comes.

Cena hits the ring to a mixed reaction as Punk looks on. Punk asks if Cena could have waited until he called him out. Punk says he has been taking a backseat to Cena, Triple H and The Rock out of respect but respect is a two-way street and it's never been reciprocated how it should be to him. Punk says people always ask him why he's not in the main event. Punk says out of respect he has let Cena go on last. Punk says taking a backseat no longer makes any sense. Punk points out he beat Cena last year for the title.

Punk says Cena is the #1 contender because he has to beat him again, because he is going to beat him again. Punk says all Cena has to do is admit Punk is the best in the world. Punk wants Cena to tell the truth. Cena talks about how he hasn't been WWE Champion in 9 months and how people stick with him through everything and have respect. Cena talks about the city of Fresno and gets them to pop. Cena says he's not going to let everyone down and won't be calling Punk the best in the world. Cena says to succeed, he has to believe in his heart that he's the best. Cena talks about how he didn't think he would lose to The Rock at WrestleMania and if he gets another chance, he will. Cena goes on and congratulates Punk on his title reign but points out he held it for well over 300 days straight. Cena says during that time he never came out and demanded anything from anyone, inside or out of the ring. Cena says Punk has been WWE Champion for over 270 days and all anyone remembers of him is the night he blew a kiss to Vince McMahon and left town. Cena says he isn't here to stroke Punk's ego. Cena offers Punk vindication and tells him to prove it. Cena says he can live with it if Punk doesn't choose him as #1 contender because he's confident he can get another title shot. Cena points out that Night of Champions is in his hometown. Cena says if Punk can walk out WWE Champion, that will defy his existence. Cena says the choice is Punk's.

Cena says if Punk doesn't choose him, he has no respect for the WWE Title or himself. Cena drops the mic and walks off to the back. Punk turns right to Jerry Lawler and demands the apology again. Punk calls Lawler to the ring for a conversation. Punk says Lawler went too far with what he said and owes him an apology. Lawler says this is all a misunderstanding but if Punk wants him to, he apologizes. Lawler turns to leave but Punk stops him. Punk says if Cena doesn't want to say it, then he wants to hear Lawler say he is the best in the world. Lawler says he can't do that and the crowd pops. Lawler goes to leave and Punk kicks him in the back of the head. Punk grabs the WWE Title and kneels down in front of Lawler. Some of the fans boo as Punk just stares at Lawler.
And the Show goes off Air

AJ Lee Reveals Why She Was Picked for GM Role
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/20/2012 at 01:54 PM

AJ Lee revealed in an interview with Esquire two reasons as to why WWE selected her as the new General Manager of Raw. One of the reasons was because WWE wanted the visual of "the tiniest person having the most power" and the other was their constant search for something surprising and unpredictable.

"It came completely out of left field. I had no idea that they were looking for a general manager for a really long time. They felt that it would be really surprising and unpredictable. So, you know, I book matches. I'm the boss of all the guys. It's fun because a lot of them have wronged me."

AJ also mentioned how she stuck to her roots as a tomboy character and did not turn into a typical WWE Diva, which she felt WWE wanted her to be early on.

"I heard a million times to clean up, but not be too much of a tomboy. I heard, 'This is what you have to convert to, this is the formula,' A.J. said. "And you know, it's wrong. There was something in me where I knew that people wanted someone that they could relate to. I was able to show that I was goofy and dorky, and right away, people embraced that. The company noticed and they were like, 'Let's just go with that.'"

Fred Durst Kicked Out Of SummerSlam

    - Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was escorted out of the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California, the venue for WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view event Sunday night, by security personnel after flipping the bird while being shown live on camera prior to the main event match-up between Brock Lesnar and Triple H.

Durst, however, is denying rumors that he was kicked out of the venue. He wrote on Twitter, “I was leaving to beat the traffic! Haha, security escorting me out?? WWE is family. hahaha. Is this really a rumor? Amazing. My boys at WWE are cracking up! Note- never leave early to beat traffic!”

    The message was quickly deleted.
