Update on Christy Hemme's status with TNA

Update on Christy Hemme's status with TNA

    source: F4WOnline.com

It was reported last month that Christy Hemme had sustained a neck injury while training in the ring with AJ Styles for her Women's Championship match at the Genesis pay-per-view. As a result, Hemme was unable to compete at Genesis against Awesome Kong. Her injury reportedly require surgery that would have put her out of action for an undetermined length of time. In an update on the situation, the TNA Knockout is already back in action. Hemme wrestled at an indy show this past Saturday in Brampton, Ontario.

    Paul Burchill def. Tommy Dreamer
    Boogeyman def. Jamie Noble
Finlay def. ECW Champion Jack Swagger (non-title)

ST. LOUIS – Finlay defeated ECW Champion Jack Swagger, handing the champion his first-ever loss in singles competition in WWE. Last week, the Fighting Irishman also got the better of the champion by smashing him in the head with his own title. (Recap) But, Swagger will have an opportunity for revenge when he defends his title against Finlay at No Way Out. (Match preview)

Finlay def. ECW Champion Jack Swagger (Non-title) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Finlay’s tenacity paid off in a non-title encounter with the undefeated young ECW Champion Jack Swagger. As both Superstars waged war, the Belfast Brawler received a helping hand from his son, Hornswoggle, who smashed Swagger in the ankle with a shillelagh. The Fighting Irishman capitalized, hitting Swagger with a clothesline followed up by a Celtic Cross for the victory.

Paul Burchill def. Tommy Dreamer (PHOTOS)
Despite vocal support from the WWE Universe, Tommy Dreamer could not stop Paul Burchill, who dropped Dreamer with a hard-hitting neckbreaker. To add insult to injury, World Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz came out to the ring to verbally assault the ECW Original after his loss. After a series of insults saying the champion should hang it up, things got really ugly when The Miz told Dreamer, “The only people that want to see you less than this audience is your wife and kids.”

Dreamer immediately attacked the self-proclaimed “chick magnet,” knocking him to the canvas and delivering a series of punches. But, Morrison quickly got involved which lead to an ugly two-on-one attack, ending with The Miz dropping Dreamer with a Reality Check and stomping on his chest while he was down.

Boogeyman def. Jamie Noble (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Making his first appearance on ECW after being drafted to Raw, Jamie Noble told ECW General Manager Theodore Long that he was there to “save the show,” now that Matt Hardy has moved to SmackDown. But Noble’s confidence proved no match for the 263-pound ghoulish Superstar from the Bottomless Pit. Despite the loss, Noble was able to salvage the night by escaping the ring quickly without being forced to eat worms. So, The Boogeyman took advantage of the situation and did what was only natural – devour his slimy bag of worms himself.

Cryme Tyme def. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase (disqualification)
Kane & Mike Knox def. Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston
    Beth Phoenix def. Candice Michelle
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena def. Chris Jericho

ST. LOUIS – Monday night's episode of Raw helped the Show Me State live up to her name ... and then some. Not only did Shane McMahon accept Randy Orton's challenge to a No Holds Barred Match at No Way Out, but his sister Stephanie vowed to bring Undertaker to Raw to battle the Legend Killer. Not only that, a disrespectful diatribe by Chris Jericho helped prompt the return of the legend Ric Flair, who will also be at next week's Raw. Wait for it ... wait for it ... Woooooo!

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena def. Chris Jericho; Ric Flair at Raw next week
Not only did Chris Jericho’s disrespectful diatribe against various WWE Legends provoke World Heavyweight Champion John Cena to raise his game in the ring and defeat Jericho in the name of those various legends, in yet another stunning turn of events, Jericho’s words also apparently raised the ire of the one and only Ric Flair, who promises to return to Raw next Monday night. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Stephanie McMahon announces Kane in Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out, Undertaker vs. Randy Orton next Monday on Raw
Visibly shaken from the earlier altercation with “Legacy,” Stephanie McMahon was seen talking with Kane. After he reassured her that his brother, Undertaker, would be at Raw next week, Stephanie announced that Kane was the sixth and final entrant in the World Heavyweight Title Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out. She went on to reveal that Randy Orton must face Undertaker next Monday night on Raw.

JBL proposes a match at No Way Out between him and Shawn Michaels; Michaels accepts
There are more than a few employees out there who would want nothing more than an opportunity to pummel their boss inside of a ring. For that reason alone, Shawn Michaels is a man to be envied. During an employee “performance appraisal,” the Longhorn Loudmouth taunted and berated HBK until, finally, he proposed that the two battle at No Way Out. If Michaels wins, the mouthy millionaire will release Michaels from his one-year contract and pay him in full. If HBK loses, however, JBL permanently secures the rights to Shawn Michaels’ name and all royalties associated therewith. To put an exclamation point on the proceedings, JBL slapped his employee across the face before leaving the ring. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Beth Phoenix def. Candice; Rosa Mendes assists The Glamazon
One thing about Rosa Mendes, the woman is consistent. Once again, The Glamazon’s “intern” interfered in one of Beth Phoenix’s matches. This week, with The Glamazon’s boyfriend Santino with her at ringside, Mendes distracted Candice to ensure Phoenix notched the victory. As a reward for a job well done, perhaps, Phoenix called Mendes into the ring, where the apprentice grabbed Candice and tossed her from the squared-circle. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase attack Shane and Stephanie McMahon
You just knew Randy Orton wouldn’t let it go. As Shane McMahon spoke with his sister Stephanie in a hallway of the Scottrade Center, Orton and his “Legacy” cohorts blindsided him, sending both McMahons to the floor. While building security attempted to break up the melee, Orton geared up to punt Shane in the skull. Instead, however, he turned and narrowed Stephanie in the crosshairs. Just as Orton was about to let fly, Shane jumped in at the last second and absorbed the blow with his back. (WATCH) Check out Randy Orton's new Gas Mask T-shirt at WWEShop...

Kane & Mike Knox def. Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston; Kane pins Rey
In what may prove to be a sneak peek at the World Heavyweight Title Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out, several of that match’s six participants – Mike Knox, Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston – competed tonight in a tag team bout. As Rey teamed up with Kofi, the two aerial sensations fended off the monstrous challenge of Knox and his partner, Kane. Perhaps wanting to prove himself among these Elimination Chamber qualifiers, Kane seized control of the match, pinning Rey and proving that Goliath doesn’t always falter to David. (PHOTOS)

Chris Jericho badmouths WWE Legends, John Cena tells him to pipe down
In the wake of last week’s aggressive overtures toward The Wrestler actor and Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke on CNN’s Larry King Live, Chris Jericho lambasted a host of former WWE Legends, such as Ric Flair, referring to them as “has-beens.” Taking issue with Jericho’s rant, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena interrupted Jericho, reminding the bitter Superstar that without those men, none of the current Superstars would be here today. Cena then informed Jericho that when the two battle tonight, Cena will be beating Jericho for them, the WWE Legends. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Cryme Tyme def. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase by disqualification
After their underhanded attack on Shane McMahon was foiled earlier in the evening, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase were undoubtedly itching to prove their worth to “Legacy” ringleader Randy Orton. Rather than take on Shad & JTG fair and square, the “Priceless” pair instead opted to break the rules to get their point across. The two ended up laying out the Robbin’ Hoods but were disqualified for their efforts. (PHOTOS)

William Regal & Layla def. Intercontinental Champion CM Punk & Mickie James; Regal invokes rematch clause
With weeks of rumblings and billowing animosity behind William Regal and CM Punk, the top finally blew off between this pair two weeks ago. It was then, during their third match in as many weeks, that Punk captured the Intercontinental Championship from Regal in a No Disqualification Match. This week, with the help of Layla, Regal was able to overcome Punk and his partner, Mickie James. Perhaps feeling a shift in momentum, Regal invoked his rematch clause and will face Punk the following Monday night for the Intercontinental Title. (PHOTOS)

Shane McMahon accepts Randy Orton’s challenge for a No Holds Barred Match at No Way Out
After his adrenaline-fueled tirade last week, Shane McMahon opened tonight’s Raw by explaining his actions against Randy Orton. Having watched the Legend Killer punt his father’s skull, threaten to sue WWE and cancel WrestleMania, Shane felt compelled to take the action he did and was later confronted by Orton’s lawyers. Rather than sue, Orton proposed that Shane meet him in a No Holds Barred Match at No Way Out. Shane told the WWE Universe that he quickly agreed and is willing to sacrifice himself so that Orton will be in no condition to compete at WrestleMania.

That’s when Orton piped up. The Legend Killer sauntered toward the ring and told Shane that the only reason he managed to get the best of the three “Legacy” members was because they refused to fight back for fear of provoking the entire Raw roster who waited in the wings. As Orton spoke, DiBiase & Rhodes sprung from the audience to attack Shane, but the younger McMahon grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring and managed to fend off the 3-on-1 assault. With less than two weeks until No Way Out, simmering tensions among these four are set to boil.

Wie is de vrouwelijk investeerder in TNA?

There are a lot of rumors going around in regards to the TNA "Female Secret Investor" storyline. Karen Angle has been one the names thrown around, and if it's her, that would explain why Kurt Angle mentioned her name on Impact this week.

Victoria and Torrie Wilson are also rumored names.

Wife of former WWE manager Paul Bearer dies
Posted by Randy Gordon on 02/02/2009 at 12:59 AM

Dianna Moody, wife of former WWE manager Paul Bearer, passed away in her sleep on Sunday.

The former WWE manager released a statement regarding her passing on the Gulf Coast Wrestling Message Board this evening. Here is his message:

    Dianna

    Thank you all so much.

Many know that Dianne was a two time breast cancer survivor; however her lasting issues from the invasive chemo and radiation, and numerous other health problems took her from us.

I was blessed to have 30-years of marriage with her, and believe me, 30 years with me would make anybody a saint. The Pringle/Moody Family will never be the same as she was indeed the backbone for us all.

We appreciate all the calls, prayers, emails.

    Be Blessed.
    ~Percy and Family

Randy Savage DVD back in the works?

Mark Dobinson sent in the following:

KOCH, the WWE's Canadian DVD distributor is listing a 3 DVD Randy Savage WWE set titled "Macho Madness" for release on 6/9. WWE had previously pulled a set by that title scheduled for last year, but it would appear (for now anyway) that the title is now on again.

WWE confirms that Rourke won't wrestle at WM 25

WWE confirms that Rourke won't wrestle at WM 25

WWE.com has confirmed that actor Mickey Rourke will not be participating in a match at this year's Wrestlemania. The statement on WWE.com reads, "Shortly after Jericho interrupted the star's appearance on Larry King Live, a publicist for Rourke, an Oscar nominee for his role as Randy “The Ram” Robinson, wrote an e-mail to the media that stated he “will not be participating in WrestleMania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career.”

As conjecture continues to swirl, WWE.com has learned that while Rourke will not be participating in the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania in Houston on April 5, WWE has, in fact, invited the actor to the event and looks forward to his attendance – as a guest of the company."

Undertaker def. Mark Henry (WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
Big Show def. Festus (WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
Triple H def. The Great Khali & Vladimir Kozlov  (Triple Threat Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)

INDIANAPOLIS – The struggle for the WWE Championship hits Friday night at full force. As new WWE Champion Edge returned to SmackDown, three Elimination Chamber Qualifying Matches were held to determine who will join the Rated-R Superstar at No Way Out on the Road to WrestleMania XXV. But, despite the exciting quest for the gold, the dominating thought of the WWE Universe seemed to be simply, “Why Matt? Why?”

Matt Hardy washes his hands of Jeff Hardy and the WWE Universe (WATCH | PHOTOS)
A very embittered Matt Hardy appeared before the WWE Universe - chair in hand - to offer no remorse about smashing his brother Jeff in the head at the Royal Rumble and costing him the WWE Championship in the process. Although he stated it could not be proven that he caused any of Jeff’s other misfortunes over the past several months, he made it clear that attacking Jeff was no accident. Matt proceeded to blame Jeff’s irresponsible nature and the WWE Universe’s inability to like him as much as his brother. He then informed the WWE Universe that he no longer considers Jeff Hardy a partner or a sibling.

Triple H def. The Great Khali & Vladimir Kozlov (Triple Threat Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
With the odds once again stacked against The Game in a Triple Threat Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match, the 12-time World Champion reigned supreme over both Vladimir Kozlov & The Great Khali. After pulling the top rope down to send the Moscow Mauler flying from the ring, The King of Kings hit The Great Khali with the Pedigree and snatched his qualifying triumph.

WWE Champion Edge’s celebration is interrupted (PHOTOS); Big Show def. Festus (WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Moments after Edge rubbed the WWE Universe’s nose in the fact that he wasn’t the one who had caused all the recent misfortunes to Jeff Hardy over the past several months and about returning to SmackDown the seven-time WWE Champion, Big Show decided to interrupt. The World’s Largest Athlete delivered a loving bear hug to Edge’s wife as well as more than a passing glance at the Rated-R Superstar’s newly acquired gold.

This preceded Big Show’s impressive victory over Festus, defeating the Corn-fed Colossus with the knockout punch while putting himself in the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out. After the match, Big Show’s wrath expanded to Jesse, who suffered a chokeslam for no other reason than being there.

Undertaker def. Mark Henry (WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
At the height of a grueling match with the World’s Strongest Man, The Phenom triumphed over Mark Henry with the dreaded Hell’s Gate, granting himself clear passage into the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out.

Umaga def. Jimmy Wang Yang (PHOTOS)
Umaga made his highly anticipated return to the squared-circle with a renewed intensity, finishing off his slaughter of Jimmy Wang Yang with the Samoan Spike. The Samoan Bulldozer has officially served notice that he plans to pick up where he left off.

    MVP def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS)
After breaking his 20-week losing streak against Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match two weeks ago, MVP extended his victorious run to two in a row, defeating Chavo Guerrero with the full impact of the Drive-by Kick. Afterward, the reinvigorated Ballin’ Superstar informed Tazz that things are poppin’ once more, and he is setting his sights on getting “his” United States Championship back.

R-Truth def. The Brian Kendrick (PHOTOS)
With Ezekiel Jackson shockingly being ejected from ringside before the opening bell, R-Truth showed The Kendrick “what’s up,” hitting him with the Ax Kick for the big win.

    TNA Offers Rod Blagojevich

TNA sent out the following press release this afternoon touting their latest publicity stunt:

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich offered job as Chairman of TNA Wrestling’s Main Event Mafia

TNA Wrestling is offering the newly created position of Chairman for its Main Event Mafia faction - and the opportunity to openly sell chairs, steel chairs - to ousted Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

TNA officials confirmed today that Blagojevich, who was impeached by the Illinois House of Representatives on January 29, is being offered the “Chairman” job within its Main Event Mafia faction, an elite unit which includes U.S. Olympic Gold Medal winner Kurt Angle, former World Heavyweight Champions Kevin Nash, Booker T., and Scott Steiner, and reigning TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Sting.

Blagojevich was arrested on criminal charges on December 9, 2008, for conspiring to sell the senate seat vacated by then-President Elect Barack Obama to the highest bidder, but Angle truly believes in the U.S. justice system.

“He’s innocent until proven guilty,” Angle said. “As the leader of the Main Event Mafia, I am a huge fan of the Illinois style of politics. As such, Governor Blagojevich is welcome to join me and the entire Main Event Mafia at any and all TNA events in the future, and certainly is welcome to sell his seat with us should he choose not to accept our generous offer.”

Blagojevich is a former amateur boxer, so Angle is convinced Blagojevich, “easily will be able to handle the transition to pro wrestling,” Angle said.

The Illinois House of Representatives voted in favor of impeachment by an astounding margin of 114-1. Only 60 votes were needed to push the impeachment forward. The single dissenting vote came from Democratic State Representative Milton Patterson, who represents the Southwest side of Chicago.

Trish Stratus hints at a WM 25 match

Trish Stratus hints at a WM 25 match

SLAM! Wrestling conducted an interview with former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus at an autograph signing this past Tuesday in downtown Toronto. Stratus was signing copies of Inside Fitness magazine and wrestling memorabilia
    for her loyal fans.

Stratus discussed her one-off appearance on Raw last month. She said she practiced her "Matrix" move "at least 40 times" prior to the show (which she used against opponent Santino Marella) to make sure she could still do it. Stratus also said it would be hard to pass off wrestling at WrestleMania 25. Stratus said she had not been contacted about appearing, but left the impression that something could come together in the future.

"I would definitely like the chance to finish off what I started with Beth in a one-on-one scenario," Stratus said. "No tagging out, no Santino shenanigans, just one dominant female against the other."

Stratus also said she wouldn't mind wrestling another WWE Diva in Natalya.

"Nattie I think is going to be a major player soon, given the right chance to do what she does best," Stratus said. "Everyone knows how much I respect the Hart lineage, using Bret's sharpshooter in my retirement match, wearing the pink and black boots in Toronto ... it's not a coincidence. So I would be honoured to face someone who is a part of that legacy and I have no doubt in my mind that we could blow away an audience."

Stratus also wanted fans to know that she does not have a page on Facebook as there are a number of pages impersonating her on the social networking site. However, she does indeed have a page on MySpace.com.

"It would be great to clear up that I can be found on MySpace only. I am not on Facebook. That way no one is duped into thinking they are communicating with me when they are not," Stratus said to make things clear.

Big Name Finally Going Into The WWE HOF This Year

Big Name Finally Going Into The WWE HOF This Year

    source: F4WOnline.com

It has been confirmed that Ricky Steamboat will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. He will be inducted by Ric Flair.

Steamboat and Ted DiBiase got a lot of votes for last year's internal election regarding the WWE Hall of Fame. Vince McMahon takes the candidates with the most votes under consideration but makes all the picks in the end. The two wrestling legends weren't snubbed last year, but Vince knows he can't put all the best candidates in at once, so they are spread out over years.

Update on WWE main eventer's injury status

In the latest update on the official website of Batista, www.Demon-Wrestling.com, his people are saying he won't be cleared to return to the ring from injury for five or six months. WWE still had hopes for Batista to wrestle at WrestleMania, but that's off the cards now. Here is his website
    's statement:

Dave's recovery is going very well. He's in the gym twice a day but being very cautious.

Looking forward to coming back as soon as he's able.

Doubtful he'll be cleared before 5-6 months but he'll be back stronger and better than ever.

The Boogeyman vs. Ricky Ortiz (No Contest)
    Finlay def. Paul Burchill
    Mark Henry def. Tommy Dreamer

CLEVELAND - The fallout from Royal Rumble carried over into the Land of Extreme - and across the skull of its champion. (WATCH)

On ECW on Sci Fi, the WWE Universe learned the shocking news that former ECW Champion Matt Hardy will move to SmackDown, while current title holder, Jack Swagger, found the weight of the gold a heavier burden to carry than he may have anticipated.

Matt Hardy moves to SmackDown (PHOTOS)
ECW General Manager Theodore Long kicked off ECW by dropping bombshell news that former ECW Champion Matt Hardy will become part of SmackDown. The move comes after Hardy's stunning betrayal of his own brother, former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy, at Royal Rumble. (Royal Rumble Photos | Full story). According to Long, Hardy asked for his release and the GM OK'd the move to Friday nights.

Finlay knocks out Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The new face of the franchise, ECW Champion Jack Swagger, planned to celebrate his successful Royal Rumble title defense against Matt Hardy (Royal Rumble Photos | Full story) on ECW. But, Swagger's celebration was only missing one thing - his own title. Swagger and ECW Assistant GM Tiffany tried to uncover who may have taken the title, but had no luck until Finlay revealed it was a mischievous Hornswoggle who took it. When Hornswoggle tried to give Swagger back his title - at his father, Finlay's urging - he was viciously shoved to the canvas by the champion. An enraged Belfast Brawler retaliated, knocking Swagger out with his own title.

    Finlay def. Paul Burchill (PHOTOS)
Before Finlay crashed Swagger's party, he took on Paul Burchill in singles competition. After an impressive Royal Rumble Match performance - lasting almost 30 minutes and longer than any other ECW Superstar - Finlay was looking to carry that momentum to the Land of  the Extreme. The Fighting Irishman did just that, taking care of business against Burchill with a powerful Celtic Cross.

Mark Henry def. Tommy Dreamer (PHOTOS)
Tommy Dreamer has set a lofty goal for himself - win the ECW Championship by June 6. The ECW Original is not backing down from any challenge as he pursues his goal, including 393-pound World's Strongest Man Mark Henry. Despite Dreamer's ambition, he proved no match for the World's Strongest Slam.

The Boogeyman vs. Ricky Ortiz (No Contest) (WATCH) (PHOTOS)
This one was over before it started. As Ortiz entered the ring, he was attacked and driven out of the ring by his opponent from the Bottomless Pit. Ortiz never re-entered the ring, instead choosing to back away and exit up the ramp. One has to wonder if Ortiz knew his wormy fate and opted for a much cleaner way to end the encounter?
