    PRE-SHOW STREAMING LIVE @WWE.COM.

Josh Matthews and Matt Stryker introduce us to the show, as they pan the line of fans filing into the building. They talked about Over the Limit, and the key matches as well as the pre-show match between Kane and Zack Ryder. Ring introductions occur and we are underway.

    Kane vs. Zack Ryder

Ryder used his speed to avoid Kane, who started off by muscling Zack into the corner. Ryder got Kane to the outside with a flurry of offense, including a tope. Kane inevitably overwhelmed Ryder, and abused him with kicks, punches, a fling to the buckle, a sidewalk slam and a bear hug. Ryder tried to fight out of it, but Kane continued to wear him down. Kane got a nearfall, and grabbed a body vice. Ryder fought out with elbows, a neckbreaker and by snapping his neck off the top rope. Ryder went for the RoughRyder, but Kane countered into another sidewalk slam. Kane scaled the top rope, but was crotched on the buckle. Kane lied in agony on the mat as Zack kicked him in the face and went for another RoughRyder, that Kane countered into a Chokeslam to Hell for the win.

The hosts gave a rundown of the card, which looks promising. WWE chose to feature Cena vs. Laurinitis with a video recap covering the events between the two over the past month.

Backstage, Santino Marella and Cody Rhodes bickered about who is the most credible champion, and which title is more valuable. Eve informed them that there will be a Battle Royal, right now, where the winner gets a shot at the championship of his choosing: Intercontinental or United States. The title match will take place later tonight.

Michael Cole, Booker T and Jerry Lawler came to ringside and replaced Stryker and Matthews at the broadcast booth. Santino and Rhodes came out for a ringside view.

Participants introduced included: Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Khali, McGillicuddy, Miz, Zeke Jackson, Yoshi Tatsu, the Usos, Jinder Mahal, Tyson Kidd, Drew McIntyre, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Alex Riley, David Otunga, William Regal and Christian.

Over The Limit PPV hits the air live, with the battle royal underway:

Some early eliminations included Tatsu and Jay Uso and Zeke Jackson. McIntyre Hawkins, Mahal and Reks were tossed out by Khali. The remaining guys tried teaming up on Khali, who was eventually eliminated by several of them, much to the luck of the others. Titus O'Neil was eliminated with a savate kick, as the other Uso was clotheslined over the top rope. Regal was tossed out by Christian. Riley threw out Young, and gave Miz a spinebuster. He went to the top, but was crotched and eliminated by Miz, leaving it down to the final four: Kidd, Otunga, Miz and Christian. Kidd was eliminated by Otunga as he tried to skin the cat back in. Christian battled both of them, but they began to work him over. Otunga and Miz tried in vain to eliminate Christian, as he continued to fight back, and he eliminated Otunga. Down to Miz and Christian. They both fought on the apron, but Christian got the better of that, and eliminated Miz to win the battle royal. Christian pointed to Santino, indicating his choice for later tonight.

A hilarious ad ran for John Laurinitis' People Power initiative. It was ran almost like a political ad campaign, focusing on Laurinitis' strong points, including his superstar motivation, and fan appreciation made possible by his wealth of experience and his dedication to excellence. Funny.

Vicky Guerrero came out onto the ramp, and talked about the possibility of replacing Laurinitis if he should be fired tonight, and then introduced her tag team for their tag title match. Kofi and Truth came out next, as is tradition.

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth (c) vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler

Kofi started off with Swagger, who went back and forth with arm and headlocks. A nearfall by Kofi after an elbow led to a tag to Truth who maintained control, with some fancy footwork and a legdrop. Swagger tagged out to Ziggler, who was hit with a top rope body block. A suplex by Dolph was followed by a tag to Swagger and he distracted the ref long enough to get a cheap shot leading to the momentary advantage by the challengers. R-Truth made a solid comeback, with some innovative kicks, until Vicky distracted the ref long enough to give her team the advantage again. They made frequent tags and pin attempts in between wearing Truth down. Truth went for a backslide cover out of a neckbreaker attempt by Ziggler, but this was followed by a high dropkick by Dolph. Truth did his damnedest to fight out of their corner, but was stopped by a double team face plant. Ziggler showed off in front of Kofi as he held a headlock. A suplex attempt was countered into a small package effort by Truth, who was again cut off and punished by the heels. The big break for Truth came when he countered a top rope suplex attempt by Swagger into a DDT. Hot tag to Kofi saw a flurry of offense. Things broke down, as Swagger and Truth went to the outside and Kofi hit the Touble in Paradise on Ziggler to win the match and retain their tag team titles.

Backstage, Eve delegated Reks and Hawkins to the duty of confiscating signs in the crowd that were anti-Laurinitis. Otunga said they were completely within their legal right to do this, and thusly approved.

    Layla (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

Layla did her best to hold her own with Beth early on, but a slip up in the corner tweaked her already vulnerable knee. Beth capitilized on this bullseye, and worked it over with various locks. An Oklahoma Roll style pin attempt surprise by Layla warranted only a two count. She continued to try to fight back against Beth and even reversed a gorilla press slam into a DDT, and another pin attempt. Beth continued to come on strong on the weakened champion. Out of nowhere, however, Layla landed a neckbreaker, which proved enough for her to retain her title.

Backstage Stryker talked with Randy Orton about Sheamus' victory over him on Smackdown! this week, and his subsequent RKO after a handshake. Orton said Sheamus should have seen it coming. Jericho interrupted to say that he will win this four way match because he is the best in the world at everything, to which Orton scoffed and threatened an RKO to him as well.

Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Sheamus (c) - Fatal 4 Way

They paired off, and Sheamus and Orton started inside. Sheamus was low roped and tossed into the guardrail by Jericho, and the heels teamed up on Orton. Del Rio and Jericho targeted the injured shoulder of Sheamus on the outside, and threw him into the broadcast table. Orton hit a suplex and knee into a pin attempt on Del Rio, that Jericho broke up. The alliance of the two heels didn't last as Del Rio and Jericho fought and Del Rio hit a backbreaker on him. Sheamus tried to re-enter, but was slide kicked back out by Jericho, and slowed things down with a side headlock on Orton. The heels continued to double team Orton. Sheamus finally re-entered and hit a shoulder block on Jericho, and pounded away on Alberto, and landed the rolling senton. Enziguiri by Alberto yielded only a two count. He went to work on Sheamus' shoulder. Sheamus made a comeback and slammed Alberto, but only got a two count. Sheamus pounded Alberto's chest with forearms, but was dropkicked from behind, knocking him into Rodriguez on the outside. Alberto locked in an armbar extention, that was broken up by Jericho. A lionsault was stopped by lifted knees from Del Rio. Orton re-entered the ring and knocked Jericho and Sheamus to the outside and hit a double DDT on Del Rio and Rodriguez. Jericho knocked Orton to the outside and got the Walls of Jericho on Del Rio. Sheamus broke it up, but got knocked on his ass for his efforts. Walls of Jericho on Sheamus, center ring, was stopped by an RKO. Everyone took turns hitting their top move set on each other, until a Sheamus Brogue Kick on Orton. Sheamus "Don't call me O'Shaunessy" O'Shaunessy hit a variation of the fallaway slam on Jericho for the victory.

An advert aired for WM 28 DVD/Blu-Ray available now.

Cody Rhodes talked backstage with Eve about how, if he had the match against Christian tonight, he would easily defeat him. Christian overheard this, and said he changed his mind, and decided to give Cody the opportunity to back up his claims.

Miz hit the ring, mic in hand, and complained about the poor taste of the WWE Universe for supporting Funkasaurus, while they should be supporting him (Miz). Miz danced in the ring to his theme, but was interrupted by the introduction of Broadus Clay, who came out in his usual fashion.

    Miz vs. Broadus Clay

Smart to put the pee break/concession match on after the previous match. Sorry for my unprofessional coverage of this match, but this match is really immaterial. The former WWE world heavyweight champion was pinned following a big splash. Typical Raw quality match. They all danced with children in the ring afterwards.

Hawkins and Reks were shown in the first few rows taking "inappropriate and offensive" signs from fans.

Cody Rhodes came to the ring and ran down the Carolina audience prior to his title defense against Christian, who came out next.

    Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Christian

Cody took early offense with a cheapshot, followed by kicks, punches and a suplex. Christian retaliated and the fight went to the outside. Back in the ring, a Russian Leg Sweep by Cody got a two count. He grounded Christian with an armbar. He continued with stomps and cornered him with stomps. Christian and Cody battled at the top rope, and Cody suplexed him from there. A stiff right hand and an over the top rope clothseline by Christian. They fought back to the inside, and Cody was caught from the 2nd rope with a punch, a kick to the face and a drop that saw only a 2 count. Tornado DDT attempt by Christian was countered as he was tossed belly first to the mat. Cody hit a moonsault, followed by a pin attempt that Christian kicked out of. Christian hit the Killswitch, and got the pin and the win. Christian looked a bit emotional as he held his Intercontinental title for all to see.

Backstage interview: CM Punk. They reviewed the happenings involving Daniel Bryan this past Friday on SD! He talked about being glad that Laurinitis might be fired tonight, and being proud of both himself and Daniel Bryan wrestling on a WWE PPV...something that would have been unheard of, even a few years ago, let alone for the WWE world title. He spoke of knowing Bryan for years, but is not the same man he knew when they were coming up in the business together. AJ interrupted to say how fun this match would be to watch. Punk walked away from her.

CM Punk (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

They started off with a feeling out process, that saw some kicks, armbars, and an armdrag by Punk. He held sway with a side headlock. Punk began to work the leg of Bryan. Bryan retaliated with kicks in the corner. Punk kicked him hard and continued his legwork on the challenger, including an Indian Death Lock. Bryan got aggitated and landed some stiff forearms and some kicks, and a European elbow. Punk kicked at him again and went back to work on his knee, and dropped him to the outside. A dodged baseball slide to the outside gave Bryan a chance to drive Punk into the ringide barrier. They got back into the ring after the ref's count got to 6. Bryan landed a missile dropkick, and wore down Punk with a seated abdominal stretch, and drove elbows into Punks ribs. Bryan is working Punks ribs, and Punk is targeting Bryan's knee. (Jim Ross should be calling this match for sure) Bryan applied the Surfboard/Bow and Arrow submission attempt. Punk escaped with elbows to Bryan's head and face, and landed punches and elbows. Bryan took a breather, but landed a few leaping knees to the back of Punk. He missed a third, and Punk capitilized and landed a Fisherman's Suplex for a 2 count. They traded chops and punches. Bryan hit a top rope headbutt, and applied a chinlock. He fought out and a crisscross led to a mid air double high cross body block. Punches, forearms and a heel kick by Punk, was followed by a rolling neckbreaker, and a scoop powerslam that yielded only a two count. Bryan was dropped to the outside again and hit with a plancha. Punk rolled him back in, but a top rope clothesline attempt was blocked with a dropkick by Bryan, who kicked at Punk. Punk blocked a kick with a leg whip. Punk appled the figure four. Bryan and Punk punched and slapped each other, until Bryan reached the ropes, forcing the break. Both went for near falls after key moves. Bryan went for the "Yes Lock" but Punk escaped. The crowd chanted "This is awesome" as Bryan drove Punk to the corner with knees and climbed the rope, but was knocked to crotch the rope. Punk hit a clothesline to a prone Bryan, but only got a two count. Multiple pin attempts, a GTS attempt, and a Yes Lock were all blocked and/or countered. Punk blasted him hard with a kick. Punk slammed him at the corner, and ascended the rope for his elbow drop. His sore ribs prevented him from following up. He eventually covered him unsuccessfully. Bryan drove some stiff knees to the ribs. Bryan wasted time yelling "Yes" and then charged Punk, but missed in the corner. Bryan thereafter applied the Yes Lock again, but Punk rolled his shoulders back. He scored the pinfall, eventhough he tapped a second after the 3 count. CM Punk is declared the winner, as Bryan protests in anger.

Backstage, Eve and Otunga walked and talked as they bumped into Teddy Long, who said that after tonight, he might talk to the Board of Directors about either suggeting the two of them be the new GM's or that they just be fired.

    Ryback vs. Camacho

Ryback more or less destroyed him. Ryback showcased his power moveset arsenal. He got the pin after a Musclebuster-esque fallaway slam.

They promo'd the Best of WCW Clash of the Champions DVD set, avaiable 5/22.

The announcers spoke again about the main event, and the angles that led up to it, including Laurinitis' finer moments that helped to plummet his approval rating. They said he went to the Board of Directors earlier to get some last minute provisions for tonight's match. They rejected his request.

    John Laurinitis vs. John Cena

Laurinitis was in wrestling gear that looked like scuba wear. Laurinitis tried to run, but Cena grabbed him and pulled his shirt over his face and gave him a red belly with a big slap and slapped his back. Cena gave him an airplane spin, and let him flop around. Cena grabbed the ring bell and banged it in his ear and face smashed him into the announce table (Wow, after what we saw tonight, this is the main event?) He continued to make a mockery of Laurinitis. He sat him in a chair and put a headset on him, and the GM was half conscious and did Booker's "5 time" bit. Cena slammed him into the ring apron, face first. Cena grabbed the mic, mid STF application, and said if Laurinitis can last 10 seconds, he'd release it. He actually did last ten seconds. Cena re-applied the move, and he once again lasted 10 seconds. This is just a comedy match. Abysmal. Cena got a drink of water, had a gulp, and poured the rest of it on the GM's head and down his pants. Cena grabbed a fire extinguisher, and threatened Laurinitis with it. He blasted him with it, ofcourse. Cena grabbed a garbage can and dumped its contents on Laurinitis' head. Laurinitis tried to run through the crowd. Cena reached for him over the barrier, but Laurinitis grabbed his arm, and pulled it over the barrier. He hit Cena with a chair in the ring. Cena blocked it and returned the favor, and hit a chair/elbowdrop. Laurinitis hit a low blow. Laurinitis escaped through the crowd by the time Cena got to his feet. Big Show, in street clothes grabbed Laurinitis in the crowd and dragged him to the ring and tossed him in. They both stood on either side of him. Laurinitis tried to crawl away, but Show stepped on his hand. Show went to chokeslam him, but instead he threw him into Cena who went for the AA. Big Show punched Cena in the face, knocking him out. Laurinitis crawled over to Cena, and pinned him for the win. Show, with a serious look on his face, held the GM's arm in the air in victory. They replayed what just happened, as King and Booker expressed shock at Show's actions, and Cole raved about Laurinitis maintaining his GM position. Laurinitis looked in rough shape, limping up the ramp as the show went off the air.

Report by Richard Trionfo & PWinsider.com

We begin with footage from the end of last week’s Raw when the stipulation for Sunday’s match between John Cena and John Laurinaitis was determined by the Board of Directors.

John Laurinaitis makes his way to the ring and he is still in shock after the announcement from Monday night because he doesn’t have the usual bounce in his stop.

John says that he disagrees with the decision by the Board of Directors. He says that he feels that he is being put in harm’s way. He asked for the match with John Cena, but the board has restricted the way that he can compete with Cena. It is like leading a lamb to slaughter and that is not fair. He says that he is approaching forty years old and he is not as flexible as he used to be. He can bench press 250 pounds and run a mile in less than 6 minutes. However, that does not qualify him to face John Cena.

Laurinaitis says that he asked the Board of Directors to reconsider and they said no. Laurinaitis decides to take his campaign to the fans and he wants them to say a prayer for John Laurinaitis.

CM Punk’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Punk wonders if Johnny gets it. Punk says that everyone has been praying. Their prayers have been answered because the only way that John wins on Sunday is by pinfall or submission. Anyone interferes, they are terminated so the match is one on one. When John Cena beats him, Laurinaitis gets terminated.

Punk says that he wants to be the first to wish Laurinaitis the best in his future endeavors. They will party next week on Raw and Smackdown. It will be bigger than Mardi Gras. Punk wants to know how miserable Laurinaitis has made people and the way that he has abused his power.

On Monday night, Johnny had a seven foot giant on his knees groveling and begging for his job because he enjoys entertaining the people. Laurinaitis did it with a smile on his face.

John insults the intelligence of the WWE Universe, and he is out of touch. John also insults Teddy Long who made this show good.

Punk wants to know how it feels to be on the other end of the stick for once.

John says that he isn’t there yet because he is still in charge.

Tonight, CM Punk will face Kane.

Punk accepts that and he says that he is not concerned that he is going to face Kane, but he will not go to the Board of Directors to get out of the match. Punk says that he respects Kane, unlike Johnny. Punk says that he will be WWE Champion next week while Johnny will be on the unemployment line.

Laurinaitis asks the people if they like it when someone makes fun of his boss. Johnny says that he has been tough and fair. He has been generous and benevolent but the people don’t get it that he is working hard for them. The more he does for the people, the more they crap on him. Johnny isn’t going to blame John Cena or CM Punk, he is going to blame the WWE Universe.

If this is his last night on Smackdown, he tells everyone that they can go to hell.

    We go to commercial.

Match Number One: Kofi Kingston and R Truth versus Titus O’Neil and Darren Young

Young and Truth start things off and they lock up. Young with a knee instead of a break in the corner. The referee warns Young and that allows Truth to get out of the corner and he punches Young. Truth with a boot to Young and Kofi tags in and hits a springboard cross body for a near fall. Young with an Irish whip but Kofi with a pendulum kick and then he takes care of Titus on the apron.

Young with a punch and then he hits a belly-to-back suplex onto the apron. Young sends Kofi back into the ring. Young with an elbow drop for a near fall. Titus tags in and he punches Kofi in the back and then he slams Kofi as they continue to work on the back. Young with an Irihs whip into the corner followed by a splash.

Titus runs into Kofi’s boots and Titus goes down. Truth and Young tag in and Truth with punches and then he does a pelvic thrust before a punch. Truth with the Truth Detector followed by a kick and DDT for a near fall. Titus breaks up the cover and Kofi and Truth hit a double drop kick. Kofi with a pescado onto Titus and then Truth hits the Little Jimmy for the three count.

Winners: R Truth and Kofi Kingston

We go to the B A Star event in New York from a few weeks ago.

Zack Ryder is in the back filming his latest video feature but we pan to Damien Sandow. Sandow does not seem impressed and we go to commercial.

We are back and Damien Sandow makes his way onto the stage as he is introduced for his match against Yoshi Tatsu.

Damien introduces himself and he says that he is here to help all of you. As the intellectual savior to the masses, it is his duty, nee, his passion to set everyone free from the chains of ignorance. One fortnight ago, he stood on the precipice of ushering in a new era of enlightenment that the ignorant masses so desperately yearned for. However, to his dismay, upon his arrival at ringside, he saw that he was pitted against an unworthy opponent. An opponent he rejected to prevent the people from seeing such an abhorrent contest.

Sadly, he finds himself in that same vexing scenario this evening. This alleged superstar is an unworthy opponent. Damien says that he cannot and will not demean himself to face such and ignoramus. Damien says that he is doing this for the benefit and well being of everyone. Damien says ‘You’re Welcome’ and leaves the ring.

Yoshi Tatsu calls Sandow a chicken and then he makes chicken noises.

Yoshi turns his back and Sandow runs to the ring and attacks Yoshi. He sends Yoshi into the turnbuckles. Sandow with knees and a Japanese neck breaker.

Sandow tries to find his inner peace after what he did to Yoshi.

    We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to take a look back at what happened two weeks ago when the four men who are in the World Title Match at Over the Limit were in a tag match that saw Sheamus give Orton a Brogue Kick and then Jericho pinned Sheamus. Then Orton gave Sheamus an RKO. Last week, Sheamus and Orton used Del Rio as a punching bag. Then on Monday night, Sheamus got Randy Orton disqualified for attacking Chris Jericho during Orton’s match with Jericho.

Sheamus and Randy Orton are in the locker room with Matt Striker. Matt asks them about their match tonight. Sheamus says that he is looking forward to the match on Sunday so he can show what kind of champion he is. Sheamus says that he has a reputation for being a hot head but he can harness it in the ring, unlike someone else.

Orton says that he used to be so overconfident that he came off like an idiot. Orton says that he can win the title without beating the current champion. Orton says that he couldn’t think of anyone else in that match he wants to beat more.

Sheamus says that he is happy that one of his opponents had the guts to say it to his face and he could Brogue Kick him in the face, but he is a nice guy and he won’t do it.

Orton says that he is not a nice guy and he reminds Sheamus where nice guys finish.

Match Number Two: Zack Ryder versus Daniel Bryan

They lock up and Bryan backs Ryder into the corner but Ryder puts Bryan in the corner. Bryan with a forearm and European uppercut. Bryan with a knee drop to the back of the head for a near fall. Ryder with a kick and punches but Bryan with a European uppercut and Ryder is on the mat again.

Ryder sends Bryan into the mat but Bryan with a running knee and then he hits the running drop kick into the corner for a near fall. Bryan with a hammer lock and then he manipulates Ryder’s fingers and wrist. Bryan with a hammer lock but Ryder with an elbow. Ryder with a back elbow to a charging Bryan followed by boots. Ryder with a missile drop kick.

Ryder misses the Broski boot and Bryan kicks the ropes and then he kicks Ryder in the head and then he applies the Yes Lock and Ryder taps out.

    Winner: Daniel Bryan

After the match, Bryan starts the fans chanting yes.

We see Kane’s face as the camera pans back and we go to commercial.

We are back and Daniel Bryan has joined the announcers for the next match.

Match Number Three: CM Punk versus Kane

Punk with a side head lock and arm bar. Kane with a shoulder tackle. Punk with a kick to the leg but Kane backs Punk into the corner. Kane pie faces Punk but Punk with forearms and chops. Punk clotheslines Kane over the top rope to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Punk with forearms to Kane and then he returns to the legs with kicks. Punk with a DDT and he gets a near fall. Punk with knees to the hamstring and then he applies a figure four leg lock. Kane punches Punk to get out of the hold.

Kane kicks Punk through the ropes to the floor. Punk drops Kane on the top rope and Punk tries for the springboard clothesline but Kane with an uppercut. Kane kicks Punk and presses him against the ring post and then Kane with a baseball slide and Punk’s ribs are sent into the post.

Punk hits the springboard clothesline and gets a near fall. Punk gets Kane up for the Go To Sleep but it is only a moment because of Punk’s ribs. Kane with a boot to the head for a near fall. Kane puts Punk on the top turnbuckle and tries for a superplex.

Punk with chops to send Kane to the mat and then Punk with the elbow drop and he hits it but he can only get a two count. Punk tries for the Anaconda Vice but Kane avoids it. Kane with a side slam for a near fall. Kane goes to the apron and then up top for the clothesline and he hits it. Kane signals for the choke slam but Punk with a kick to the head and Kane is forced to the floor.

Punk with a suicide dive onto Kane but it is in front of the announce table. Daniel Bryan gets a chair and the referee warns Bryan. Bryan hits Kane with the chair and the referee calls for the bell.

    Winner: Kane by disqualification

After the match, Bryan runs up the ramp and Kane recovers to see Punk with the chair. Kane with an uppercut to Punk because he thought Punk hit him with the chair. Kane hits Punk in the midsection with the chair and Daniel Bryan is enjoying what Kane is doing.

Kane sends Punk over the announce table and then into the ringside barrier. Kane sends Punk into the ring while Bryan watches from the safety of the ramp. Kane with a choke slam to Punk. Kane hits a second choke slam and Daniel Bryan is now applauding what Kane did.

    We go to commercial.

WWE Speculates That Chris Jericho May Leave Again

WWE Speculates That Chris Jericho May Leave Again
Posted by Steve Carrier on 05/17/2012 at 09:15 AM

    - WWE's website has a new storyline article up looking at how Chris Jericho has failed to win gold since returning in January and how this effects World Heavyweight Title match at Over the Limit as he goes against champion Sheamus, Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio.

They are strongly teasing that Over the Limit may be it for Jericho this time around. Here's some of what they wrote:

"Further, if Jericho fails to come away with the gold, will Over the Limit be the last time the WWE Universe ever sees the “Ayatollah of Rock n’ Rollla” in the ring? Or can Jericho save his career with a huge win against three formidable opponents?

If this is to be his final stand, the smart money would be to bet on Jericho walking out of PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C., with the title in hand. Jericho is a survivor, and like a cornered lion, he’ll be at his most dangerous with his back to the wall. Jericho will do anything — anything — to emerge from Over the Limit with the World Heavyweight Championship secured around his waist.

But even if he does overcome the other three competitors in the Fatal 4-Way, there’s already plenty of speculation that the WWE Universe won’t see much of Jericho in the coming months. His heavy metal band Fozzy is set to release a new studio album this summer, and tour dates have been planned.

That said, will his match at WWE Over the Limit be his lingering legacy? And if Y2J does decide to walk off into the sunset, will he do so with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist?"

WWE Reportedly Signs Ric Flair's Daughter
Posted by Steve Carrier on 05/17/2012 at 02:23 AM

The Wrestling Observer reports WWE has signed Ashley Fliehr Johnson to a developmental contract. She is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

Reports surfaced earlier this month that Ashley intended to follow in the footsteps of her legendary father as she was training to become a professional wrestler. She is expected to join WWE's Tampa, Florida based developmental training facility in the summer.

Ashley is the third Flair child to enter the professional wrestling industry. David notably competed for World Championship Wrestling from 1999 to 2001 while Reid currently wrestles on the independent circuit.

Ashley was a star volleyball player in high school, leading her team to two state titles in North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts and is an ACE® Certified Personal Trainer. She also attended Appalachian State University where she was a Division-1 Full Scholarship Athlete in volleyball.

Cody Rhodes Talks About His Protective Facemask

Cody Rhodes Talks About His Protective Facemask
Posted by Steve Carrier on 05/16/2012 at 12:34 PM

Cody Rhodes was recently interviewed by Brian Soscha on MixPhiladelphia. Rhodes discusses his protective facemask and how it may have saved his life while taking a move from Randy Orton.

“Honestly, I learned the commitment from masked Cody Rhodes. The level of commitment I had to that was probably where I learned more about myself than anywhere else in my career. I felt more like myself under that mask. I was telling someone else this the other day. When the mask was removed, I felt like Master Chief. I felt like something was wrong with my face. This was real. My face was all un-tanned because I’d been wearing the mask so long. It was such an edge to me to have that mask and it saved my life, actually, to have that mask.

“The very last night I had it, Randy Orton kicked me so hard in what was supposed to be an unbreakable, Dr. Murray designed – the same doctor that made Kobe (Bryant) and Rip Hamilton’s mask – it was supposed to be unbreakable but it had a huge beak on it because it was for a broken nose. He cracked it straight down the middle. Had I not been wearing that mask, I might be dead. I mean it – he kicked me so hard and that was the last night I had it.”

BROOKE HOGAN TO JOIN TNA’S “IMPACT WRESTLING” ON SPIKE TV STARTING THURSDAY, MAY 31
New York, NY, May 17, 2012 – Television personality and recording artist Brooke Hogan is joining the cast of the highly-rated weekly wrestling program, TNA’s “IMPACT WRESLTING” starting Thursday, May 31 on Spike TV. Brooke’s role will be as the Executive in Charge of the female wrestling division, The Knockouts. Brooke will join a star-studded cast of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including her father, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. TNA’s flagship series, “IMPACT WRESLTING,” telecasts on Spike TV and is one of the network’s top-rated series on Thursday nights with young men and currently ranks among the top shows on cable in its timeslot with Men 18-34.

In addition to overseeing the traditional duties of the Knockouts Division, Brooke will bring a new energy and direction to the role working with the girls in a variety of capacities.

"I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year and a half," said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. "When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said ‘yes.’ A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of Impact Wrestling to another level."
Brooke is heading to New York next week for a media tour to promote her addition to the IMPACT WRESTLING team. Brooke will also promote “IMPACT WRESTLING’s” move to 8 PM and that the series will telecast LIVE for the summer starting Thursday, May 31. TNA's 10th anniversary SLAMMINVERSARY pay-per-view-event is set for June 10th in Dallas, Texas.

The TNA roster features many of the top names in wrestling including the aforementioned Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode, Sting, James Storm, Rob Van Dam, and the lovely and lethal Knockouts.
Brooke Hogan, a native of Tampa, Fl, is a successful television personality, singer and songwriter. Brooke starred in two acclaimed non-scripted shows on Spike’s sister network, VH1, including “Hogan Knows Best” and the spinoff, “Brooke Knows Best.” Both were #1 rated shows for the network. Brooke has also released two albums, “Undiscovered” in 2006 which peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “The Redemption” in 2009. Her song, "Everything To Me," peaked at #1 twice on Billboard’s Top Single Chart. Hogan’s film credits include “Little Hercules in 3D,” “Sand Sharks,” and “Devour.”

TNA Wrestler Tony Nese Requests Release From The Company

TNA Wrestler Tony Nese wrote the following on his twitter account announcing he has requested his release from TNA:

"I wanted to be the first to inform everyone that I have requested my release from TNA Wrestling. As a professional wrestler I have many goals and dreams that I work hard to achieve, one of them was to have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience on national television and I thank TNA Wrestling for providing me with that opportunity. Another goal of mine is to wrestle against some of the top international superstars with the chances to travel the world and work for some of the best international companies that have the best talent in wrestling today.

I have recently been approached with an opportunity to step in the ring with The Great Muta, a wrestling legend, and one of All Japan Pro Wrestling's top wrestlers Kai. This is an opportunity that I feel with help me further my goals and career. This event will be provided via IPPV and unfortunately my TNA contract did not allow me to perform on such events. I requested that an exception would be granted given my lack of appearances but was denied. My next action was to request a release as I think it will be in my best interest.

I would like to thank TNA Wrestling for helping me achieve one of my goals as it is very few in this business that are able to say they have. I would also like to thank all the people that support me as this is just a small chapter coming to an end in my career and I have many more exciting opportunities in my future to come. - Anthony Nese"
