Brodus Clay, who has not competed inside a WWE ring since the February 7, 2012 SmackDown taping, returns to action at tonight's Raw live event at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.

Clay's dancer Cameron Lynn tweeted, "Who is gonna b at the staple center tonight to see some WWE action ? Best part is u get to see yours truly...me and the funkasaurus."

Online reports suggest Clay was removed from television due to Vince McMahon's unhappiness with his ring work. Regarding said reports, WWE.com writer Kevin Eck tweeted, "I have not seen the real reason reported anywhere."

SuperSmackDown LIVE's Champion vs. Champion showdown ends in controversy

ROCKFORD, IL  – In a roller coaster Champion vs. Champion Match between WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, the involvement of two WWE General Managers turned SuperSmackDown's main event upside down.

The Match between WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan ended in a Double Pin (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When Sheamus’ involvement in the main event between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan caused the World Heavyweight Champion to lose, Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis came to the ring and restarted the match!

Moments later, when Bryan used the ropes to win, SmackDown GM Theodore Long started it again!

Then, with both determined General Managers at ringside, the explosive match ended with both Superstars pinning each other at the same time.

As a result, SuperSmackDown went off the air in absolute controversy, with Laurinaitis holding Bryan’s hand in the air and Teddy holding Punk's.

David Otunga def. Ezekiel Jackson (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After losing to David Otunga on Raw SuperShow, Ezekiel Jackson demanded a rematch on SuperSmackDown LIVE. But after The Personification of Domination failed to end things with the Torture Rack, Otunga turned the tides, throwing his opponent to the canvas for his second triumph in 24 hours.
Mark Henry def. Big Show by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes interrupted Big Show's clash with Mark Henry to show a video of The World's Largest Athlete losing to Sumo Wrestler Akebono at WrestleMania 21. Though the giant hit the WMD on The World's Strongest Man, he was so embarrassed by Rhodes' display that he chased him away from the ring, allowing the out-cold Henry to pick up the win by count-out.

The Great Khali def. Drew McIntyre (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The Great Khali made quick, but brutal, work out of The Chosen One, hitting McIntyre with the devastating Punjabi Plunge for the three-count.

United States Champion Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a whirlwind match, the echoing screams from Vickie Guerrero outside the ring provided enough commotion for Dolph Ziggler to hit the Zig Zag on Kofi Kingston for the huge tag team victory.
SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long introduced Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis to his "special" office (WATCH)

Sheamus def. The Miz (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The Miz emerged at the start of SuperSmackDown LIVE, congratulating his one-time NXT Rookie World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, for main-eventing the upcoming WrestleMania. But, Sheamus soon interrupted to put a stop to their buddy fest. After Bryan slapped The Great White and exited the ring, Miz took the opportunity to attack The Celtic Warrior from behind. For his trouble, Sheamus expelled him from the ring.

As a result of their altercation, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long made a match between Sheamus and Miz. After a tremendous showdown, the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship hurled his prey to the canvas for the three-count.

*RUMOR* Former TNA Tag Team Champion Leaving TNA Soon?

*RUMOR* Former TNA Tag Team Champion Leaving TNA Soon?

Chris Kelly of headlocks2headlines.com interviewed TNA Wrestler Hernandez earlier today. Right after the interview the main headlocks2headlines twitter posted this message:

    Quote

    @H2HOnline
After speaking to a source within TNA, I can confirm that a former TNA Tag Team champion’s contract is up this Wednesday at midnight with the wrestler becoming a free agent. Dixie Carter is said to be pushing for the talent to re-sign with the company but due to TNA not offering them the same wage as their old contract, they are very likely to be leaving the company next week. I will be able to reveal the talent next week after their contract expires.

Chris Kelly then posted this on his personal twitter

    Quote

    @H2HCrelly
Follow Super Mex on Twitter guys @SuperMexSon & check out our interview next week!

Put two and two together. Looks like Hernandez could be leaving TNA as early as next week.

Q4: Impact scored its highest rating of the hour with a 1.24 rating for videos/backstage segments and the first-half of the Knockouts match between Gail and ODB. Gail Kim Interview, Talks Leaving WWE, Getting Into Wrestling, More

Gail Kim Interview, Talks Leaving WWE, Getting Into Wrestling, More

    Posted Image

TNA Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Champion Gail Kim was recently interviewed by Schemamag.ca, where she talked leaving WWE, getting into wrestling and much more.

On when she realized she wanted to be a wrestler:
I knew when I was 23. I knew when I was so hooked on watching wrestling and I saw the likes of Trish Stratus, Victoria, Molly, Jazz etc. What they now call the golden era of women's wrestling. I watched them and thought, "Hey! I can do that! I also thought, there are no Asian women. I can be that person."

On which culture she relates to the most:
I definitely always describe myself as Korean-Canadian. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada so that's mostly what I knew growing up socially. But my parents spoke to me in Korean mostly and raised my sister, and I in a traditional Korean household. I can honestly say I relate to both cultures. I definitely feel like I want to explore and learn my Korean heritage a lot more.

    On leaving WWE:
I've talked about this many times up to this point, which I don't mind but I think the fans and myself have moved on from this topic. To clarify, that was not the reason why, there were many reasons why including some disrespectful situations and the way women were treated; so I decided to move on. I did, and I'm happier than ever and I will never know reasons why so I choose not to worry about that anymore. I can only look forward and try to do positive things from now on. Impact Wrestling has been home for me and it's just been a confidence building, pro female wrestling environment. I feel like I don't have to limit myself anymore.

WWE Officials Against Divas Match At WrestleMania

WWE Officials Against Divas Match At WrestleMania
Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/22/2012 at 10:54 PM

A match involving the WWE Divas is expected to take place at WrestleMania XXVIII although some company officials are against utilizing the women for the sake of it since the affair would take away time from the bouts people are most interested in seeing.

It's also been suggested as the pre-show dark match.

WWE Officials Reportedly Negative On Rey Mysterio

WWE Officials Reportedly Negative On Rey Mysterio
Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/22/2012 at 07:39 PM

Following Rey Mysterio's visit backstage at last week's Raw SuperShow in San Diego, California, any mention of his name to WWE brass reportedly resulted in a very negative speech. There has been underlying friction on management's part due to tough contract negotiations and not returning from injuries as early as they'd like. Also, some feel because of his small stature, he's lucky to be employed to WWE.

Brodus Clay Labeled Unsafe and Reckless

Brodus Clay Labeled Unsafe and Reckless
Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/22/2012 at 07:27 PM

It was reported last week that Brodus Clay was removed from television due to Vince McMahon's unhappiness with the voluminous grappler's ring work. To add further detail, the WWE head believes he's unsafe and reckless in the ring; he doesn't want him competing until his ring work is brought up to par.

Eyebrows were raised backstage about McMahon pushing forth talent safety since Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes competed on this week's Raw SuperShow hurt.

Clay dismissed last week's negative report via Twitter, writing, "Don't believe the hater hype plant funk still in orbit ya dig!"

Eric Bischoff Interview: Talks Russo's Departure, Garett Bischoff, More

Eric Bischoff Interview: Talks Russo's Departure, Garett Bischoff, More

Recap of Eric Bischoff on "The One Wrestling Show" from Glasgow

Eric Bischoff is 32 mins into the show. Eric said he enjoyed his time in Glasgow. Eric said that for TNA to get to the next level, they must go on the road, in arenas, in front of wrestling fans in a real environment as opposed to producing a show in a soundstage. He said there are logistics and financial issues. He said the audience is 75% of the energy on the show.

He said TNA has been able to produce a high quality show that is pretty low budget for the past 8-9 years and it's one of the reasons TNA has been able to survive.

Vince Russo's departure. Eric doesn't want to comment on it, that he wasn't part of the discussion or decision maker in the process. He said it's not fair to the company and since he doesn't know the details, he cannot comment on it.

Bischoff says he has a great relationship with Ric Flair. There were times in the past 20 years that were great, bad, and in the middle. Flair is very emotional and passionate much like Eric is. They're close friends.

What are the differences between working with Dixie Carter and Vince McMahon? In WWE, he was a talent playing a role and not involved in any strategic discussions or creative. In TNA, he started as a consultant and now has evolved and is much more involved. As a result, he can't compare the two.

Bischoff said he can go toe-to-toe with Vince McMahon on a creative basis. When asked if he can take McMahon after Bischoff challenged McMahon to a fight in 1998, Eric says who knows?

Triple H said if he was in control of WCW, he would have let the gates open during the DX 1998 invasion of WCW. Bischoff said if he knew in advance, it's quite possible. He's never shied away from competition anytime in his life.

When Bischoff left WWE, his character was dumped into trash. Did he have creative input? Bischoff said that was one of the few angles that he had input in. It was Bischoff who suggested McMahon throw him into the garbage truck instead of the original script which had John Cena throw Bischoff in. He enjoyed his time in WWE. He said McMahon put his daughter and himself through scenes that were far more degrading than what Bischoff had to do. So there was nothing personal. He brought up Jim Ross kissing McMahon's ass being far more degrading than anything Bischoff had to do.

Has there anything Bischoff said no to in terms of being too far? Right after he started working for WWE, Bischoff got a call from creative on a Friday afternoon letting him know that they wanted Bischoff to kiss McMahon's ass. Bischoff called McMahon that he didn't think it was smart. He felt uncomfortable doing it especially at that stage with him in WWE. Where would his character have gone at that point? Not because it was degrading, but it wasn't right for him at that time.

A caller asked about getting into the production side of wrestling. Bischoff said wrestling is a unique business. If you're a comedy / drama producer, it's relatively easy to find work. But there's not a lot of places that you can gain wrestling experience if you're not with TNA/WWE. He said if there was one area, it would be writer/producer.

Why did WCW have a diverse roster? Bischoff said it wasn't to keep talent away from the competition. He now says TNA has 50-60 wrestlers under some agreement. TNA has a 2 hour show. WCW had a three hour Nitro, and other shows. There was 9 to 11 hours of original programming per week and that required a lot of talent. You can't use the same talent over and over again without diluting the talent.

It was very close for Bischoff to buy WCW, which was 60 million dollars (the price tag at the time). The deal was done essentially. He was so confident that it was done that he took his wife and kids to Hawaii because if the deal was done, he wouldn't have a week off for a good year. While on Hawaii, he got a call from Fusient saying that the deal collapsed because AOL-Time Warner came in and Jamie Kellner put a bullet in many deals which included WCW television programming.

Eric says he's looking for believability and the ability to tell a story in reply to the question what does Eric look for. He said everything has a beginning, middle and an end. He said young wrestlers today don't have anywhere to learn the art. They learn the moves and do gymnastics-type moves but do not know how to tell a story, nor be a character. Without story or a character, all you have is a spectacle which doesn't capture the imagination of the audience except for a short period of time. Bischoff said you have to be able to tell a story without dialogue.

On why he is the way he is, Eric said he was motivated by money, and later found that he enjoyed finding creative solutions. He elaborated more.

What does Eric prefer doing? Bischoff says the hosts ask really good questions and that he isn't used to it. He said at this stage in his life, he enjoys behind the scenes stuff more than performing. He has covered so much ground as a character that it's difficult for him to find new grounds. He was grateful to work for WWE, but after five years, he was happy to leave. He felt like he was doing the same thing over again and that wasn't fulfilling as performer. He kind of feels the same way with TNA right now in regards to performing. He enjoyed it when he first came in.

There was some talk on Goldust. Then, talk moved into Garett Bischoff. Eric said he actually discouraged Garett from going into the business. There are only two places to work right now - WWE and TNA, and TNA is a smaller company. At the same time, he discourages his other two children to get into acting as a result. The entertainment business is very competitive, requires travel on the road, and has a lot of stress, being away from friends/family/own home. People that go through this is susceptible to a lot of things. Garett grew up in the business.

TNA is coming back to the UK next January in 2013. Will Eric be joining them next year or would he like to? Eric's not sure he'll be with TNA by then because his contract expires by that date. He would like to go to Glasgow and walk around, meet people, and absorb the history and the culture. He's been to a million places and travelled a lot over the past 25 years.

He talks about Twitter/Facebook, doesn't like to talk about the past or inside politics, but he enjoys listening to the fans, listening to constructive criticism, tends to delete people that repeats what is said on the Internet.

The host mentions that Bischoff is very into American politics. Bischoff says he's also fascinated in Glasgow politics too. He's a political animal in nature. He said anyone that's interested in humans should be interested in politics. The host plugs his 2006 book Controversy Creates Cash at Eric's website - http://www.ericbischoff.com. Eric said it was one of his favorite interviews over the past few years and would welcome to come back.

TNA Wrestler Bully Ray Talks Hardcore Wrestling, Concussions, Chris Benoit And More

TNA Wrestler Bully Ray Talks Hardcore Wrestling, Concussions, Chris Benoit And More

TNA Wrestler Bully Ray spoke out regarding hardcore wrestling, Concussions, Chris Benoit and much more in the second half of his UK Sun interview. Below is a quick recap.

Comparing hardcore wrestling to a dangerous circus act:
"You're on the trapeze, it's the circus, it's a show. You could use a net, right? "But it's a hell of a lot more intriguing if there is no net there and there is the possibility that they could fall off that trapeze and splat on the floor. I will take bigger risks when the risk is warranted. If the story merits the bigger risk, I will do it. I will try not to do anything just for the sake of doing it. I don't do things to get a 'pop' — I guess that's the jargon that the 'smarter' wrestling fan will use — I do things that make sense in the story that I'm trying to tell. Chairshots to the head, barbed wire, thumbtacks, fire — been there, done that. I learned how to do it from the best — Terry Funk, Cactus Jack, Atsushi Onita in Japan — you are learning how to do this stuff the right way."

    On concussions:
"Concussions are definitely a big deal. More research has been done on concussions."

On the double murder and subsequent suicide of wrestler Chris Benoit:
"Personally, do I think Chris Benoit did what he did because he had a concussion? Absolutely not. That's my opinion."
