Regarding the online rumor of Rob Van Dam returning to WWE, Power Slam confirms in their latest issue that RVD is seriously considering returning to the organization once his contract with TNA Wrestling expires. The magazine adds that the feeling is mutual as people in WWE want the master of the Five-Star Frog Splash back.
"RVD from what we're told would receive a warm welcome in WWE," the magazine says.
Providing that no contract extension has been reached since his arrival to TNA Wrestling in March 2010, it would appear that Van Dam will be a free agent in the near future. It was reported in 2010 that RVD had signed a two-year contract with TNA.
During his hiatus from full-time wrestling, Van Dam said he would consider returning to WWE if and when he felt ready.
"One thing that's for sure is that WWE and I do have a good-faith understanding that if and when I'm ready to return that Ill be talking to them. They look forward and hope that we'll be doing business again," he told the Baltimore Sun during an interview.
Van Dam, who turned 41 years old last month, performed for WWE from 2001 to 2007. Should RVD return to WWE, he would join a select group of former WWE world championsBooker T, Kevin Nash and Mick Foleywho joined TNA and ultimately returned to the Stamford based organization.

WWE Raw SuperShow results: Kane's hateful torment continues By: Kara A. Medalis January 2, 2012 Tags: WWE Raw SuperShow: January 2, 2012, John Cena, Kane
MEMPHIS, Tenn. The first Raw SuperShow of 2012 offered plenty of surprises for the WWE Universe and the WWE Superstars, as Kane continued to torment John Cena with his message of hate, and Chris Jericho lit up Memphis with an unexpected return.
John Cena, Big Show & United States Champion Zack Ryder def. Mark Henry & Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) Ditched by their tag team partner, Kane, Mark Henry & Jack Swagger were forced to fight John Cena, Big Show & United States Champion Zack Ryder in the Six-Man Elimination Match. Big Show and Mark Henry were first eliminated by a double count-out in the Handicap Match. With the numbers working against him, Swagger put the ankle lock on Ryder, but Cena tagged in and hit The All-American American with the Attitude Adjustment for the victory.
After the match, Kane surprisingly emerged up through the ring to attack Ryder, then tried to suffocate Cena. The Big Red Monster nearly pulled the United States Champion down through the hole in the ring, but failed when Cena pulled his friend out of the abyss. Before Cena could get his hands on Kane, a monstrous burst of fire erupted from the hole in the ring, allowing The Big Red Machine to escape.
Chris Jericho returned (WATCH | PHOTOS) After weeks of cryptic 1-2-12 videos on Raw SuperShow, Chris Jericho made a shocking return and was warmly welcomed by the WWE Universe, greeting some with high-fives at ringside. As he urged them for more cheers, "#Y2J" instantly became the No. 1 worldwide trend on Twitter. But as the Superstar who was dressed in a dazzling, light-up, blinged out jacket prolonged his homecoming, the WWE Universes chants of welcome back soon turned to boos. A smiling Jericho exited without addressing the Memphis crowd, leaving the irritated WWE Universe wondering why hes back. (MORE: Jericho's return | PHOTOS: Jericho's most outrageous looks)
The Bella Twins def. Kelly Kelly & Eve (WATCH | PHOTOS) Former Divas Champions Kelly Kelly & Eve joined forces to take on Brie & Nikki Bella on Raw SuperShow. The twins were victorious when they used a little bit of Twin Magic, swapping places and pinning Eve for the victory.
Dolph Ziggler def. WWE Champion CM Punk by Count-Out (WATCH | PHOTOS) CM Punk lost his bout against No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler, but retained the WWE Championship when the match ended in a count-out thanks to a distraction by Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis. The EVP of Talent Relations ran down to the ring to advise the WWE official about the exposed turnbuckle. Meanwhile, The Straight Edge Savior nearly hit his opponent with the GTS, then locked him in the Anaconda Vise, but the official never saw Ziggler tap because he was talking to Laurinaitis. Punk ended up outside the ring, thanks to Laurinaitis, who pulled down the ropes, allowing him to slide out. Punk couldnt get back onto the mat before the 10-count, giving his opponent the victory. While the cocky Ziggler didnt win the title, he left proudly holding Punks WWE Championship knowing hes defeated him for two straight weeks. (Preview: Punk vs. Ziggler at Royal Rumble)
Sheamus vs. The Miz ended in a No Contest; R-Truth went on the attack (WATCH | PHOTOS) Unable to keep his temper under control, Sheamus unloaded on The Miz, and their match which never began ended in a No Contest. As a paranoid Miz tried to escape through the crowd, his former tag team partner, R-Truth, appeared with Little Jimmy. The Awesome One ran back toward the ring, where he was met by Sheamus big boot. Left down, The Miz was vulnerable to another assault by the retribution-seeking R-Truth, who hit his friend-turned-traitor with a water bottle just as he did the previous week.
Wade Barrett def. Santino Marella (WATCH | PHOTOS) After throwing Randy Orton down a flight of stairs in a vicious Falls Count Anywhere Match on SmackDown, Wade Barrett continued his path of destruction, this time targeting Santino Marella. The Italian Superstar bravely told his opponent that the Santino Marella Choo-Choo Trains will run over the Wade Barrett Garage in the Royal Rumble Match. But on Raw SuperShow, Barrett viciously defeated his courageous opponent with a side slam despite Marellas valiant effort.
World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan def. The leader of the Cenation said hell continue to enjoy whatever response he gets from the WWE Universe, and thanked them, despite Kanes recent actions. Ready for a fight, he called out The Big Red Monster. Rather than getting in the ring with Cena, Kane promised him hell embrace the hate and personally witness its true power tonight!
Chris Jericho Responds To Raw Speculation Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/02/2012 at 12:26 PM
Chris Jericho is poking fun at a photograph taken of him at Nashville International Airport yesterday, which is near the site of tonight's Raw SuperShow.
"Apparently, I've been cloned...or somebody has started a great rumour," Jericho wrote on Twitter.
He then posted several photoshopped images of him at various places including Egypt, Paris, Gettysburg and Kim Jong-il's funeral.
A photo of Chris Jericho arriving at the Nashville International Airport in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday has leaked online. This airport is just a few hundred miles from Memphis, Tennessee - the sight of tonight's WWE RAW Supershow.
Speculation has been that Jericho is the man behind WWE's January 2nd, 2012 cryptic videos that have been airing.
According to The Wrestling Observer, TNA talents who have been working with Mexicos AAA promotion have all received high marks for their attitudes. AAA is especially high on Magnus because he always comes in with a good attitude and the women in Mexico like him. AAA officials were also high on Rob Terry because he has a look that nobody else in Mexico has. AAA is looking to bring Jeff Jarrett back in March for the Rey de Reyes event to defend the AAA Title against Mesias. They wanted to bring Karen Jarrett back with Jeff but were told she cant because of foot surgery. AAA wanted Karen back with Jeff because they are strong together and Karen gets good heat in Mexico.
- While WWE's website is still saying Randy Orton will be sidelined for just a few weeks, Wade Barrett continued to cut promos at this week's SmackDown live events saying Randy Orton would be out for 6 months.

Magnus Interview: Career In TNA, Samoa Joe and Ring Ka King
iMPACT! Wrestling star Magnus recently did an interview for the Daily Star discussing his career in TNA, his odd pairing with Samoa Joe and working for TNA's recent project, Ring Ka King. Here are the highlights:
On his career so far in TNA
Quote
I am frustrated. Im conscious of the dreaded potential word. Its a horrible thing to be labelled with. You have no idea how many times Ive been told: One day, you will be world champion, or: Youre the future, you have so much potential!
Circumstances were difficult with the Nigel(Wolfe) thing. I know that Vince(Russo) was really disappointed that it couldnt happen because we had such great chemistry. There were big plans. Sh*t happens.
The political side of wrestling
Quote
If someones a big fan of yours of course youre going to think theyre making the right decisions. I cant sit here and go: I hate Eric B. I like him. Its business. He has his opinion and its down to me to make it change.
I dont think there are many people in the world who are as young as me and have the same experience as me.I might be frustrated, but Im developing a foundation and Ive always been a big believer in that. My career idols are Stone Cold, HHH and Jericho.I was always going to be someone who honed their craft. I believe I can find that act that will draw money.
Working with Samoa Joe
Quote
I was really pleased to be put with Joe. Who wouldnt be? He is one of the top 10 wrestlers in the world today. I love Joes work. He is solid, athletic and intense. Ive always wanted to do a serious programme with him, and I think the contrast would really work.
