    TNA Impact Wrestling Results 12/22/11
TNA Impact Wrestling Results for Thursday December 22, 2011

-Bully Ray and Bobby Roode come to the ring for another promo. Ray and Roode are now buddies and want Roode to be suspended for his actions. Jeff Hardy comes out and says Roode won't be suspended because he will lose the title at Genesis. Tonight, we will be getting a tag match where Roode and Ray face Hardy and a partner of his choosing. Sting comes out dressed to wrestle and will be Hardy's partner tonight.

    (1) In a Wildcard Tournament Match, AJ Styles and Kazarian defeated Christopher Daniels and Rob Van Dam to advance. RVD turned on Daniels during the match which allowed Kazarian to hit his finisher.

    (2) Anthony Nese defeated Zema Ion in what was the 2nd Match in a Best of Three Series. Both Nese and Ion are now tied at one.

    (3) Tara and Brooke Tessmacher wrestled. Madison Rayne was referee and things ended when Tara and Tessmacher went after her.

-We get an in-ring promo with James Storm who is looking for Kurt Angle. Angle appears on the DixieTron at a Bar in Liepers Fork, Tennessee (Storm's Hometown). Angle eventually spits on a waitress in the bar.

    (4) In a Wildcard Tournament Match, Eric Young and ODB defeated Shannon Moore and Anarquia when Moore walked out on his tag team partner.

    (5) Sting and Jeff Hardy beat Bobby Roode and Bully Ray. Jeff Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb through a table on Roode during the match.

The December 19th RAW Supershow did a 2.92 cable rating and 4.29 million viewers with the TLC pay-per-view fallout.

In the segment breakdown, the show opened with a strong 3.36 rating, likely interest from the TLC pay-per-view. Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett lost 721,000 viewers but Beth Phoenix vs. Alicia Fox gained 277,000 viewers. Jinder Mahal vs. Sheamus lost 247,000 viewers and the John Cena promo that featured Kane and Mark Henry gained 428,000 viewers with a 3.18 quarter rating.

Epico & Primo vs. The Usos and Cody Rhodes vs. Santino Marella lost 719,000 viewers. Backstage segments with John Laurinaitis and The Bella Twins, Hornswoggle and a Big Show interview lost 56,000 viewers.

In what is a very bad sign, the overrun for the CM Punk, Daniel Bryan & Zack Ryder vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz & Dolph Ziggler match gained only 59,000 viewers. This is almost impossible as people tune into USA to see the next TV show. This means wrestling fans were tuning out in large numbers. Fans tuned out mostly during the first part of the match but viewership picked up some at 11pm.

The RAW six-man main event did a 2.67 rating, which might be the lowest rated RAW main event of this year.

    - It seems WWE has dropped the Brodus Clay storyline, for now at least. Since Brodus tweeted that he was going to lay out John Morrison a few weeks back on Morrison's final RAW, he's been forgotten about.

    - Skip Sheffield has been told that he's returning with a push in early 2012.

More TNA India Ring Ka King News. Long Term Plans, Thousands Denied Entrance, Near Riots
More TNA India Ring Ka King News. Long Term Plans, Thousands Denied Entrance, Near Riots

According to PWInsider.com, there are indeed long term plans for the TNA India Project, now known as Ring Ka King going forward. Indian wrestlers have been signed to long term deals while their North American counterparts have not. This could likely indicate that North American talent are currently being used as a stepping stone in order to help build up a fan base.

The fan reaction and heat some wrestlers have received is said to have been incredible. Most notably Scott Steiner who actually caused a near riot when he began to antagonize some fans in the front row. Former WWE Wrestler Chavo Guerrero wrote the following on his twitter page regarding a near riot outside after thousands of fans were refused entry at the door of the venue.

    Quote

Unbelievable night in India. Turned away 5000 ppl. Cars overturned & barricades broken.Police regained control but awesome to be wanted! :)

TNAInsider forum member TNAmarkFromIndia also posted that the tapings are being held at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, India.

Eden Stiles Parts Ways With WWE

Ring announcer Eden Stiles announced late Tuesday night on Twitter that she has parted ways with WWE after asking to be released from her contract three weeks ago.

She wrote, "This was it! 3 weeks ago I asked to be released from my WWE contract. Today was my last day. Sure enjoyed it!! More on the horizon for me."

Stiles also revealed she is dating Cody Rhodes.

"And...now that I no longer work here I'm glad to finally not "hint" and say that I am 100% Cody's girl ."

After being a successful model for a few years, Stiles wanted to get back to athletics and found herself at WWE's development facility, Florida Championship Wrestling in March, where she began training to become a WWE Diva. Stiles, however, was made the ring announcer for Superstars.

    Dark Match:

    1. Ted DiBiase defeated Dean Ambrose. DiBiase got a great reaction. Ambrose cut a typical heel promo about how we should respect him even though we suck. Ted won with Dream Street.

    WWE NXT Taping:

    1. The Uso Brothers defeated Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis.

    2. Trent Barreta defeated Curt Hawkins (w/Tyler Reks). Reks and Hawkins locked Yoshi Tatsu in a storage closet before the match. The crowd didn't really know how to root for or simply didn't care.

    3. Kaitlyn defeated Maxine. Kaityln got the win after Derrick Bateman distracted Maxine.

    4. Tyson Kidd beat Percy Watson. The match was pretty good. Kidd won in about five minutes.

    5. Titus O'Neil defeated JTG (w/Tamina). Darren Young was at ringside and attacked Titus after the match. This concluded the NXT tapings.

Beth Phoenix Injury Update & Del Rio Injured

Beth Phoenix Injury Update & Del Rio Injured

Alberto Del Rio and Beth Phoenix were both injured at Monday's WWE RAW Supershow from Philadelphia.

Del Rio was carried out of the building by trainers after Raw went off the air. There was some fear that he may have suffered a groin injury, but after being checked out by WWE trainers, he's said to be doing alright. He's not expected to miss any ring time, despite some soreness.

Beth Phoenix has a nasty lump on the side of her face folowing her match with Alicia Fox. At this time, it's unclear at what point in the match the injury takes place, but it looks like she has a golf ball sticking out of her right temple. She tweeted:

@AliciaFoxy tried her hardest to destroy my face. There will be hell to pay for trying to tarnish my beauty."

"After hours in the trainers room, I broke a lot of mirrors with my fists.

Phoenix's partner Natalya tweeted a message of support:

"@TheBethPhoenix i am sorry to see what happened on Raw...But we are still UNBREAKABLE."

TNA's India Promotion Named, TNA Stars Comment
Posted by Steve Carrier on 12/20/2011 at 12:24 PM

Matt Morgan stated on Twitter that TNA Wrestling's offshoot India promotion is named Ring Ka King, which means King of the Ring. He, as well as several other talents including Mickie James, Magnus, Harry Smith, Luke Gallows, Chavo Guerrero and Shawn Daivari, are in Mumbai this week taping the first footage for their planned debut on the television network Colors.

Regarding the experience, Morgan said, "Ring Ka King's first TV show went really well and these fans are getting one helluva wrestling product! Roster is a great one and Endemol has done a superb job creating a different tv look altogether. What's really cool is getting the chance to work with guys that I started in the business with at same time in OVW with on this tour!"

Magnus added, "The setup blew me away, it looks great! Atmosphere was incredible too."

Jeremy Borash is also on hand for the festivities. He commented, "The crowd in India was f'n nuts and the set is sick."
