Royal Rumble Returning To 30-Man Format Posted by Dave Mitchell on 11/29/2011 at 01:51 PM
After the 2011 Royal Rumble was dubbed the "biggest Royal Rumble in history" with a record-breaking 40 participants, it appears WWE is reverting back to the traditional 30-man format for January's 2012 Rumble.
St. Louis' Scottrade Center, which hosts the Rumble, is advertising a "30-man Royal Rumble match" as well as WWE Championship & World Heavyweight title matches for the event.
Tickets for the January 29th pay-per-view go on sale December 10, with prices ranging from $20-300.
-- Matt Hardy was ordered to complete his court mandated rehabilitation program as part of his release from jail on Monday. District Court Judge Robert Wilkins lowered the former WWE star's bond from $1 million to $100,000.
"This was done over the state's objection," District Attorney Maureen Krueger told ThePilot.com.
Should Hardy fail to complete rehab, his bond will increase to $250,000.

WWE Raw SuperShow results: John Cena enters "Piper's Pit" By: Ryan Murphy November 28, 2011 Tags: WWE Raw SuperShow: November 28, 2011
COLUMBIA, S.C. An incendiary confrontation between Rowdy Roddy Piper and John Cena on Pipers Pit set the stage for an aggressive Raw SuperShow that featured another brutal assault from The Miz and the first title defense of WWE Champion CM Punk.
WWE Champion CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio (WATCH | PHOTOS) The Mexican Aristocrat didnt think CM Punk was going to go down that easy, did he? Barely one week into his reign as WWE Champion, The Straight Edge Superstar defended his title in a bout where he would have lost the championship had he been disqualified. Attempting to take advantage of this stipulation, Del Rio removed a turnbuckle pad and brought a steel chair into the ring. But the WWE Champion had his opponent scouted and tossed the foreign object before sending the underhanded Superstar headfirst into the exposed turnbuckle for the cunning win.
Mick Foley hyped Tuesdays LIVE SmackDown (WATCH | PHOTOS) Returning to Raw after his less-than-successful edition of John Cena: This Is Your Life, a festive Mick Foley came out in full Santa regalia and charmed the University of South Carolina with a WWE-inspired version of 'Twas the Night Before SmackDown. With The Hardcore Legend overseeing the festivities and a World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match, its a show you dont want to miss.
Kanes resurrection crept near (WATCH) It was somewhat hard to see clearly through the burning flames, but every longtime WWE fan knew exactly what they were looking at in this brief clip the red and black mask Kane once wore to cover up the scars of childhood trauma. Although cryptic, the disturbing vignette promised one thing The Devils Favorite Demon will soon return to torment WWE once again.
Zack Ryder def. Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) The Ryder Revolution continued unabated in Columbia as The Woo Woo Woo Kid fist pumped his way to victory over the dangerous Jack Swagger. With that win, Ryder looked one step closer to receiving his United States Championship Match with Dolph Ziggler.
Daniel Bryan was confronted by Michael Cole and World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry (WATCH | PHOTOS) Days after his Money in the Bank cash in on World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry was overturned due to Henry being injured, Daniel Bryan exchanged words with one of his biggest critics Michael Cole. Calling Bryan a hypocrite for cashing in after he promised he wouldnt, the sniveling announcer attempted to belittle the tenacious Superstar before he faces The Worlds Strongest Man for the coveted title in a Steel Cage Match on SmackDown.
Not one to be rattled, Bryan made it clear that his new goal is to win the World Heavyweight Championship, which brought out a very ornery Mark Henry. Scoffing at his underdog challenger, the big man promised to induct the submission expert into the Hall of Pain. Instead of firing back an insult, Bryan blasted Henrys injured leg, assuring the heavyweights tender ankle will still be vulnerable in 24 hours.
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Randy Orton (WATCH | PHOTOS) Get ready for some endless braggadocio. After scoring a surprise victory over Randy Orton, the arrogant Dolph Ziggler looked ready to grab his iPhone and start Tweeting about his triumph, but the United States Champions win wasnt exactly hard-fought. Distracted by his rival Wade Barrett who was sitting in on commentary, WWEs Apex Predator took his eyes off his prey for a split-second and ended up falling victim to a Zig Zag. It was arguably a cheap victory, but that didnt stop Ziggler from celebrating with, of all things, a headstand.
Kelly Kelly & Alicia Fox def. The Bella Twins (WATCH | PHOTOS) Following Kelly Kelly & Alicia Foxs impressive tag win over the treacherous Bella Twins, WWE fans werent Tweeting about Kellys awesome headscissors takedown or Alicias flipping legdrop. Instead, everyone was talking about Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya who randomly jogged around the ringside area. The duos actions were unclear, but rest assured the pin-up strong pair will offer a nasty reason for their public exercise soon.
The Miz def. John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Once the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz and John Morrison have argued for years over who became the Marty Jannetty of the pair. The WWE Universe may have received the answer to that question tonight. Bashing JoMos leg with a steel pipe before The Prince of Parkour even entered the ring, The Awesome One got a big advantage early and proceeded to punish his opponent with a kendo stick. Although he battled valiantly, Morrison was deemed unable to compete after being knocked for a loop by a Skull Crushing Finale on the entrance ramp the same maneuver The Miz used to put R-Truth out of action last Monday.
As The Prince of Parkours broken body was stretchered away, a remorseless Miz grabbed a microphone and promised that his brutal attacks will not end tonight.
John Cena entered Pipers Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper (WATCH | PHOTOS) Rowdy Roddy Piper has never shied away from controversy, so WWE fans werent exactly surprised when Hot Rod flat-out asked John Cena if the WWE Universes boos were starting to get to him. Always cool under pressure, the Cenation leader refused to gripe and instead insisted that he cant control the way the crowd reacts, but he can control what happens in the ring. Cenas honorable response did not convince Piper, who made it clear that if the powerful Superstar doesnt face his critics before WrestleMania, he may suffer for it. The Scotsman then added an exclamation to his statement by handing the former WWE Champion his Hall of Fame ring before slapping him across the face.
Although he was rattled by the strike, Cena did not attack the fiery legend. Instead, he returned the ring and quietly exited the squared circle.
WWE released another cryptic video on RAW this week. Despite rumors to the contrary, the cryptic promos airing for January 2012 are meant for Chris Jericho as of this writing.
News came out several weeks ago that talks fell through between WWE and Jericho but they are still ongoing as of right now. Also, Jericho recently said he would never wrestle for WWE again and when asked what he would be doing in January, he responded Working in Hawaii. Thats likely a cover-up.
Word is that the deal between WWE and Jericho is not done yet but Vince McMahon wanted to get it out there now. Obviously Vince McMahon feels a deal will be made. WWE officials want Jericho on the RAW brand to help boost ratings.
-- On Skip Sheffield's Facebook page, he was tagged in a photo by a fan who ran into him earlier this month at an auto shop in Florida. The fan says Sheffield told him he will be returning to WWE television under the name Ryback.
Sheffield was removed from the Raw Superstars page on WWE.com earlier this week, thus indicating that the character is through. WWE recently applied to trademark Ryback, which suggests that he will be repackaged with a new character upon his return from injury. Prior to assuming the cowboy persona in WWE's developmental system, he appeared as Ryback, an indestructible "Terminator" style character billed from "The Future."
WWE has signed Lingerie Football League star Danielle Moinet to a developmental deal. She debuted last week as a manager for former ECW personality Abraham Washington.
Moinet expressed interest during media interviews earlier this year in becoming a WWE Diva and has tweeted about being a fan. Besides playing in the LFL, she also has a degree in marketing.
- Jeff Hardy is currently working through a back injury that is limiting him on what he can do in the ring. Hardy's injury is the reason why his match against Jeff Jarrett was cut short at the Turning Point pay-per-view. Hardy reportedly threw his back out several weeks before Turning Point.
TNA Knockout Says Contract Has Expired, Expects to Part Ways
Little seen TNA Knockout Jackie Moore has revealed on Twitter that her contract with TNA is up and that she expects them to remove her from the roster. Jackie wrote:

I guess they will remove me from the roster page soon .contract is up.
Jackie has not been seen on Impact Wrestling in months since she and ODB returned over the summer in a feud with Velvet Sky. The pair returned as outsiders, disgruntled about losing their jobs with TNA in the past and eventually earned new contracts. However, both have been seen even less since becoming full-fledged Knockouts. ODB was recently used in the 10-Knockout gauntlet match on Impact while Jackie hasnt been brought in for the tapings in recent months.

SmackDown results: Bryan becomes the man of Steel By: Michael Burdick November 25, 2011 Tags: SmackDown: November 25, 2011
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. Less than two hours after unsuccessfully cashing in Money in the Bank due to a technicality, Daniel Bryan propelled himself into a World Heavyweight Championship Match against Mark Henry this Tuesday on a special LIVE holiday edition of SmackDown on Syfy at 8./7 CT - hosted by Mick Foley.
Daniel Bryan triumphed in a Fatal 4-Way World Heavyweight Title No. 1 Contenders Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) In a whirlwind Fatal 4-Way Match, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Wade Barrett and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes faced off to decide who would challenge an injured Mark Henry for the World Heavyweight Championship this Tuesday.
Just when Orton looked ready to close the door on Bryan in the conclusion of the explosive showdown, Barrett pulled The Viper out of the ring and extinguished his offensive with a DDT. Rhodes seized the opportunity, attempting to pin the fallen Bryan. However, out of nowhere, Mr. Money in the Bank turned the tide, locking in the LeBell Lock to make the Intercontinental Champion tap out.
After the bell, an infuriated Rhodes attacked the triumphant Superstar. But, Randy Orton quickly put a stop to his offensive, hitting the aggressor with the RKO and allowing Bryan to savor his moment.
As a result of his mega-victory, Bryan earned himself a World Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match against Mark Henry on a LIVE holiday edition of SmackDown, this Tuesday at 8/7 CT on Syfy. Ted DiBiase def. Heath Slater (WATCH | PHOTOS) As Ted DiBiase and Heath Slater were set to lock horns, Jinder Mahal appeared on the TitianTron admonishing the leader of the "DiBiase Posse" in both Punjabi and English for forsaking his family, wealth, and upbringing to hang out in parking lots with a bunch of mere commoners.
Slater took advantage of the distraction, attacking his opponent from behind. This set the ground work for an intense battle between the two determined Superstars. Despite a hard-fought match by The One Man Southern Rock Band, DiBiase ultimately reigned supreme with Dream Street.
Sheamus & Zack Ryder def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) Dolph Ziggler did not come to SmackDown at a loss for words, as both Vickie Guerrero and the bleach blond champion openly bragged about his two victories at Survivor Series five days ago.
Still, all the talk in the world couldnt stop the United States Champion from getting pinned by Zack Ryder for the third time in a month, this time in tag team action. The Long Island Iced Z executed the Rough Ryder leg lariat on Ziggler for the victory just seconds after Sheamus avoided the Zig Zag with a display of incredible power.
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya def. AJ & Kaitlyn (WATCH | PHOTOS) One week ago, Kaitlyn was noticeably upset when her partner AJ tapped out to Natalyas Sharpshooter to end their match against the "pin-up strong" duo. This week, Michael Cole reported that the blonde Divas frustration came from the large amount of attention her partner was paying to Daniel Bryan, rather than focusing on their matches.
In their tag team rematch with Alicia Fox sitting in with the SmackDown announce team Natalya again scored a victory over AJ with the Sharpshooter. However, after the bell, Kaitlyn decided to walk out on her best friend, leaving Natalya free to put AJ in another submission hold trying to make the spunky Diva cry. Without A-Fox intervening, AJ might have been locked in the painful maneuver indefinitely.
Hunico def. Justin Gabriel (WATCH | PHOTOS) Knocking Justin Gabriel off the top rope, an extremely brutal Hunico flipped down onto his high-flying opponent to claim a huge win.
Daniel Bryan unsuccessfully cashed in Money in the Bank (WATCH | PHOTOS) World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry hobbled to the ring, the direct result of an injury suffered at the hands of Big Show five days earlier at Survivor Series. (PHOTOS)
The Worlds Strongest Champion denied that he got himself intentionally disqualified at the Silver Anniversary of WWEs second longest running pay-per-view, saying his adversary made that up to make him look like the bad guy. When Big Show emerged, Henry declared that there wouldnt be a title rematch. Instead, he called the giant The Worlds Largest Loser, inspiring the massive Superstar to knock him out with the WMD. Moments later, Daniel Bryan stunned the WWE Universe by emerging to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and pin the out-cold Henry for what appeared to be the biggest victory of his career! However, his hopes and dreams were quickly crushed, when SmackDown GM Theodore Long informed him that because The World Strongest Man was injured and not medically cleared to compete, the pin was invalid.
Returning the Money in the Bank briefcase to Bryan, Long proclaimed that he would compete in a Fatal 4-Way main event to decide who will face Henry for the World Title during a LIVE episode of SmackDown this Tuesday at 8/7.
Speaking to SLAM! Wrestling, Gail Kim explains why she disobeyed WWE by controversially eliminating herself from the Divas Battle Royal on the August 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. She says it was the culmination of all the disrespect she felt from WWE.
"I don't regret what I did at all. It was a respect thing," Kim says. "I was told to get eliminated as soon as possible, so that's what I did. I saw my decision as a case of either continuing to take their lack of respect or doing something about it.
"Nobody knows what I went through in terms of disrespect during my time there, but that move wasn't just about me it was a culmination of all the disrespect I felt that all the other women and the women's division as a whole had received too, I was taking a stand.
"While a lot of fans watching Raw noticed what I did, nobody from WWE noticed, that just shows how much they didn't care. I went up to Johnny [John Laurinaitis] after and spoke about the Battle Royal and his reaction towards the match was, 'Yeah, I heard it was pretty shit.' I was amazed and I then told him how I eliminated myself and he just laughed.
"How can fans take the division seriously if the people working for the company aren't? If it had been one of the men who had eliminated themselves they would have been punished, but because it was the women nobody cared, not even after I had told them."
A few days later Kim announced on Twitter that she had quit WWE, however, she was not permitted to bolt. What followed was a standoff between WWE and their former Women's Champion, which saw her forced to sit out the remainder of her contract.
"WWE are notoriously known for being controlling when it comes to your career, that night of the Battle Royal I went to Johnny and told him I quit, I said I don't want your money; I just want to be free. He told me that it shouldn't be a problem, but of course it was," Kim says.
"They didn't want me to work elsewhere, at this time I told him, 'What does it matter if I leave or not? You're not using me, it's not like I'm valuable to you just let me go,' but there was no budging."
After sitting at home for over two months waiting out the remainder of her contract, Kim finally made her much anticipated return to TNA Wrestling on the October 20 episode of Impact Wrestling, when she aligning herself with Madison Rayne and Karen Jarrett. Being a TNA Knockout means everything to her.
"I'm just so excited to be back in the company, I can't speak for anybody in particular but the feeling I got when I came back was that there were no hard feelings about my previous decision to leave. Being back here feels like time has never passed.
"I think everyone kind of expected me to return. I said in my last interview when I was leaving that I would probably be back, everyone has been real welcoming, it's like being a part of a family here at TNA. It's great to see the growth that this company has made since I've been gone, it's nice to see the direction its going and where they want to be heading."
She adds, "I'm just so happy to be here and to now be a part of a company once again that actually cares about wrestling."

Update on Undertaker's status for Wrestlemania Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 11/23/2011 at 08:53 PM

The Undertaker has had another hip and shoulder operation since hes been away from the ring. Last year around this time there was doubt in Takers health for WrestleMania but the latest word is that hes recovered well and is ready for Miami. We dont know yet who Takers opponent is for WrestleMania 28 but word is that it has already been decided on. WWE officials have reportedly decided on the top three WrestleMania matches, including John Cena vs. The Rock, and Takers match will be the #2 top match on the card.
The new TNA brand that will be taped in India and broadcast there over the Colors Network will have its first set of tapings in mid-December. I am told that some talents have started to be quietly signed for the project but haven't confirmed any names yet.
This is the new project we wrote about a few weeks back being headed by Jeff Jarrett that Dutch Mantel, Dave Lagana and Rudy Charles will be working on. The TNA letters will not be used for the project.
TNA Wrestler Jesse Neal Spoke with the Wrestling Marks of Excellence Radio show about his status with TNA.
Neal said he is still under contract with TNA and he is currently scheduled for the upcoming set of tapings at the impact zone in Orlando. He did admit that he was offered training in OVW but the two sides so far have not agreed to compensation for working there.
