We kick off the show with a video looking back at this past weekend’s No Surrender PPV, featuring Bobby Roode’s victory in the Bound For Glory Series and Kurt Angle retaining the World Title thanks to the help of Hulk Hogan. We then head to the ring in the Impact Zone for our opening promo hyping a match that will happen for the first time in over a decade.

Ric Flair comes out to the ring and demands Sting come down to the ring to talk to him one last time before their match tonight. Sting comes out and Flair says he wants back in the limelight like before, he promised Hogan he’d beat him and Sting will only get to Hogan over his dead body. Sting says if that’s the way it is, then Flair’s going to die tonight. He tells Flair to take his robe off and go right now, but Flair is hesitant. Security runs out to separate them and Sting’s music hits as Flair tells Sting he lucked out again. Flair heads to the back as security continues to hold Sting back.

Jeff Hardy is arriving at the Impact Zone and we’ll find out what he wants…NEXT!

Jeff Hardy is backstage saying he’s glad to be back and have the chance to apologize to everyone. The first step toward getting there was last week in Huntsville, and tonight is the second step when he starts to prove himself to the wrestlers and fans.

Time to head to the ring for our opening match…

Mexican America vs Devon, The Pope, Brooke Tessmacher & Tara

Pope makes sure to say hello to Devon’s kids on the way to the ring as Tessmacher tears her shirt off and does a little mini-strip show. Devon and Hernandez start us off and start there blabbing at each other until Devon comes off the ropes and takes Hernandez out with a flying shoulderblock. Anarquia and Pope come in next and Pope hits a bunch of atomic drops and a flying shoulderblock of his own. Sarita comes in and grabs Pope from the outside, allowing Anarquia and Hernandez to suckerpunch him and take the advantage. It only lasts a moment before Pope makes the tag to Devon, who comes in and cleans house. Devon with a spinebuster and the girls wind up in a track meet before the Mexicanas decide to stop and hit on Devon’s sons. Devon’s kids get all into it, but all hell breaks loose with Devon and Pope knocking Hernandez and Anarquia to the floor while Brooke and Tara hit simultaneous rollups and pin Sarita and Rosita.

Winners: Devon, The Pope, Brooke Tessmacher & Tara

Karen is backstage admiring a giant poster of herself, and Traci Brooks comes in to get a tongue lashing from Karen, who took a whole six minutes to get there. Karen tells her to cover up her boobs, and Traci asks her if she’s jealous, and Karen says no because she doesn’t show her stuff off like a five and dime ho. Karen tells Traci to get the Knockouts in there and she has five minutes.

Okay, we’re back from commercial and all the Knockouts are in the dressing room with Karen. Karen says Mickie’s not getting her rematch and she’s done, and as for the rest of them, they’re going to have three matches in the Queen’s Challenge. She asks if they know who the queen is, and Madison says it’s HER!!!! Madison puts her tiara on Karen’s head, then says it’s going to be Mickie James vs Miss Tessmacher, Tara vs Madison Rayne, and Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love, with the winner challenging Winter at Bound For Glory.

We head out to the ring where Fortune is in the ring (hey, Kazarian does still work here!), and AJ introduces the winner of the Bound For Glory Series and the new #1 contender for the World Title, Bobby Roode! Roode comes out to the ring and AJ acknowledges what Roode accomplished by winning the series, and the crowd started chanting “next World Champ” at Roode, and AJ says to listen to the fans because he earned it and it’s going to happen. Daniels says the way Roode won the series was as inspirational as when he beat AJ in Huntsville. They all believe in him and he needs to believe in himself the way he did when he beat AJ. Kazarian says they’ve watched each other’s back and made this place, but they have individual goals as well. Kazarian doesn’t blow smoke, but nobody deserves to be champion more than Roode. Storm says Bobby Roode, future World Champion has a nice ring to it, and all the nights they rode the roads together and Roode’s been missing his family, it all comes down to the World Title match with Kurt Angle. He wishes it was him, but since it isn’t, he’s damn glad it’s Roode and he’s sorry about Roode’s damn luck.

Kurt Angle comes out with a big smile on his face and he tells Roode he’s right about what he accomplished, but he knows the rest of them are jealous of Roode because they all want that shot at the title. Since none of the rest of them want to tell Roode themselves, he’ll tell him. Because he has the power of the Hogan-Bischoff Regime, he’s booked Roode to face all the other members of Fortune in the weeks leading up to Bound For Glory. They can lie down for Roode if they want, but if they beat him then they’ll be at the top of the totem pole. Kazarian’s a lucky man because he’s up first tonight.

Eric Bischoff is backstage telling Kurt Angle what a great idea it was to book Fortune against Robert Roode and tells him it was a gold medal idea.

    Back to the ring!

Queen’s Challenge Opening Round Match: Angelina Love vs Velvet Sky

Angelina jumps Velvet during her entrance while she’s shaking her ass, proving thatthere is a Knockout smart enough to figure that out. Angelina beats Velvet up around ringside and then throws her back into the ring, but Velvet hits a bulldog and Angelina rolls out to the floor as we go to commercial.

We’re back and Angelina is still beating Velvet up, putting the boots to her in the corner, but stops to play to the crowd and Velvet gets a quick rollup for 2. Angelina quickly kills her with a clothesline, then goes to a rear chinlock that Velvet escapes with a jawbreaker. Winter trips Velvet from the outside, and Angelina quickly pounces, choking her on the second rope and then distracting the referee so Winter can choke her as well. Back to the chinlock, then Angelina hits a nasty kneelift. Angelina tries to whip Angelina into Winter (who is on the apron), and Angelina stops short but Velvet dropkicks her and starts to rally. Winter goes to hit Velvet with the belt, but Velvet ducks and Winter knocks Angelina out. Velvet hits the Beauty-T (it’s like a DDT with a different name) and gets the win to advance.

    Winner: Velvet Sky

Jeff Hardy comes to AJ in the locker room to apologize, but AJ doesn’t want to hear it because he worked his ass off for nine years and then Jeff comes out on one PPV and nearly destroys the whole thing. AJ says Jeff is risking taking money from his family, and he’s why people talk negative about TNA. He doesn’t think there’s a time or a place for Jeff to be around him, and then AJ turns his back as Jeff walks out with a regretful look on his face.

Hulk Hogan arrives backstage and sees Ric Flair and tells him this is the biggest day of both of their careers. REALLY?? Hogan says he has a plan, but Sting comes from behind, puts his arms around both of them, and says he has a plan too: he’s going to beat Flair and then get to Hogan at Bound For Glory. Sting leaves, so Hogan tells Flair to come with him so he can smarten him up. These promos just get more bizarre every week.

We now go to Crimson, who is with us by satellite from Brooklyn, as he talks about how Samoa Joe took him out and he’s happy for Bobby Roode, but it should have been him. Taz asks what the heat is with him and Joe, but everything you do has consequences and Joe made it personal, and he will pay. Mike Tenay asks when we can expect to see him back on Imapct, and Crimson says he’ll be back in two weeks.

Submission Match: Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan

Joe attacks Morgan before the bell and unloads on him in the corner, but Morgan grabs him and tosses him into the corner where he destroys him with hard right hands and then the machine gun elbows. Joe goes down in the corner, so Morgan hits a running knee and then annihilates him with more vicious strikes. Joe gets a jawbreaker and sweeps his legs, then starts kicking at Morgan’s knee. Morgan gets in a couple of shots and comes off the ropes, but Joe wipes him out with a back elbow and goes to the Kokina Clutch. Morgan gets to the ropes and Joe breaks for some reason even though he didn’t have to since this is submissions only, and he pays for it when Morgan begins destroying him with more right hands and a discus clothesline. Morgan with a side suplex and a Michinoku Driver, then gets a sort of inverted triangle choke and Joe now goes to the ropes since it worked before even though it shouldn’t. Joe ducks the Carbon Footprint and tries a kick, Morgan catches the foot and goozles Joe, but Joe pulls the referee between them and thumbs Morgan in the eye. Joe with a double kneesmasher and then locks Morgan in the figure four until he taps.

    Winner: Samoa Joe

Joe gives Morgan a “that’s right, bitch” look before grabbing his towel and walking off.

Kurt Angle walks into Frankie Kazarian’s locker room asking him if he’s ready because he’s looking for the next top contender after he beats Roode. He wants Kazarian to prove he’s the top guy in Fortune, and he’ll be waiting.

Devon is backstage telling Jeff Hardy that he’s been real with him for 12 years and they’ve been up and down the highway for 12 years, and he doesn’t care what anybody else thinks because he cares about Jeff and won’t turn his back on him, but he’ll be damned if Jeff throws it all away like that. He knows Jeff Hardy can be the showstopper and be the one that comes up like any other, and he needs Jeff to get it straight. He won’t turn his back on Jeff, he’ll grab him by the neck and throw him through the wall to get him on the straight and narrow, and asks Jeff if he knows what he’s saying. Jeff says he does, and Devon says that’s good because if he screws up this time, it’s over. Jeff starts to leave and Devon says that if Jeff needs him, he’s got Jeff’s back.

    Time for our next match…

    Bobby Roode vs Frankie Kazarian

Looks like Roode’s got some newtights. They tie up and do a feeling out process and end in a stalemate. They go again and Roode takes Kazarian down with a waistlock and goes to a front facelock. Kazarian reverses to a wristlock and Roode quickly armdrags him across the ring. Kazarian sweeps Roode’s leg and springboards off the ropes, but misses the legdrop so he tries a springboard DDT instead and Roode catches him and dumps him right into a northern lights suplex for 2. Kazarian takes Roode to the corner and unloads with a series of forearms, but Roode just stares at him beforefiringback with forearms of his own and then clotheslines Kazarian over the top rope to the floor. Roode goes out after Kazarian and tries to help him back to his feet, but Kazarian shoves himandthen decks him in the face. Kazarian rolls Roode into the ring and hits a slingshot legdrop for 2, then a side salto for another 2. Kazarian goes to a three quarter nelson, but Roode fights his way out and starts the babyface comeback. Roode with a Blockbuster for 2, Kazarian tries for the Blackout, but Roode slips out and traps Kazarian in the Crippler Crossface right in the middle of the ring and Kazarian has no choice but to tap.

    Winner: Bobby Roode

Kurt Angle is backstage looking unhappy with the result of that match, then Roode tries to help Kazarian back to his feet and Kazarian walks away from him, then cools down and shakes Roode’s hand and tells him that he’s ready.

During the break, Kazarian is backstage telling Roode that it got physical out there because he wants to be in Roode’s spot, but Roode proved himself and they’ll do it again when it’s for the right reasons. Roode says he’s been ready for 13 years and it’s his time. We then go to Austin Aries, who says the X Division will become the A Double Division, and next week, he’ll make his first titme defense.

We run down some matches for next week, and then we go to comments from Jerry Lynn and Bully Ray. Lynn says RVD is gullible for not realizing what Lynn was doing getting him disqualified every week. He’s going to beat RVD’s brains in, and Bully Ray is going to put his chain through Anderson’s head when the two of them face Rob Van Dam and Ken Anderson next week.

    It’s main event time!

    Ric Flair vs Sting

The bell rings and we’re off. They tie up and Sting powers Flair across the ring, then comes off the ropes and takes Flair down with a shoulderblock. Another tie up and Flair goes to a wristlock and yanks Sting down by the hair. Sting tries a kip up and barely makes it, then takes Flair to the corner and breaks clean. Flair woos, Sting yells, then they trade hammerlocks. Flair with a drop toehold and floats over to a front facelock, but Sting reverses to a hammerlock and Flair goes to the ropes for a break. Flair shoves Sting and Sting knocks him on his butt with a slap to the face as we go to commercial. Because we want to interrupt the first Sting vs Flair match in a decade with a commercial!

We’re back, and Flair catches Sting coming into the corner with a back elbow and then tries to go up top, but we all know how that turns out. Sting tosses Flair, then clotheslines him over the top to ringside. Sting follows him out and Flair whips him into the rail, but Sting comes right back with a clothesline and then rolls Flair into the ring where he beats him down in the corner. Sting stops to argue with the referee and Flair does his trademark uppercut and Sting goes down in a heap. Flair picks him up and lays in some chops, but Sting fires back and goes up top in the corner for the 10 punch count. Sting whips Flair across the ring and goes for the Stinger Splash, but Flair dodges and Sting hits the corner hard, then Flair clips Sting’s knee. Flair gets the figure four, but Sting manages to reverse. Flair breaks, but goes right back after Sting’s knee and dishes out some more chops in the corner. Sting starts no-selling, so Flair pokes him in the eye and goes back up top, but Sting goes up after him and hits a superplex that a 63 year old man just should not be taking and covers for 2, then the rest of Immortal runs in and Sting takes care of them all until Hogan comes to ringside and distracts Sting. Bully Ray comes out of the crowd with a chain and stalks Sting, but Ken Anderson’s music hits and he chases Ray off with a chair as Hogan hands Flair a set of knucks. Flair knocks Sting out and goes for the cover, but Sting gets his shoulder up at 2. Flair goes back to more chops, but Sting no-sells, hits the Stinger Splash, Flair does the Flop, Sting looks out at Hogan and gets the Scorpion Deathlock, and Flair submits.

    Winner: Sting

We see a closeup of Hogan at ringside yelling at Sting, we fade to black and that’s it.

Update on The Rock wrestling at Survivor Series

According to Bryan Alvarez, WWE officials are reportedly trying very hard to get The Rock to wrestle at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The original idea was for him to appear and do an angle but not wrestle until the match with John Cena at WrestleMania 28 but now they want him to wrestle in November. As noted before, there has also been discussion of doing a best of 3 series between the two.

Whether or not The Rock should wrestle or not at Survivor Series was a controversial topic of discussion within WWE this past week.

    WWE NXT Results - 9/13/11

-It's time for the twenty-eighth week of NXT Redemption! The opening titles roll, and commentators Jack Korpela and William Regal welcome us from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

-Matt Striker is in the ring with a mic. He welcomes us to NXT Redemption. He said he'd normally be setting up a challenge, but what happened last night between William Regal, Darren Young, and NXT is really bothering him. He calls JTG and Young goons before JTG and Young interrupt.

-JTG says that hockey isn't even a real sport, which the crowd boos. Regal gets in the ring to even the confrontation out. JTG and Young get in the ring and face off against the two. JTG asks Striker if he really thinks Regal is better than him, which Striker says "Yes!" to. Regal chants start from the crowd. Regal asks Young and Striker to translate what JTG has been saying, since he couldn't understand a single word. JTG says that kind of disrespect is what he's been talking about. Darren says he keeps hearing that he doesn't respect the pros and superstars, but really, the past doesn't respect the future, No Days Off D-Young. Regal says he's been told that his body isn't in top shape, and he agrees with that, but when Young and JTG say he's washed up, that gets his attention. He asks how they'd feel if a washed up old man beat them half to death. Darren and JTG say that this match is happening tonight. Regal ends the promo by saying that the two of them need to remember that he's "Straight up gangsta trippin'!" and he and Striker run them out of the ring. Striker and Regal pose like gangstas as Young and JTG retreat up the ramp.

-Derrick Bateman's music hits and out come Tyson Kidd and Bateman for some tag team action. Titus O'Neil has his own tron and music as he and Percy Watson make their way to the ring. Hornswoggle is conspicuously absent, and he (and the other pros) was removed from the intro.

Match #1: Titus O'Neil & Percy Watson vs. Derrick Bateman & Tyson Kidd

-Percy and Bateman start out in the ring. Percy applies a headlock, hits the ropes, and takes Bateman down with a shoulder block. Percy then hits a dropkick for a two-count. He tags in Titus and the team hits a double shoulder block. Bateman rolls to his corner and tags in Kidd. Kidd starts to kick away at Titus' quads, but Titus hits yet another shoulder block on Tyson. He pushes Kidd into the face corner, punches him a few times, and tags in Percy. Percy hits an enzuigiri as Titus holds Tyson in place. Percy hits the ropes, but Bateman tries to trip him up. Percy yells at him between the ropes, and Tyson takes advantage, landing a kick on Percy, sending him to the outside. Bateman then jumps from the apron, hitting a diving dropkick on Percy. Percy is sent back into the ring and Bateman is tagged in. Bateman slams Percy's head into the corner and Kidd is tagged back in. Tyson stomps away at Percy and chokes him on the bottom rope. Tyson hits a snapmare and kicks Percy's back. A front headlock from Tyson is applied and he drags him to the heel corner. Bateman tags Tyson's back, and Percy is able to break away from him. Percy hits the ropes but runs into a clothesline from Bateman. Bateman applies a chinlock, and modifies it into a neckbreaker for a one-count. Bateman tags in Kidd and holds Percy in a camel clutch. Kidd runs the ropes and lands a low dropkick on Percy's face for a near-fall. Tyson goes to the second rope and goes for a dropkick, but Percy hits a dropkick of his own on Tyson in mid-air. Percy gets the hot tag to Titus, as does Kidd. Titus levels Bateman repeatedly with clotheslines and shoulder blocks before hitting a scoop slam. A pin attempt is broken up by Kidd. Percy gets involved as well, clotheslining Kidd and himself out of the ring. Bateman tries to take control with a few clubbing blows to Titus' back, but Titus quickly pushes Bateman into the ropes and hits Clash of the Titus for the three-count.

Winners: Titus O'Neil & Percy Watson

    -Commercial

-AJ is on the phone backstage. She's leaving a voicemail for Hornswoggle, who hasn't been answering the phone and is nowhere to be found. Maxine comes up and AJ asks where Hornswoggle is. Maxine says that Hornswoggle's been with the Bella Twins in Palm Springs. AJ calls Maxine a liar, but Maxine holds up a picture, to AJ's surprise. AJ says she doesn't believe it and storms off. Maxine says to herself "Photoshop is great."

    -Commercial

-AJ's music hits and she comes out alone, slightly less peppy than usual. The whereabouts of Hornswoggle are discussed by the commentators. Maxine comes out alone as well.

    Match #2: Maxine vs. AJ

-They yell at each other before locking up Maxine forces AJ into the corner and yells "Where's your boyfriend, huh?!" AJ pushes her down and hits a low dropkick. Maxine falls back into the corner and AJ hits a monkey flip for a two-count. Maxine whips AJ and hits an atomic drop before slamming her down by her hair and slamming her face into the second turnbuckle. Maxine then wrenches AJ's head back before choking her on the second rope. Maxine slams AJ down by the hair again and goes back to wrenching AJ's head back. Maxine switches it to a rear chinlock as she talks more trash to AJ and slams knees into her back. AJ slowly gets to her feet, but Maxine slams her back down for a quick two-count. Maxine whips AJ and hits a big boot for another two-count. Maxine then pushes AJ into the corner and chokes her with her leg. Maxine pulls AJ out to the middle of the ring and hits a neckbreaker, gets a two-count, and reapplies the chinlock. AJ is whipped into the corner and Maxine charges, but AJ gets her feet up. AJ goes to the second rope and hits a cross-body for a near-fall. AJ hits a clothesline and a big spinning wheel kick on Maxine for a two-count. Maxine gets AJ up on her shoulders, but AJ grabs the top rope. Maxine drops her neck-first onto the rope. Maxine picks up AJ and hits what could be describes as a reverse backpack stunner for the win.

    Winner: Maxine

-Titus comes out to check on AJ as Maxine celebrates on the outside.

-Before the main event begins, Michael Cole makes his way to the commentary booth in place of William Regal. Oh good, I get to cover Cole commentating.

Match #3: William Regal & Matt Striker vs. Darren Young & JTG

-Regal and JTG start out in the ring. Regal goes for a handshake, but JTG won't comply, as a Regal chant starts. Cole already won't shut up, burying the show. Regal tosses JTG to the outside and sets Young up in Shattered Dreams position. Striker gets in the ring and helps Regal pick up JTG, who just got back in the ring. They use JTG's head as a battering ram, hitting Young where it hurts.

    -Commercial

-Regal has Darren in the corner. Darren fights out and they trade European uppercuts. I'm so tempted to mute this match already, as Cole just won't stop burying this show and everyone involved. Regal forces Striker into the face corner and Striker is tagged back in. Striker hits a number of knees to Darren's head. Darren fights away and whips Striker, and while the referee is distracted, JTG kicks Striker in the back. Darren tags in JTG and hits a scoop slam on Striker. JTG hits some mounted punches on Striker and applies a chinlock. Jack Korpela is doing his best to act impartial and call the match, but Cole is being all too overbearing. JTG hits a short-arm clothesline on Striker for a two-count, before going back to a chinlock. Striker slowly gets to his feet and attempts a school boy, but JTG kicks out and hits a running knee to Striker's torso. Young is tagged in and gets Striker on the apron, before hitting a leg drop on Striker. Young rolls back into the ring and wrenches Striker's head back. Regal's calling for a hot tag as Young drags Striker away from his own corner and JTG tags in. Striker gets a quick punch to JTG's face, but JTG clubs Striker's back and applies a surfboard stretch. Striker gets to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Both men get the tag and Regal hits an exploder suplex on Young. He forces Young into the corner and JTG tries to get involved, so Regal hits a flapjack. Young is down in the corner, so Regal tags in Striker. Striker hits the ropes and hits a big boot on Young. Striker hits the ropes again and hits a running face wash on Young in the corner. The pin attempt is broken up by JTG. Regal takes care of the interference, tossing JTG to the outside. Striker goes for what looks to be a backstabber, but Darren grabs the rope, staying on his feet. JTG slams Regal's head against the ring steps. Darren gets Striker from the ground straight to his shoulders and hits his stomachbreaker finisher to win the match.

    Winners: Darren Young & JTG

-Darren Young and JTG celebrate in the ring, but Jimmy and Jey Uso come out and clear both men out of the ring. The Usos celebrate while Young and JTG reel at the bottom of the ramp to end this episode of NXT Redemption. Thanks for reading.

WWE Raw SuperShow: Punk explodes on The Game

By: Greg Adkins September 12, 2011
Tags: WWE Raw SuperShow: September 12, 2011
OTTAWA, Ontario - CM Punk's "pipe bomb" may have been defused just six days before Night of Champions, but the situation between he and his opponent, Triple H, has grown more explosive than ever.

Triple H and CM Punk faced off before Night of Champions (WATCH |PHOTOS)
Technical difficulties, audio problems, microphone malfunctions. Whatever you call it, CM Punk couldn’t seem to get a word in edgewise as he and Triple H engaged in a combustible verbal confrontation. The Second City Savior’s microphone suddenly shorted out just as he was about to express something he’d been dying to say to The Game. The scenario was reminiscent of Punk’s now famous diatribe against Triple H, Mr. McMahon and WWE when his mic also quit in the run up to SummerSlam.

A livid Punk cast his suspicions on WWE’s Chief Operating Officer, who had a working microphone in his hand. After watching one mic go belly up, The Game offered The Second City Savior his mic. Just as he revved up his verbal engine, though – you guessed it – the second mic failed on him as well. Triple H summoned a third mic from ringside and handed it over. Punk, however, used it to clobber The King of Kings before leaving the ring. While WWE’s COO seethed inside the square circle, his antiestablishment rival scowled back at him from the entrance ramp. The very personal animus between Punk and Triple H, who must resign as COO if he loses Sunday, is primed to blow in a No Disqualification Match at Night of Champions.

Hugh Jackman to appear as special guest star on the WWE Raw Supershow next week (WATCH | WWE.COM EXCLUSIVE: SNEAK PEEK)
He’s one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, and next week Hugh Jackman will debut in one of his most exciting roles to date as special guest star on the WWE Raw Supershow.  The star of the upcoming sci-fi action film Real Steel, Jackman will get the party started just one day after Night of Champions.

Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes def. World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in a Non-title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton has seen better days. The Viper entered into a rematch with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes hoping to gain momentum going into Night of Champions. Instead, any drive Orton may have felt came to an alarming halt. As he battled Rhodes in the non-title match, his Night of Champions opponent, Mark Henry, pulled up a chair and watched from atop the entrance ramp. During the bout, though, The World’s Strongest Man began an ominous walk toward the ring. As the frightening figure drew closer, Orton took his eyes off the Intercontinental Champion, who cracked him in the skull with his face mask, causing The Viper to flatten on the canvas.

After Rhodes’ victory, Henry stalked into the ring and drove the steel chair upon which he was sitting onto Orton’s back. He then snatched the World Heavyweight Champion’s title and held it aloft, vowing to capture it from Orton this Sunday.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Vickie Guerrero (WATCH | PHOTOS)
U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger could use a timeout. The petulant pair clashed as Dolph stood at ringside to support manager Vickie Guerrero in her match against Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. Unfortunately for Vickie, Swagger ran down and smacked his blond rival, distracting WWE’s resident cougar. As a result, the Divas Champion made easy work of her rival.

After the chaos cleared, Beth Phoenix marched to the ring and attempted to level an unsuspecting Kelly. The Divas Champion, however, nailed her Night of Champions adversary before she could attack.

John Cena & Bret Hart def. WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez (WATCH | PHOTOS)
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio may be gutless, but he’s not senseless. As he and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez faced off against John Cena & Bret Hart in a tag team match, The Mexican Aristocrat tucked tail and ran. Six days before facing Cena at Night of Champions, Del Rio tagged in Ricardo, who had entered the ring for his first-ever match, and scampered up the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, his hapless lackey suffered both an Attitude Adjustment and a painful Sharpshooter on his way to a team loss.

Jerry Lawler & Sheamus def. Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Since their defeat last week at the hands of Jerry “The King” Lawler & Zack Ryder, Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga have been eager for their rematch. That fervor turned to frustration after learning that Long Island Iced-Z could not compete thanks to Mark Henry, who rocked him on SmackDown. Instead, Lawler recruited someone less tan but a lot more intimidating: The Celtic Warrior. McGillicutty & Otunga were none too pleased when Sheamus emerged for the match – and with good reason. The ferocious Irishman dominated the former WWE Tag Team Champions, helping secure the win for himself and Lawler.

The Miz def. WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The conspiracy continues – at least in the warped minds of R-Truth and The Miz. The two continued to vent about the supposed mistreatment they’ve received at the hands of WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H just before Miz entered the ring to tackle WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston. With just six days until they and their respective partners square off at Night of Champions, The Cleveland Screamer and the leader of the Boom Squad hit the mat for an intense bout. As the other half of Air Boom, Evan Bourne, and his squirrely counterpart, Truth, looked on from ringside, Miz conquered Kofi when he hit the Skull Crushing Finale, putting the champions on notice for Sunday.

John Morrison & Alex Riley def. U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Vickie Guerrero has her hands full. In addition to United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, WWE’s resident cougar has recently been eyeing Jack Swagger as a client as well. Unfortunately for her, the two don’t play well with others. When they were teamed in a tag match against John Morrison & Alex Riley, the mistrust and jealousy was apparent. As they quarreled with each other, A-Ry & JoMo were quick to take advantage and nail down a win.

Later in the evening, an irate Vickie screeched as SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long informed her that Ziggler must defend his title in a Fatal 4-Way Match at Night of Champions against Swagger, Morrison and Riley.

WWE COO Triple H arranged tag team match (WATCH)
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio is fond of referring to himself as “the greatest of the great,” but as everyone knows, actions speak louder than words. So when The Mexican Aristocrat began gushing about himself, yet again, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart decided to mercifully intervene. On behalf of his fellow Canadians, “Hit Man” informed Del Rio that a true champion fights his own battles and doesn’t take advantage of an injured man. When Del Rio threatened Hart, his Night of Champions opponent, John Cena, thwarted his bravado. The moneyed Mexican then decided to arranged a match pitting Cena against … Ricardo Rodriguez! The Cenation Commander-in-Chief then insisted Del Rio compete against Hart.

Before the situation devolved into chaos, Mr. John Laurinaitis intervened. The Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, on behalf of Triple H, arranged a tag team match pitting WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez against John Cena & Bret Hart.

Not only that, later in the night, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will also take on Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and Triple H will face off one last volatile time with CM Punk before their No Disqualification Match at Night of Champion.

    John Laurinaitis issues a statement
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 09/10/2011 at 10:46 AM

WWE’s website has a new storyline article up looking at why John Laurinaitis was in the limousine with Kevin Nash on Monday’s RAW Supershow. Laurinaitis issued the following “statement” to WWE’s website:

“Kevin Nash is a friend of mine. We have a long history and I’m the one who hired him. I think the circumstances of Kevin’s firing are unfortunate, but ultimately, I don’t make the rules around here. [WWE Chief Operating Officer] Triple H does. As far as the conversation in that limo, as the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, I cannot disclose the nature of any private conversation with our talent in order to protect the integrity of the office. I respect the hell out of Kevin and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Tons of TNA Vs AAA News
Tons of TNA Vs AAA News

As we mentioned earlier, Former TNA wrestler Judas Mesias made his intentions clear that he wanted to face Sting's at the upcoming AAA pay per view. His wish has come true. He will be facing Sting in the upcoming Heroes Inmortales pay per view event.
    • Some websites have been reporting that TNA tag team The British Invasion are set to appear in AAA. This is not true at all. Only Magnus is scheduled to appear.
    • Abyss has been confirmed for the Heroes Inmortales pay per view
    • The following backstage segments were aired during AAA television hyping up both Sting, Abyss, Magnus and the upcoming pay per view. The videos contain racially charged words against certain hispanics ethnicities. Very strange that they would do this considering Konnan previously sued TNA citing racial discrimination. The both videos are in full english with spanish subtitles.

    Bound For Glory Series
The contender with the most points in the series at the end of the night gets a  World Heavyweight Title shot at Bound for Glory.  Going into the night the Leaders were as follows: Bully Ray (49),  Bobby Roode (42), Gunner (42), and James Storm (40).   Bully Ray simply needed to win the match via pinfall or submission in order to continue in the series uncontested.  The other three in the series would require a submission victory to pass Bully Ray if he lost.  Bully Ray won by Disqualification and brought him to 52 pts. requiring the winner of the other BFG Series match to win by submission in order to tie with Bully Ray and stay alive in the series.  The battle between Bobby Roode and Gunner resulted in Roode getting the submission victory and bringing him to 52 pts tying with Bully Ray. After Roode’s win Bischoff dictated there will be a winner in the BFG Series tonight and created a match between Roode and Ray.  In the newly added match, Bobby Roode defeated Bully Ray making him the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory in Philadelphia.
Results from the No Surrender Pay-Per-View

-#1 Contender's Match:  In a very exciting and fast paced match Jesse Sorensen defeated Kid Kash to obtain the #1 contendership for the X-Division Title.

-Bound for Glory Series:  Ray did everything he could prevent the match from beginning. Storm continuously tried to gain the submission victory throughout and at one point Ray spit beer into the eyes of storm to temporarily blind him.  After an intense match, Storm attempted to spit beer in his Ray’s face but instead spit in the referee’s face, which resulted in a disqualification win for Bully Ray (3 pts) putting him in First Place at 52 points and completely eliminating James Storm.

    - Knockouts Championship:  Winter defeated Mickie James to become the new Knockouts Champion!  Angelina Love distracted Mickie James throughout the match, which also distracted the referee and allowed Winter to spit a mysterious red liquid in the face of Mickie James and helped Winter to get the pin and become the new Knockouts Champion.

    - World Tag Team Championship:  Anarquia and Hernandez retained the Tag Team Titles by defeating “The Pope” and Devon.  Anarquia and Hernandez were joined by Rosita and Sarita at ringside. Both Rosita and Sarita attempted to distract throughout the hard fought match.  Because of assistance from Sarita holding down Pope, Mexican America was able to get the pinfall and retain the Tag Titles.

-Matt Morgan defeated Samoa Joe.  A heated match that involved absolutely brutal blows from both wrestlers.  After taking Joe out with the Carbon Footprint Morgan got the pin fall victory.

-Bound for Glory Series:  At the start, either contender needed a submission victory in order to stay alive in the BFG Series.  After an epic battle that went back and forth, Roode was able to submit Gunner to get the submission win and gain 10 points to tie with Bully Ray at 52 points.  Bischoff entered at the end of the match and created a new match between Bully Ray and Bobby Roode to settle the series to happen tonight.

-X Division Championship:  Austin Aries dominated at the start of the match but Brian Kendrick would not back down and caused Aries to dive face first from the ring into the guardrail.  After a very physical match Aries took out Kendrick with a brain buster that allowed for him to get the pin and become the new X Division Champion.

-Bound For Glory Series:  (Newly added Match) Bully Ray used the same tactics he utilized early in the night with controlling the pace at the start of the match by going in and out of the ring.  Roode seemed to be unaffected by Bully Ray’s chops and made his distaste for Bully Ray known which mentally got to Ray.  Mind games continued between the two throughout the match.  After Roode dropped a massive Spinebuster on Ray, Roode got the pin to become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title.

-World Heavyweight Championship:  At the beginning of the match Anderson and Sting worked together to take apart Angle. With Angle out of the ring Sting and Anderson faced off.   Angle came to and took out Anderson outside of the ring and went to face off with Sting until Anderson returned and it became every man for himself.  After Hogan interferes and sprays Sting’s eyes with something, Angle is able to take out a disoriented Sting with and Angle Slam and get the pin to retain the World Title.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The list of broken bodies in Mark Henry’s wake continues to grow. With just nine days until Night of Champions, Zack Ryder, Ezekiel Jackson and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton all felt the wrath of The World’s Strongest Man.

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Once former Legacy allies, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes went to war in the night’s main event. After countering the Cross Rhodes, Orton went on to drop the masked Superstar with an RKO for the win. But the action was far from over.

Similar to the close of last week's Steel Cage Match, the massive Mark Henry had Orton in his sights. This time, though, Orton decided to strike first. But The World’s Strongest Man quickly fired back, driving Orton to the canvas with two World’s Strongest Slams. Then after grabbing a steel chair, the No. 1 contender perched above the champion with his title in hand – and Orton’s throat preciously positioned under the chair. With the champion gasping for air, Henry clearly proved his dominance. But instead of inflicting more damage – including breaking Orton's leg – Henry said his main objective is the World Title. At Night of Champions, can he accomplish his ultimate goal? (PREVIEW)

WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston def. Jinder Mahal & The Great Khali (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Still reeling after a high-powered offense from WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, Jinder Mahal took out his frustration by yelling at and smacking The Great Khali. Enraged by Mahal’s actions, Khali shoved him … right into Kingston's Trouble in Paradise. After starring down at his fallen tag partner, Khali exited the ring. Even more flustered, Mahal shouted at The Punjabi Giant as he simply sauntered away from the ring.

Sheamus def. Wade Barrett by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
As Sheamus and Wade Barrett went toe-to-toe in a cutthroat bout, Christian came calling. His sneak attack on Sheamus resulted in an immediate disqualification. Then before he knew it, Sheamus found himself the victim of a 2-on-1 onslaught. But The Celtic Warrior battled back, dropping Barrett with a Brogue Kick. Christian appeared to be heading for a similar brutal end, but managed to escape the Celtic Cross and run from the ring.
Sheamus drove Christian out of the ring (PHOTOS)
Give him credit. Christian just won’t give up. After he rattled off his latest list of complaints and declared he deserves one more World Heavyweight Championship Match, Sheamus interrupted. After The Celtic Warrior compared Christian to a mangy dog, he demanded he leave the ring. After sizing up his critic, Christian reluctantly obliged.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Natalya (WATCH | PHOTOS)
From the start, Natalya looked well on her way to victory over  Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. But, the champion managed to counter a Sharpshooter and wrap up the Diva of Doom with small package for win. After the bell, Beth Phoenix tried to get her hands on Kelly Kelly, but the champion proved too quick and eluded her grasp.

Sin Cara def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Displaying his continued aggressive style, Sin Cara got the pinfall over Tyson Kidd using a combination of athletic maneuvers off the ropes. When prompted by Josh Mathews for comments after the win, Sin Cara uttered his first words in WWE: “… Ever since I started here in the WWE, I've held back out of respect for the other people. Now that I'm here ... nobody’s gonna stop me … this style and this aggression, it's me... the real Sin Cara.”

After Sin Cara’s words, Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Byran came to the ring looking for some retribution for being kicked in the head last week by the international sensation. But when he suggested a rematch next week, Sin Cara responded by locking him in his own signature move – the LeBell Lock. As Sin Cara showed no remorse, it took WWE Official Charles Robinson to help break the hold.

At a hulking 309 pounds, Ezekiel Jackson looked like he might be the man to finally stop Mark Henry’s path of destruction. But the former Intercontinental Champion could not get the job done. Displaying his power and dominance, Henry sent the massive 300-pounder to the canvas with the World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Mark Henry inducted Zack Ryder into the “Hall of Pain” (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When Zack Ryder, Assistant to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, refused to say he thought Henry would beat Orton at Night of Champions, he sensed he might be in trouble. But when Henry said that since he was forbidden from touching Orton – he’d have to put his hands on somebody – Ryder knew he was in for pain. Trying his best to avoid the inevitable, Ryder struck first. But he proved no match for his larger foe, who demolished him with the World’s Strongest Slam.
