World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstars Stevie Richards and Colin Delaney, Raw tag team Robbie & Rory of The Highlanders, SmackDown Diva Cherry, and WWE referee Wes Adams as of Aug. 15, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all their future endeavors.

Jeff Hardy def. United States Champion Shelton Benjamin - DQ - United States Championship Match
Natalya & Maryse def. Divas Champion Michelle McCool & Maria
The Brian Kendrick def. Scotty Goldman
    Triple H def. Kenny Dykstra
    Big Show def. Ryan Braddock
    Vladimir Kozlov def. Festus

NORFOLK, Va. – Just two days before the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer, the WWE Universe stood witness to the calculating actions of a mad man, wondering if a legend would emerge to answer his wild taunts.

In anticipation of his match with the reinstated Undertaker in Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, Edge continued his personal reign of terror on his wife, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero.

Following last week’s Con-Chair-To to best man Chavo Guerrero, the unprotected Vickie clung to Diva Victoria, fearing both her crazed husband and his SummerSlam foe. When she tried to escape her impending doom, the Master Manipulator cut her off at the limousine pass and took her on a wild wheelchair ride that ended ringside.

The deranged Edge screamed at his wife to apologize for all that she did to The Phenom. He then showed his insane defiance of The Deadman by attempting to call him out right then and there. But, when Undertaker didn’t appear and Edge realized he would be forced to wait for SummerSlam to fully unleash his unchecked rage, he promised Guerrero that it would be the “purest form of Hell.”

    Returning the favor
Just one week after The Great Khali sent a devastating message to WWE Champion Triple H with his vicious Vise Grip, The Game answered back with authority. Ranjin Singh started things off by joining Jim Ross and Tazz while the Punjabi Giant watched The King of Kings decimate Kenny Dykstra. Things quickly got out of hand, though, when Triple H “borrowed” Singh to entice his mammoth adversary into the ring. Although he failed to deliver a Pedigree on his No. 1 contender for the second week in a row, The Game sent a powerful message of his own by knocking Khali off his feet and out of the ring. (watch) Will the WWE Champion find his stride and take Khali down at the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer this Sunday on pay-per-view?

Third time is not a charm
Montel Vontavious Porter attempted, yet again, to interfere in his SummerSlam opponent Jeff Hardy’s match, this time against United States Champion Shelton Benjamin. MVP’s plan ultimately backfired, however. After giving the high-flying challenger a huge victory in the title match over the Gold Standard by disqualification, Hardy rose above his adversary, delivering a Twist of Fate to MVP before hitting both him and the champion with Swanton Bombs. (watch)

    Devilish Divas
For the second time in recent weeks, Natalya & Maryse found themselves victorious in tag team action over Divas Champion Michelle McCool & Maria. Although the All-American champion and her partner seemed to have had the match well in hand, McCool allowed herself be distracted by Maryse one time too many, opening the door for Natalya to pick up the win.

    A future full of attitude
After reminding the WWE Universe that he is the future of the sports-entertainment and getting his advisor Ezekiel Jackson to utter his first words to the SmackDown audience in agreement, The Brian Kendrick executed an impressive assault on Scotty Goldman in the Superstar’s debut match. Afterward, Jackson dished out his own physical form of “advisement” on the newcomer. (watch)

    A Gigantic debut
Big Show wrecked swift havoc on Friday night, sending a pulverizing welcome to swaggering newcomer Ryan Braddock. The World’s Largest Athlete has been a force to be reckoned with since his return earlier this year, and his stock continues to rise as he piles up the victories.

    Moscow meets the Midwest
For months now, the imposing Vladimir Kozlov has captured win after win over every Superstar he has encountered in his search for “better competition.” He finally found what he has been looking for in the form of Festus. The Moscow Mauler engaged in a fierce battle with the Corn-fed Colossus before saving his undefeated streak with a raging head butt from the East.

NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAY'S TNA WRESTLING "iMPACT!" BROADCAST ON SPIKE
The road to the September "No Surrender" Pay-Per-View begins

There are several news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" on Spike as TNA heads towards the September 14 "No Surrender" Pay-Per-View event:

    - TNA Management Director Jim Cornette announced that Samoa Joe will be defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the Pay-Per-View in a "Four Ways To Glory" match. Qualifying for the bout will take place on "iMPACT!", with Booker T facing Rhino on Thursday in the first bout.

    - Samoa Joe wouldn't explain how he got ahold of that familiar guitar he used to beat Booker T at Hard Justice, however he did say that things were about to "get interesting" in TNA and that "everybody wants in on the fun".

    - Later in the broadcast, Joe and Kevin Nash defeated Team 3D in tag team action, however, Joe snapped after the match and used a steel chair on Brother Devon - causing referee Earl Hebner to reverse the decision and give the win to Team 3D!

    - Christian Cage and Rhino defeated The Rock N' Rave Infection

    - Kurt Angle put out a gold medal challenge to AJ Styles to main event the broadcast, with his Olympic gold medal on the line. During the bout, the lights went out and when they came back on, Angle was holding Sting's bat which he was going to use on "The Phenomenal One". But, the lights went out again - and this time AJ had a guitar when they came back on! AJ used the guitar to beat Angle - winning his Olympic gold medal!

    - "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan defeated Johnny Devine. After the bout, Team 3D hit the ring to attack Morgan, but Abyss came out to make the save.

    - In the latest "Karen's Angle", The Beautiful People introduced their newest associate "Cute" Kip.

    - In an upset, newcomer Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal after using a spike he had hidden in his boot. After the bout, "The Guru' Sonjay Dutt came out to attack Lethal. It was also revealed that Lethal and SoCal Val haven't spoken since Hard Justice.

    - TNA Knockout Women's Champion Taylor Wilde defeated Christy Hemme with Traci Brooks as special referee. After the bout, Awesome Kong hit the ring and challenged Wilde to an impromptu fight. Wilde obliged, but Raisha Saeed got involved, leading to Gail Kim coming out to help Taylor.

    - The LAX's Hernandez (who was out for revenge after Beer Money injured Homicide at Hard Justice), defeated "Cowboy" James Storm in singles action.

Bobby Heenan said to be in very bad shape

    Credit: WrestlingEpicenter.com

WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is not doing too well health wise these days as his health is said to be deteriorating‏, according to a report on www.WrestlingEpicenter.com, a site that has interviewed a number of wrestling stars over the past few years. The WWE Hall of Famer's health is so bad that one source told the website that he does not believe Heenan will make it another month. The source said Heenan is now having trouble remembering the people around him. Heenan has been in a Tampa, Florida area hospital since December. He was first put in due to reconstructive surgery on his jaw, after the first surgery was unsuccessful. Heenan was placed in a medically induced coma and was slowly brought out. In late January, Bobby Heenan was brought out, but was unable to speak. He was also in line for some more surgeries to reconstruct his facial features.

MEER UITLEG OVER DE ONTSLAGEN BIJ WWE

As for the release of Big Daddy V, he was told some time ago to lose weight and apparently didn't do enough in his time off.

News on the release of James Curtis was rather quiet as he was in developmental for a long time and had a recent string of matches on ECW in a jobbing role. He wasn't well regarded among anyone besides Dusty Rhodes and with Rhodes no longer on the booking team, it pretty much killed his chances.

In regards the Braden Walker/Chris Harris release announced last Thursday, it was a rather quick release as he just made his TV debut in early July for ECW. His situation has been described as a guy who had a string of great matches in TNA and when he got to WWE, they were down on him and suddenly he didn't know how to work that style. The talk within WWE was that he went out there like a guy whose confidence was beaten out of him in his matches on ECW. Harris was said to have had a lot of heat on him to begin with in how he carried himself backstage, but no one can really pinpoint if he did one thing to cause that reaction among the wrestlers. One assumption is that he might have carried himself as if he had done something in the wrestling industry already in his time with TNA in the America's Most Wanted tag team with James Storm and in WWE, that is a big strike against you to have had some success elsewhere unless you come in and admit right away that what you did didn't count. The overwhelming opinion was that Harris didn't do well in his debut TV match with Armando Estrada on ECW and didn't come across well on his pre-tapes either.

The release of Domino wasn't a huge shock to many after the Deuce and Domino tag team was broken up during the draft. He reportedly realized his limitations and might have been too forthcoming about them, especially when he was overheard saying that he knew Deuce would be the star of the tag team once they broke up. The funny thing about that now is since being traded to Raw, we haven't heard much from Deuce at tapings or on house shows.

Shannon Moore's release was made public a few hours before WWE officially announced it as Moore issued a statement on his official "MySpace" page. Moore was always described as a solid talent in the ring, but reportedly struggled in pre-tapes. The likely feeling was that the company had no real plans for him despite a re-debut in the early days of the new ECW on Sci Fi. Moore owns a tattoo shop in North Carolina that will be his primary business and is working with Bill Behrens to get booked on the indy scene. It should be noted that Moore is friends with Jeff Jarrett, which was how he got into TNA in the first place. However, the odds of him returning to TNA could be slim as on his way out of TNA in March 2006 he pinned AJ Styles on TV (a move that was second-guessed) and then got word to WWE that he was not working under contract with them and got a deal.

Not much to add on the release of Nunzio. He was described as a good worker, but they continued to bury him on the ECW brand and didn't have any major plans for him.

The release of referee Nick Patrick was interesting as he had been out of action undergoing back surgery and was expected to return soon. When he was gone, WWE hired several new referees. A few days after Patrick had underwent back surgery, he was in a car accident (he was reportedly rear ended) and suffered injuries and was back out of action again. The feeling is that WWE wanted younger guys in the referee role that weren't banged up. Patrick has been around wrestling for close to 30 years.

    CARLITO WIL WEERAL WWE VERLATEN
Carlito's long-term future with WWE appears to be in doubt again. While he's worked a few live events, he still has yet to debut on television on SmackDown since the draft seven weeks ago.

Once again, he has talked with friends about a release from the company. In his homeland of Puerto Rico, he can do what he wants and be the top singles star in WWC. However, business isn't too good at the moment and he'd be going from working in front of thousands of fans to a few hundred. The last time Carlito talked about departing from WWE, he had talks with the AAA promotion in Mexico about coming in as a full-timer, where he could be a top heel.

Regarding a possible jump to TNA, he has supporters there as he has worked with booker Dutch Mantel in the past not to mention that the company is looking to expand to the Hispanic audience. Should he depart from WWE, Carlito should also do well in the U.S. indies as well as the NWE promotion based out of Europe featuring a slew of "name" stars.

    WWE released three developmental wrestlers

    Charles "The Hammer" Evans

WWE released three developmental wrestlers today - Charles "The Hammer" Evans, Matt O'Neal and Brad Attitude.

Evans had been in developmental since 2006 and had worked a few dark & house show matches for WWE. He appeared at WrestleMania this year as a part of Floyd Mayweather's entourage. Evans looked like a prime candidate to get called up to WWE at some point, but he never made it.

Regarding the other two releases, Matt O'Neal and Brad Attitude, they're so obscure, not too many people even knew they were under contract to WWE. I don't think O'Neal or Attitude have ever competed on a Florida Championship Wrestling show. Nonetheless, O'Neal is a former football player WWE scout Ty Bailey hired sometime ago. Brad Attitude has appeared as an enhancement worker on WWE television a few times over the years, losing to the likes of Bobby Lashley and Mark Henry.

Spoiler: 2 New Debuts Set For WWE SmackDown
Posted by Andy Steven on 08/13/2008 at 11:08 AM

World Wrestling Entertainment developmental talents Colt Cabana and Jay Bradley made their WWE television debuts at this week’s WWE SmackDown tapings. Cabana worked as Scott Goldman and Jay Bradley worked as Rick Braddock.

It is believed that this is the first appearance the two stars have made on WWE television as signed talents. Cabana signed a WWE developmental contract last year while Bradley has been signed to a WWE developmental contract since 2005. They have both worked with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

Randy Orton Speaks Out On Motorcycle Accident

Randy Orton Speaks Out On Motorcycle Accident

The following was posted on Randy-Orton.com last night:

"i was ran off the road last night at 1030 by a car that had its hi beams on and was veering into m lane during a sharp turn a the top of a hill near my home. i had no choice but to crash, and was thrown 300 feet from the concrete block that sent me flying. i was traveling about 30 miles per hour. i'm lucky to be alive. i have some pretty severe skinned up areas such as my left knee right foot, and left shoulder trap. wwe. com should be posting that it wasn't 30 feet but 300 soon. i just called and bitched em out, for the typo. i was wearing a helmet, and if not for that i would have without a doubt been a goner. i see what the extent of my rebroken collarbone is tommorow. ill let you all know. the bike was a harley fat bob, and it was a rental. it is totaled.im happy im alive, and that the bike wasn't mine. all i could think about was my daughter and samantha. God was definetly watching over me!!

    rko"

As we mentioned yesterday, there are rumors circulating that this accident is merely a work and that WWE is planning to surprise viewers with an early Orton return. It should be noted, however, that this is ONLY a rumor, and at this point the story should be treated as a legitimate accident. We will have more on this as it becomes available.

Huge rumor: Mick Foley to TNA?

Huge rumor: Mick Foley to TNA?

    Source: TheSun.co.uk

The Sun out of the UK is reporting a close friend of Mick Foley has informed them that the hardcore icon is headed to TNA Wrestling when his WWE contract expires on September 1st.

Foley’s friend told the Sun, “Mick's body cannot handle a full time schedule, even in TNA. But he's hell bent on doing everything he can to further his legacy and put them on the map.

The friend added, "Mick's plan is to wrestle select dates, like Sting currently does. He feels he will legitimately make a big difference in the way TNA Wrestling is perceived by the public!”

Back in 2005, Foley was in talks wih TNA and was very close to signing with the company before he wound up back in WWE. He did not work this week's SmackDown! tapings.

    Tommy Dreamer def. Colin Delaney
    Evan Bourne def. Bam Neely
    Finlay def. Armando Estrada
ECW Champion Mark Henry & Matt Hardy def. John Morrison & The Miz

NORFOLK, Va. – SummerSlam opponents joined forces in the ring on Tuesday night, as ECW Champion Mark Henry & Matt Hardy faced John Morrison & The Miz on ECW on Sci Fi. Hardy, the No. 1 contender for ECW gold, dominated the match, as a frustrated Henry stood by hoping to tag in. Hardy hit Morrison with a brutal Side Effect off the top rope, leading to the pin for the win.

After the bell rang, Henry attacked Morrison & The Miz, looking for revenge for last week's "Dirt Sheet" debacle on ECW on Sci Fi. After referee Wes Anderson and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas held the World Strongest Champion's arms in the air to honor the tag team victory, Henry also congratulated Hardy. But the celebration ended quickly when Henry delivered a devastating World's Strongest Slam to the No. 1 contender, directly into the ECW Championship, sending a serious message to his SummerSlam opponent. Will Hardy recover before SummerSlam on Sunday? Will Henry continue to dominate as ECW Champion? Find out this Sunday at SummerSlam, at 8/7 CT, live and only on pay-per-view. (WATCH)

Also on ECW, Tommy Dreamer met his former protégé-turned-traitor, Colin Delaney, in an Extreme Rules Match. The ECW Original’s shopping cart full of Extreme weapons – including a kendo stick, steel trash can and traffic signs – only added to the painful beating inflicted to young Delaney, who turned on his mentor weeks ago, costing him a chance at the ECW Championship and later helping Armando Estrada earn an ECW contract. Dreamer defeated Delaney with a brutal DDT into a stop sign, but has he truly stopped the antics of Delaney? With another loss under his belt, has Delaney finally learned his lesson?

Armando Estrada toasted to his new ECW contract with General Manager Theodore Long and Long’s assistant, Tiffany, but the celebration was cut short when the GM informed Estrada that he’d be facing Finlay immediately. Estrada is now 0-1 as a newly contracted ECW Superstar, picking up his first loss to the man who loves to fight as Mike Knox looked on. After his victory, Finlay urged Knox – who recently told Finlay he’s gone soft thanks to his relationship with his son, Hornswoggle – to come down to the ring, but a scowling Knox didn’t budge, and eventually walked away without a physical confrontation. Will these two rivals ever meet in the Extreme ring?

Finally, Evan Bourne’s hot streak continued on ECW when he defeated Bam Neely for the second week in a row, this time in singles action. The young, quick-thinking high-flyer, who arrived in the Land of the Extreme as part of General Manager Long’s New Superstar Initiative, beat the odds once again by defeating the much-larger Neely, who was not at 100 percent due to being attacked by Edge last week on SmackDown. Neely, the bodyguard of Chavo Guerrero, was ordered by his boss to compete, despite his concussion, which only helped the already strong Bourne win with another impressive shooting star press off the top rope. Will anyone be able to stop this daring, unpredictable new Superstar?

    William Regal def. Jamie Noble.
Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. John Cena & Batista to become the World Tag Team Champions.

RICHMOND, Va. - Though SummerSlam is less than a week away, Raw was the site of big changes on Monday, with the contents of Kane’s mysterious burlap sack finally revealed, and the World Tag Team Titles changing hands for the second week in a row.

    Simply vindicated
The week before saw the team of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase lose their World Tag Team Championship to the unlikely duo of John Cena & Batista, scheduled to be opponents at the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer. On Monday night, the young Superstars exercised their rematch clause. Taking advantage of the friction between the SummerSlam opponents, the priceless pair managed to regain their titles. The loss served to further exacerbate the tensions between Cena & The Animal, as the night’s show came to an end with the two brawling with one another. (WATCH)

    Mysterio solved?
In another one of his “Adamle Originals,” Raw General Manager Mike Adamle set a SummerSlam match, but decided to have it take place on Raw that very night. Adamle pitted two of Raw’s biggest stars against each other: Kane and Chris Jericho. During the match, the Raw GM and his security began making moves for the mysterious burlap sack that the Big Red Monster has carried to the ring with him lately. In spite of Kane’s protests, Adamle had promised that the bag’s contents would be revealed to the WWE Universe that very night. While the Big Red Monster was distracted by trying to protect his bag, Chris Jericho hit his opponent with the Codebreaker and pinned Kane. (WATCH)

After the match, Adamle approached Kane, telling him that he knew the bag contained the Big Red Monster’s old mask. Kane admitted that there was indeed a mask in the bag, and that the person it belonged to had been scarred and severely damaged, but when he opened the sack, it wasn’t Kane’s mask, but that of Rey Mysterio. (WATCH)

    Cheap shot
Though he’ll challenge World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk for his title this Sunday at SummerSlam, on Raw, JBL challenged the champion to a contest the self-proclaimed “wrestling-god” knew the Straightedge Superstar couldn’t win. When Punk entered the ring, JBL revealed what the contest was: a drinking competition. For Punk to win, he would need to drink a shot of alcohol, which runs counter to his ideals and principles. Stating that he makes his own rules, the Straightedge Champion took the shot and threw it in the face of the self-made millionaire before beating his SummerSlam opponent to the ground.

    Fight like a girl
Another SummerSlam match will see Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix compete against Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston & Women’s Champion Mickie James in a Winner Takes All Match, where the winning team will take both the Intercontinental and Women’s titles. On Raw, Santino escorted his ladyfriend to the ring where The Glamazon made quick work of Kelly Kelly. Following the match, as the Braggadocios Italian Superstar urged Phoenix to do more damage to her beaten opponent, the couple was interrupted by Kingston and James, who ran down and chased them from the ring.

Stating that he needed to practice wrestling against women, Santino challenged Mickie to a match, which the Women’s Champion quickly accepted. However, being in her hometown wasn’t enough motivation as Mickie was overpowered and defeated by the Italian with a little outside help from The Glamazon. (WATCH)

    Culture clash
Cryme Tyme also competed on Monday night against the returning team of Scotsmen, The Highlanders. Though Robbie & Rory of were eager to prove themselves after their short hiatus, they were no match for the teamwork of Shad & JTG, who picked up the win.

    A Noble loss
Another recently-returned Superstar, William Regal, competed against Jamie Noble. The week before, Noble had attacked Regal for interrupting Layla’s dance performance, and he hoped to continue to prove himself to the dancing Diva by defeating the British brawler on Raw. Unfortunately for Noble, that didn’t pan out, as Regal battered the smaller Superstar and won the match.

Full Details On Randy Orton's Motorcycle Accident

Full Details On Randy Orton's Motorcycle Accident
Posted by Andy Steven on 08/11/2008 at 09:36 PM

    The following is from WWE.com:

Randy Orton was involved in a motorcycle accident near his home Sunday night that could have ended his life were he not wearing a helmet.

Orton, who has only been riding motorcycles for a month, said he was riding around a sharp curve on a steep hill home when an oncoming car veered into his lane causing him to widen his turn.

Orton then struck a curb and was thrown from his bike. He collided with the ground, knocking him unconscious. In his words, Orton "bounced and rolled just under 300 feet, landing in a ditch."

"When I came to, I knew I had rebroken my collarbone," said Orton. "When the police and fireman got there, they asked me 'Where's the guy who was in the wreck?' and I said 'It was me.'"

Orton, who was wearing just shorts and a sweatshirt, only sustained the rebroken collarbone.

"Without a helmet, I would be dead," said Orton. "Now that I have a newborn daughter, so much was going through my head."

Although the initial prognosis is that Orton will not need surgery, this injury will set him back an additional three months before he can return to the ring.

Orton did have one final message for his fans ... "I will ride again."

    Breaking news: Randy Orton re-injured?

Randy Orton was recently involved in a motorcycle accident, re-injuring the collarbone that has kept him out of action since June, reports WWE.com.

Orton will be out of action for an additional three months as a result of the re-injuring of his collarbone.

While it is probably legit, we can't rule out the possiblity that this is a swerve by WWE similar to John Cena's injury from last year followed by his surprise return at the Royal Rumble.

    TOMKO TERUG NAAR WWE ?

Tomko making his way back to WWE?

    source: the wrestling observer

It appears that Tomko decided to quit TNA after he felt that his TV time was being limited and his push was being scaled back. He felt misused in the company and decided to quit following the Tuesday, July 29th Impact taping.

Many feel Tomko hurt himself in the eyes of the company when he missed a "FanFest" the day before a PPV to take a date in Japan with IGF even though he was told by management not to go. As a result, he was suspended for 30 days and his push was cut way back. He was said to be visibly disappointed when he wasn't booked for TV after this took place and then made the decision to quit. He is already booked for the August 15 IGF show at Sumo Hall.

It should be noted that WWE has been interested in him since he started getting over in TNA. Tomko left WWE on good terms telling them he would rather go to Japan and up his game and come back in a few years instead of stay in WWE and not get much ring time to improve. It remains to be seen if he has a non-compete term in his deal with TNA, but many won't be surprised if he ends up returning to WWE.

KENNEDY KAN 4 TOT 6 MAAND UIT ZIJN

Mr. Kennedy might be out of action for six months

Ken Kennedy has posted the following on his website concerning his injury which took place this past weekend at a Smackdown brand house show:

"At our recent house show in Georgia, I did indeed dislocate my right shoulder after taking Shelton (Benjamin's) finisher," he wrote. "I basically landed with my arm stretched across my body. My body weight, his body weight, and the force that he applied in delivering the maneuver caused my shoulder to pop right out of the socket.

"I'm going to tell you right now, it was honestly the most painful thing that I have ever endured in my life up to this point. (Aside from watching a Great Khali promo.) I was able to get some relief in the locker room after being held down by two people while a doctor pulled, twisted, and popped it back into place. The pain immediately went from a 10 to 1, and I was so relieved that I actually started laughing."

Kennedy also explained how long he'll be out of action. "I have a torn labrum, which basically is a muscle in the shoulder joint that holds everything in place," Kennedy continued. "I also have some damage in the rotator cuff muscles, but it's from the accumulative effects of being in the ring for ten years. I'm going to spend the next two weeks in Pensacola doing two-a-day rehab sessions...

"After two weeks, Doc (James) Andrews will assess my progress and determine if I have to have surgery or not. If not, I'll have an additional 2 to 4 weeks before I can return to the ring. If surgery is required, I'll be out for 4-6 months."
