Full Details On Randy Orton's Motorcycle Accident Posted by Andy Steven on 08/11/2008 at 09:36 PM
The following is from WWE.com:
Randy Orton was involved in a motorcycle accident near his home Sunday night that could have ended his life were he not wearing a helmet.
Orton, who has only been riding motorcycles for a month, said he was riding around a sharp curve on a steep hill home when an oncoming car veered into his lane causing him to widen his turn.
Orton then struck a curb and was thrown from his bike. He collided with the ground, knocking him unconscious. In his words, Orton "bounced and rolled just under 300 feet, landing in a ditch."
"When I came to, I knew I had rebroken my collarbone," said Orton. "When the police and fireman got there, they asked me 'Where's the guy who was in the wreck?' and I said 'It was me.'"
Orton, who was wearing just shorts and a sweatshirt, only sustained the rebroken collarbone.
"Without a helmet, I would be dead," said Orton. "Now that I have a newborn daughter, so much was going through my head."
Although the initial prognosis is that Orton will not need surgery, this injury will set him back an additional three months before he can return to the ring.
Orton did have one final message for his fans ... "I will ride again."
Randy Orton was recently involved in a motorcycle accident, re-injuring the collarbone that has kept him out of action since June, reports WWE.com.
Orton will be out of action for an additional three months as a result of the re-injuring of his collarbone.
While it is probably legit, we can't rule out the possiblity that this is a swerve by WWE similar to John Cena's injury from last year followed by his surprise return at the Royal Rumble.
It appears that Tomko decided to quit TNA after he felt that his TV time was being limited and his push was being scaled back. He felt misused in the company and decided to quit following the Tuesday, July 29th Impact taping.
Many feel Tomko hurt himself in the eyes of the company when he missed a "FanFest" the day before a PPV to take a date in Japan with IGF even though he was told by management not to go. As a result, he was suspended for 30 days and his push was cut way back. He was said to be visibly disappointed when he wasn't booked for TV after this took place and then made the decision to quit. He is already booked for the August 15 IGF show at Sumo Hall.
It should be noted that WWE has been interested in him since he started getting over in TNA. Tomko left WWE on good terms telling them he would rather go to Japan and up his game and come back in a few years instead of stay in WWE and not get much ring time to improve. It remains to be seen if he has a non-compete term in his deal with TNA, but many won't be surprised if he ends up returning to WWE.

Ken Kennedy has posted the following on his website concerning his injury which took place this past weekend at a Smackdown brand house show:
"At our recent house show in Georgia, I did indeed dislocate my right shoulder after taking Shelton (Benjamin's) finisher," he wrote. "I basically landed with my arm stretched across my body. My body weight, his body weight, and the force that he applied in delivering the maneuver caused my shoulder to pop right out of the socket.
"I'm going to tell you right now, it was honestly the most painful thing that I have ever endured in my life up to this point. (Aside from watching a Great Khali promo.) I was able to get some relief in the locker room after being held down by two people while a doctor pulled, twisted, and popped it back into place. The pain immediately went from a 10 to 1, and I was so relieved that I actually started laughing."
Kennedy also explained how long he'll be out of action. "I have a torn labrum, which basically is a muscle in the shoulder joint that holds everything in place," Kennedy continued. "I also have some damage in the rotator cuff muscles, but it's from the accumulative effects of being in the ring for ten years. I'm going to spend the next two weeks in Pensacola doing two-a-day rehab sessions...
"After two weeks, Doc (James) Andrews will assess my progress and determine if I have to have surgery or not. If not, I'll have an additional 2 to 4 weeks before I can return to the ring. If surgery is required, I'll be out for 4-6 months."

ATLANTA One by one, The Family found some of its members mysteriously unconscious with black roses next to their motionless bodies. First it was big Bam Neely in the Philips Arena loading area, then it was WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins in the locker room. Concerned about who was to blame and more importantly, who was next Chavo Guerrero convinced Vickie Guerrero that they needed Edges help.
But instead of helping his family members, Edge turned on them in a maniacal outburst that left his new bride in a ball of tears and his best man the recipient of a ruthless steel Con-Chair-To.
After the hellish carnage, the Ultimate Opportunist explained his malevolent metamorphosis by saying, Mick Foley was right. This is the Edge that needs to step into Hell in a Cell. SummerSlam preview
Khali: 1, The Game: 0 With their SummerSlam title match looming, WWE Champion Triple H took on The Great Khali in a risky Indian Broken Glass Arm Wrestling Contest. But before a winner could be determined, the Punjabi Giant head butted the champion and crushed his head with an overpowering Khali Vise Grip. (WATCH) Despite the outcome of this battle, The Game vowed to break both of Khalis legs at SummerSlam. SummerSlam preview
MVP screws Hardy again It was a match of North Carolina vs. South Carolina natives, as Jeff Hardy (from NC) took on United States Champion Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match. Throughout the bout, the Gold Standard keyed in on Hardys injured left leg that was still nagging him from his Saturday Nights Main Event match with Edge. Things were looking good for Hardy when he unloaded on Benjamin with a Twist of Fate, followed up by a Swanton Bomb. But just like on Saturday, MVP came out of nowhere to kick Hardy in the head. The Ballin Superstars interference caused the bout to be ruled a No-Contest. Both Superstars are now on a collision course for SummerSlam. SummerSlam preview
Diva mettle In the spirit of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, SmackDown hosted a special Six Diva WWE Olympic Tag Team Match. The unique encounter pitted Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Maria & Cherry against Natalya, Victoria, & Maryse. In the end, Natalya proved her mettle and earned her team the win by forcing Maria to submit with a well-executed Sharpshooter. (WATCH)
Ultimate opportunists Before Curt Hawkins mysterious bout of unconsciousness in the locker room, he and Zack Ryder squared off earlier in the night against Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore in a non-title tag match. With the ref distracted toward the end of the bout, Hawkins & Ryder seized the opportunity and delivered a double DDT to Moore. Ryder capitalized and picked up the pinfall over Moore.
Moscow mauled In perhaps his first words spoken in English over a WWE ring microphone, Vladimir Kozlov said, I am undefeated. I demand better competition, before facing Jesse. In the end, Jesse did not provide what Kozlov was asking for. After Jessed launched himself from the top rope onto Kozlov, he was met mid-air with a hard-hitting head butt from the Moscow Mauler. The stifling blow enabled Kozlov to pick up another commanding victory.
Breaking backs, taking names With Ezekiel Jackson at his side, The Brian Kendrick picked up a pinfall over Super Crazy, thanks to a distraction from his massive associate at ringside. And just like last week on SmackDown, Kendricks opponent was the unfortunate recipient of a crushing backbreaker after the bell. (WATCH)
Umaga apparently got hurt sometime within the last week. We don't know the exact injury at the moment. He missed Tuesday's SmackDown taping as a result.
Lance Cade may be out of action. He broke his nose during a match at last Saturday's Raw brand house show in Evansville, Indiana. He wasn't on Raw this week, likely as a result of the injury.
WWE is looking to get as much out of The Great Khali while they still can. The belief is that he won't be with the company for the long haul due to his ailing knees, as they continue to give him problems. Khali was said to not be too aggressive in rehab during his last round of knee surgeries. Nowadays, Khali struggles to get around and people are questioning his long term future in the business.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Braden Walker as of August 7, 2008. WWE wishes Braden the best in all future endeavors.

WWE.com has officially confirmed Ric Flair's departure from the company. Here is the statement they released:

TNA Knockout Suffers Serious Leg Injury Posted by Randy Gordon on 08/03/2008 at 04:36 PM
TNA Knockout Raisha Saeed, or rather, the woman underneath the Burqa, Melissa Anderson, suffered a serious leg injury on Thursday during a routine workout at her local gym, reports ChickFight.tv. Anderson appears on Chickfight shows and she informed them that she needs to stay off the leg for 7 to 10 days and that any travel is out of the question. This could force her to miss the next set of Impact tapings a little over a week from now. Chickfight had no choice but to remove Anderson from today's show in Ipswich, UK.
New reports indicate that Mick Foleys current WWE run could conclude at SummerSlam. Foleys contract is set to expire soon and its unknown whether he will move forward as the SmackDown color commentator.
There are some lingering hard feelings between Foley and Vince that stem from the WWE chairman coming down hard on him while producing him through the headsets. One incident in particular occurred a while back when Foley was still working with Michael Cole and got so bothered by what Vince said to him that he called him later that night. The word going around backstage is that Vince has toned things down while producing Foley since then, but Mick is still bothered by the way he and other announcers have been treated.
Vince is notoriously tough on his broadcasters and the feeling is that Foley was never exposed to that side of him during his wrestling days.
Right now the ball is in Foleys court, as WWE definitely wants to keep him under contract. The feeling is that Foley will only re-sign if hes having fun and wont have to put up with Vinces maniacal rants on the headsets, otherwise he just might walk away. Its said that he is in a very financially secure position and sees no reason to continue working every week if hes not having fun.
Foley is expected to appear at WWEs SummerSlam PPV this year in some capacity, and if he decides to leave the company, it may just be his final WWE appearance.
ATLANTA The groundbreaking WWE.com sensation, The Dirt Sheet, made history once again by broadcasting for the first time live on ECW on Sci Fi. In honor of the monumental occasion, co-hosts John Morrison & The Miz welcomed none other than ECW Champion Mark Henry accompanied by Tony Atlas and No. 1 contender for the ECW title, Matt Hardy.
However, when the former WWE Tag Team Champions tried to mince more than just words with Henrys Extreme challenger, Hardy was more than happy to retaliate. And just when it looked like the excitement could grow no bigger, Morrison accidentally punched Henry, causing The Worlds Strongest Champion to temporarily align himself with his SummerSlam opponent in order to take out both of the outspoken Dirt Sheet stars. (WATCH)
Also on Tuesday night, Mike Knox continued to antagonize Finlay, this time with a verbal assault that indicated The Man Who Loves to Fight had become nothing more than a joke since teaming with his son, Hornswoggle. But when The Belfast Brawler came out to the squared circle to personally answer his charges even going so far as to turn his back to give his adversary a free chance to attack Knox, at least for the moment, decided to change his tune, leaving the ring while staring down Finlay and his son.
In a match that ECW General Manager Theodore Long deemed his final opportunity for ECW Superstardom, Armando Estrada finally earned an ECW contract by defeating Tommy Dreamer. The controversial victory came after the ECW Originals former protégé, Colin Delaney, ran to the ring to distract his former mentor. As a result of Delaneys ringside antics, GM Long has decided to place him in an Extreme Rules Match against Dreamer next week. (WATCH)
In other ECW action, a very solid Braden Walker who came to ECW as part of GM Longs New Superstar Initiative continued to make an impact in the Land of the Extreme by conquering another capable newcomer, James Curtis.
After last weeks post-match attack on Ricky Ortiz, swift justice was served to Chavo Guerrero & his bodyguard, Bam Neely in Extreme tag team action. The explosive combination of Ortiz and the high-flying Evan Bourne reigned supreme over Guerrero & Neely in a whirlwind contest. The two ECW newcomers proved to be in complete sync as a tag team, as Ortiz disposed of the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior, allowing Bourne to roll up Neely to pick up the big win for the young Superstars.

World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase to become the new champions.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. After citing the bad first impression he made with the WWE Universe, new General Manager Mike Adamle executed a plan to turn things around on Raw. Eager to impress, the new GM set up a few Adamle Originals, including a headliner for SummerSlam as well as three title matches for that very night, one of which saw John Cena & Batista become the new World Tag Team Champions.
Gold-bonded Though they will face one another for the first time at SummerSlam, John Cena & Batista were forced to compete as a team against World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. In spite of the fierce animosity between the Chain Gang Commander and The Animal, the two men managed to overpower the champions, and ended Raw in a shaky alliance with new championship gold around their waists.
Gold Rush Though John Cena and Batista are no doubt happy about becoming World Tag Team Champions, the title they, like much of the Raw Roster, have their eyes on is CM Punks World Heavyweight Championship. Adamle was confronted early in the night by JBL and Chris Jericho, who both desired an opportunity to compete for the gold. In order to determine the No. 1 contender, Adamle made a 2-on-1 Handicap Match pitting World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk against JBL & Chris Jericho, with the Superstar making the pin earning a title opportunity. The Straightedge Champion was no match for the combined might of these two veteran competitors and was pinned by JBL, who will now face Punk for Raws richest prize at SummerSlam.
Shows stopper One of the reasons Y2J claimed to deserve No. 1 contender status was his match against Shawn Michaels at The Great American Bash, in which Y2J severely injured The Showstoppers eye. In an exclusive interview from Michaels home in San Antonio, an ailing HBK stated that while he has certainly been better, the jury is still out on whether his career is over. Not only is Michaels suffering from a detached retina, but his ribs, broken at WrestleMania 24 and reinjured at The Great American Bash, are also in very bad shape. The iconic Superstar will have one more evaluation from his doctor, and will find out the results the Friday before SummerSlam. Michaels plans to attend the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer regardless of what the news is, appearing in person to deliver it to the WWE Universe.
Winner takes all In the first of the nights three title matches, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston defeated Paul Burchill to retain gold. After the match, when Kingston chased Paul away from the ring, the brutal Englishmans sister, Katie Lea, was left in the ring by herself. She was soon joined, however, by WWE Womens Champion Mickie James, beginning the nights second title match. Mickie defeated Katie Lea to retain her championship gold, but before she could leave the arena, the Womens Champion was attacked by Beth Phoenix, accompanied by what appears to be The Glamazons new beau, Santino Marella.
After the match, both The Glamazon and the Italian Superstar confronted Adamle about their desires for championship matches at SummerSlam. Hoping to satisfy both competitors, Adamle created another match for the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer: A Winner Takes All Match between Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston & WWE Womens Champion Mickie James and Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix, with both titles going to the winning team.
Let the cat (?) out of the bag On Monday night, GM Adamle also put Matt Striker in his first match since joining the Raw brand. Unfortunately for Striker, that match was against the maniacal Kane, who ran roughshod over his opponent. Following the match, the Big Red Monster took hold of a microphone and admitted that he has been in a bad place lately, referencing his string of brutal assaults on in-ring competitors and announcers alike. Holding up his mysterious burlap sack, Kane assured the WWE Universe that whoever he is, is dead and not coming back.
While Kane seems more at peace with whatever, or whoever, is in his enigmatic burlap bag, its still a mystery to the rest of the WWE Universe. Hoping to endear himself to the WWE Universe, GM Adamle announced that next week on Raw, he will solve the mystery of Kanes burlap sack, ordering the Big Red Monster to disclose its contents.
Chivalrys not dead In another act aimed at pleasing the WWE Universe, GM Adamle had Layla perform one of her special dances in the ring. Before our fans could get their fill of eye-candy, however, William Regal stormed to the ring, interrupting Laylas show and dismissing her as a tart. Earlier on WWE.com, Layla rebuffed the advances of the tenacious Jamie Noble, explaining that she doesnt associate with losers, but that couldnt keep Noble from rushing to the ring to defend the Divas honor. The diminutive Superstar assaulted Regal, battering the British brawler until they were separated by referees.
