Todd Grisham is leaving WWE to take a job with ESPN. Grisham finished up with WWE at tonight's NXT taping. Here is what William Regal wrote on Twitter in regards to Grisham's departure:
"I would like to thank @todd_grisham for all his help get me through NXT.Best wishes for your new career at ESPN."
Maryse announced this afternoon on Twitter that she will be undergoing abdominal hernia surgery on Wednesday.
"Pre-Op appointment today, blood work, MRI, ects. lots of fun especially cause im waiting here eating a cupcake and drinking a latte!" said the former WWE Divas Champion. "i am getting my my abdominal hernias repair tomorrow, finallllyyyyy!!!!"
Maryse last competed on the July 25 episode of Raw. She was advertised to compete in the following week's No. 1 Contenders Diva Battle Royal, but bowed out after determining days earlier that she would undergoing surgery.

The opening video aired, and Todd Grisham and William Regal checked in on commentary. They tossed it up to Matt Striker. Striker tried to do his bit, but Darren Young interrupted him and said he was tired of Striker. Striker said they both had jobs to do, but Young cut him off. Young said his job has been beating Striker. He told Striker to get out of the ring.
Striker asked what he wanted. He said he would admit he couldn't beat Young. Young said he wanted Striker to admit Young was the future. Striker stalled and then said Young was the better man. He said he was the past, but Young was the future. He offered his hand to Young. Young shook it, but kicked him in the gut. Young hit a clothesline, and then William Regal ran him off before he could do moreâ¦
Backstage, Tyson Kidd found his locker trashed. He started bitching and cleaning it up. He hung up a travel bag for hanging clothes, and the weird Japanese (?) symbols we have seen around Kidd were on itâ¦[C]
1. Trent Beretta defeated Tyson Kidd 14:52. A "Let's go Tyson," chant broke out. They traded early rest holds with Kidd getting the cheers and Beretta getting the boos. Beretta hit a dropkick out of the air on Kidd for two, and the cut to commercial with no lead outâ¦[C]
Back from commercial, Kidd hit a kick from the floor to the ring on Beretta. He followed up with a neckbreaker from the ring to the floor in a very nice spot. They ran a great Frankensteiner, roll through, Sharpshooter tease, roll-up near-fall that popped the crowd good. Very, nicely done.
Kidd locked in the single leg crab that made the crowd pop. Beretta made the rope. The video screen lit up with the Japanese symbols. Kidd waited for something, but nothing happened. He turned around into Beretta's tornado DDT/slice bread combo for a Beretta victoryâ¦[C]
The announce team setup a video that recapped Maxine returning last week. And then my feed froze. When it came back, Maxine was whispering something in Derrick Bateman's ear and walked offâ¦AJ and Hornswoggle made her entranceâ¦[C]
2. Maxine (w/Derrick Bateman) defeated AJ (w/Hornswoggle) at 6:21. Regal said something about this being Grisham's last night soâ¦Breaking News? AJ clotheslined Maxine and Maxine made the cover. I'm confused. Bateman shoved Horny to the floor and that distracted AJ. Maxine rolled her up by surprise for the win. Post-match, Titus O'Neil ran in to scare Bateman and Maxine awayâ¦[C]

After last night's RAW ended here in Edmonton, The Miz and R-Truth ran down to help Alberto Del Rio on the beatdown to John Cena and CM Punk. Punk and Cena fought back, hitting their finishers on Truth & Miz while Del Rio goes to the floor. Punk got Del Rio's scarf and Ricardo Rodriguez was sent in to get it back. Punk teased Ricardo like a matador and then nailed him with a GTS followed by an Attitude Adjustment from Cena.
They did the cheer-off from RAW that they did a few weeks ago and Punk got way more cheers than Cena. Cena raised Punk's arm high and left while Punk hung around for the fans.

- There has been discussion within WWE lately about the company looking to see what cruiserweight or light heavyweight talents are out there and signing them to developmental deals.
It hasn't been confirmed yet that WWE will be doing a full-fledged revival of the cruiserweight division but they are interested in bringing talents who fit that bill. The idea is that cruiserweights will give guys like Evan Bourne or Sin Cara someone to work with and would add a quality of wrestling to WWE's undercard.
This goes back to Triple H and changes he is making as he slowly takes over day-to-day control of the company.

Rey Mysterio announced on Monday afternoon that the results of his recent MRI test revealed that he will in fact need surgery to repair his knee, which has already undergone surgery before.
Mysterio tweeted the following message in Spanish on Monday:
"Buenas tardes. Siento mucho el tener que dejarlos sin mi presencia en el ring por UNOs meses! Sirugia8/26 le pido a dios qca la ultima!619!"
For those who do not speak Spanish - Mysterio's next knee surgery is scheduled for Friday, August 26th and he will be out of action for several months.
Mysterio followed up with another tweet, apologizing for letting his fans down:
"Sorry4 the let down! Promise to make it back as soon as possible!Gonna miss what I luv most-ENTERTAINING U's!619"

TNA star Matt Hardy has issued another statement to his fans, following up on Monday's message where he talked about being "reborn with an absolute pure life force" and feeling the "blood of an angel flowing inside of him" during Saturday's DWI car crash in North Carolina.
Hardy tweeted on Tuesday morning at @MattHardyBrand:
"Thx 2 all who have reached out 2 me recently, 167 text message, near 100 emails, 38 voicemails, & 17 missed calls-I'll return them all. Thx!"
"And I couldn't have made it w/o my loved ones dragging to a hospital, that includes Jeff & Beth Hardy & my baby Reby. Thank u all so much."
Goldberg denies rumors that he will sign with TNA.

Buckle up, WWE Universe, this ride just took a wild turn.
John Cena def. CM Punk (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | PHOTOS) An already tangled web of deceit surrounding the WWE Championship has grown into a snarled jungle of falsehoods, half-truths and backstabbing. As John Cena and CM Punk clashed for the opportunity to face WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions, The Mexican Aristocrat and Mr. John Laurinitais added to the intrigue by sitting at ringside to observe the match.
Once the bell sounded, Punk and Cena continued their animosity unabated, both colliding with and countering each other. And then another curious thread was woven into the already contentious tapestry. Kevin Nash emerged inside the arena, distracting The Second City Savior and allowing The Cenation Commander-in-Chief the victory.
Interesting. Especially since Mr. John Laurinitais had informed Triple H that Nash, his longtime friend, had been in a car accident while driving to the airport prompting The Game to leave the show in Laurinitais hands.
The tumultuous turn of events prompted more questions than answers. For instance, did Mr. John Laurinitais really receive a phone call informing him Nash had been in a car accident, or did he just want to get Triple H out of the arena? And is the current WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio, mixed up in the deceptions?
The Miz & R-Truth attacked Santino Marella (WATCH | PHOTOS) R-Truth is out there. And unfortunately, he seems to be taking The Miz with him. The two C-O-N spiracy theorists attacked Santino Marella prior to his bout with Zack Ryder and then proceeded to bellyache about how they were headlining pay-per-views not long ago, but now theyre not even on Raw anymore. The odd couple then vowed they were no longer content to simply wait for opportunities. No, instead, they were now going to take them.
Mr. John Laurinitais told Triple H that Kevin Nash was in a car accident (WATCH) A frantic Mr. John Laurinitais delivered word to WWE COO Triple H that his good friend, Kevin Nash, had been involved in a car accident. The Executive Vice President of Talent Relations relayed to The Game, who had argued with Nash just minutes before, that Canadian authorities informed him the former WWE Champion had been taken to a nearby hospital. The WWE COO rushed to be by his friends side and entrusted the show to Laurinitais.

The aerial assault team overcame the distinct size advantage of David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty with a combination of agility, athleticism and an uncanny chemistry. The defeat caused the former Nexus disciples, who had defeated Big Show & Kane for the titles, to pitch a fit in the middle of the ring. The surprising victory has proven that both The Dreadlock Dynamo & Air Bourne are men of substance as well as style. Triple H confronted Kevin Nash; CM Punk got laid out (WATCH | PHOTOS) For Triple H, it was high time to clear the air. During his first pay-per-view as WWE COO, The Games good friend, Kevin Nash, had attacked newly-crowned WWE Champion CM Punk, allowing Alberto Del Rio to coast to a WWE Title reign after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
In the wake of the scandal, Nash explained that hed received a text from Triple Hs phone instructing him to stick the winner of the WWE Title Match. WWEs COO confirmed that the text did, in fact, come from his phone, but he insisted he was not the sender before vowing to uncover the identity of the real culprit.
Before The Game could finish his pronouncement, though, CM Punk emerged to challenge his version of the truth. When hostilities between Triple H and Punk became heated, Nash intervened with a cheap shot across Punks jaw. The blow crumpled The Second City Savior and ticked off The Cerebral Assassin, who left the ring in a huff followed by Big Daddy Cool.
Alex Riley def. Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) If Jack Swagger is hoping to turn his luck around by employing Vickie Guerrero, The All-American Americans plan just hit a snag. As Swagger battled Alex Riley, WWEs resident cougar watched from ringside to scout her potential new client. Her current associate, U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler, however, was clearly suffering jealousy and confronted her. When Vickie stumbled backward and tripped over her stilettos, Swagger rushed to her aid. As he climbed back into the ring, though, Riley was waiting with a devastating move to finish off his adversary.
Eve def. Nikki Bella (WATCH | PHOTOS) After having to listen to some rather scathing commentary from the Divas of Doom, Natalya & Beth Phoenix, Eve must have channeled her anger and energy directly into the ring. And her opponent, Nikki Bella, experienced the painful effects. With Divas Champion Kelly Kelly cheering her on, the lovely Latina put the hurt on the Bella twin despite her sister Bries attempt to interfere.

John Morrison (WATCH | PHOTOS) In his first title defense against Rey Mysterio, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio put The Master of the 619 out of commission with a serious injury requiring surgery (STORY). This week, in a non-title match, Del Rio failed to put his opponent, John Morrison, on the shelf, but he did slip by with an impressive victory over the unpredictable Superstar.
WWE COO Triple H announced CM Punk vs. John Cena main event match (WATCH | PHOTOS) As the controversy surrounding the WWE Title continues to loom over Monday Night Raw like a dark, ominous cloud, Triple H decided to exert his control, raining on the parades of both CM Punk and John Cena. The WWE COO interrupted the pair, who had been squabbling over which would get to invoke their rematch clause first and challenge current WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio.
As The Game reminded them, its not they who decide when their rematch clauses get invoked its Triple H himself. The COO then announced that former WWE Champions Punk and Cena must face off in the nights main event, with the winner earning a title match against The Mexican Aristocrat at Night of Champions in four weeks.

Rey Mysterio had been under the impression that he torn his ACL and MCL. Going into the match with Alberto Del Rio on last Mondays RAW, the idea was to take things easy but Rey tore his bad knee up very bad on a baseball slide. The latest from someone close to him is that he may be out of action for months and months, and will most likely need the surgery now.
Before the bad news from Monday came out, Rey was expecting to work through with more rehab.

North Carolina's Fayetteville Observer has released new information regarding Matt Hardy's car crash and subsequent DWI arrest on Saturday afternoon.
According to a North Carolina police officer who was at the scene, Matt Hardy was not drunk, but "appeared to have taken some type of impairing substance" at the time of his car crash.
Hardy was said to be "traveling more than 55 mph but less than 70 mph" when he crashed his Corvette into a a tree.
Hardy was not injured from the crash. Hardy submitted to a blood test (with results currently pending), was arrested, and charged with driving while intoxicated and "exceeding safe speed."
The "impairing substance" that Hardy was under the influence of is not known at this time, but should be made public once the results of the post-arrest blood test he took are made public.

Hardy then hinted that he could be heading back to the WWE while responding to a fan's comment that he should return to the company.

Prowrestling.net is reporting that Hardy is expected to appear in court on September 28
Goldberg posted the following message on his Twitter account: "By the way......... I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!." He then quickly followed it up with, "It ain't WWE, they can kiss my ass." It's very possible we'll see Bill Goldberg face Dave Batista on the wrestling supershow taking place in the African Congo. We'll keep you posted as we get more.
Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde, the original Sin Cara, returned to action at Saturday's SmackDown! live event in Tacoma, Washington.
Alvirde is eligible to resume performing since his thirty-day suspension for his first violation of WWE's drug testing policy expired on Tuesday. He claimed in an interview that he did not know what he had tested positive for and that he had only gotten a routine injection for his injured knee in Mexico.
Alvirde's future with the organization was believed to be in doubt since developmental talent Jorge Arias (a/k/a Hunico) assumed the Sin Cara character at the last two SmackDown tapings. There was talk that the move would be permanent since company officials were reportedly sour on Alvirde due to his attitude and lackluster performances.
Shane Helms has posted several messages on Twitter in defense of his longtime friend. He has directed numerous obscenity laced messages to users who disagree with him and also attacked TMZ.com for breaking the news of Hardy's arrest.
"TMZ, a site that profits off the mistakes and downfalls of human beings. How proud they must be. What a bunch of maggots," he wrote. Uhm, didn't the dude crash his car and get a DWI Shane?!
Hardy's girlfriend Reby Sky has also reacted to Hardy's unfortunate twist of fate. She wrote on Twitter, "It hurts to see anyone I love hurt in any way but I have faith that all will be ok. Regardless of what happens. Thanks for the support."
Following his arrest Saturday in North Carolina for driving while intoxicated, Matt Hardy has been released from his contract with TNA Wrestling.
In a statement released to TMZ.com, an unnamed TNA spokesperson stated, "TNA today released Impact Wrestling star Matt Hardy from its roster. Hardy was already under suspension from the company."
According to sources within TNA, plans were in place for Matt and Jeff Hardy to return to television in October. Jeff's status with the company remains unchanged since TNA will be releasing a slew of merchandise in the fall bearing his name including a video title.
Hardy joined TNA last January after being released by WWE in October 2010 following a series of events that caused him to be sent home from a company tour of Europe. Hardy walked out of a SmackDown live event on September 5, 2010 after officials voiced concern over his condition. During the subsequent weekend's European tour, Hardy's condition caused the organization to act. When the story broke online, Hardy responded with a rambling video claiming it was untrue because he was still in Europe. WWE, however, confirmed to NewsDay.com on September 12, 2010 that he had been sent home. He never wrestled for the organization again and was released from his contract a few weeks later.
Hardy stated last week on Twitter that his time away from the ring has been a blessing in disguise as it allowed him to completely clean up his life. He added Friday, "It's time for me to get back to a healthy, happy place, the transformation his now started for me, for us-(New Chapter Will begin new)"
