Crimson and Goldberg exchange jabs over Twitter

Crimson had this to say directly to Goldberg:

    Quote

while you were gettin stretched by @IAmJericho I was dodging bullets for this country... #whosnextnotme #destroyinglives

    Goldberg responds with:

    Quote

    @OfficialCrimson Who are you again????

As a sidenote, a couple of days ago Goldberg retweeted this comment by a fan:

"Sorry Crimson, a spear w/out a Jackhammer just sucks."

And, I guess, that's what started it all.

Update on Chris Masters & TNA

Update on Chris Masters & TNA

Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters joined Chris & Nick Live on vow live, discussing his recent release from WWE and what may be next for him. In the interview, he spoke about the possibility of going to TNA:

    Quote

I was already thinking to myself, maybe I need to start reaching out and seeing what else is out there – let’s just be frank. But I didn’t do it. And it’s funny because then you fast forward to weeks later and then this happened. Obviously, I’m taking bookings, but yeah, I’ve reached out to some people over at TNA and we’ll just see what happens with that. There’s of course the 90 day thing with WWE, but I’m not really going to rule out anything this time around.

Matt Striker starts the show in front of a table and a bowl of eggs with three spoons. He announced that there will be an egg relay contest. Darren Young cuts him off and says that he wasn't here to play an egg relay contest. Striker ignores his outburst and continues to carry on the introductions, until Young cuts him off again and says that he can't cut it in the ring.

Striker simply replied that he's happy doing what he's doing right now, and that Young shouldn't worry on his past, instead to worry on his own future. After that verbatim, Young clocks Striker in the face, and leaves after challenging him to a match.

Backstage, Tyson Kidd was asked to comment about facing Justin Gabriel. Kidd then went on to saying that he was the greatest graduate of the Hart Dungeon, and that he was better than all the legends that came before him out of the esteemed Dungeon. He then concluded by saying that he would show Gabriel why he's the best tonight.

Justin Gabriel versus Tyson Kidd: Very strong match, very good opener. Lots of back-and-forth action, with the added caveat that both Kidd and Gabriel elevated their game to new heights. After a 15-minute match that saw both kidd and Gabriel throw everything but the kitchen sink, Gabriel hits an STO, followed by his signature 450 Splash for the win.

Darren Young versus Matt Striker: This match was disatrous, for the simple fact that it demonstrated how out-of-shape Matt Striker is against Darren Young. After bleeding from the nose, he hits a Gory Bomb. That was the only highlight he made in the match, as it turns out to be not enough. Young scores a neckbreaker off the apron, an overhead belly-to-belly suplex which led to Striker bleeding, and scored a win by hitting his modified full nelson facebuster.

Daniel Bryan, current SmackDown Money in the Bank winner, encounters his protege, Derrick Bateman... playing a WWE video game. This led to some stern lecturing from Bryan to Bateman, telling him that Bateman's making a fool of himself. He ended his speech by saying that if Bateman didn't figure out who he is, that he's on his own.

Titus O'Neil (with Hornswoggle and AJ) versus Derrick Bateman: Even though Bateman got that stern talking from Bryan, it did him no good in a match that generally stunk. Bateman's only offense consisted of a dropkick and a failed sunset flip attempt that gave O'Neil the opportunity to roll him up for the win. Bateman then attacks O'Neil after the match. He chased after Hornswoggle, with AJ watching on. Hornswoggle escapes Bateman, which led to O'Neil catching Bateman with his Clash of the Titus spinebuster. The assault on Bateman ended with Hornswoggle scoring a tadpole splash. The show ends with AJ, Hornswoggle and O'Neil smiling in the ring.

    tag division boost

    - Triple H is serious on introducing new talents through vignettes and promos. It’s also being said that Triple H is interested in reviving the WWE Tag Team division. Word is that they are really starting to recruit tag teams and see if some names are under contract to other promotions.

There has been talk internally about The Brisco Brothers but they are signed to Ring of Honor. There has also been a lot of talk about TNA’s Beer Money and bringing them in once they are able to get away from TNA.

Regarding the Kings of Wrestling – Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli coming, the talk is that they will indeed be brought in together as a tag team and not singles wrestlers.

    Gail Comments on WWE

    - A fan wrote to Gail Kim on Twitter and said he thought WWE signed her just to bury the competition after her great run in TNA. Gail responded: "but according 2 them (WWE), there is no competition. And if so,then why care about what happens to talent they don't use or want anyway?"

Gail also wrote that she likes Triple H but that "Vince McMahon is still in charge."

What Happened After RAW (Punk, Cena, HHH)
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 08/08/2011 at 11:44 PM

Credit to PWTorch.com for this live report of what happened after RAW went off the air:

After Raw went off the air, Triple H took the mic and Cena and Punk went at it. They didn't announce if it was a title match, but the ref held up both belts to start.

WWE champion John Cena vs. WWE champion C.M. Punk ended in a Double DQ when Truth and Miz ran in. Cena and Miz used the Attitude Adjustment and GTS to send them packing. The two champions stared each other down in the ring and raised their belts. Cena exited, staring Punk down from the ramp. Punk left the ring and the night ended.

SAN JOSE — With only six days to go before WWE Champion John Cena faces WWE Champion CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, Triple H made it clear that there will be only one titleholder at the end of the night. The lengths WWE’s new COO went to tonight in order to guarantee a fair outcome shocked the entire WWE Universe.

WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk signed the contract for their Undisputed WWE Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The WWE Universe expected a tense confrontation in this contract signing and that’s exactly what they got. Mediated by Triple H and WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, the summit started off ugly when CM Punk showed a video of The Rock bashing John Cena on Facebook. Tearing The Champ’s catchphrases and clothing to shreds, The Great One made a hilarious mockery of the powerful Superstar.

It was a damning monologue, but one Cena took in stride. After all, The Champ realized some people may have a problem with him, but he’s always been more concerned with the fans that are in his corner. Since 2002, the WWE Champion has been a proud and hardworking Superstar who gives every bit of his energy to positively representing the company. And while Cena was busting his hump, Punk was off complaining that he didn’t get fair treatment.

It was a strong argument that Triple H respected, but The Second City Saint was quick to strike back. Accusing The Champ of being a failed bodybuilder who settled for a career as a sports-entertainer, Punk claimed that he worked harder to get to where he is than Cena ever could. On Sunday, The Straight Edge Superstar would prove this by beating his rival in the center of the ring.

Undeterred, Cena made it clear that if Punk fails on Sunday he’ll be nothing more than a one hit wonder. With tensions now at a boil, both Superstars agreed that the talking had gone on long enough and stood face-to-face. But when Punk took a swing at The Champ, he connected with Mr. Laurinaitis instead. It was a melee from there with Punk and Cena brawling in the ring while the COO attempted to pull them apart.

When The Game finally got some order, the tattooed titleholder stood on the outside of the ring looking in at Triple H and The Champ. In that unique moment, there were two WWE Champions. Come Sunday, there will be only one.

R-Truth def. John Morrison (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After spending more than three months on the sidelines with a serious neck injury, John Morrison finally had the opportunity to go one-on-one with the man who put him there — R-Truth.

Looking to get a receipt on the dangerous Superstar, The Guru of Greatness came at Truth with a flurry of unpredictable offense — even leaping out of the ring onto his opponent. It was a thrilling effort from Morrison, but JoMo is clearly still trying to find his feet following his injury. By targeting the neck, Truth was able to debilitate his adversary and win the bout.

Alex Riley def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Some guys just don’t know how to take criticism. Furious with Alex Riley’s suggestion that he drop Vickie Guerrero and succeed on his own merit, Dolph Ziggler was ready to make A-Ry regret his remarks tonight. Bringing the fight to Riley, the brash Superstar seemed destined for victory, but Vickie interfered in the action before either man could triumph.

The loudmouth’s intrusion led to the official giving Riley the win via disqualification. Clearly irritated with the loss, Ziggler bickered with his associate after the bout before the cougar stormed away from the ring in a rage.

Beth Phoenix def. Eve (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Last Monday night, Beth Phoenix shocked the WWE Universe when she brutalized Divas Champion Kelly Kelly after winning a battle royal to become the No. 1 contender to the beauty’s title. Tonight, she made it clear that the attack was no accident.

After smashing the talented Eve, The Glamazon grabbed the microphone and again stated that the era of pretty Divas dominating WWE is over. Yet, just as Beth made her way to the locker room, she was cracked out of nowhere by a fiery Kelly Kelly.

Not one to be intimidated, the gorgeous competitor is definitely ready for Sunday’s showdown with the powerful Glamazon.

WWE Champion CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Irate, but unsurprised by Triple H’s announcement earlier in the evening, CM Punk stated that the COO would be wise to stay out of his way at SummerSlam. But, for now, The Straight Edge Superstar was focused on an immediate challenge — Alberto Del Rio.

Following Cena’s victory over Swagger, Punk knew he had to come up big in his match against The Mexican Aristocrat. After all, how would it look if the controversial competitor was beaten mere days before the biggest bout of his career? Rising to the occasion, Punk was vicious against the Money in the Bank winner, picking Del Rio apart with blistering strikes before putting him to bed with the Go To Sleep. If Cena sent Punk a message before, “the voice of the voiceless” responded here.

The Miz def. Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS)
What was supposed to be a rematch between Rey Mysterio and The Miz quickly spiraled out of control when The Awesome One brutally attacked his rival before Mysterio even had a chance to enter the ring. (WATCH) It was an audacious assault, but The Miz didn’t have much time to gloat as Triple H immediately sent word that the smug Superstar would now face Kofi Kingston.

Before The Cleveland Screamer could protest, The Dreadlocked Dynamo launched himself at his opponent, battering The Miz with his patented controlled frenzy. The rapid attack was nearly too much for the former WWE Champion to handle, but the devious Superstar survived, nailing the Skull-Crushing Finale out of nowhere for the win.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS)
John Cena isn’t the type of competitor who cracks under pressure. Moments after trading strong words with the special guest referee in his Undisputed WWE Championship Match against CM Punk at SummerSlam, The Champ had to lock up with the always dangerous Jack Swagger.

A standout collegiate wrestler and former World Heavyweight Champion, “The All-American American” is not a Superstar to be taken lightly, but Cena didn’t let his opponent’s pedigree intimidate him. Battering the big man before putting him down with an Attitude Adjustment, the West Newbury, Mass.-native sent a clear message to both Punk and Triple H — The Champ is here.

Triple H announced a special guest referee for the SummerSlam main event (WATCH | PHOTOS)
With only six days to go before one of the most important nights in WWE history, Triple H dropped another bomb on the WWE Universe — the Undisputed WWE Championship Match between WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk will have a special guest referee.

Believing that a bout of this magnitude is too important to risk outside interference or underhanded maneuvers, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer revealed that he’s enlisted the help of the one man he knows who can get the job done right — himself.

As if that wasn’t enough to stir up the WWE Universe, Triple H then announced that Cena and Punk will sign their SummerSlam contract tonight.

Is WWE Preventing Former Knockouts Champion From Returning To TNA?

Former TNA knockout Gail Kim has caused quite a stir recently with her resignation from the WWE. Now she gives a bit more insight on the current situation of her release on her Official Twitter Page:

    Quote

I quit last Monday. And apparently after a total of five years of working for a company where I was not utilized or appreciated, I am now, for some reason, valuable enough to keep me under the remainder of my contract so I can't worse elsewhere. Controlling?

TNA X-Division Qualifier Teasing A Return To TV. Could He Be TNA Bound?

TNA X-Divison contract qualifying competitor Tony Nese has been teasing a return to television on his official twitter page noting that soon you will be able to see him on TV. No word whether it will actually be in TNA but it is important to note that he has never made such claims before his match on Impact Wrestling back in July.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – With SummerSlam approaching, World Heavyweight Champion Christian did what some said couldn’t be done – pin WWE’s Apex Predator Randy Orton.

At one point in their bout, Christian ran out into the WWE Universe to avoid an angry Viper who was in hot pursuit. But, when the two finally collided in the ring toward the end of the tag team battle, it was the World Champion who reigned supreme. When R-Truth fell victim to an RKO, Christian seized the moment and dropped Orton with the Killswitch for the win. Is it a sign of things to come when the two bitter rivals meet at SummerSlam? (Preview)

In a fast-paced battle, Michael McGillicutty perfectly served up Trent Barreta for tag team partner David Otunga to drop the elbow and pick up the victory.

Mark Henry def. Vladimir Kozlov (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Mark Henry came right out of the gate with a powerful offense and never looked back. After downing Vladimir Kozlov with The World’s Strongest Slam for the win, he wrapped Kozlov’s leg in a steel chair and dropped his massive frame on his helpless victim. Then from out of nowhere, Sheamus charged the ring, looking to take a swipe at Henry with a steel chair. But Henry quickly avoided a strike and then stared down his SummerSlam opponent from outside the ring. Then in a familiar scene, Kozlov was removed from the ring on a stretcher. Later, Sheamus talked about facing Henry at Summer Slam (WATCH | Exclusive Sheamus interview | SummerSlam preview).

Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson def. Zack Ryder (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In an impressive showing, Zack Ryder held his own against big Ezekiel Jackson. However, the champion eventually asserted his dominance in a big way by repeatedly slamming GM Teddy Long’s assistant to the canvas then punishing him with a session in his Torture Rack.
Zack Ryder made a “State of the Showski” Address (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Attempting to make his mark on Friday nights, Zack Ryder addressed the WWE Universe about his new support role to Long. However, he was quickly interrupted by Jackson, who took umbrage with Ryder pitting him against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a Handicap Match last week. When Rhodes and DiBiase joined in the discussion, Teddy put an end to all of the talk and pit Ryder in a match against Jackson.

Daniel Bryan def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a battle that remained competitive until the very end, Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan made Tyson Kidd tap out using an asphyxiating submission move. Helping call the action at the announce table was Wade Barrett, who said it was a fluke that Bryan won at Money in the Bank.

Natalya def. AJ (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a match pitting mentor vs. protégé, Natalya made AJ submit to the Sharpshooter. But, the powerful blonde wasn’t content with just the win. After the match, she taught AJ another lesson by brutally assaulting her outside the ring. Then, after saying “Beth Phoenix, I’m with you sister,” Natalya crouched over AJ and declared: “The days of the cute, perky little princesses are over”!

Sheamus def. The Great Khali (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Sheamus continued to show just how tough he really is. In a stunning turnabout, The Celtic Warrior escaped The Khali Vise Grip – a move that usually spells the end for most Superstars. Then, using a Brogue Kick to the head, Sheamus took down one of WWE’s largest Superstars. Can Sheamus carry this momentum into SummerSlam against Mark Henry?

Gail Kim Continues to Rant on Twitter About WWE
Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/06/2011 at 01:52 AM

Former WWE Diva Gail Kim continues to emphasize that she quit the company and was not released. "I didn't ask for a release," Kim wrote to TNA Knockout Tara on Twitter. "I QUIT. LOL. Meaning I don't want their money. I'd rather be free."

WWE has yet to confirm that Kim is no longer with the company. As for Tara, she's lobbied publicly for Gail to return to TNA. Tara followed up by writing, "Oops, I mean Impact Wrestling."
