WWE Womens Champion Mickie James def. Katie Lea Burchill (non-title match). Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. Paul Burchill to retain. Beth Phoenix def. Santino Marella in an intergender match. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Kane by count-out (non-title match). John Cena & Cryme Tyme def. JBL & World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase by disqualification
RALEIGH, N.C. At the top of Monday Nights Raw, Shane and Stephanie McMahon addressed the WWE Universe and the unpredictability and confusion that Raw has been embroiled in the past two weeks. Though they promised to take action if things dont change, that didnt prevent another hectic Monday Night Raw, as Kane continued his erratic behavior and the show crashed to a close with JBL appearing to crash a car into John Cena, who was propped up against another automobile. (WATCH)
Priceless Collision Earlier in the night, John Cena & Cryme Tyme had challenged JBL and two partners of his choosing to a Six-Man Tag Team Match. The self-made millionaire went for the best, recruiting the simply priceless World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, after they interrupted Kelly Kelly's pending match and intentionally humiliated Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Even though he handpicked his partners, JBL ended up disqualifying his team in the course of the match. Cena pursued his Great American Bash opponent into the parking lot, where the self-proclaimed wrestling god was waiting to club the Chain Gang Commander with a tire iron. After knocking Cena unconscious, Layfield propped him up and attempted to smash a car into the prone Superstar. Luckily, John Cena managed to escape at the last minute and was only grazed, meaning that Cena vs. JBL will still take place on Sunday night. (WATCH)
The Animal to the Rescue The McMahons' warning also went unheeded by Kane, who continued to puzzle the WWE Universe, coming down to the ring with a mysterious bag and apologizing to Jerry The King Lawler and Michael Cole. Later in the night, the Big Red Monster asked World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to face him one-on-one. But when the two met in a non-title match, Kane was counted out, and subsequently lost control, attacking the Straightedge Champion with a steel chair. Before much damage could be done to Punk, Batista rushed to the ring and attacked Kane to make sure that his Great American Bash opponent was in good shape to face him on Sunday. Batista then sent a clear message to his rival by refusing to shake Punk's hand. The Straightedge Superstar took exception to The Animal's competitive side and shoved his challenger, prompting Batista to plant him with a spinebuster. (WATCH)
Great American Clash Two other Great American Bash opponents also had brutal interactions outside sanctioned matches on Monday: Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. Before Raw could even properly begin, the two mens rivalry devolved into outright physical conflict which was quickly joined by Lance Cade, aiding Jericho in his attack on Michaels. Later in the evening, after Y2J defeated Paul London in singles competition, the Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla had some choice words to share about HBK. The Showstopper came out to the ring in person however, and faced Jericho down one last time before their match on Sunday night, warning him that the worst is truly yet to come. (WATCH)
Quibbling Siblings In a non-title match, WWE Womens Champion Mickie James defeated Katie Lea Burchill, but soon afterward was subjected to the combined forces of Katie Lea and her brother Paul. As Paul grabbed onto Mickie, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston rushed to the ring. The week before, Kofi had been subjected to Pauls post-match brutality, and this week, the Jamaican Superstar suggested an Intercontinental Title Match to settle their rivalry. Though hes still relatively new to Monday nights, Kofi persevered and pinned Burchill in this impromptu match.
Battle of the Sexes Mickie and Katie Lea werent the only Divas to compete on Raw, as Beth Phoenix answered the open challenge of Santino Marella. The Glamazon is known for her strength and physicality, and brought every ounce of it to her contest with the Italian Superstar, pinning him in this rare intergender match. (WATCH)
For the Love of a Woman Though Layla didnt compete, she was the cause of another of the nights unplanned altercations. Jamie Noble, who has been struggling to impress Raw Divas in recent weeks, set his charms to work on the 2006 Diva Search winner, promising to cut the next person he saw down to size. Unfortunately for Noble, the next person to come around the corner was Snitsky. Despite the obvious size difference, Noble stood up to the monstrous Snitsky, insulting him and leading him down to the ring. Unfortunately, Nobles confidence and heart wasnt enough to compete against his giant, nasty opponent, and Snitsky decimated his opponent.
In addition to Devon being injured during the ppv, Kaz's hip was apparently hurting backstage. One could assume it was from the huge leg drop he landed on Daivari. We'll keep you updated, but it isn't expected to be serious.

- In the opening 12 Man World X Cup Elimination Match, it was Alex Shelley of The Motor City Machineguns winning it, beating Yoshino of Team Japan to put Team TNA in the lead going into the final Ultimate X Match later in the broadcast.
- A series of videos aired featuring Booker T at home in Houston, Texas, showing off his regal estate.
- In a Knockouts match, Gail Kim defeated Angelina Love, despite interference by Velvet Sky. After the bout, Velvet and Angelina double-teamed Gail and tried to paper-bag her, but Gail escaped the ring.
- Backstage, BG James and Lauren were with the fans that would participate in the Fans Revenge Match later on
- In a Grudge Match, "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt got the win over "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal after a quick roll-up. Dutt kept telling Val he loved her during the bout, and at one point Val asked Lethal to stop punishing Dutt. However, that gave Dutt the opening to beat Lethal.
- In the Fan's Revenge match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, The Latin American Xchange defeated Beer Money. In the end, Robert Roode got dumped to the outside, where the fans lashed at him with the leather straps. Back inside, LAX double-teamed Roode with Homicide getting the pin to retain the gold.
- TNA newcomer Taylor Wilde surprised Awesome Kong by defeating her AGAIN to retain the TNA Knockout Women's Championship after Taylor used Kong's own weight to get the roll-up pin. After the bout, Raisha Saeed attacked Taylor and threw her back in the ring for Kong, who annihilated the Women's Champion with a piledriver. When Kong attempted a second pildriver on a steel chair, Abyss hit the ring to save Taylor! Abyss ended up nailing the Black Hole Slam on Saeed and then carried off Taylor.
- In the Ultimate X Match, Volodor Jr won the bout to give Team Mexico the win and the World X Cup. Kaz pulled off one of the most amazing moves in TNA history when he hit a legdro from the top of the structure on Daivari. However, by doing that Kaz cost himself the bout, allowing Volodor to pull down the red X! After the bout, Mike Tenay and TNA spanish broadcast Willie Urbina interviewed Team Mexico while a visibly upset Kaz watched on.
- In the Full Metal Mayhem match (as voted for by the fans on our website), the team of Kurt Angle and Team 3D beat AJ Styles, Christian Cage and Rhino after interference by Frank Trigg. AJ Styles had climbed a ladder to come down on Kurt Angle (who was across a table), but Trigg nailed AJ with a kendo stick. Angle hit Styles with an Olympic Slam through the table to get the win.
- In the back, Jeremy Borash interviewed Samoa Joe about the World Title match. Kevin Nash came in to wish Joe luck. Joe asked Nash to stay in the back for the title match.
- In the main event, it was an all-out brawl as Samoa Joe and Booker T went to hell and back. Joe and Booker both got busted open during the bout and were bleeding. Watching on, Booker T's wife Sharmell couldn't stand it anymore and begged for Joe to stop, then slapped him! In response, Joe smashed Sharmell's personal security. In addition, all of the TNA referees (minus Earl Hebner who was injured earlier) got annihilated by Joe, as the match got out of control. Security came in and couldn't stop Joe. Sharmell eventually got in the ring and screamed for someone to help as Joe choked the life out of Booker.
Just then, the lights went out and Sting's music hit! Sting tried to talk sense into Joe, but Joe gave Sting the finger! As a result, Sting smashed Joe with the baseball bat and stood there as Booker T covered Joe and Sharmell made the three count! Sharmell took the World Title from ringside and put it over Booker's shoulder as they left the arena! Joe was out cold in the ring as Sting left as well!
Is Booker T the new TNA World Champion? What will happen between Sting and Samoa Joe? Tune in Thursday on "iMPACT!" to find out!
According to reader Kim Hyman, John Cena announced at the end of the Raw house show in Charleston, West Virginia on Saturday night that the name of his faction with Cryme Tyme is "Cryme Tyme Cenation" when explaining the initials CTC. It will be interesting to see if there is a follow up with the faction on Raw tonight.
Brother Devon injured his right ankle doing a Doomsday Device on Rhino during his tag match at Victory Road. It appears as if he'll be out for some time. I'm sure they looked at it backstage and he'll need to undergo and MRI.
Former WWE Star Signs TNA Contract Posted by Bobby Spade on 07/13/2008 at 12:40 PM
Jeremy Borash appeared on "The Pain Clinic" radio show over the weekend (available at FeelThePain.net) to talk about TNA. During his appearance, he notes that TNA has signed Daivari to a contract, so we're going to be seeing more of him after the World X Cup concludes tonight at Victory Road. When Daivari originally parted ways with WWE last October, one of his goals was to join TNA.
Shelton Benjamin def. United States Champion Matt Hardy (Non-title) Mr. Kennedy def. Domino Finlay & Hornswoggle def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison (Non-title) WWE Champion Triple H def. Chavo Guerrero (Non-title) Natalya & Maryse def. Michelle McCool & Cherry Jesse & Festus def. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder (Count-out) Vladimir Kozlov def. Stevie Richards Edge vs. Big Show (No Contest)
BATON ROUGE, La. Edge & SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero reconciled in front of our fans in New Orleans after the Rated-R Superstar escaped serious injury at the hands of Big Show in a No Disqualification Match.
With Guerrero watching at ringside, Big Show used his size and strength to overpower Edge, and when The Worlds Largest Athlete prepared to deliver a Con-Chair-To to Edge, Guerrero showed her heart still belonged to Edge, stopping the match and protecting the Rated-R Superstar quite the change from the beginning of the night.
The GM had made the match after she had heard enough from her apparently former fiancé, who began the night by telling the world he was happier standing on his own and that Vickie was not good enough for him. The Ultimate Opportunist then said at The Great American Bash, he would prove all his critics wrong and defeat Triple H to win the WWE Championship.
It was then that Vickie Guerrero used her power as General Manager to place Edge into the match, and she had only one thing to say to the Rated-R Superstar, good luck, baby.
Family favor Chavo Guerrero has taken advantage of his relation to Vickie Guerrero on more than one occasion, and on SmackDown, the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior tried to use that bond once more earning himself a match with WWE Champion Triple H. The Game was in top form in his first match on Friday Night SmackDown since being drafted, delivering a Pedigree to Chavo Guerrero to get the win.
Golden standards In a fast-paced, high-flying, non-title encounter, Shelton Benjamin defeated United States Champion Matt Hardy, putting his name into the mix of Superstars who want the opportunity to wear championship gold. The match saw both men taking chances to gain momentum, and when Hardy attempted his patented Twist of Fate, Benjamin blocked it and then took advantage of an over-aggressive Hardy to seal the victory.
Bulldozed Another one of SmackDowns new additions, Mr. Kennedy defeated Domino using the Mic Check, with his former friend MVP sitting at ringside doing commentary. Before the match, Kennedy had referred to himself as, more valuable than MVP, drawing the ire of the flashy Franchise Playa. After the win, Kennedy and the Ballin Superstar exchanged words with each other, and as Kennedy went to leave, Umaga much to the delight of MVP attacked him.
Devious Diva duo Now knowing that she will face Michelle McCool at Great American Bash for the newly created Divas Championship, Natalya teamed with Maryse on SmackDown, intent to send a strong message to McCool. The All-American Diva had Cherry by her side, but Natalya used a Sharpshooter, made famous by her uncle, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, to force Cherry to submit. After the match, Natalya made a statement by laying out McCool on the outside, just feet from the Divas Championship. Will McCool find retribution before the two do battle at The Bash?
Balancing acts In the long-standing rivalry between Finlay & Hornswoggle and the WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison, each team has earned victory at the others expense, giving neither a true advantage. On SmackDown, the back-and-forth battle continued, with the Irishman and his son winning a non-title match when Finlay used the shillelagh and Hornswoggle delivered the Tadpole Splash to Miz.
Bell-ringing retribution Jesse & Festus were looking to right the wrong done to them last week when after their victory, they were attacked by Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder & Edge. With Festus in his stoic state, the duo was left wide open for the vicious attack. On SmackDown, Jesse & Festus once more earned a victory over Hawkins & Ryder, and when Edges cohorts attacked again, Jesse evened the odds by ringing the bell, transforming the corn-fed colossus, who then cleared the ring of Hawkins & Ryder.
Massive mauling The undefeated Vladimir Kozlov continued his impressive streak on SmackDown, when he defeated Stevie Richards. The Moscow Maulers path of destruction has seen Kozlov annihilate anyone he steps into the ring with, using his wide repertoire of offense to remain unblemished. How long will Kozlov carry on the hot streak? Will anyone step up and face the Moscow Mauler?
iMPACT! RESULTS AND VIDEO FOR THURSDAY, JULY 10: STING WILL BE THERE THIS SUNDAY, TAYLOR NEW WOMEN'S CHAMP AND MORE! By Charles Rice
With Victory Road live on Pay-Per-View this Sunday, the stars of TNA pulled out all the stops this week on iMPACT! in hopes having one last swing of momentum go their ways. It was not only an exciting night in the iMPACT! Zone, but a historic one as well.
The night kicked off with Robert Roode of Beer Money inc. taking on one half of the TNA Tag Team Champions LAXs, Homicide in a street fight. In the end there was interference from both Cowboy James Storm and Hernandez after Homicide had been handcuffed and whipped with a belt. This Sunday, in the Fans Revenge match the gold is on the line. But for LAX it will be all about revenge.
At the end of that match Sting was seen staring on from the rafters and TNA fans were promised he would make his return later on in the evening.
In a very exciting and hard hitting match, it was Kip James, Tomko, and X Division Champion, Pettey Williams taking on B.G. James, Matt Morgan, and Eric Young. This match was too big to be contained in the six sided ring and spilled out not only around the ring but in the crowd as well. In the end it was Tomko, Kip, and Pettey that had their hands raised in victory. That was not enough for Tomko and Pettey though. After the match they were about to attack Eric Young with a lead pipe when Abysss music began to play he came out and began attacking Tomko. It looked as if he was about to use the lead pipe when he began to second guess himself. What is going on in the mind of Abyss? That is the question that has been on everyones mind since he made his return at Slammiversary.
With the World X Cup tournament still going on it was Team International picking up a win over Team Japan and Team TNA picking up the win over Team Mexico. All teams will be vying for the World X Cup this Sunday in Houston.
In a very historic match it was TNA newcomer Taylor who made history. Not only did she finally topple the mighty Awesome Kong to win the open challenge and the $25,000, but she also became the new TNA Knockouts Champion. Only time will tell if she is the real deal or not, because Kong will get a rematch this Sunday in Houston.
Before the main event of the night, Booker T called Joe out to the ring where he apologized in advance for what he was going to do to him in Houston. Joe went on to tell Booker that he was going to be sorry for ever calling him out. He went on to say he was going to make him sorry in front of all his friends in family in Houston. Before the two could finish their battle of words, they were interrupted by The Icon Sting. He told them both he would be at Victory Road to watch their match but refused to say why.
Through out the night Kurt Angle had been becoming more and more frustrated with his tag team partners for the main event of the night, The Beautiful People. This is because both Angelina Love and Velvet Sky were more concerned with looking pretty and tanning than getting ready for their match against AJ Styles, ODB, and Gail Kim. In the end it would cost them because it was Kim who picked up the win pinning Velvet Sky.
However, as the three were having their hands raised in victory, Angle and the Beautiful People attacked and it looked like Kurt was going to get the ankle lock on AJ, only to have it interrupted with a low blow from Karen Angle of all people. In the end Frank Trigg came to Kurts aid and he was able to lock on the ankle lock as iMPACT! went off the air.

Finlay def. WWE Tag Team Champion The Miz Braden Walker def. Armando Estrada Evan Bourne def. Nunzio ECW Champion Mark Henry vs. Tommy Dreamer (double count-out)
BATON ROUGE, La. WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas made a special, Extreme appearance on Tuesday night as a guest ring announcer on ECW on Sci Fi during a non-title match between Tommy Dreamer and ECW Champion Mark Henry. While Atlas exchanged words with Henry earlier in the evening, and Dreamer offered Atlas a chance to be in the ECW Originals corner, Atlas proved to be more than a guest ring announcer on Tuesday night.
Dreamer, who was seeking revenge on Henry for beating Colin Delaney, causing the Original to lose a chance at the ECW Title, was crushed by the Worlds Strongest Champion, thanks to help from Atlas. After Delaney attempted to trip Henry, Atlas tossed the youngster into the announce table, distracting Dreamer. The ECW Champ took advantage of the situation, delivering a Worlds Strongest Slam to Dreamer. WWE Hall of Famer Atlas celebrated in the ECW ring with the Extreme Champion. With a Hall of Famer in his corner, who will stop the Worlds Strongest Champ? (WATCH)
Also on Tuesday night, as WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison boasted about their in and out of the ring talents, they were interrupted by Finlay & Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle blasted the WWE Tag Team Champs with a water pistol, and his father attacked them with a shillelagh, much to our Baton Rouge fans delight. Their disruption turned into a match, thanks to ECW General Manager Theodore Long. Finlay continued his winning streak, defeating The Miz, thanks to the help of his sons distraction. Will the father and son duo continue their hot streak or will the WWE Tag Team Champions prevail in this heated rivalry?
Still seething after his loss to Ricky Ortiz last week on ECW, former GM Armando Estrada demanded a rematch against the newcomer. But new GM Long had another thing on his mind ECWs New Superstar Initiative. Long forced the contract-less Estrada to face ECWs newest Superstar, Braden Walker. Once again, Estrada was defeated by another new Extreme Superstar. Will Estrada ever be able to prove himself in the Land of the Extreme? How will successful newcomer Walker affect Tuesday nights? (WATCH)
Finally, Evan Bourne, another ECW Superstar looking to make a name for himself, picked up a win. Bourne faced Nunzio on Tuesday night, and the young high-flyer proved he wasnt bothered by a recent loss to Mike Knox. Bourne, who says he defies the odds by defying gravity, rekindled his confidence after defeating Nunzio with a soaring shooting star. Whats next for this newcomer in the Land of the Extreme?
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms has a cryptic clock posted on his Myspace account. The caption of the clock reads "It's almost time!" This could be an indication that Helms is nearing a return to the ring. For those unaware, Helms has been out of action with a neck injury for over a year. You can visit the Myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/gshelms
Mickie Knuckles - Moose in TNA - underwent successful knee surgery today, reports PWInsider.com. Despite the operation taking longer than expected due to the muscle mass in her leg, doctors successfully placed a titanium rod in to hold the bones in place while it heals.
Knuckles suffered a broken femur bone in her right leg after jumping off a balcony at a local IWA show and despite it being a risky move, reports say that TNA still wants to sign her once she recovers. Her expected time for recovery and rehabilitation is six months, but she should be able to leave the hospital with the support of crutches within the next few days.
Despite being in quite a bit of pain, Knuckles is said to be in high spirits.
Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that TNA has released James Mitchell from the company. Mitchell who is the former manager of Abyss hasn't been on TNA TV since the Against All Odds PPV back in February.
