HAMPTON, Va. – The McMahon Era may have ended, but the Triple H Era has just begun. On The Game’s first night as the Big Man on Canvas, the WWE Universe witnessed the return of a WWE Hall of Famer, an electrifying Superstar and, not one, but two WWE Champions. Actually, three. Oh, yeah, this should be interesting.

John Cena def. WWE Champion Rey Mysterio; CM Punk confronted Cena (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | CM PUNK EXCLUSIVE | PHOTOS | FULL STORY)
The capacity crowd inside the Hampton Coliseum might want to save their ticket stubs. It was a night to remember for the WWE Universe. In an unprecedented second WWE Championship Match of the night, newly-minted WWE Champion Rey Mysterio was forced to defend the title he won less than two hours earlier against one of WWE’s toughest competitors, John Cena.

As the two sportsmen competed, it eventually became clear that The Cenation Commander-in-Chief would overpower Rey’s agile assault and capture his ninth WWE Championship. In the carnival of celebration, however, one competitor emerged to dispute the legitimacy of Cena’s reign.

CM Punk shocked the WWE faithful when, after having departed the company two weeks earlier, he surfaced inside the arena carrying his WWE Title. The audience, as well as millions at home, watched the confrontation, the tension, the body language. Which man would blink first? Which WWE Champion was the rightful heir to WWE’s most coveted object? In the frenzied air of anticipation, however, there would be no determination. The Second City Savior and The Champ merely stood hoisting their respective WWE Titles skyward, as if to declare their proper place in the history books despite the protests of the other.

Alberto Del Rio def. Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Alberto Del Rio quickly figured out that coasting on your accomplishments is the quickest course to obscurity in WWE. In the wake of his astounding Money in the Bank victory, The Mexican Aristocrat dropped focus in an upset loss to Kofi Kingston last week. This week, however, Mr. Money in the Bank came correct, halting his slide as well as any momentum for the Dreadlock Dynamo.

Zack Ryder def. Michael Cole (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After abandoning his post earlier in the program, announcer Michael Cole was made to pay, thanks to WWE’s new COO, Triple H. The Superstar collecting the toll? Zack Ryder. The Long Island Iced Z punished the egotistical talking head and gave his legion of “Bro-skis” something to cheer about. Woo! Woo! Woo! You know it!

Triple H gave a “State of the WWE Address” (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Meet the new boss. After relieving Mr. McMahon of his duties last week, Triple H took over as WWE’s Chief Operating Officer or COO. This week, a sharply dressed Game addressed the WWE Universe and ushered in several major developments.

First, Raw would host an unprecedented second WWE Title Match later in the evening between recently crowned WWE Champion Rey Mysterio and John Cena.

The second bombshell dropped shortly afterward: WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross would be returning to the Raw announce desk.  When The Game announced the decision, current announcer Michael Cole mouthed off in protest. As a result, Triple H arranged a match for him later in the evening against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.

While wrapping up his address, The Cerebral Assassin was interrupted by a clearly imbalanced R-Truth. After enduring the crackpot’s latest batch of conspiracy theories, Triple H introduced the man Truth had put on the shelf: John Morrison. The recuperated Shaman of Sexy  darted into the ring and unleashed his frustrations on Truth, leaving him immobile in the ring.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Maryse & Melina (WATCH PHOTOS)
Two blondes plus two brunettes equals one heck of a tag team match. Divas Champion Kelly Kelly teamed with the gorgeous Eve to square off against belligerent beauties Maryse & Melina. Although Kelly looks like a cheerleader, she once again proved she isn’t afraid to throw down like a linebacker. The Divas Champion proved her title reign is no fluke when she secured the pin and the victory for her team.

Next week, Divas from both Raw and SmackDown will compete in a Diva Battle Royal to determine who will face Kelly Kelly at SummerSlam.

U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Evan Bourne (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Is Vickie Guerrero Dolph Ziggler’s lucky charm? If so, the poor guy may just have to keep her around. Once again, the U.S. Champion prevailed in a match against one of WWE’s most agile Superstars, Evan Bourne. The aerial acrobrat proved unable to overcome Ziggler’s swiftness and athleticism, succumbing to a sleeper hold.

Rey Mysterio def. The Miz to become the WWE Champion (WATCH:PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3 | PHOTOS)
First things first. When Raw went off the air the week before, there remained unfinished business to attend to, namely determining a new WWE Champion. After eight Superstars were whittled down to two during a WWE Championship Tournament, only Rey Mysterio and The Miz remained. To kick off tonight’s show, the pair clashed in a frenzied contest that eventually saw The Master of the 619 capture his first ever WWE Championship.

His title reign got off to a tumultuous start. After the match, Rey’s petulant opponent, apparently unable to keep his A.D.D. in check, ambushed the freshly-minted champion before stomping off. As if Miz’s outburst weren’t enough, Mr. Money in the Bank, Alberto Del Rio, then appeared, hoping to cash in his contract. Before he could, however, the new champion flew over the top rope onto his attacker, which sent The Mexican Aristocrat flying and fleeing up the entrance ramp.

In addition to all the championship action at the top of the show, WWE’s new Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, will assume his role as head of the company later in the program and offer a “State of the WWE Address.”

WWE Tough Enough contestant Ivelisse Velez was at the WWE Raw taping in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She worked in front of the agents before the fans were allowed to enter the arena.

Ivelisse appeared to be the top remaining female worker before she suffered an injury, which played a part in Steve Austin cutting her from the show.

*RUMOR* Is The TNA/AAA Working Relationship Not Going Well?

*RUMOR* Is The TNA/AAA Working Relationship Not Going Well?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter TNA wrestlers have been unhappy about the working conditions in AAA. Some TNA Wrestlers have complained that conditions in the arena are very bad and often quite primitive compared to North American arenas. One wrestler pointed out that there was no running water in the vicinity. The report also notes that Velvet Sky and Angelina Love complained about Mari Apache being too stiff with them in the ring. Others complained about the lack of security following the outcome of Triplemania where AAA fans threw objects at them and some were even able to physically grab wrestlers.

Mr. Anderson reportedly refused to return to AAA unless he was given more money to deal with such harsh conditions. Anderson was expected at last week's show but was replaced just a few days before the show with Scott Steiner.

WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Samoa Joe In WWE

WWE Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin commented on his Official Twitter page that WWE should hire TNA wrestler Samoa Joe

    Quote

WWE should sign @SamoaJoe as soon as his TNA contract is up. One of my favorite workers in today's game. Needs a full green light push.

Samoa Joe's TNA deal had expired some months back and was working some dates on a verbal agreement with the company. During that time it was said that WWE showed no interest in signing Joe and he did eventually sign a new deal with TNA

    Kane 3 maand buiten strijd
Mark Henry injures KaneWWE.com announced Saturday that Kane will be sidelined for at least three months due to a fractured fibula. He sustained the injury while being attacked by Mark Henry, which occurred moments after Randy Orton defeated the multi-time champion in a Street Fight.

    Mark Henry injures Kane

Similar to what he did to Big Show at Money in the Bank, Mark Henry brutalized Kane's leg using a steel chair on the July 22 edition of SmackDown. The attack occurred just moments after Orton defeated Kane in a brutal Street Fight.

According to WWE doctor Michael Sampson, Kane suffered a fractured fibula, which will keep him out of the ring for at least three months. "But because of potential complications with such a severe injury, it could also keep him out of action for an undetermined amount of time," Sampson said.

MINNEAPOLIS – In the wake of the explosive Money in the Bank pay-per-view, anarchy reigned on SmackDown, as the brutality of Randy Orton and Kane’s ruthless Street Fight was eclipsed only by the World’s Strongest fury.

Randy Orton def. Kane in a Street Fight (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In an intense match of swinging kendo sticks, collapsing announce tables, weaponized steel steps and a merciless ring post, former World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton ultimately reigned supreme over Kane. When The Devil’s Favorite Demon attempted to finish WWE’s Apex Predator off with a tombstone onto a steel chair, Orton escaped – driving his monstrous prey into the waiting steel implement with an RKO for the victory.

Following the match, the two tough-as-nails warriors shook hands in a grand moment of mutual respect. However, once The Viper left, the infuriated Mark Henry entered the arena. Taking down The Big Red Monster with the World’s Strongest Slam, the enraged Superstar chose to take his attack to the next level. Trapping Kane’s already injured leg in the steel chair, The World’s Strongest Man crashed down upon it from the ropes – just as he did to Big Show at Money in the Bank five days before.
Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett ended in a Double Count-out  (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When a wild brawl between Sheamus and Wade Barrett overtook their match, the referee was forced to count-out both competitors. Afterward, Barrett hurled his distracted opponent into the ring post. But, when he tried to follow-up his assault up with Wasteland, The Celtic Warrior broke loose, flooring him with a devastating Brogue Kick.

Daniel Bryan def. Heath Slater (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Heath Slater may have walked into Minneapolis confident enough to call Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan a “loser” before their match. But, it was The One Man Southern Rock Band who was destined to walk out defeated, tapping out to Daniel Bryan’s unique display of submission excellence.

Daniel Bryan made a startling WrestleMania proclamation (WATCH)
Dismissing Michael Cole’s criticism, Daniel Bryan continued to show the same heroic determination that earned him the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match victory five days earlier. Rather than choosing to keep the moment he will cash in his title opportunity under wraps, the determined Bryan revealed that he will do it in the main event at WrestleMania on April 1, 2012 in Miami.

World Heavyweight Champion Christian def. Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Just five days after winning his second World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton in a barrage of controversy, Christian triumphed over Ezekiel Jackson, slamming The Personification of Domination into the ring post before executing the Killswitch for the three-count.

Randy Orton had “unfinished business” with World Heavyweight Champion Christian (PHOTOS)
After losing his World Heavyweight Title to Christian by disqualification at Money in the Bank, the irate Viper called-out the new champion and demanded his rematch. Order quickly began to break down, prompting SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to step in. Teddy reminded Orton that he was already signed to face Kane in a Street Fight and, therefore, could not challenge his adversary. Instead, the GM decided to put Christian into a match with Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson.

CM Punk 'Invades' WWE At Comic-Con
CM Punk crashed the joint Mattel/WWE panel—WWE: Past, Present and Future—this afternoon at the San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Triple H, Rey Mysterio and WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.

Punk announced himself via bullhorn and then, with the WWE Championship in hand, sauntered to the designated question-asking microphone and began to speak. The Straight Edge Superstar took exception to WWE attempting to crown a new champion on RAW and then challenged Mysterio, or anyone else who wanted to be champ, to head out to Chicago to take him on.

Punk then asked Triple H and creative writer Brian Gewirtz why Zack Ryder wasn't on television. Triple H, in what appeared to be a kayfabe response, told Punk that things had changed on Raw and there was a new regime. He told Punk to give him a call. Punk responded by telling Hunter that he was certain Stephanie had his phone number. You can check out a few videos of this below.

The introduction leads us to the hot topic: McMahon "relieved of his duties." This will be covered tonight.

Justin Gabriel makes his way to the ring with his fresh music. (We've been talking about a face run for him for weeks, hopefully it doesn't consistently reside on Superstars.)

Tyson Kidd makes his way to the ring. Again - the weekly managerial switch appears to be over as he has NO manager. It also appears Tyson is going to grow out his hair normally. This match is going to be good.

    Justin Gabriel Vs. Tyson Kidd

    Act 1

...And we are underway as Tyson quickly goes for the legs of Gabriel and drops him to his stomach for an amateur take down. Gabriel quickly gets to his knees for a headlock on Tyson. To the ropes goes Justin, who gets a Shoulder Block followed by an exchange of the ropes before Tyson finally attempts a hip toss, only for Gabriel to flip onto his feet and trip the legs of Kidd.

A failed pin attempt and Tyson takes advantage with a few shots to Gabriel. Gabriel tries to make a comeback with a Springboard from the apron, only to be met with a dropkick. Tyson then hits a Snapmare and a kick to the back followed by a failed pin attempt.

    Act 2

Gabriel finds himself stuck in a chinlock. He fights out but Tyson continues to target his head and neck area with a few shots followed up with an elbow drop. Never a wasted move by Tyson... and we are back to the chinlock. Striker notes all the pressure of Tyson's body weight is on the neck and head of Gabriel who awaits a russel in the crowd.

Gabriel rolls Kidd over his shoulder and nails a few shots to his thighs followed by a Spinning Heel Kick. Some more exchanges on the ropes leads to another high kick from Gabriel. He awaits Tyson's return to his feet before nailing a forearm smash followed by a two count. Minneapolis seems dead tonight. :( (Way to represent guys! lol)

    Act 3

Kidd hits a surprised shot to Gabriel's gut followed by a dropkick to his head. A pin attempt finds nothing. Gabriel finds himself in a defensive position in the corner before skinning the cat up to the top turnbuckle. Tyson is determined to capitalize here with a Hurricanrana from the top.

Justin Gabriel holds onto the top ropes and Kidd crashes to the mat. There's life in this crowd after all as they prepare themselves for a beautiful 450 Splash! 1...2...

and 3! Matt Striker asks, "Where does Justin Gabriel go now?"

    Winner: Justin Gabriel by pinfall.

    McMahon/Triple H later tonight!

RAW promo for the follow up to McMahon/Triple H as well as the WWE Championship finals: Miz Vs. Mysterio.

Recap of Christian's title win @ MitB.

Alicia Fox struts herself to the ring with Rihanna-red ponytails.

Natalya is already in the ring.

    Alicia Fox Vs. Natalya

    Act 1

The commentators remind us of the hair-pulling match-up they had two weeks ago on Superstars. Trash talking leads to the two shoving each other. Natty hits a drop toe hold on Alicia and goes for an underhook headlock before Alicia reverses into a hammer lock.

    Act 2
Natty elbows out of it and goes around Alicia wrenching in a waistlock before Alicia ties up in the ropes and the Ref calls for the break. Alicia loses her belt, becomes inferiorated and her temper leads her straight into a Delayed Verticle Suplex.

Alicia powers out of a pinfall attempt. Natty grabs Fox's long legs and pushes her up into a Surfboard submission. Alicia falls backward onto her shoulders and the Ref goes for a double count. 1...2...

Both recover for a few quick exchanges. Alicia nails a clothesline and a does not get a win from it. Natty fights back only to be SLAPPED. Natty gets one of her own on Fox!! The two exchange back and forth!

    Act 3
Into the corner now, Fox nails an elbow on the approaching Neidhart. Alicia sets up for her finisher Scissors Axe Kick. She wraps her long legs around Natty only to be reversed into the Sharpshooter. Before she can pull the trigger, Alicia reverses into a quick roll up for the win!

    Winner: Alicia Fox by pinfall.

This puts Alicia as 2-0 over Natty, who looks inferiorated.

    McMahon/Triple H promo.

The Bella Twins tell us there is no place for bullying, hehe. Be a STAR!

    WWE touts their Twitter success.

Otunga & McGillicutty make their way to the ring with some generic music, still Nexus.

"Oh, Radio!" brings their first opponent...Zack Ryder!

His opponent from previous weeks, his new found partner, Santino Marella makes his way to the ring.

Tag Team Champions: New Nexus - Otunga & McGillicutty Vs. Ryder & Marella

    Act 1

Otunga and Santino start things off with a lock-up, only for Santino to back out and get scared, tagging Ryder in.

Ryder gets the advantage with an arm drag and wrenches the shoulder. Otunga powers out and finds himself on his back again from a shoulder block. Santino is tagged back in and his efforts are thwarted by Dave, who as usual, tags in McGillicutty.

Arm drag by Santino, who follows it up with an Inverted Atomic Drop. (Nice to see his true skills come out here.) He sets up for the Cobra as Mike hits a cheap shot to Ryder.

McGillicutty rolls under the Cobra and out of the ring. Santino follows in pursuit and Otunga falls victim to a shot from Santino, but does his job: Distraction. McGillicutty flies from the apron with a knee to the head of Santino as we go to a break.

    **********

    Act 2

Michael hits a Perfect Dropkick as we come back from the break, but his perfection falls short with a two count. He brings Santino's skull into Otunga's boot in the corner and gets the tag. The two hit their signature Elbow/Clothesline combo in the corner. Otunga wastes time taunting the crowd and fails to pick up the win because of it.

Just like last week, Otunga goes for the chinlock. Santino fights out only for Otunga to hang him up on the ropes and nail another Clothesline. It's almost as if we are watching a replay of last week, as Otunga once again tags in Mike.

Mike brings him to the ground and fails to get the pin. Otunga is tagged back in and they go for their double team combo again. Santino gets out of dodge and hits the hot tag on Ryder!

    Act 3

Ryder hits a series of Clotheslines on Otunga as the crowd goes wild. He follows it up with a forearm smash in the corner. "WOO! WOO! WOO!" He nails the Browski Boot and goes for the cover. 1...2...

Michael makes the save. Santino attempts one of his own, only to miss and find himself on the floor. Ryder makes sure that McGillicutty is soon to follow. Otunga goes for the Verdict only for it to be reversed into the Rough Ryder leg lariat and the victory!

Winners: Ryder & Santino by pinfall by Ryder on Otunga.

The two do their signature taunts and Ryder attempts to spike Marella's hair.

UP NEXT: Evan 'Air' Bourne is in action.

Mysterio: Life of a Masked Man DVD promo.

    WWEShop.com promo.

Evan Bourne makes his way to the ring.

Primo is already in the squared circle. (This will be a great match up - but I must be honest...I almost forgot about Primo. It's been a while since he's been on TV at all. Nothing against his ability, he's an amazing talent...but we've seen Drew McIntyre more as of late.)

    Evan Bourne Vs. Primo

    Act 1

The two start with waistlocks, leg scissors and other various flashy moves, countering each other to hype up the crowd.

Arm wringers and hammer locks are reversed, Evan Bourne flips Primo Colon to the mat for a one count. Evan into the corner, Primo flips and does a headstand on the top rope, nailing a leg scissors on Bourne. Bourne off the ropes, he hits the same. Primo dodges a dropkick from Evan.

Primo goes for a delayed Verticle Suplex only to find Evan fighting his way out of it. A shot to the hamstring is followed up by another head scissors attempt. Bourne instead finds himself slammed face first on the mat by Primo in a creative counter. He follows it up with a knee drop to the face.

    Act 2

Primo chokes Evan against the ropes before getting a two count. He nails a Russian Leg Sweep before locking his legs on Bourne's right leg and behind his neck for a submission. Bourne fights out only to find himself again at the mercy of Primo in the corner. Colon beats down Bourne.

Again with the Delayed Verticle. 1...2...

Two count for Primo. He goes for a headlock on Bourne. Bourne comes back as Primo meets the ropes and is greeted by a Dropkick. Primo is then sent forward into the corner, Bourne runs up behind only to find Primo flying over his head and nailing a Sunset flip. Bourne fights out and before Primo can make another move his sternum is double stomped by Bourne! Two count!

    Act 3

Elbow by Primo. Hurricanrana into a pin by Bourne. Two count, reversed into a pin by Primo...the two bridge and come back to their feet in a great exchange. Bourne ends up on top in this battle with a Spinning Heel Kick.

Bourne makes his way to the top rope and the high rent district finds it's Shooting Star Press! 1...2...

    3!

Winner: Evan Bourne by pinfall. GREAT MATCH-UP!

    - WWE announced today that WrestleMania 28 travel packages have sold out.

    - The Record in Mexico has pulled their interview with Sin Cara from yesterday where he talked about his WWE Wellness Policy suspension. Word is that WWE was very upset about Cara discussing the issue publicly, specifically his claim that it was all just a misunderstanding and he didn't know why he was being suspended.
