- Word going around yesterday and at last night's RAW was that WWE will not be bringing Sin Cara back after he failed a Wellness test. As noted before, it's believed that Cara actually failed the test in mid-June but was just suspended yesterday. There is a lot of heat on Cara for the suspension because he's been promoted as Triple H's first major international hire.
TNA Wrestler Kazarian wrote the following on his twitter page in response to WWE star Sin Cara who, as of late, has been using Kazarian's finisher the flux capacitor.
Quote The Flux Capacitor is what makes time travel possible. If you STEAL it, u violate the wellness policy and get suspended 30 days. Just sayin.
as we mentioned earlier, TNA wrestler Samoa Joe worked last night's AAA television taping. Mr. Anderson was also advertised for the show. For whatever reason, he was not there and was replaced by Scott Steiner. Joe submitted electroshock for the win. At the end of the show Joe, Steiner and Park attacked El Zorro who was wearing his old mask. Konnan announced that the next pay per view, Verano De Escandalo will have a 3 way match for the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship between Jeff Jarrett, LA Park and Dr. Wagner.

Raw results: Pink slipped By: Greg Adkins July 18, 2011 Tags: Raw: July 18, 2011 GREEN BAY It was an 11th hour stay of execution. Arguably the most popular Superstar in WWE had his head on the chopping block, but just before Mr. McMahon could bring down the axe, a returning Superstar shocked The Chairman and the WWE Universe - and delivered the mother of all pink slips.
Triple H returned to relieve Mr. McMahon of his duties (WATCH | PHOTOS | FULL STORY) Before Rey Mysterio and The Miz could compete in the final round of the WWE Championship Tournament, Mr. McMahon demanded that the ring be cleared he had important business to conduct. After explaining the tumultuous events that took place the night before at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, The Chairman ordered former WWE Champion John Cena to the ring. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief showed and offered an impassioned speech about hhis love of WWE.
Before Mr. McMahon could give him his walking papers, though, he received an unwelcome guest. Triple H, not seen on Raw in more than three months, interrupted his famous father-in-law. The Game, a WWE executive and husband of Stephanie McMahon, told The Chairman that his decisions of late have been called into question by WWE board members. He then went on to drop a bombshell on Mr. McMahon and the WWE Universe. The Chairman of WWE has officially been relieved of his duties.
Rey Mysterio def. R-Truth in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite their impressive careers, neither Rey Mysterio nor R-Truth has ever held the WWE Title, which goes a long way in explaining why each fought so doggedly to advance to the final round of the WWE Championship Tournament. In the end, WWEs Biggest Little Man would prevail over his fellow Money in the Bank Ladder Match participant to advance to the final round. There, he must face The Miz for the WWE Title on the next Raw.
The Miz def. Kofi Kingston in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH |PHOTOS) In the second round of the WWE Championship Tournament, Kofi Kingston had the final round in his crosshairs, but The Miz proved too difficult a target. With an inherent hunger to recapture the WWE Title, The Awesome One overcame Kingstons aerial assault through cunning and a jarring Skull Crushing Finale.
Beth Phoenix pinned Rosa Mendes to win a 7-on-7 Divas Tag Team Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Seven has always been a lucky number, now its pretty sexy, too. In a 7-on-7 Divas Tag Team Match, Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, Eve, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Gail Kim, Kaitlyn & A.J. teamed up to face off against The Bella Twins, Melina, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, Maryse & Tamina. Although a melee broke out before the end of the match, Beth secured her teams victory when she Glam Slammed Rosa and pinned her for the three-count.
Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Rey Mysterio was this close to snatching the briefcase the night before during his first ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Unfortunately for him, Alberto Del Rio yanked off his mask causing the proud luchador to falter. Against Dolph Ziggler, however, The Master of the 619 managed to save face. In the WWE Championship Tournament, Mysterio bested the blond bomber to advance.
Kofi Kingston def. Alberto Del Rio in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Alberto Del Rio may have hit Kofi Kingston like a piñata during their WWE Championship Tournament Match, but the only thing that poured out was anger and fury. The Mexican Aristocrat, who has a pretty sweet Plan B after winning Raws Money in the Bank Ladder Match the night before, failed to advance in the tournament after The Dreadlock Dynamo utilized his athleticism to triumphant effect.
R-Truth def. Jack Swagger in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Whether its "Little Jimmys" or a Big Jack, somebody gonna get got! In the WWE Championship Tournament to determine which Superstar will reign supreme, R-Truth set his wild eyes on the prize and defeated The All-American American to advance.
The Miz def. Alex Riley in a WWE Title Tournament Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Who knew the WWE Title had such healing power? Just one night after The Miz suffered what appeared to be a painful knee injury, The Cleveland Screamer brought his A-game for a chance to become the new WWE Title holder. He squared off against Alex Riley in the opening round of the WWE Championship Tournament to determine which Superstar would hold WWEs most prized possession. In the end, Miz managed to squeak by his former assistant to advance.
Mr. McMahon announced plans to crown new WWE Champion (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite the unprecedented events that took place at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, during which John Cena lost the WWE Championship, Mr. McMahon kicked off the show and appeared determined to chart a course forward.
As a result, The Chairman announced that eight of the top Superstars would compete in a WWE Championship Tournament to determine a new titleholder tonight, starting with The Miz and Alex Riley.
Generation Me explains why they left TNA Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 07/17/2011 at 03:00 PM
Generation Me posted the following at GenMeMax.tumblr.com which explains why they left TNA Wrestling...
"Simply put: If we werent wrestling, we werent making money And a guys gotta eat. Obviously, if youre a fan of the show, you probably hadnt seen us for quite sometime."
"Aside from the television program, TNA also runs live events around the country. In 2011, wed only been on a handful of those, as well. Now, dont get me wrong. When youre booked a bunch, youre making pretty good money, which was the case for us in our first year with the company. Not so much, this year."
"After a small reminder in New York City, of what we left behind, and news breaking about MORE X-Division wrestlers being hired and added to an already bloated roster, the writing was on the wall."
"If they couldnt fit everyone on the show before, how did they expect to do so now, with even more wrestlers? We felt wed be doing everyone a favor - so we asked for our release."
The Bella Twins Lash Out at Fans on Twitter Posted by Steve Carrier on 07/18/2011 at 12:11 PM
The Bella Twins lashed out at fans on Twitter criticizing Brie's largely panned performance at Money in the Bank. The Twin duo, who share an account, fired back at fans who posted negative remarks concerning the WWE Divas Championship bout by saying they have no room to talk.
A Bella wrote, "I think it's funny when people have to RT something a lot when they don't even have the skill to back it up... #Desperate&Sad."
Minutes later, a fan suggested that Brie learn how to wrestle and could do so by studying footage of the TNA Knockouts. The fan wrote, "I'm actually shocked your match went like 5 mins haha!!! But seriously, learn to work. Watch TNA Knockouts and take notes!!!"
One of the Bellas snarked, "they have the worst matches ever." She added, "Show up to a live event and your mouth will shut up... Like we're in charge of time."
Fan's live report from Money in the Bank Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/18/2011 at 12:01 PM
Adam Dziubczynski sent in the following notes after attending the MITB PPV...
A review of what I would like to think is the best WWE PPV in quite some time, or as we all know it as CM Punk In The Bank!
1. The atmosphere was insane, and I really hope it came across that way on tv. During the Divas match and the Big Show/Henry match, the crowd had a pretty good CM Punk chant going on. Hope it came across on tv. Those matches were lame, but on the bright side, the Bellas are even hotter in person and Henry is a beast!
2. I was a tad disappointed in the Smackdown MiTB match. I figured for more high flying, but the Raw ladder match was way beyond my expectations. Incredibly awesome! And when Evan Bourne did his Jeff Hardy? OMG! Oh, and Sheamus was over HUGE!
3. It's official. Chicago hates Orton. Not as much as Cena, but everyone kept wanting him to get Christian "one more time" as the chant went, while also chanting for Daniel Bryan. I was keeping my eye on the ramp for Bryan to come cash in, but nope. Oh well. I'm sure they've got big plans for him.
4. The Raw ladder match. OMG! Miz had insane heat when he was announced, but when he came running out, you'd think CM Punk was out! It was crazy. Del Rio throwing Rey's mask = OVER OVER OVER!!!! Not one cheer for Rey, except some stupid little bastard in my section, who was about 3 yrs old. f*** him.
5. Do I even need to give my thoughts on the CM Punk match? I will tell you guys this. I've been a smark since the 90's. I know that John Cena isn't going anywhere. He's the "franchise". We all know this. However, I will admit, I marked out so hard tonight, I almost had tears in my eyes. I was literally standing the whole match, eager with anticipation, screaming "DON'T YOU TAP TO A f***ING GUY IN JEAN SHORTS!!!" I haven't booed this much at an event since I went to a Bulls/Heat game. It was just unbelievable, and I honestly wish those of you that I've become "friends" with in here were there with me to experience it! I WILL be buying this dvd!
STAMFORD, Conn. In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde (Sin Cara) for 30 days for his first violation of the companys policy.
Several Wrestlers Comment on Punk-Cena's Match Posted by Steve Carrier on 07/18/2011 at 12:31 AM
Kevin Nash: "MITB better than any mma ppv I've watched. Punk continues to gain my respect and Jay is the F**KIN man,WWE at it's best"
Mick Foley: "I don't think I've ever been jealous of a wrestler's character before. Money, yes, character, no. @cmpunk has changed that. Damn. Damn!"
Steve Austin: "@CMPunk and @JohnCena had a big time pro wrestling match. I loved it. And I loved the finish. Congrats to both guys. Great stuff."
"WOW!!! What a Tremendous reception for @CMPunk! That was a 10 out of 10. Hell Yeah!"
Trish Stratus: "What's so wrong w/ leaving the company as champion, right @wweuniverse? Hehe! Great match-the 'to be continued' is what's got me #mustseetv"
Sean Waltman: "That was f**king unbelievable. Glad I decided on a later flight in order to see that. Hats off to both guys and to WWE for doing it right. Now I can get on my flight a happy man. Thanks @CMPunk and @JohnCena . Thanks to Chicago for making that so electric. Best bldg in world."
Seth Rollins: "We're still a wrestling company and that was how professional wrestling is done."
Joey Styles: "I can't believe this. Our WWE Champion doesn't work for WWE and John Cena is or will be fired. OMG! Holy Crap!"
What Happened After WWE MITB from Chicago Posted by Steve Carrier on 07/17/2011 at 11:12 PM
- Thanks to Ron for the following:
- After Money in the Bank went off the air, Vince McMahon stood there shocked before finally walking off. He stopped to wait on John Laurinaitis. Officials helped Laurinaitis to the back but Vince laid him out with a right hand and walked off.
- During tonight's WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Paul Heyman finally spoke on CM Punk and his RAW promo from a few weeks back. Heyman wrote:
"It's been 20 days since @CMPunk turned the wrestling world and WWE Universe completely upside down w/ his performance. It's not what @CMPunk said, it's the realism with which his promo was delivered. HE felt it. So did millions of fans, too. @CMPunk is not the voice of the voiceless, he's the voice of today's generation! @CMPunk is cool and bad ass, yet he's a man of principle. He translates to grownups and kids alike. I'M A @CMPunk GUY!"
What You Didn't See at the Money in the Bank PPV Posted by Steve Carrier on 07/17/2011 at 10:54 PM
Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov beat WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga &Michael McGillicutty when Santino pinned Otunga in a non-title dark match prior to tonight's WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Ex-WWE star goes on major John Cena rant Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/16/2011 at 07:22 PM
Chavo Guerrero took John Cena's wrestling ability to task today on Twitter after the master of the Five Knuckle Shuffle declared earlier in the day that people will talk about his match with CM Punk tomorrow at Money in the Bank for years to come. He challenges the WWE Champion to think outside the box and not do the "BS lazy comeback" he does in "every match" because the fans deserve better. The third generation grappler also took a parting shot at The Miz during his near half-hour diatribe.
Guerrero wrote:
"Ok, don't 'Fin' say that people will talk about this for years if you're going to let Punk do all the work and not deliver at the PPV, Cena. I am tired and I know fans are tired of WWE Superstars talking big and not delivering. We don't want to see someone just in a fight. And frankly no one believes it anymore. If Miz can kick your ass then the clerk at the store can kick your ass, so please deliver if you say that..
People will remember this PPV. You know Punk will bring 'it'. I've been in the ring with both of you and Punk has 'it'. Cena you have mic skills yes but if you think people believe your BS lazy comeback that you do exactly the same every match then you are mistaken. Eddie and I taught you different. We never said 'get lazy' and do the damn thing every night. We always said 'think out of the box' and give the fans what they deserve and not rely on the 'machine' to 'get you over'.
I hope this lights a fire under your ass and you deliver this Sunday. Don't just rest on you being over cause you are and that is easy. Challenge yourself and give the fans what they deserve. That's why they boo you. Because they aren't stupid. They know what they pay for and the 'great' promo guy but the shitty 'match' guy that you have become is not what they want. I understand 'longevity' but at the sacrifice of the fans trust is not worth it. Deliver on your fans and deliver on why you got into this business. Eventually the fans that you have gained with from the purple t-shirts will turn on you. Take a lesson from the Hulkster. Give the fans there $ worth and don't become just another 'promo' guy. I know you love this biz and don't get distracted from the McMahon $. Deliver please!! Have enough respect for your fans because without them, you're working at a fast food chain.
Love you man and I support you and hope you see this because I know Punk will and I know he's going to bring it because he's got nothing to lose!"

SmackDown results: Losing cool By: Mitch Passero July 15, 2011 Tags: SmackDown: July 15, 2011 UNCASVILLE, Connecticut With their Money in the Bank match looming, Christian did his best to get under the skin of World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton all night long. By the end of the main event, The Viper finally snapped.
Kane def. World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton by Disqualification in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) A night of Christians taunting of Randy Orton culminated during the main event between Kane and Orton. When Christian came to ringside, Kane used the distraction to clothesline Orton out of the ring. The momentum also sent Kane careening onto the arena floor. But while Kane smartly climbed back into the ring, Orton decided to pursue Christian, which resulted in him getting doused with water by Christian and counted out of the bout.
Thats when the chaos began.
As a furious Orton chased Christian around and into the ring, The Viper found himself the victim of a vicious 2-on-1 assault at the hands of both Kane and Christian. But when Kane turned his attention to Christian, The Viper blasted Kane with an RKO. Then just seconds after, Christian charged and speared Orton. After pummeling Orton with blows, Christian armed himself with a steel chair. But before Christian could use the chair, Orton kicked Christian in the gut and wrested control of the chair. Then, seething with anger, Orton erupted and unloaded on Kane with multiple, brutal chair shots while Christian looked on.
After the display, can Orton possibly contain his temper and avoid being disqualified and losing his title at Money in the Bank? What surprises does Christian have left in store for Orton? The fate of the World Title will be determined this Sunday. (Preview)
Justin Gabriel def. Heath Slater (WATCH | PHOTOS) Together, Justin Gabriel and Health Slater were three-time WWE Tag Team Champions. And they worked together from the beginning of The Nexus to the end of The Corre. But thats all in the past, and Slater made that clear with his words before the match against his former ally. But in the end it was Gabriel who reigned supreme in a competitive bout, defeating Slater with an impressive 450 Splash.
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Rosa Mendes (WATCH | PHOTOS) After driving Rosa Mendes' head to the canvas, Kelly Kelly picked up the win. At Money in the Bank, Kelly Kelly puts her title on the line against Brie Bella. (Preview)
Big Show and Mark Henry faced off (WATCH | PHOTOS) With Big Show and Mark Henry prepared to face off, there was potential for chaos and SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long knew it. If there was any physicality between the two, Long would cancel their Money in the Bank match. As both behemoths traded emotional words, Big Show claimed his actions against Henry as of late have actually done him a favor by lighting a fire within him. Henrys take was that being stronger and meaner is better than being big. Who will prevail when the two finally collide in the ring at Money in the Bank? (Preview)
Sin Cara def. Sheamus (WATCH | PHOTOS) In their first match ever, Sin Cara stunned Sheamus by countering the Celtic Cross and rolling him up for a pinfall victory. With Sheamus frustrated by the loss, Wade Barrett leapt up from the announce table to gain a measure of retribution for Sheamus smashing him with a steel chair last week. After dropping Sheamus with a Brogue Kick, Barrett finished him off with Wasteland.
Cody Rhodes def. Daniel Bryan (WATCH | PHOTOS) With no love lost between the two, Cody Rhodes and Daniel Bryan slugged it out in an evenly matched bout. While battling in the corner, Rhodes tossed Bryan to the side, causing him to land precariously with the top rope between his legs. Rhodes capitalized on the vulnerable position and dropped Bryan from the ropes with a well-targeted kick to the head, leading to a pinfall victory.
Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson def. Ted DiBiase (WATCH | PHOTOS) With Cody Rhodes preparing for his match with Bryan, Ted DiBiase was on his own against big Ezekiel Jackson. Despite an impressive effort from DiBiase, he was forced to submit to Jacksons punishing backbreaker. After the match, Rhodes warned DiBiase about the paper bag implications of losing another match in the future (WATCH).
Christian taunted World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton (PHOTOS) What started with Christian taunting Randy Orton with a picture of him with the World Title (WATCH) escalated as the night progressed. First, he vowed to find out who vandalized Randy Ortons tour bus (WATCH). Then, he lost a bunch of Ortons money at the roulette wheel (WATCH). Finally, he offered his thoughts on Orton in Thats What I Am
