Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Divas Champion Brie & Nikki Bella WWE Tag Team Champion Kane vs. Mason Ryan ended in a No Contest Dolph Ziggler def. Santino Marella WWE Champion John Cena def. Alex Riley U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston def. Jack Swagger The Miz def. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match
Quittin' time! By: Greg Adkins May 9, 2011 Tags: Raw: May 9, 2011, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Sometimes destiny and determination are no match for deceit. With the opportunity to be the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title, The Miz and his sycophantic follower, Alex Riley, weren't taking any chances.
The Miz def. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match; WWE Champion John Cena arranged an I Quit Match at Over the Limit (WATCH | PHOTOS) Alex Rileys road to redemption just got a little shorter. During The Mizs Triple Threat Match against Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title, Riley proved invaluable to his boss. Just as it appeared that Mysterio would pin The Mexican Aristocrat for the win, Mizs boot-licking lackey interfered, pulling Del Rio from the ring.
The intrusion allowed The Miz to triumph, propelling him into a WWE Title Match against John Cena at Over the Limit. Upon hearing the news, The Champ addressed the WWE Universe, and The Cleveland Screamer in particular, explaining that he had decided to make their title match in two weeks an I Quit Match.
Then, just as it appeared tensions had settled, R-Truth flew into the ring and attacked an unsuspecting Mysterio, declaring, "Now, that's what's up!"
U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston def. Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) Jerry Lawler has another chance to shut up the mouthy menace of Michael Cole. During a title match pitting U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston against Jack Swagger, the WWE Hall of Famer provoked Cole and his trainer, Swagger, into accepting a match challenge he issued earlier in the evening.
Lawler distracted The All-American American, allowing Kingston to retain. Afterward, the WWE Hall of Famer attacked Swagger and moved on with determination to his fellow announcer. As Swagger defended Cole and ushered him up the entrance ramp, he took it upon himself to accept Lawlers challenge.
Jerry Lawler challenged Michael Cole to a match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Everybody knows, you dont talk about another mans momma. For Michael Cole, however, the rules of decorum never seem to apply. The cheese-eating announcer proclaimed his ring retirement before taunting his favorite target, Jerry Lawler. As a result, the WWE Hall of Famer confronted Cole and challenged him to another match raising the stakes considerably. King told his nemesis that were he to lose, he would personally induct Cole into the WWE Hall of Fame himself and even give him his Hall of Fame ring. For his part, the weasely announcer refused the test and scurried back into his Cole Mine. Eventually, Cole's trainer Jack Swagger ambushed Lawler, leaving him hurting on the arena floor.
WWE Champion John Cena def. Alex Riley (WATCH | PHOTOS) Is there nothing Alex Riley wont do to kiss up to The Miz? After The Cleveland Screamer blamed him for blowing his WWE Title opportunity last week, Riley took it upon himself to challenge WWE Champion John Cena to a non-title match. Yikes!
After disposing of his opponent, The Champ spotted Miz approaching. As if to send a clear and agonizing message, Cena administered several Attitude Adjustments to Mizs lackey before locking on an excruciating STF.
Dolph Ziggler def. Santino Marella (WATCH | PHOTOS) With his bothersome business associate, Vickie Guerrero, cheering him on, Dolph Ziggler tackled the challenge of Santino Marella. With the Italian in the ascendant, the new and improved Ziggler easily prevailed and demonstrated just why he could well represent, in the words of Guerrero, the present and future of WWE.
WWE Tag Team Champion Kane vs. Mason Ryan ended in a No Contest (WATCH | PHOTOS) Last week, Mason Ryan leveled both WWE Tag Team Champions Kane & Big Show. This week, retribution came in one size: XXXL. As Kane tangled with Ryan in a singles match, his partner attacked The New Nexus ringleader CM Punk as they watched outside the ring. The attack prompted the rest of the New Nexus disciples to converge on The Worlds Largest Athlete and his partner.
Having dispensed of Ryans Nexus brethren as well, the WWE Tag Team Champions trained their considerable fury on the Welshman and demolished him with a double chokeslam.
Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Divas Champion Brie & Nikki Bella (WATCH | PHOTOS) The Divas division continues to tremble and with good reason. For the second week running, the braided behemoth Kharma targeted a Diva for punishment. This week, after Kelly Kelly & Eve managed to defeat Divas Champion Brie Bella & her sister Nikki, Kharma beat a path to the ring. Kelly Kelly exited, perhaps wisely, but Eve confronted the Divas tormentor. The braided behemoth laid out the Latina lovely before darting from the ring in an attempt to get her hands on Kelly Kelly. After she realized the blond beauty was out of her grasp, she returned to the canvas, where she punished Eve with an utter lack of compassion.
No. 1 Contender's Triple Threat Match arranged (WATCH | PHOTOS) Three slots, four competitors. Something had to give. And so it was when Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, The Miz and R-Truth each made a strong case as to why they should be the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title against John Cena.
After The Mexican Aristocrat argued about the title being his destiny, The Master of the 619 cut him off at the knees, arguing otherwise. The Awesome One wasnt about to be excluded, so he, naturally, shot off his mouth, too. Finally, Truth bragged about how he put John Morrison in the hospital with a neck injury in the wake of his attack last week and insisted he get an opportunity as well.
Raws anonymous General Manager, however, decided to arrange a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title and, among the four, the rapping Superstar found himself odd man out.
Kevin Nash speaks openly about Scott Hall Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 05/09/2011 at 12:47 PM
Kevin Nash appeared on The LAW Sunday night to promote the CWI 'Brawl at the Bush 2' event happening next weekend in Brantford, Ontario (www.cwiwrestling.com). Nash spoke very openly on the show about Scott Hall and his public issues over the last number of months and below are some of the comments Nash made in regards to Hall's health right now. Nash also mentioned in passing during the interview that he had received an email that Lex Luger is now running the WWE's Wellness Policy. The entire edition of The LAW featuring Kevin Nash can be downloaded at http://www.thefightnetwork.com and airs Sunday nights at 11pm EST on Sirius 158.
These people will say things like 'you need to have an intervention or someone said 'you need to take Scott fishing without alcohol' and no one grasps the severity of what this situation is. This is someone that has been to rehab nine times and probably walked out three to four times. He's been in and out of hospitals for the last year and a couple of times in Providence (for a recent independent show) what happened was Scott took a really bad fall in his house and hurt his hip really badly and of course the promoter said Hall got off the plane in a wheelchair blah, blah, blah. I talked to Scott and Scott said 'I never miss a shot and Im going to make this shot' and I told him he sounded horrible and he said 'yeah'. Somas are the worst thing for wrestlers and I think they've killed more wrestlers than anything. He took some of those and hadnt taken those in a long time and had a really bad reaction they put him up there for 72-hours and the thing is Scott has been through so many hospitals, so many psych wards, evaluations and so many rehab centers that Scott knows every catch phrase and he knows exactly what the psychologist wants to hear and were all workers that's what we are and in 72-hours Scott is gone.
Hes at a place right now where the peaks and valleys are so incredibly high and low and the last week hes been at a level spot, his health is bad. I think he went in and saw some doctors and hes not going to walk in and get a gold label of health and when you get news from doctors that your heart isnt functioning so well, this isnt functioning well and this isnt functioning well and to get all that news all in one day he went into a semi bender.
I can't make Scott Hall want to live, I can't make Scott Hall want to get better, I can't make Scott want to repair his relationship with his children, I can't make any of those things happen and the only one who can is Scott. When and if he does I will be the happiest person on earth. He always knows no matter what, day or night, if he needs me and really needs me or needs anything or anything of me or for him I will be there in an hour and he knows that. I can't be his therapist, I can't be his wife, I can't be his rehabilitation specialist but I can be his friend. I think he needs friends more than he needs people telling him what he has to do or not to do. Lately its like the ninth inning, two out, a full count and theyve walked into the baseball game and sitting in their seat and telling us whats been going on in the game I've been doing this for 17-years with Scott, you dont just jump into the game and tell me what he needs to do because you havent been here, you havent lived it, you haven't done that and Dana (Hall) has. A lot of people think shes a crack pot but people forget she has two children with the man, thats real flesh and blood and Cassidy and Cody are great kids and they deserve better but at the same time Scott people think Scott's problem is he likes to get drunk and likes to take drugs and he's an addict and he's not he has post traumatic stress and had several incredibly horrible incidents happen in his early youth going on to his adolescence and early adulthood and he has had things happen to him that he cannot get through.
When you are trying to numb a memory thats when you have a problem and youre trying to forget something thats a problem. Hes not out being a rock star, he's making things in his mind go away because he cannot shut it off and does it for days at a time and then when he does think about it he realizes the problem is still there.

Another sad update regarding Scott Hall Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 05/08/2011 at 09:51 PM
The former wife of Scott Hall told Mike Mooneyham of her most recent conversation with her ex-husband.
I could barely understand him, but finally heard him say he was sorry for his behavior, and after wrapping his head around it, he knew he was going to die, didnt have much time left, and wanted me and the kids to be with him in the end.
She says Hall, however, hung up when she started to talk and would not answer when she called him back. Not knowing what his condition might be, she says she called 911 to meet her at Halls home 10 miles away in case he needed help.
He sounded like he might be dying, she says. I was freaking out because he sounded really bad.
Emergency medical technicians were already on the scene and climbing through a bedroom window when she arrived.
When she got to the front porch, she says, Hall was pushing an EMT out of the door.
It was nothing short of a scene from One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest meets The Shining. This is no exaggeration I wish it was, she says.
When he saw her, she says, Hall went into a rampage against me, telling them to get this (expletive) off his property.

In a highly competitive bout, both Superstars fought tooth and nail, giving all they had, and then some. After Sheamus grabbed the ropes to force Bryan to release a LeBell Lock, the 2010 King of the Ring blasted him with two brutal Brogue Kicks for a commanding win.
The WWE Universe picked Christian's Opponent (WATCH | PHOTOS) When Christian kicked off SmackDown by celebrating his newly acquired World Heavyweight Championship, Mark Henry, The Great Khali and Randy Orton wanted their chance in the limelight, as well. To determine which of the three would get a chance to face the champion, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long polled the WWE Universe. With the crowd overwhelmingly in favor of giving Orton the opportunity, Long stunned all when he said the match would occur later that same night.
According to Dave Meltzer, the mentality in WWE is that Undertaker is considered to be retired and that is a factor as to why Michelle McCool isn't wrestling anymore. While nobody wants to say it outright, Undertaker's physical condition is said to be far worse than what is being let on. WWE is still going to try to get him to compete at Wrestlemania 28 if his body can hold up, but according to friends of Undertaker, the talk is that he'll retire for good if he goes 20-0 at Wrestlemania.
