    UPDATE ON ANGLE'S ARREST

As noted earlier this evening here on the website, TNA star Kurt Angle was arrested early this morning in North Dakota. According to TMZ.com, highway patrol in Grand Forks found Angle sitting in his car in the median separating lanes. TMZ.com reports that Angle told cops he had hit an icy patch in the road. During the conversation, cops say they smelled alcohol on Angle's breath. He then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. Since cops didn't see Angle driving, he was arrested and later charged with being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated -- which basically means he was allegedly drunk behind the wheel but not actually driving.

In an update on this, we can confirm that Angle was arrested late last night/early this morning on Interstate 29 between Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota. Angle was charged in Grand Forks District court and his hearing took place earlier this afternoon. He was able to post bail.

TNA has a live event tonight at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND at 7:30 pm. The show is headlined by Kurt Angle facing Jeff Jarrett. As of last word, Angle is still scheduled to be there tonight.

Angle was arrested in 2007 in Moon Township, PA on a DUI charge as well. On that day, police received a report of an erratic driver leaving a bar. Several patrons at the bar identified the driver as Kurt Angle and police went to him home. He was then charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. Angle was later found not guilty on those charges after he argued that the witness had numerous versions of the events that had occurred.

Angle was also arrested in 2009 after a domestic dispute with Tranesha 'Rhaka Khan' Biggers. Again, all assault and harassment charges were dropped. Angle was charged with driving on a suspended license during that incident.

It should also be noted that yesterday was Kurt Angle's fiancées birthday.

    KURT ANGLE ARRESTED

Wrestling superstar Kurt Angle was arrested early this morning in North Dakota ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... highway patrol in Grand Forks found Angle sitting in his car in the median separating lanes. We're told Angle told cops he had hit an icy patch in the road. During the conversation, cops say they smelled alcohol on Angle's breath. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.

Since cops didn't see Angle driving, he was arrested and later charged with being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated -- which basically means he was allegedly drunk behind the wheel but not actually driving.

    Chris Masters def. Tyler Reks
The Great Khali & Yoshi Tatsu def. The Usos
Daniel Bryan & Gail Kim def. Tyson Kidd & Melina

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Daniel Bryan & Gail Kim def. Tyson Kidd & Melina (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Less than two weeks before he takes on United States Champion Sheamus at WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan showed his skills in a unique Mixed Tag Team Match alongside the talented Gail Kim. Locking up with Melina & Tyson Kidd, the power couple of Gail & Bryan showed that they have chemistry both in and out of the ring by nailing a series of amazing double team maneuvers. In the end, it was a pair of missile dropkicks that allowed Bryan to apply The LeBell Lock to Kidd for the win.

The Great Khali & Yoshi Tatsu def. The Usos (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When it comes to being a tag team, The Usos have it all — they're young, they're talented and the twin brothers work together seamlessly. But sometimes all the skills in the world aren’t enough to stop a 7’3” behemoth by the name of The Great Khali. Teaming up with the dymanic Yoshi Tatsu for the first time, The Punjabi Playboy was clearly still ailing from the vicious attack he suffered at the hands of The Miz two weeks ago on Raw. But even with his back and shoulder bandaged, Khali is still one of the most dominant men in WWE. This was made apparent when the big man nailed Jimmy Uso with a thundering Punjabi Plunge to score the victory for his team.

Chris Masters def. Tyler Reks (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When will Tyler Reks learn? For the fourth time in recent weeks, The Dreadlocked Demolition Man attempted to destroy Chris Masters and for the fourth straight time he was beaten. Unable to overpower Masters the way he does other Superstars, Reks struggled to control The Masterpiece before finally succumbing to The Master Lock. Maybe the fifth time will be a charm?

The Rock Says He's Open To Wrestling Again

The Rock Says He's Open To Wrestling Again
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 03/24/2011 at 03:15 PM

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spoke to Associated Press sports writer Dan Gelston this week about his return to WWE, the build to WrestleMania and beyond.

The most newsworthy part of the interview, which you can read at Sports.Yahoo.com in its entirety, is that The Rock is more open to wrestling another match than he's been in the past several years.

"I’ve never said never," Rock said. "I’m open to it. For years when I was asked that, I kept my emotions very close to my sleeve.

"I would say, ‘No, I don’t see myself wrestling a match,’ because I didn’t want to leave that open too much. I wanted to make sure I was concentrating solely on my goals in acting."

Rock thinks he can handle his movie career while still making appearances for WWE, which would include getting back in the ring.

“It’s ‘The People’s Era’ that’s getting ready to happen,” he said. “It’s just beginning.”

TNA iMPACT starts with a recap of Mr. Anderson and Hulk Hogan in a rap type video. It goes and repeats the words and moves Anderson did.

The screen goes black and the title of the show is "Do The Math!"

Mr. Anderson's music hits and he comes on out to the riing with some older guy in a suit and glasses. They goth get in the ring. Anderson has a mic while there is a big drawing board in the ring. Anderson welcomes himself and then welcome the guy as he is a professor at the University of Wisconsin. He said he went there to get a degree at being an @sshole. He then states that while he has been teaching, Anderson thought of doing the girl next to him and the guy couldn't deny her hottness. He gets back to the situation and states to the guy his situation. As he had a match with RVD last week and both of their shoulders were down at the same time. Anderson draws on the board and says it's a tie. He then goes on to say that he never got his rematch. Anderson puts a 0 + 1 (for his rematch) = A REMATCH! The professor says he is right and Anderson sends him on his way. He then calls him back real quick and talks about the girl again. Anderson states all of the sizes she was. He then asks the guy if he had a crush on her. He nods. Anderson says that the girl told him that the professor said he was gay. Anderson has no problem with them, but he states he isn't. He aks the guy why he would do what he did to him, and the guy said because he is an @sshole. Anderson says bingo and Mic Checks him into the mat. Just then, Hulk Hogan's music hits and both him and Eric Bischoff come down the ramp. Eric holds up a sign from the crowd that says "Eric Bischoff is a Genius" and Hulk holds a sign that says "Hulk Hogan made wrestling". They get in the ring and Eric begins to talk.

Eric says he is a genuis, but he doesn't know what Hulk sees in Hogan. He then insults Anderson and all of his work. He then questions how the network is going to like this. Eric says Ken is a bad example. He then states that it's Hulk's call because he doesn't know what to do with him. Hulk says whoa, whoa, whoa as he actually likes what he is seeing with him attacking the professor. He then turns around and states that Anderson is breaking his rules and he does not like that at all. Hulk gives Anderson something to think about. He states taht Anderson won't get a rematch until he deserves it. Anderson has a rematch contract that Dixie Carter signed, but that isn't worth anything as Hulk is in charge now! Hulk announces that Anderson will face RVD tonight. If he beats RVD, then he will get a rematch. Anderson states that RVD isn't even in his league. RVD's music hits and he makes his down the ring! What is on his mind? The show fades.

The show comes back and RVD is already talking. He is talking to Anderson as he is heard saying that Anderson shouldn't be surprised. RVD asks Anderson if he has any funny words to say. Anderson says he will say them later because the "idiot" Hogan made the match. Hogan said he would like that because he will send Anderson back to his professor of his. RVD then turns to Hogan and says he is questioning his status with TNA. Vince Russo, Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff, and Hogan called him and he said he came in because of Hogan being serious about it. Hogan said RVD can be himself, so he wants to be himself. Just then, Sting's music hits and he comes on stage with a mic.

Sting says that this is all funny as Eric and Hogan are actually acting like they are in charge. He said that the network called him and said he is the special enforcer in the RVD vs. Anderson match tonight. If anything goes wrong, then he (Sting) will be in charge! Hogan is furious! Sting leaves.

They hype a special challenge that Ric Flair will give to his former Fortune friends. They then replay AJ vs. Bully Ray match as they show the highlights. They gave an update on AJ as they said they aren't sure when he will be able to come back. Knockout action is up next!

She falls on her back. Tara does a standing moonsault, goes for the cover, but only gets a two. Mickie gets in the corner, Tara runs to her, but Mickie hits her with an elbow. Mickie jumps on the shoulders of Tara, but Tara does a great powerbomb, but only gets a 2. Tara goes to the top rope, but Mickie leans on the ropes and Tara falls right on the corner. Anderson is backstage as he is in the face of Sting. Anderson says he stole his title as he deserved a rematch. Sting said he got the title and now the network has him as enforcer. Anderson doesn't like that either. He questions what or who the network really is, but Sting says, "It's just the network." Sting walks away.

    -Commercial

The show returns with Hulk in his office. RVD comes and knocks on the door. Hogan tells him to come in. He then explains to RVD that he is actually right. He tells RVD that he is the guy. RVD knows what Hulk has been through in the past couple of years, but Hulk doesn't want to have that as an excuse. Hulk is in RVD's corner. RVD stands up and then repeats to Hogan that he is in his corner. Hulk says all the way. RVD says alright and leaves. Hogan then laughs and says RVD is an idiot.

Ric Flair's music hits and he comes down to the ring with Bully Ray and Matt Hardy. They get in the ring and the crowd boos it up. Ric says that is the reponse he wants to hear. He then states that he is God and he is going to pass the mic over today. He does his WOOOOO and gives it to Matt. Matt talks about the road he took and how he changed the business forever. He said that everything was so colorful and perfect, but it was all a scene from a fairy tail. He says that everyone who was above them that complimented them actually stabbed them in the back as hard and as fast as they could. Matt says they aren't going to do that to Fortune, they are just going to take them out. Bully gets on the mic and compliments Matt. Bully talks to AJ and what he did to him last week. Bully then says that it would be Fortune vs. the three of them. Fortune, Kazarian, Robert Roode, and Chris Harris, come out to the ring and all hell breaks loose! The newest member and Devon stay in the ring while Morgan and Hernandez are fighting outside, but that doesn't last long as it changes places. Morgan then closelines Hernandez over the top rope. Matt and Devon are outside as Rosita and Sarita are talking to them. Velvet Sky runs out and beats both of them up, but a 2 on 1 never works out well as Rosita and Sarita beat down on Sky as she is down on the ground. Now Angelina Love slowly walks down the ramp. She stares at Sky. She has a very strange look on her face. Winter then comes out and SCREAMS Love's name. She turns around to Winter and slowly walks to her and then backstage. Winter smiles. RVD comes back now as Ken tried to plant his head in the corner, but Rob does a kick to the face. He then does his split-legged moonsault, covers, but gets a two. Mr. Anderson is shown backstage and he says he did everything and then he asks Sting why he is afraid of him.

Sting is backstage and Sting says he doesn't know who rang the bell. Mr. Anderson comes up to him and questions him about the bell. Sting says he doesn't know, but that doesn't matter as they attack each other with fists to the head and back. Officials come out and break it up. Sting tells him to check his facts first. Anderson says the Wizard of Oz rang the bell! The show fades.

    - Last night's WWE Monday Night RAW drew a 3.3 cable rating with 5.1 million viewers, down from 3.64 (5.8 million viewers) last week. It's safe to say WWE isn't happy with the rating falling so close to Wrestlemania.

Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 03/23/2011 at 12:38 PM

TNA had been advertising Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy for the Lockdown VIP weekend on April 16th and 17th before the pay-per-view. New listings have Jeff's name removed. The meet and greet now involves Matt, Sting, Ric Flair, Mick Foley and Hulk Hogan.

There has been talk within TNA that they won't be using Jeff until his legal situation is resolved, which could be after April 20th when he returns to court.

What Happened After RAW Went Off The Air
Posted by Dave Mitchell on 03/22/2011 at 01:08 AM

After Monday's episode of WWE RAW from Pittsburgh went off the air, it was time for the dark match main event.

CM Punk teamed up with Sheamus against John Cena and Triple H. The match did not go for too long, with both Cena and Triple H hitting all their signature moves.

The finish came when Cena and Triple H simultaneously and Cena pinned Punk. The heels left the ring and Cena and Triple H celebrated for a few minutes before heading to the back.

U.S. Champion Sheamus def. Evan Bourne
    Divas Champion Eve def. Maryse
WWE Tag Team Champions The Corre def. Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov
Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero & Lay-Cool def. John Morrison & Trish Stratus
Rey Mysterio def. Randy Orton by Count-out

PITTSBURGH - With less than two weeks until WrestleMania XXVII, the capacity crowd inside the CONSOL Energy Center witnessed the topsy-turvy world of Monday Night Raw, where anyone and anything can get turned on its head, including the WWE Championship.

John Cena confronted WWE Champion The Miz (WATCH | PHOTOS)
While WWE Champion The Miz was busy rewriting history, John Cena told the WWE Universe, he would be busy making it. He did not disappoint.

After The Miz was introduced by his new “Vice President of Corporate Communications,” Alex Riley, he went to great lengths to boast about his title reign. So self-absorbed became The Cleveland Screamer, in fact, that he unveiled a new WWE Championship with the title’s “W” permanently affixed in an upside down “M” position.

As Miz basked in his own self-grandeur, Cena chimed in on the TitanTron. He informed the man who had attacked him for weeks in a row that he’d been watching, he just hadn’t said where. Although The Cleveland Screamer was under the impression The Cenation Commander-in-Chief was at home, he was actually in the arena – and zeroing in fast.

The Awesome One and his lackey were confronted headlong by Cena, and the three crashed into the ring. At one point, Riley helped free his boss, who quickly bolted from the ring. As the WWE Champion looked back, his “VP of Corporate Communications” suffered an especially merciless thumping from The Cenation Commander-in-Chief.

Rey Mysterio def. Randy Orton by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS)
There are some lines you just don’t cross – unless, of course, you’re CM Punk. As his WrestleMania opponent, Randy Orton, faced off with Rey Mysterio in a WrestleMania 22 rematch, The Second City Savior had unholy intentions. Just when it appeared The Viper was verging on victory, Punk appeared on the TitanTron standing outside Orton’s private bus and intimating that he was preparing to confront Orton’s wife inside.

WWE’s Apex Predator fled the ring and bolted for his bus outside, resulting in a loss by count-out. When he arrived, Orton found his wife terrified but safe. Punk then ambushed his WrestleMania foe, leaving him crumpled on the asphalt.

Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero & Lay-Cool def. John Morrison & Trish Stratus in a 4-on-2 Handicap Intergender Tag Team Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Despite trying her best not to get involved in the 4-on-2 Handicap Intergender Tag Team Match, Vickie Guerrero actually secured the win for her team. With a great deal of help from her teammates, boyfriend Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool, the callous cougar pinned John Morrison as his partner, Trish Stratus, looked on helplessly.

John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler ended in a No Contest (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Sparks flew when two of WWE’s most electrifying Superstars clashed. A high energy battle between John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler ensued in the run up to their Six-Person Tag Team Match at WrestleMania, which will pit Morrison, Trish Stratus & Jersey Shore’s Snooki against Ziggler, Layla & Michelle McCool. Rather than finish the bout, however, the match ended in a no contest when Stratus struck Lay-Cool. As a result, a 4-on-2 Handicap Intergender Tag Team Match was arranged by the anonymous Raw GM pitting Morrison & Stratus against Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero & Lay-Cool.

Michael Cole and his trainer Jack Swagger attacked Jerry “The King” Lawler (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Like a rat scurrying into his hole at the first sign of danger, Michael Cole has perfected the spineless retreat. After indefensibly attacking the name of Jerry “The King” Lawler’s father, the Raw announcer scampered off into his protective, plastic announcer’s booth. From inside the crybaby cube, Cole watched his trainer, Jack Swagger, attack Lawler. Certain that Lawler was incapacitated, Cole emerged from his hole and snapped on a vicious ankle lock. For more insults from Cole, be sure to check out his comments on Twitter by clicking here.

John Cena interviewed via satellite (WATCH)
Having suffered a ferocious attack the week prior at the hands of WWE Champion The Miz, John Cena told the WWE Universe, via satellite, that he had opted to stay home to recover. When asked if he still underestimates his WrestleMania opponent, The Cenation Commander-in-Chief insisted he did not, and that his focus is squarely on Miz and not on the appearance of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on next week's Raw.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Corre def. Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov (WATCH | PHOTOS)
If there were a list of “People You Do Not Want to Anger,” Big Show and Kane would surely hover at the top. Unfortunately for The Corre, they’re learning that a bit too late. When WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater prevailed over Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, their Corre brethren joined in the beatdown. Their actions prompted The World’s Largest Athlete and The Big Red Monster, who were ambushed by The Corre on SmackDown, to enter the fray and destroy every Corre member in sight.

Divas Champion Eve def. Maryse (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Divas Champion Eve may have faced conceited Diva Maryse, but her real anger emerged after their match. The lovely Latina proved she’s worthy of wearing the butterfly when she defeated her French-Canadian foe. She then had to deal with more cowardly company. Safely inside a protective, plastic announce booth, Michael Cole once again belittled the Divas’ efforts. As a result, Eve berated the Raw announcer and slapped him across the face. For his part, Cole dismissed her and continued his tirade from the safety of his crybaby cube.

U.S. Champion Sheamus def. Evan Bourne, WrestleMania Match set (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Sheamus continues to roll in clover. After his surprising title victory last week, the new U.S. Champion maintained momentum with a victory over Evan Bourne this week in a non-title match.

After the bout, former U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan challenged The Celtic Warrior to a title rematch at WrestleMania by invoking his rematch clause. Afterward, the Irishman leveled Bryan on the spot.

Triple H invited The Undertaker to next Raw (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Two weeks before the most consequential match of his career, Triple H invited his WrestleMania opponent, The Undertaker, to show up on Raw the following Monday. As he mentioned the need to get something off his chest, he was interrupted by Ted DiBiase. The hapless Superstar told Triple H that one way of putting his wayward career back on track would be to “take out” The Cerebral Assassin.

Easier said than done. After trading a few blows with DiBiase, The Game convincingly overpowered him. Perhaps sending a message to the man with the WrestleMania streak, Triple H ploughed The “Unfortunate Son” through the announce table with a Pedigree.

Husky Harris Debuts a New Masked Look and Finisher
Posted by Steve Carrier on 03/21/2011 at 11:25 AM

    - Husky Harris, who was demoted last month to Florida Championship Wrestling (though officially still listed as a RAW Superstar), recently debuted a masked character in the developmental promotion.

Paying homage to his grandfather, WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan, Harris appeared at the March 9 and 16 FCW live events as Axl Mulligan. His appearance is similar to the Hannibal Lecter character from The Silence of the Lambs. Harris wears jeans and a black Misfits T-shirt to go along with the mask.

Harris is also using the Stone Cold Stunner as his finishing maneuver. He beat Ricardo Rodriguez with the move last Wednesday, and then struck Brodus Clay during a post-match brawl.

It is unclear as to whether the character will continue as Harris appeared as himself at last Thursday's FCW live event, one day removed from appearing as the masked persona.

WWE doesn't want to be a wrestling company?

WWE doesn't want to be a wrestling company?
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 03/21/2011 at 01:54 AM

A publicist for WWE demanded last week that a television industry news website not refer to them as a wrestling company.

The website in question, TVWeek.com, ran a story on Drew Carey's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame last week with the headline "Drew Carey Inducted Into Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Huh? Drew Carey??!!" The headline drew the ire of WWE publicist Kellie Baldyga, who sent a stern e-mail to the author demanding that the headline be 'corrected'.

Baldyga wrote in her email, “We are no longer a wrestling company but rather a global entertainment company with a movie studio, international licensing deals, publisher of three magazines, consumer good distributor and more.”

During a subsequent phone conversation, the publicist stated, "No, we don't do wrestling events. They're entertainments. And we don't call them wrestlers. They're superstars and divas."

Rather than change the headline, the article was removed from the website altogether. Baldyga sent a follow-up e-mail, reading, "I know the perception is that we are a wrestling company but we are actually much more than that--we are a global media company which is how our Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, positions us."

    Raw Star To SmackDown?

    Raw Star To SmackDown?

    - Ted DiBiase made his first television appearance since February 24 on Friday's episode of SmackDown, losing to Rey Mysterio in a quick match. He was not the only Raw Superstar to compete on the show as Sheamus beat Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston in a Non-Title Match earlier in the broadcast. It's interesting to note that a SmackDown name plate was displayed during DiBiase's ring entrance, whereas a Raw name plate was displayed when Sheamus made his entrance.
