Many Fans Upset at Last Night's Raw Event Posted by Steve Carrier on 03/01/2011 at 11:20 AM
Thanks to reader M. Straw for sending along the following notes from Raw last night in Buffalo, N.Y.
The arena was old out at 16,700.
We were told The Rock would be appearing via satellite right before he appeared, which really took the crowd out of the promo.
Buffalo has always had a nice, loud crowd, but many were disappointed due to all of promos and taped clips. It took them out of it very early.
The only true pops were for Triple H, John Cena, and Randy Orton.
As I said, the crowd was dead for Raw. they were more into it for the dark match and Superstars taping. We like wrestling here, not a bunch of squash matches and endless promos.
- Several readers from Canada sent word that there was a "TV-14" rating displayed before tonight's RAW. If that's the case, this could be due to the more edgier promos by The Rock and John Cena, among others over the past few weeks.
- One of The Bella Twins became the new #1 contender to Eve Torres' Divas Title on tonight's RAW after the Twins did the usual switch to win a battle royal.
Evan Bourne def. Sheamus Randy Orton def. Michael McGillicutty Brie Bella won a No. 1 Contender's Diva Battle Royal U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal ended in a No Contest Johne Cena def. Alex Riley in a Steel Cage Match
BUFFALO, N.Y. - As the WWE Universe looked on, an entire galaxy of Superstars appeared inside the HSBC Arena. While several triumphed in their insults and in-ring endeavors, others crashed as if flying over nearby Niagara Falls in a barrel.
John Cena def. Alex Riley in a Steel Cage Match (WATCH | PHOTOS | TWEETED PHOTOS) Rarely has social media been so unsociable. During a Steel Cage Match between John Cena and Alex Riley, WWE Champion The Miz used his cell phone to tweet out a photo of his WrestleMania opponent with his face pressed against the unforgiving steel grid. He then tossed the phone to Riley, who used it to clock his opponent in the face.
In the end, though, Riley lost the match and his job as a result. As stipulated, the frat-boy fighter was forced to retire as Mizs apprentice after his defeat. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief did not celebrate long, however, before Miz ambushed him with a Skull Crushing Finale onto the cold, hard arena floor.
U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal ended in a No Contest (WATCH | PHOTOS) The scheduled match between United States Daniel Bryan and William Regal was over before it even began. As the U.S. Champion approached the ring, WWE Champion The Miz ambushed him. As a result, Bryans match with Regal was proclaimed a no contest. The Cleveland Screamer described his motivation for the attack by simply saying that Raw is his show.
Dwayne The Rock Johnson rebutted John Cenas comments from last week (WATCH) After suffering a barrage of verbal grenades from John Cena the week prior, Dwayne The Rock Johnson returned fire. The host of WrestleMania mocked the Dr. of Thuganomics rapping skills. He then went on to tell the WWE Universe that Cena unjustly called him a liar, that he loves the WWE and that he will soon confront Cena face-to-face.
Shawn Michaels discussed Triple H vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania (WATCH) Shawn Michaels, the man who founded D-Generation X with Triple H and faced The Undertaker in classic showdowns the past two WrestleManias, offered his thoughts on the powerhouse clash. HBK told the WWE Universe that he has mixed emotions, but he's rooting for his friend Triple H to emerge victorious.
Brie Bella won a No. 1 Contenders Diva Battle Royal (WATCH | PHOTOS) Do you believe in magic? If youre Brie Bella, you have every reason to. The beautiful and cunning Diva emerged victorious against Natalya, Gail Kim, Tamina, Maryse, Alicia Fox, Melina and her sister Nikki. As Divas Champion Eve looked on, The Bella Twins hoodwinked the referee and performed Twin Magic to lock up the win for Brie.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk WrestleMania match announced; The Viper def. Michael McGillicutty (WATCH | PHOTOS) The Raw General Manager has proven he or she is as astute as they are anonymous. Sensing that tensions between Randy Orton and CM Punk have risen to uncontrollable heights, the GM declared that the two will settle their substantial differences on a stage equally as grand, WrestleMania XXVII.
During the announcement, the GM also revealed that Orton must face every one of Punks New Nexus disciples in singles matches over the next few weeks. If The Viper defeats that member, they are banned from WrestleMania. However, should any member defeat Orton, that member is permitted to be in Punks corner at The Show of Shows. Not only that, if any New Nexus member interferes, the group will be disbanded.
So far, Orton 1 New Nexus 0. WWEs Apex Predator battled Michael McGillicutty and managed to defeat the fellow third-generation Superstar. Dealing a further blow to The Second City Savior, Orton punted McGillicutty in the head after Punk pleaded that he show restraint.
Stone Cold Steve Austin to return to Raw next week The Texas Rattlesnake returns! The host of WWEs Tough Enough program, Stone Cold Steve Austin, will make his way back to Raw next Monday night. Theres no telling what might happen, so dont miss any of the action!
Michael Cole agreed to a WrestleMania match against Jerry The King Lawler (WATCH | PHOTOS) After scurrying away last week in the face of a challenge by his fellow announcer Jerry The King Lawler, Michael Cole returned to Raw with a change of heart. After inviting Lawler into the ring, Cole agreed to face him in a match at WrestleMania under two conditions. First, the bigheaded broadcaster would get to name a special guest referee. Second, during the bout he would get to have in his corner the Superstar who will train him, Jack Swagger!
Once Lawler agreed to the conditions, Swagger approached the ring and he and Cole attacked the WWE Hall of Famer with The All-American American snapping on an ankle lock.
Evan Bourne def. King Sheamus (WATCH | PHOTOS) King Sheamus continued the tumble off his throne. His latest unceremonious defeat came compliments of Evan Bourne, who reemerged on Raw for the first time in months. The high-flyer prevailed in the wake of a Triple H Pedrigree delivered to Sheamus just prior to his bout with Bourne.
Triple H addressed the WWE Universe; Sheamus confronted The Game (WATCH | PHOTOS) After months away from Raw recuperating from an injury suffered at the hands of Sheamus, Triple H has returned with renewed determination. The Cerebral Assassin explained to the WWE Universe that, although he has accomplished an enormous amount in WWE, he has yet to enjoy an unadulterated WrestleMania moment, one not overshadowed by other Superstars. Were he to defeat The Undertaker and put an end to The Deadmans undefeated streak at The Show of Shows, then, and only then, could he experience such a moment.
After The King of Kings speech, the man who hobbled him months earlier paid a visit. King Sheamus interrupted and swaggered up to Triple H. It was unclear precisely what the Irishman expected, but what he received instead was a long overdue Pedigree through an announce table. Time to pay The Game, indeed.

Rey Mysterio def. Kane Rosa Mendes def. Layla Disqualification Jack Swagger def. Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston Non-title Match Big Show def. Wade Barrett Count-out World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Kelly Kelly def. Drew McIntyre & Vickie Guerrero Mixed Tag Team Match
SACRAMENTO, Calif. As the smoke cleared on an explosive SmackDown main event of retribution, Vickie Guerrero was summarily fired as SmackDowns Official Consultant.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Kelly Kelly def. Drew McIntyre & Vickie Guerrero (WATCH | PHOTOS) Vickie Guerrero took part in the second SmackDown Mixed Tag Team Match in three weeks, knowing that if she and her partner Drew McIntyre lost, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long would fire her as the show's Official Consultant.
When Vickie stood in Edges way as he was about to Spear McIntyre in the climatic moments of the match, Kelly Kelly took her down with The Master Manipulators signature maneuver. The Ultimate Opportunist then followed suit, Spearing the "Chosen One" to seal his ex-wifes fate.
After a jubilant Teddy Long fired his Official Consultant, an hysterical Vickie pledged with everyone she could to keep her job, including Edge himself. This prompted the 11-time World Champion to lead the WWE Universe in another rendition of Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye. However, as The Rated-R Superstar watched Vickie walk off in disgrace, his WrestleMania No. 1 contender Alberto Del Rio attacked him, locking him in his vicious cross armbreaker. (WATCH) (Match preview)
Big Show def. Wade Barrett by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS) With The Corre banned from ringside by order of SmackDown GM Theodore Long Big Show went one-on-one with Wade Barrett. Though Barrett launched an impressive offense against The Worlds Largest Athlete, the giant roared back, leaving his war-torn opponent outside the ring to pick up the victory by count-out. When The Corre reemerged after the match, Big Show blasted WWE Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel with a steel chair and sent the intimidating faction fleeing from the ring.
Jack Swagger def. Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston in a Non-title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite being advised by doctors not to compete just five days after his brutal WWE Elimination Chamber match with Alberto Del Rio (PHOTOS) Kofi Kingston insisted on competing against Jack Swagger. In spite of a valiant effort by Kofi, The All-American American made the high-octane Superstar tap out with his dreaded ankle lock.
Rosa Mendes def. Layla by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS) While Michelle McCool was seated at the announce table, Rosa Mendes knocked her out of her chair, raising the wrath of the flawless Diva. Michelle attacked Rosa, causing her partner-in-flawless to lose by disqualification. Although Layla and Michelle walked out together, the circumstances surrounding the English-born Divas defeat brought noticeable friction between Team Lay-Cool.
Rey Mysterio def. Kane (WATCH | PHOTOS) After suffering the full force of Kanes sadistic brutality, Rey Mysterio charged back to dial-up the 619 on his frightening foe. The Devils Favorite Demon hauled the masked Superstars follow-up attack, catching his prey in mid-air. But, before he could capitalize, Mysterio used his incredible athletic prowess to drop The Big Red Monster to the canvas for the quick pin.
After the match, WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes made a surprise journey to the ring, apologizing to Mysterio for his son Cody Rhodes poor attitude and for his statements blaming the masked Superstar for his injury. When he pushed Cody to apologize as well, the younger Rhodes shook his adversarys hand. However, seconds later, while the senior Rhodes was shaking The Ultimate Underdogs hand, his son attacked, making it clear that the Rhodes family had been scheming together for revenge. The once-Dashing Superstar proceeded to deliver a devastating assault on The Master of the 619 and ripped off his mask off. (WATCH)
After beating ODB, TNA Women's Knockout Champion Madison Rayne continued her open challenge at last night's TNA iMPACT! taping (airdate March 10) in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was answered by Roxxi, who ended the former Voodoo priestess' TNA career last June at Slammiversary in a Title vs. Career Match.
Roxxi was once again defeated by Rayne. The returning Mickie James fended off Rayne following a post-match attack of Roxxi.
The appearance marks Roxxi's fourth return to TNA Wrestling since being released from her contract in April 2009 while serving a 60-day suspension due to a backstage altercation with Rhaka Khan.
- Christian, who resurfaced at Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view to fend off Alberto Del Rio from attacking Edge, is three to four weeks from being medically cleared to resume wrestling.
Vince McMahon High on Cole & Lawler's Storyline Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/24/2011 at 12:20 AM
It's said that Vince McMahon is loving the current Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler storyline as he gets to live vicariously through Cole. Most of Cole's key lines on TV are fed to him by Vince. The current angle with Cole and Lawler is being patterned after Lawler's most famous angle ever, the one in the early 80's with comedian Andy Kaufman.
Last night's episode of TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.26 cable rating, up from the previous week's 1.13. The episode averaged 1,545,000 viewers over the course of two hours.
The Corre def. JTG & Trent Barreta Chris Masters def. Tyler Reks Santino Marella def. Tyson Kidd Daniel Bryan def. Ted DiBiase
Dont know where to catch WWE Superstars? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see WWE Superstars on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.
Daniel Bryan def. Ted DiBiase (WATCH | PHOTOS) Ted DiBiase may have all the money in the world, but his wealth clearly hasnt been buying him happiness in recent weeks. His woes continued tonight against Daniel Bryan, but the events that led to his loss were very out of the ordinary. Locked in a tough battle, DiBiase was distracted by the presence of Yoshi Tatsu at ringside. On last Mondays Raw, the Japanese Superstar got a smooch from Maryse on The Great Khalis KissCam and is now clearly smitten with the French-Canadian beauty. His attempt to woo her tonight sent DiBiase on a tirade and allowed the United States Champion to snap on the LeBell Lock for a submission victory. Ted must be crying all the way to the bank.
Santino Marella def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS) At WWE Elimination Chamber, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov lost their coveted WWE Tag Team Championships to The Corres Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater. But the upbeat Italian Superstar refused to stay down for long. Bouncing back tonight, Marella put on a stellar performance against Tyson Kidd and dropped the young competitor with his dreaded Cobra strike.
Chris Masters def. Tyler Reks (WATCH | PHOTOS) For weeks, Tyler Reks was the most destructive force on WWE Superstars. But the powerful Chris Masters seems to be the first man to figure out how to beat the SmackDown powerhouse. Last Thursday night, The Masterpiece stopped Reks with a devastating Master Lock. Tonight, he used the same approach, battering the big man before applying his vicious hold for his second straight win. Clearly, Masters has Reks number.
The Corre def. JTG & Trent Barreta (WATCH | PHOTOS) Its been a busy week for Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater. On Sunday night, they defeated Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. The following night on Raw, they lost and won their titles back from the unorthodox team of John Cena & The Miz in the very same evening. Tonight, they had their fourth match of the week against the exciting young team of JTG & Trent Barreta and put on their most impressive performance yet. Dominating their opponents, Slater & Gabriel proved that they deserve to wear the titles and that The Corre is a group to fear.
TNA Impact Results Aired On: 2/24/2011 Report by: Stuart Carapola & PWInsider.com
We open with a recap of last week as Jeff Hardy pinned Rob Van Dam on TV and Ric Flair returned to TNA and betrayed Fortune to the shock of nobody, leading to AJ Styles challenging Ric Flair to a match well be lucky to see TONIGHT!
Ken Anderson comes out for our opening promo, bringing a steel chair with him and sitting on it in the middle of the ring. He doesnt care whos calling the shots around here, whether its Hogan, Bischoff, Dixie Carter, or the network, because the contract says he gets a rematch and hes going to do a sit-in in the middle of the ring until he gets it. He doesnt know why the network doesnt like him, and wonders if its because (crowd chants asshole as he seems lost for words) if its because hes an asshole, and then he says asshole about ten more times. He says if thats the case, then Rob Van Dam isnt exactly a law-abiding citizen, and oh wait, RVDs music hits and he comes out because I assume he has something to say to Anderson. Anderson stands up and goes face to face with RVD, who says that he wants to make sure his hearing isnt distorted, and wants to know about the laws of morality and about someone feeding one of his friends to the sharks. He knows Anderson had huge plans when he came to TNA and he knew that those plans might never happen once RVD came to TNA because he knows RVD is better and hes never going to get anywhere near the TNA World Title as long as RVD is in the company. Anderson may be formidable with a mic in his hand, but hes no match for RVD in the ring and now hes going to screw Anderson any way he can. Anderson doesnt care about anything other than getting his rematch for the title, but before they both do something theyre going to regret, lets-
RVD doesnt wait to hear what Andersons got to say before punching him in the face and starting a fight with referees and security coming out to pull them apart. Here he is, Eric Bischoffs music hits and he comes out with Immortal and says it looks like hes got his main event for tonight, because he was going to give Anderson his rematch Anderson and RVD start fighting and need to get pulled apart again Bischoff was going to give Anderson his rematch until he saw the sheer ratings draw in front of him, so instead of the rematch, were going to get Ken Anderson vs Rob Van Dam tonight. Jeff Jarrett whispers something in Bischoffs ear and Bischoff loves it, so since the network loves ratings, its going to be Anderson vs RVD vs Kurt Angle in a three way dance.
Later tonight: Scott Steiner vs Rob Terry in a posedown and AJ Styles takes on Ric Flair!
We go backstage to Scott Steiner, who has been training all week and is now stopping to enjoy some James Storm beer. Eric Young is posing behind Steiner, and says that hes been working on his muscles and asks what he thinks. Steiner says he looks terrible and kicks him out.
We go to a video package where a flamboyant fashion designer shows Jeff & Karen Jarrett different dresses that Karen might like to wear when they renew their vows next week. Jeff gets tired of looking at the guys crappy dresses, so he pours wine for Karen and himself to take the edge off.
We go backstage where the Mysterious Cameraman asks Kurt Angle what he thinks about what the Jarretts are doing, and he says giving Karen away isnt going to be a problem because he couldnt give her away fast enough. As for Anderson and RVD, no disrepsect to them but hes in a bad mood tonight.
Lets go to the ring for our opening match
Orlando Jordan & Eric Young vs Gunner & Murphy
Beer Money join Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary for this match. Murphy tries to charge Young so Young dodges and Jordan rams Murphys face into his crotch, so Gunner tags in and criss crosses with Eric for about 20 minutes, then Eric dropped down, then they criss-crossed again and Gunner blew up, so Jordan grabs Gunners ass from outside the ring. They criss cross some more and Gunner takes a shot at Jordan, then lays Young out and tags out to Murphy so he can dish out some punishment. Young hits a chinbreaker, then pulls his pants down so Murphy kills him with a clothesline and then has one for Jordan. Gunner & Murphy hit a Demolition Decapitator for what I believe to be their first win ever.
Winners: Gunner & Murphy
With this win, Gunner & Murphy will challenge Beer Money for the TNA World Tag Team Title on Impact next week which is actually being taped right now!
We go backstage where Angelina Love is trying to talk Velvet Sky out putting her career on the line against Sarita. Angelina says its not her, its Sarita, but Velvet says she needs to be alone now and kicks Angelina out.
We go back to the Impact Zone, where an emotional Brother Devon comes out to apologize to his boys, because a fathers worst dream is being unable to protect his own kids, and thats what happened at Against All Odds. The boys loved him, looked up to them, and called them uncle, but he put his hands on them. He wants to apologize to the family, but most of all the boys because he wasnt there to protect them, and he promises them that this will not go unanswered. Bully Ray appears on the video screen and calls him a weak piece of crap. Hes beating up a backstage hands and asks how the boys how theyre doing after he put one of them through a table and gave him a concussion, then gave the other one whiplash. Just so Devon doesnt forget what he did to his little bastards, hes going to put this BROTHA through a table to remind him that he was always the leader of Team 3D and he was just a follower. He goes to pick the kid up, but Tommy Dreamer comes out of nowhere and attacks Bully Ray, beating him out to the Impact Zone and onto the rampway. Devon grabs a chair and takes a wild swing that Ray dodges, and Ray gets away as security comes out to break it up. Devon tries to break free and takes another wild swing and accidentally punches Dreamer in the face. Devon gets pissed when he realizes what he just did, but we barely have time to take it in before
We go backstage to Madison Rayne & Tara, and Madison says she is tired of people saying she cant keep her title without Taras help, so no matter who accepts the open challenge tonight, Madison wants her to stay in the back.
Earlier tonight, AJ Styles said hes not standing in anyones shadow any more because he built this company, so hes going to step out of Ric Flairs shadow and take care of business like only AJ Styles can.
Back to the ring
Brutus Magnus vs Crimson
Magnus grabs a mic before the match and tells Crimson that hes great in a lot of ways, though none of which as much as him. The difference is that hes not carrying Kurt Angles bags around. Crimson responds by ripping his head off with a clothesline and hits a T-Bone Suplex. Crimson with a three quarter nelson and a kneestrike to the face, then turns it into a rolling neckbreaker. Magnus snaps his head down on the top rope and hits a big boot to the face and goes for the MDD, but Crimson reverses to the Red Alert for the win.
Winner: Crimson
Rob Van Dam is backstage, and hes not sure what this match tonight is about: entertaining Bischoff, evening the score with Ken Anderson, or moving back to the World Title. Either way, hes coming out on top tonight.
Rob Terry is backstage, and hes LUMBERING!
All right, its time for the moment weve all been waiting for
Super Posedown: Rob Terry vs Scott Steiner
Rob Terry says he doesnt know who the hell Scott Steiner thinks he is, but hes going to prove that hes the best built man in the history of the business and the real Genetic Freak of TNA. Scott Steiner comes out in a suit, and he says that the best thing for Rob Terry is that hes in a good mood, but he better not call himself a genetic freak because theres only one genetic freak and its him because hes been a Genetic Freak since he was **** ******* ***** his moms ****** ******. He says he looks more like a chemical disaster than a Genetic Freak, and he came from the bodybuilding world and tried to come into his world, but hes not going to come out in Speedos all oiled up. Rob Terry asks him if hes afraid, but Steiner says hes going to go get in the back, put on his wrestling gear, and if Rob Terrys still out here when he gets back, hes going to kick his ass. Terry says its just like an American to run away when he sees someone bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter. Steiner comes back in and gets ready to show Terry how Americans do things, but Terry instead show how the Welsh do things by nailing Steiner from behind and choking him out with his jumprope thing. Actually, thats not fair to say about the Welsh, since Terry Jones is awesome. Okay, Im cool with the Welsh again. As for this match, lets call it
No Contest
Velvet Sky runs into Winter backstage, and Winter asks if she has better things to worry about than her, and says now that theyre friends, people around here doubt her abilities and dont think she can get the job done. Shed love to see her go out there and get the job done like when she and Angelina won the Knockouts Tag Team Title. Velvet says that when shes done with Sarita shes coming for her ass.
Ric Flair is backstage, and hes WALKING!
We catch up with the Jarretts again, this time at the church speaking to the priest whos going to perform the ceremony. Karen says they actually got married a few months ago, but they want the whole world and especially Kurt to see their love. The priest doesnt know who Kurt is, so Karen says its her ex-husband and she wants him to hand Karen over to her big daddy and the King Of The Mountain. The priest is aghast because this is blasphemous, and Jeff argues that it doesnt matter because the church is non-denominational.
Back to the Impact Zone where Ric Flair comes out to say stuff well remember for the rest of our lives. He says its hard to be humble when youre the Nature Boy, and he tells some skank at ringside that hes going to give her a ride on Space Mountain. He knows AJ Styles is backstage because he saw him all day long, and he wants him to come out here, get down on his hands and knees, and apologize. AJ joins Flair in the ring, and AJ says he was avoiding Flair because he wanted to beat the piss out of him and peel his head like an onion, but hes not going to do that because he wont let Flair get to him. Flair says that Fortune doesnt do anything without Flair giving the okay, and AJ says they didnt tell Flair what they were going to do because Flair would try to talk them out of it. Flair says he had been trying to teach them how to walk the path of greatness, and now hes going to teach them about respect and he slaps AJ. AJ flips and attacks Flair, but Hernandez comes out of nowhere and attacks AJ from behind, wraps his t-shirt around AJs neck, and tosses him across the ring. He takes a charge at AJ but gets backdropped to the floor and AJ goes back after Flair. Hernandez grabs AJ again and grabs AJ in a full nelson, but AJ lowblows both of them in one fluid motion and then hits a Pelle Kick on Hernandez, then tears Flairs pants up. AJ takes Flair to the floor and rams him into the guardrail and you guessed it, Flair bladed. Flair tries to escape back into the ring but AJ follows him in and beats him up some more, so Hernandez gets back in the ring AGAIN and kicks AJ to the floor and then press slams him face first onto the apron. Hernandez rolls AJ back into the ring, but AJ baseball slides him and hits a dive to wipe Hernandez out and then goes back after Flair, tearing his pants completely off and then going after his shirt as well. Flair does the Flop, but AJ is undeterred and goes for the Styles Clash but Hernandez comes back in and clotheslines AJ, then tackles him hard into the corner and the two of them now start to work AJ over until the rest of Fortune runs out to make the save. About time they showed up! Matt Morgan runs out and nails Hernandez from behind and then beats him all the way to the back of the Impact Zone.
Ken Anderson is backstage and says that Bischoff has been stacking the deck against him for months, but now he doesnt care about anyone or anything but regaining the TNA World Title.
We look at what I think is the same video package from last week where we recap everything from Hulk Hogan coming to TNA all the way up to Dixie Carter serving Hulk Hogan with an injunction that put him out of action since Thanksgiving. Next week: Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter come face to face as we hear the verdict that will decide the future of TNA!
Back to the ring for Madison Raynes Open Challenge, and Madison says that every time TNA has set up an opponent for her, shes taken great pleasure in knocking them down, so she knows her opponent for tonight is backstage and wants her to come out now and face her. Hey, look who it is!
Madison Rayne vs ODB
ODB tackles Madison Rayne and slams her hard, then takes her to the corner and unloads with a series of hard chops. ODB goes for the Bronco Buster but Madison dodges the move and gouges the eyes, then does her move where she humps ODBs head into the mat over and over. Madison ducks a clothesline and hits a lungblower, but ODB fights back and runs Madison over with shoulderblocks. ODB with a fallaway slam and a kip up and then hits the Bronco Buster, but Madison gets her neckbreaker with a knee thing and gets the win.
Winner: Madison Rayne
We go backstage to Velvet Sky, who is sick of people talking **** about her, so she goes into Saritas locker room and accept Saritas challenge to wrestle her next week. Sarita makes sure her career is going to be on the line and Velvet says yes, her career will be on the line. Sarita is really impressed with her, so she gives her word that shes not going to pull any tricks and itll be the two of them one on one next week. They shake on it and Velvet leaves, then Sarita and Rosita crack up when she leaves and Sarita says shes going to screw her so hard shell have trouble walking.
Our main event is up next! And I bet well really have more video packages and stuff before we get there!
Matt Morgan is backstage gloating about kicking Hernandezs ass, and as his former partner, Hernandez knew how much the World Title meant to him and thats when he chose to return out of nowhere and take it from him, his wife, his father, and his mother, so what we just saw was his comeuppance. The Mystery Cameraman asks what Morgans going to do on March 3rd, and Morgan says hes going to give him a North Carolina ass whupping, because payback in a mother******.
We go back to the Jarretts on the move again, and Jeff is getting measured for his tux and wants Kurt measured for a tux as well, especially his big fat head. Karen wonders what Kurt is going to think when he hands her over to Jeff next week, and Jeff says hes going to realize that Jeff took his bride and now hes going to hand her over to the King Of The Mountain.
We take a look back at October when J Woww showed up on Impact and beat the crap out of Cookie. Next week, Angelina from the Jersey Shore will be on TV to call out J Woww. I cant wait.
Its main event time! Looks like I was right about those video packages, huh?
Rob Van Dam vs Ken Anderson vs Kurt Angle
They circle each other and then RVD and Angle beat up Anderson, then Angle gets knocked to the floor so RVD continues working Anderson over with a monkey flip and a spinkick in the corner. RVD hits a clothesline on Angle and hits Rolling Thunder, but Anderson nails him from behind and hits a spinning neckbreaker. Angle comes in and nails Anderson and hits a snap suplex and then rips Andersons head off with a clothesline. Angle and RVD face off and Angle goes to the ropes, but Anderson pulls the top rope down and Angle tumbles to the floor. RVD goes after Anderson but Angle grabs Anderson by the ankle and drags him out to the floor and they fight it out until RVD hits a somersault dive and all three men are down on the floor as we go to commercial.
Were back and Angle and RVD are duking it out in the ring and RVD hits a spinkick and goes for a monkey flip, but Angle turns it around and sits RVD on top, RVD kicks him out and loses his footing, then recovers and hits a top rope jumpkick for 2. RVD backdrops Angle to the floor and Anderson comes in and hits a really ugly back suplex on RVD and a running kneedrop for 2. Anderson goes to a top wristlock, but RVD fights his way out and kicks Anderson in the face and then hits a springboard jumpkick. Angle pops back in and starts laying out both men with clotheslines and gives RVD an overhead belly to belly and then hits the Rolling Germans on Anderson and follows that up with a full rotation German on RVD and the Angle Slam on Anderson. RVD finally breaks Angles momentum with a superkick right to the jaw and then goes for the Five Star, but Angle suplexes him off the top rope and RVD rolls to the floor. Anderson goes for the Mic Check, but Angle counters and DRILLS him with a T-Bone Suplex. Angle goes for the Ankle Lock, but wedding music starts playing and the Jarretts come out to distract Angle and allow Anderson to hit the Mic Check for the win.
Winner: Ken Anderson
The Jarretts kiss and give Angle an evil smirk as they head to the back and Mike Tenay and Taz hype the big show next week in North Carolina thats being taped now, and well see Angelina from Jersey Shore, Bart Scott, Hernandez vs Matt Morgan, Beer Money defends the TNA World Tag Team Title against Gunner & Murphy, Velvet Sky puts her career on the line against Sarita, the Jarretts renew their vows, and the verdict in the case of Carter vs Hogan will be announced! Oh wait, we have some footage in the production truck, and its a guy in a trenchcoat and boots walking around in the rain, ending with the inscription 3/3/11.

In the episode, Angelina will meet and partner with the wrestling duo The Shore, comprised of Cookie and Robbie E, and make her professional wrestling debut in the TNA ring. Angelina and The Shore share a mutual hatred of Jersey Shore star, J-WOWW, whom she will challenge publicly to meet her in the ring for a full-on brawl.
Last October, J-WOWW made an appearance on TNA where she pounded the trash-talking Cookie (who bares a striking resemblance to Snooki).
This special TNA iMPACT! event tapes Thursday, February 24 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC. TNA iMPACT airs on Spike TV Thursdays at 9:00pm ET/PT.

-- It's said that Kazuchika Okada was shoehorned into the role of Samoa Joe's lackey because TNA Wrestling officials 'feel obligated' to use him due to a working agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Okada, whom the company signed a year ago, was completely relegated to Xplosion until last month when he has revealed as the camera man whom Joe had hired to follow "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero.
