2 worstelaars van de main rosters gehaald

Two wrestlers pulled from main WWE roster

WWE has pulled the profiles of Kevin Thorn and Drew McIntyre from the company website. Both wrestlers haven't appeared in a WWE ring in months. Back in November, Thorn got a new look, but fizzled and was sent back down to Ohio Valley Wrestling. His status remains in question as he has yet to debut in Florida Championship Wrestling. McIntyre was in OVW for about two weeks before being brought up to the SmackDown roster in October. His call-up may have been premature as McIntyre wrestled a total of three TV matches during his three month stay on the blue brand. He was moved to Raw at the end of December, but wrestled only one television match for the brand, which occurred on the first WWE.com Heat of the new year. He was pulled from the road sometime in January, and has been in Florida Championship Wrestling ever since.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry (No Contest)

    Undertaker vs. Batista (double count-out)

LONDON – With Backlash just nine nights away, SmackDown traveled to the U.K. to the delight of a sold-out O2 Arena packed with more than 17,000 of our fans. Talk about getting your money’s worth. Our fans experienced a clash of the titans as The World’s Largest Athlete, Big Show (441 pounds), collided with the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry (392 pounds). Then, just when you thought the ring couldn’t hold much more humanity, The Great Khali (7-foot-3, 420-pounds) entered the fray to lift Big Show clear off the canvas and deliver a stunning Khali Bomb. The two titans are set to clash again at Backlash in what is certain to be an epic battle.

    Backlash bound
With Matt Hardy looking on as a guest commentator, United States Champion MVP Montel Vontavious Porter pinned Tommy Dreamer after a vicious kick to the skull. Although Dreamer would have liked to make a better showing for his first-ever appearance on SmackDown, he had the misfortune of going up against a focused Matt Hardy – who has his sights set on arch-rival MVP and the U.S. Championship at Backlash.

    Water wars
Coming off last week’s loss to Finlay – which Matt Striker called an embarrassment – the former teacher was again schooled by some father and son shenanigans. To start his match against Striker, Hornswoggle playfully juggled tennis balls, which he then threw at the self-proclaimed smartest WWE Superstar. The hijinks continued as Finlay handed his son an array of water guns hidden under the ring, which Hornswoggle used to soak Striker. Finally, Finlay intervened in the action, knocking Striker out cold with his shillelagh. With Striker down, Hornswoggle went in for the Tadpole Splash and the victory.

    My bodyguard
With burly bodyguard Bam Neely keeping close watch at ringside, Chavo Guerrero got the pinfall over Jamie Noble after delivering a Frog Splash. Following Chavo’s victory, Neely – a former border patrol agent – maliciously slammed the vulnerable Noble to the mat. With the ECW Championship on the line against Kane at Backlash, what more will the bodyguard be willing to do for the Mexican Warrior?

    First time’s a charm
Things weren’t looking too good for Cherry in her first one-on-one match on SmackDown. She fell victim to a relentless onslaught from Victoria, featuring two punishing sessions in the camel clutch and a brutal kick to the skull. To top things off, Cherry didn’t have friends Deuce and Domino at ringside. But, she did have the support of fellow Diva Michelle McCool – who proved to be her ace in the deck. While McCool distracted Victoria, Cherry was able to capitalize and get the surprising victory.

    Russian superpower
For the second week in a row, the domineering force that is 300-pound Vladimir Kozlov put away his opponent with a reverse DDT. This week it was London local Leroy Kincaid who was added to Kozlov’s list of victims. With such a raw display of power, will anyone be able to stop this Russian juggernaut?

    Never ending rivalries
Since Batista and Shawn Michaels have been at serious odds over HBK ending Ric Flair’s career, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel has served as the stage for the Backlash opponents to take out their emotions. Unfortunately for the champion host, he has been at the business end of the aggression. On Raw, HBK delivered some hard-hitting Sweet Chin Music, knocking Y2J out cold. Then, on SmackDown, The Animal slammed the Backlash guest referee to the canvas with a vicious Batista Bomb.

Later in the night, The Animal was looking to carry his fury forward in a match against World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker. Seated at ringside keeping close watch on the battle were Edge and his Rated-R Entourage. As the war moved outside the ring, both The Phenom and Batista were counted out, but this action didn’t stop their evening. All hell then broke loose, including Undertaker ripping Edge out of the front row and tossing him into the ring. Next, Chavo and Bam Neely came running into the ring, but their fate wasn’t a good one. In the end, The Animal and The Phenom were the only ones standing, while Edge slithered away. A furious SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero then ordered a title rematch next week on SmackDown, with the winner facing Edge at Backlash.

NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAY’S “iMPACT!” BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV – NEW X CHAMPION CROWNED
    By Bill Banks

There are several major news items to report from Thursday’s “iMPACT!” broadcast on SpikeTV, including the crowning of a new TNA X Division Champion!

    - The broadcast kicked off with new TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe speaking out on his win and the new era in TNA. However, Joe was interrupted by “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner, who announced he was cashing in on his “Fight For The Right” title shot at May’s Sacrifice against the World Champion! After that, Kurt Angle came out to announce that he was using his rematch clause immediately and wanted the title match next Thursday on “iMPACT!”.

    - Also on the broadcast, “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal successfully defended the X Division Championship against Johnny Devine. However, after the match “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams cashed in on his Fight For The Right X Title shot, beating Lethal after the Canadian Destroyer (and a shot from his steel case) to become the new TNA X Division Champion!

    - “iMPACT!” was also filled with controversy, as AJ Styles and Tomko lost the TNA World Tag Team Championship to Kaz and Super Eric in a three-way bout (also featuring The Latin American Xchange). However, the title was held up by TNA Management Director Jim Cornette when Super Eric refused to unmask, as it was Eric Young who was actually in the bout. Cornette – obviously frustrated with the situation – told the world he would make an official decision on next week’s broadcast!

    - In the main event of the broadcast, it was Sting, Booker T and BG James defeating Robert Roode, “Cowboy” James Storm and Kip James in six-man action. Booker T beat Storm with the axe kick, but only after Matt Morgan interfered to give their team the advantage. After the bout, Booker T took exception to Morgan’s interference and had words with Morgan and Sting over the situation! In fact, Booker challenged Sting to fight him next week before leaving the arena!

    - “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage and “The War Machine” Rhino defeated Team 3D in tag team action after some miscommunication between Brother Ray and Brother Devon. After the bout, TNA security had to step in between Team 3D, who nearly came to blows!

    - TNA Knockout Women’s Champion Awesome Kong successful defended her title against Roxxi Laveaux, who won the “Queen Of The Cage” match at Lockdown.

Kevin Nash vergelijkt TNA met WWE

Kevin Nash compares WWE and TNA
Posted by Bobby Spade on 04/17/2008 at 10:07 AM

Kevin Nash was interviewed in the Daytona Beach News-Journal today. In comparing TNA to WWE, Nash commented, "Dixie Carter and the people that run the company have a different philosophy [than WWE]. It's also just the working environment -- there's a lot less pressure. Our boss cares about the guys. She wants us to be healthy. And she feels if it evens the playing field, than nobody has an advantage and guys will live longer."

Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Jimmy Wang Yang, & Shannon Moore def. Deuce, Domino, Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke
Kelly Kelly wins Diva Dance Off
    Mike Knox def. Colin Delaney
ECW Champion Kane & World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker def. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz (non-title)

LONDON – Brotherhood was the theme in the Land of the Extreme on Tuesday night in the United Kingdom, as Superstars relied on teamwork to lead their way to success.

With Joey Styles set to take on a new role with WWE.com, the longtime ECW commentator handed the reigns to his successor, Mike Adamle. Shortly after, Adamle called his first contest: An Eight-Man Tag Team Match.

In that eight-man battle, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore took on Deuce, Domino, Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke. Yang & Moore were anxious to redeem their second straight loss to WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz on SmackDown. On the other side, Deuce & Domino looked to recover from their losses in solo action against the Jamaican Superstar. After a high-flying contest, Kingston racked up his second pinfall on Deuce, giving the rest of his team a victory against their cocky opponents.

Plenty of heated rivalries boiled over during the Eight-Man Tag Team Match, but the hottest part of the night was undoubtedly the Diva Dance Off. Kelly Kelly, Eve, Layla, Maryse and Lena Yada each had 30 seconds to show off their best moves for our fans. After their performances, Tazz measured the response of the London audience, which clearly chose Kelly Kelly as their favorite Diva for the night.

Tommy Dreamer entered the squared circle after the Diva contest, set to battle Mike Knox - but he didn’t stay for very long. ECW General Manager Armando Estrada announced that our fans don’t want to see the ECW Original in action; they want to see Colin Delaney. Dreamer left the job to the hopeful Superstar, who quickly fell victim to the much larger Knox.

Tuesday night rounded out with a Match of Champions as ECW Champion Kane & World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker clashed with the WWE Tag Team Champions. The battle was hard fought, but the Brothers of Destruction proved to be too much. (WATCH) More on this story …

Update on the poor RAW rating this week
Posted by Bobby Spade on 04/16/2008 at 12:13 PM

To follow up on this week's RAW rating, the 3.2 we originally reported was actually rounded up from a 3.18. The show did hourly ratings of 3.11 and 3.25. The quarter hour numbers have been released and they paint an even gloomier picture for WWE. The show opened with a 2.99 quarter hour rating. The show bounced back to the 3.2 range for most of the show and peaked at a 3.6 for the overrun.

    Update on Samoa Joe's contract

Samoa Joe's TNA contract status has been the subject of discussion for several months. Last week, Joe took part in a media conference call and said that his TNA contract was expiring soon. We can confirm that Joe's comments were intended to play into the TNA storyline that Joe was unhappy with his TNA deal. In reality, Joe is signed to a longterm deal and will be with TNA for at least the next year.

However, PWInsider.com reports that an issue did arise recently surrounding the ownership and usage rights of the Samoa Joe name and character. Joe owns the name and character, however TNA wanted to have exclusive rights to license the name in the future. This would prevent Joe from going to another company in the future as "Samoa Joe". This issue has come up with the company before - with Low Ki (changed to "Senshi" in TNA) and Amazing Kong (now "Awesome Kong" in TNA).

The dispute went on for several weeks but has now been resolved - with Joe retaining the licensing rights to his name and character.

LONDON – As Raw’s European tour made its final stop in London, the Superstars learned that next Monday will mark the return of the King of the Ring Tournament.

Mickie James’ quest to regain the Women’s Championship has been a long road back to the top, but James proved all the doubters wrong when she did the unthinkable, dethroning Beth Phoenix on Raw.

While Phoenix showed the strength and power that has made her an unbeatable force since winning the Women’s Championship, kicking out of the challenger’s high-flying arsenal of offense, the resilient Mickie proved why she was once before – and is now again – the champion.(WATCH)

As Phoenix had James hoisted far above her head, Mickie reversed the hold and rolled-up The Glamazon to capture the gold. After the victory, the new champion made her way up the ramp with tears of joy in her eyes, emotional over the unlikely win. The celebration continued when fellow Divas Maria & Ashley joined the new Women’s Champion on the ramp, and Todd Grisham was given a victory kiss by the exuberant Mickie.

    Intercontinental interjections
Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho’s night began when he interrupted Shawn Michaels at the opening of Raw, as HBK spoke about his Backlash opponent, Batista. Y2J berated Michaels, going so far as to call him a “phony,” but Jericho paid for his words when he accused Michaels of setting up WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s retirement clause long ago. HBK heard enough, and delivered Sweet Chin Music to Jericho, silencing his critic.(WATCH)

Not to be outdone by HBK’s physical payback, Jericho asked General Manager William Regal to let him participate in the Batista/Michaels confrontation at Backlash, and Regal obliged, naming Y2J the guest referee for the showdown.

But Y2J’s night wasn’t over, as he defended his gold moments later against the ever-dangerous Umaga. Despite the Samoan Bulldozer’s best efforts, Jericho took advantage when the heavyweight hit his head on the steel post, rolling up Umaga and using the ropes for leverage to secure the win and retain his title.

    International team to the top?
The tag team of Santino Marella & Carlito became the No. 1 contenders to the World Tag Team Championship when they defeated the red-hot tandem of Paul London & Brian Kendrick on Raw.(WATCH)

After securing their opportunity to reach the top of the tag team division, Santino & Carlito delivered bilingual warnings to the champions, Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes. “You need three things to be World Tag Team Champions,” explained Santino, “strength, agility and international flavor – something you do not have.”

True “weeners” – as Santino explained to our fans in London – the duo now have their chance to shine when they go for gold. Whether or not “Cantino” can prove that to be true remains to be seen, but the new No. 1 contenders hope to prove that they are more than just the flavor of the month in their hunt for tag gold.

    Murdoch’s misfortune
Moments before taking on JTG one-on-one, Trevor Murdoch’s tag team partner Lance Cade tried to give a pep talk, encouraging Murdoch by telling him he would go out to the ring and win after a few weeks of bad luck. Murdoch and Cade have had a mounting frustration after weeks of difficult losses, including a tag team loss to Cryme Tyme last Monday. Despite Murdoch’s best efforts, however, JTG reversed a flying body press to earn the victory.

A shocked Murdoch stood in the center of the ring after the loss, and an extremely disappointed Lance Cade approached his partner and gave him a look of disapproval before patting him on the back and exiting the arena.(WATCH)

    Burchill comes home
Superstar Paul Burchill returned to his home country of England on Raw when he faced off with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Unlike William Regal, however, the Englishman Burchill did not have his fellow countrymen’s support, yet still found a way to win. Burchill defeated Duggan with a devastating maneuver that saw him slam the WWE legend face-first into the mat.

With the announcement that King of the Ring will take place next week on a special three-hour edition of Raw, could a young up-and-comer like Burchill, find himself part of the tournament to crown WWE royalty?

    A Regal homecoming gets RKO’d
Contrary to Paul Burchill’s reaction, General Manager William Regal’s homecoming looked optimistic when the GM was set to take on WWE Champion Randy Orton one-on-one. Regal nearly defeated Orton in the non-title contest when he delivered a devastating suplex to the champion, but Orton recovered and defeated Regal with an RKO.

In the main event inked by Regal prior to his collision with the “Age of Orton,” JBL and Triple H both hoped to make moves to gain momentum before the Fatal Four Way at Backlash, and the former champion JBL fired a loud and clear message when he decimated Randy Orton and Triple H with Clotheslines from Hell

What You Didn't See On Raw Last Night
Posted by Xing Hu on 04/15/2008 at 09:13 AM

Reader Lewis sent the following off-air report from last night's Raw in London, England:

I attended last night's Raw in London and I had a fantastic time! I was in the 2nd row at ringside.

The arena was pretty much completely full and the atmosphere was amazing. The set looked absolutely fantastic and everything was very well organized.

To start things off they showed a WrestleMania XXIV video package - and then Lilian Garcia made her entrance.

The first match was a dark match between Hardcore Holly and a Jobber. Holly got the win after the Alabama Slam.

It was then time for the Heat tapings...

    * Melina & Jillian def. Maria & Ashley - after Melina hit her leg split finisher on Maria
    * DH Smith def. Super Crazy
    * Cody Rhodes def. Charlie Haas; and
    * Snitsky def. Val Venis - after the Pump Handle Slam

JR & King then made their entrance and Raw got underway!!!!

The crowd was pretty much into every match and was really pleased they got to see a title change. Some kids were disappointed that Cena was not in attendance, but I think the night was enjoyed by everyone overall.

After Raw went off the air, Triple H posed and greeted fans for at least 10 minutes.

The biggest cheers of the night went to...
    1. Triple H
    2. William Regal
    3. Shawn Michaels; and
    4. Mickie James

While the biggest heat of the night went to...
    1. JBL
    2. Randy Orton
    3. Chris Jericho; and
    4. Santino Marella

    Mike Knox's status
Posted by Bobby Spade on 04/14/2008 at 02:54 PM

Mike Knox doesn't appear to be in any trouble with the company at the moment. The company believes that that the steroids left in the house were by one of the other wrestlers no longer affiliated with the company. Two of the three wrestlers identified as living in the house at one time, Ryan O'Reilly and Derrick Neikirk, were both suspended by WWE for drug test failures during their respective tenures in the company.

Up next is the Queen Of The Cage match, with Christy Hemme vs. Salinas vs. Jacqueline vs. Angelina Love vs. Roxxi Laveaux vs. Velvet Sky vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Traci Brooks! All of the Knockouts start the match on the outside trying to battle their way in. The winner earns a shot at the TNA Knockouts Championship. Angelina Love was the first to make it inside the cage by climbing over the top, followed by Roxxi Laveaux - leading to a singles match between the two. After high-impact moves between the Knockouts, Roxxi got the win with her Barbie Crusher finisher!

In the back, new TNA interviewer Lauren interviewed Samoa Joe about tonight's match!

The legendary tag team turned bitter enemies started off the bout with Kip getting the best of BG and wearing him down on the mat. BG tried to battle back, but Kip continued to lay on the punishment. Kip then hit his jumping legdrop finisher, but BG kicked out! Kip went for the move again off the turnbuckle, but BG moved and hit him with a low blow. BG hit punches on Kip and rammed his face into the steel cage. Later, Kip went to splash BG in the corner, but BG reversed it into a roll-up for the pin and the win! After the bout, BG helped Kip to his feet, but Kip blindsided BG with a clothesline! A beaten Kip James left the ring with his former partner out cold in the center.

Backstage, JB interviewed World Champion Kurt Angle about the big main event tonight.

Up next is the Cuffed In The Cage match with The Latin American Xchange vs. The Motor City Machineguns vs. Black Reign & Rellik vs. Scott Steiner and Petey Williams vs. The Rock N Rave Infection vs. Kaz and Eric Young! Prior to the match, Reign and Rellik attacked Young in the back until Kaz made the save. However, Kaz was forced to start without Eric as a result. Scott Steiner was a one-man wrecking crew to start it until he was overcome by the numbers. Rellik, Reign and the Rock N Rave infection eventually handcuffed Steiner to the cage. Eric Young finally came out, but he couldn't climb in as Rellik and Reign kept him out - leading to Eric giving up and leaving! Shelley and Sabin were then handcuffed to the cage, followed by Petey Williams. Hernandez was then cuffed to the cage. Kaz hit a top rope Flux Capacitor on Jimmy Rave! However, Reign and Rellike eventually cuffed Kaz to the cage - leading to the arrival of Super Eric! Super Eric climbed to the top of the cage and hit a flying bodypress on The Rock N Rave Infection and Rellik and Reign! Eric was able to fight off the remaining teams by himself to get the win and the victory!

In the back, Lauren interviewed Samoa Joe's family about his attempt to win the World Championship!

Up next, it's ODB and Gail Kim vs. TNA Knockout Champion Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed. Kong and ODB started the bout matching power, with Kong winning the battle. ODB tagged in Gail Kim while Kong brought in Raisha. Saeed worked over Gail's arm and got several near-falls on the former Women's Champion. Gail battled back, but Kong interfered to stop her cold. Raisha continued to pour on the punishment, eventually tagging Kong back in. Later, Gail was able to come back, hitting a top rope hurricanrana on Saeed! Gail finally tagged in ODB, leading to a four-way brawl between the Knockouts. ODB then hit a splash from the outside on Saeed to get the win!

In the back, JB interviewed Karen Angle, who was on hand to watch the World Title match between Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe!

Up next is Booker T and Sharmell vs. Robert Roode and Payton Banks. Roode and Booker started the bout, with Roode using underhanded tactics to get the upper hand on his nemesis. Roode continued to pour on the beating, wearing Booker down with a headlock. Booker battled back and hit a leaping kick, but Roode hit a spinebuster for a near-fall. Later, Booker gained the upper-hand with a spinebuster of his own and did the spinarooni, but missed the axe kick when Roode moved. Sharmell and Payton Banks got into the bout. As Payton was screaming at Booker in the corner, Sharmell rolled her up for the win! After the bout, Payton tried to apologize to Roode, but he screamed at her for costing them the match. Roode left Payton alone in the ring and exited on his own.

Backstage, Lauren interviewed UFC star Marcus Davis on his take regarding the upcoming World Title match.

Up next is the Lethal Lockdown with Team Cage vs. Team Tomko! Starting the Lethal Lockdown match were the two captains, as it was Christian Cage against his former friend Tomko - or so it seemed! As Tomko was about to enter the ring, AJ Styles surprised Cage by climbing into the ring from behind and attacked Cage. Styles started it off by wearing down Cage, with new team members entering every two minutes. Out next was Brother Ray of Team 3D, sporting a Yankee jersey. As Ray was about to enter the ring, he had AJ slam Cage's head into the door. Ray and AJ continued to pound Cage until Rhino was next out to help The Instant Classic. Out next was "Cowboy" James Storm to make the advantage 3-on-2 for Team Tomko. Cage and AJ battled on the top of the cage while Kevin Nash made his entrance. AJ tried to leap on Nash from the top rope, but Nash caught him in mid air and slammed him down. Cage then hit a huge bodypress off the top of the steel structure on Storm and Brother Ray! Out next was Brother Devon. Team 3D combined forces to brutalize every member of Team Cage. Out next was Matt Morgan, who took down every member of Team Tomko with power moves. Tomko was out next and he immediately went after Kevin Nash, then focused his hatred on Christian Cage. The final participant was the icon Sting as the Lethal Lockdown officially began with the lowering of the steel ceiling - weapons then came into play! It was an all-out war with every weapon being used. Cage and Storm fought on top of the roof, with Cage trying to smash Storm's skull in with a garbage can lid. On top of the roof, AJ and Cage battled on top of a ladder - but they went crashing down on top of a table! Back in the cage, Rhino hit the GORE on Storm to get the win for Team Cage!

Up next...it's the main event for the World Championship with Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe! In the epic main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, it was Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle defending against Samoa Joe. Joe was brought out by the firedancers. Karen Angle attempted to sit ringside to watch, but Kurt had her thrown out of the building! The bout certainly lived up to the build up, as Kurt and Joe went at it like two warriors in the ground-and-pound title bout. In the end, it was Samoa Joe hitting the Muscle Buster on Angle to become the NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion as the crowd went absolutely insane! The Pay-Per-View ended with Samoa Joe celebrating his win and being presented the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! Tune into Thursday's "iMPACT!" to see exclusive footage from the Lockdown event.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison def. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore (non-title)
    Finlay def. Matt Striker
    Victoria def. Michelle McCool
    Vladimir Kozlov def. Matt Logan
    Matt Hardy def. Chuck Palumbo
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker def. Festus (non-title)

BOSTON – “Come Backlash, I’m gonna knock your teeth down your throat.” Those were Shawn Michaels’ ominous words to pay-per-view opponent, Batista, on Friday Night SmackDown.

Ever since he ended Ric Flair’s career at WrestleMania XXIV, HBK hasn’t heard the end of it from Batista. First, The Animal confronted the Showstopper last Friday on SmackDown, calling his actions selfish and wrong. (WATCH) Things escalated even further between the two on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel on Monday Night Raw. (WATCH)

On SmackDown, the two Backlash opponents exchanged more hostile words in a Face-to-Face confrontation in the ring. Things almost became physical when HBK went in for Sweet Chin Music, but Batista backed away before HBK could connect. The Animal then went for a Batista Bomb, but HBK was able to avoid his grasp. (WATCH)

Regarding their encounter at Backlash, WWE commentator Michael Cole predicted: “I believe we’re going to witness one of the most emotional and personal matches ever.”

    Punjabi Peace Offering
If you tuned into SmackDown a little late, you might have wondered what a container of Ganges River water, a bottle of Indian Scotch, a live chicken and a goat were doing in the ring. They were all part of a Punjabi Peace Offering from The Great Khali to Big Show meant to quell the brewing tensions between the two 7-footers. “I can’t describe how I feel, but I can show you,” Big Show said about the offering – as he proceeded to knock out the The Punjab Giant with one punch. (WATCH)

    Distracting Diva
The SmackDown Divas have a newcomer in their ranks – Natalya Neidhart, daughter of legendary WWE Superstar Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. Last week on SmackDown, she viciously attacked Michelle McCool after a brawl between Victoria and McCool. (WATCH) Tonight, she issued a bold warning to her fellow Divas: “When you mess with the best, you go down with the rest!” Later, Natalya targeted the All American Diva again to help Victoria pick up a win. (WATCH)

    Here to slay
Last Friday on SmackDown, powerful Russian Superstar Vladimir Kozlov burst onto the scene with a commanding victory over Matt Bentley. Tonight, Kozlov repeated his raw display of power, adding Matt Logan to his list of victims. (WATCH)

    On a roll
Since Matt Hardy played spoiler in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXIV, United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter has been firmly in his sights. Last week on SmackDown, the two clashed in a vicious battle, with Hardy earning a victory in their non-title bout. This week, Hardy faced SmackDown big man Chuck Palumbo. With MVP looking on as a guest commentator, Hardy used his signature Twist of Fate to finish Palumbo. While on commentary, the cocky MVP challenged Hardy to a rematch next week in London. When will these two clash again?

    Shillelagh Shenanigans
The Irish duo of Finlay and the returning Hornswoggle were up to their old tricks on SmackDown. First, Hornswoggle fooled his father’s opponent, Matt Striker, by tossing a bucket of “fake” confetti water toward him. With Striker’s guard down, Finlay was able to douse him with a real bucket of water. Later, Hornswoggle whacked Striker in the back with an inflatable Shillelagh. With Striker distracted by the pint-size prankster once again, Finlay seized the opportunity to knock the intellectual Superstar out cold with a real Shillelagh. After the academic pinfall, Hornswoggle celebrated his dad’s win by delivering a Tadpole Splash from the top rope onto Striker.

    Rejected
WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison continued their winning ways by defeating Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore. A swinging neck breaker from The Miz allowed him to pin Yang, giving the champs their second straight win over the two men they have lampooned on their WWE.com Dirt Sheet in recent weeks. (WATCH The Dirt Sheet)

Biscuits 'n' gravy resting in peace
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker has taken on some of WWE’s biggest, baddest and most bizarre Superstars over the years. But even The Deadman was unsure of what he would encounter when he went up against the corn-fed colossus, Festus, who has never been pinned on SmackDown. Festus proved to be no country bumpkin, giving Undertaker a run for his money. But with referee Charles Robinson knocked out from a collision with Festus, the colossus fell victim to Undertaker’s deadly, breath-robbing submission hold. With Festus nearly unconscious, referee Jimmy Korderas ran into the ring to call the bout, giving Undertaker the win. (WATCH)

After signing the contract to make it official, Joe promised Kurt Angle he would leave as champion this Sunday – then shook hands with the World Champion in a sign of respect between the two stars before their war at Lockdown!

    - In the main event, Sting and Kevin Nash defeated Team 3D by disqualification after AJ Styles and Tomko interfered. All the members of both Lethal Lockdown teams came out to end the broadcast with a huge brawl!

    - Consequences Creed made his successful TNA return, beating Jimmy Rave of The Rock N’ Rave Infection to qualify for Sunday’s Xscape Match for the X Division Championship.

    - TNA Management Director Jim Cornette officially relieved Matt Morgan from his official duties, allowing Morgan to be his own man in TNA Wrestling. - In tag team action, Scott Steiner and Petey Williams defeated The Motor City Machineguns after Williams got the win with the Canadian Destroyer. After the bout, Steiner and Rhaka Khan cut Petey’s hair and placed chain mail on his head and announced to the “iMPACT!” Zone that Williams will now be known as “Little Petey Pump”.

    - A new bout has been added to Sunday’s Lockdown, called “Cuffed In The Cage” and featuring several TNA tag teams chained together in the steel structure. The participants in the bout are as follows:

    - X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal (along with SoCal Val) was interviewed on the broadcast about Sunday’s Xscape Match. During the interview, “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt appeared and asked Val if she wanted to go shopping with him! Val agreed and left the interview – and Lethal – to shop with Dutt!

WWE DIVA MOET STOPPEN VAN DOKTERS

WWE diva told to never wrestle again

Back surgeons of SmackDown Diva Torrie Wilson are telling her to never set foot in a wrestling ring again unless she wants to be healthy in later years. She wrote on her MySpace page in a blog posted earlier today: "I have been told by 2 back surgeons that I should never set foot in a wrestling ring again if I want to be moving around in a few years on my own. Pretty depressing if you ask me." She also added, "My health is doing ok as far as back problems. I must say there are days that I wake up and ask myself why the heck I put my body through what I did the last few years but it's all worth it. I can never trade all of the awesome experiences that I have had in the WWE and of course all of the great life long friends that I have made along the way." Torrie also talks about WrestleMania weekend, heading over to Japan to do promotional work for WWE, staying home after being on the road practically every week for the past seven years, and more.

There is talk that TNA is trying to bring in Chris Leathers to help direct Impact and PPVs. Leathers directed WCW Nitro during the Monday night wars, and was the one who actually came up with the name New World Order and designed the NWO logo.
