Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 01/31/2011 at 12:43 AM

The following comments were posted on Twitter...

Christopher Daniels: "Just got done watching the Rumble with friends. Congrats to @WWEDanielBryan and @CMPunk for their great showings... ...to @TheRealMorrison for the spot of the night,... & to the WWE, I ask, if no one saw the Miz throw Cena over the top rope, how do they know Cena went over the top at all? #IWantWresting"

Val Venis: "I am very happy for Del Rio. He is truly a great performer. Vince is hearing Cha Ching with Del Rio. Or at least he should be hearing that."

Carlito: "I guess I dont have special powers! Congrats to del rio and the wwe for changing things up!"

Shane Helms: "Del Rio is 1/3 JBL, 1/3 Ricky Ricardo, and 1/3 Ric Flair. Hope to see him go far."

Jim Ross: "Thought Booker & Nash both physically looked super 2nite. I hope they stick around WWE. TBD, I suppose."

Madison Rayne on her Success and TNA Atmosphere

Madison Rayne on her Success and TNA Atmosphere
Posted by Amish Patel on 01/31/2011 at 12:37 PM

    - TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne recently spoke to The Sun while in the UK. Here are some highlights:

    Finding success in TNA:
"I took a bit of time to find my place here and perhaps through luck I wound up as one of The Beautiful People. They are a great team and they helped me out greatly. It was just one of those unplanned things when Angelina Love had to leave for a short while, but that moved me up the ranks of the team and I really began to get where I wanted."

    TNA having a family atmosphere:
"It's true what they say about TNA being like a family. You can credit Dixie Carter for creating that sort of atmosphere, she is a very family orientated person and that rubs off on us too. We all know we can go to her, no matter what, boyfriend or girlfriend problems, family issues or anything else. We can go to her for advice, let off some steam or whatever we need.

She can give us tough love, but she knows we need it if she does. We all work better from having that sort of person to go to. We probably work so much better for being able to do that, frustration and anger never makes it into the ring. This is a business and Dixie is serious about that too, but we are indeed the TNA family."

    UPDATE BOOKER T

As reported earlier, Booker T has arrived to Boston, Massachusetts for tonight's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He is expected to participate in the 40-Man Royal Rumble Match. His return to WWE after three years will not be a one night affair.

According to some wrestlers, Booker T is permanently returning to WWE to both wrestle and announce. Additional details, however, have not been disclosed.

The six-time world champion has had his sights set on a commentating position for a number of years. He indicated in an interview last year during Royal Rumble season that if he were to return to WWE, it would likely be as an announcer.

He said, "Going back to the WWE, I know I would have to work a full schedule pretty much 180 days a year. I don't think that's something I want to do at this point. A lot of people speculate, but if I was to go back to the WWE, it would probably be from a wrestling announcer standpoint, that's something I always wanted to do. So I look forward if I ever go back to WWE, it would probably be from a wrestling announcer standpoint. TNA is better for me as far as scheduling goes, but I don't think I'll working that hectic schedule anymore."

    UITSLAGEN ROYAL RUMBLE

    Event: WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View
    Airdate: Monday, January 30th, 2011 (Pay-Per-View)
Location: The TD Garden Arena in Boston, MA
    Results by ProWrestlingSCOOPS.com

“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

    WWE Royal Rumble Opener:

We get a video package highlighting, what else but the Rumble match itself, to open the show.

The pyro hits and Michael Cole welcomes us to the PPV, and the bell rings. Looks like we'll be kicking things off tonight with the World Heavyweight Championship match, as Edge makes his way to the ring.

    World Heavyweight Championship
    Edge (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

We get a recap of the events of this past Friday's Smackdown, and a reminder that the spear will be banned tonight, and if Edge hits it tonight, he will be DQ'ed and lose the belt to Ziggler. Vickie Guerrero interrupts Edge's music with a nice, loud, Excuse Me! Vickie says she's here to remind the crowd, and especially Edge that the spear is illegal and dangerous, and officially banned. Vickie asks Edge to use the spear one time tonight, and to get Edge in the mood, she attempts to get a spear chant going, before just laughing it off. Vickie then announces Ziggler, and the challenger makes his way out to the ring to less than half the heat of his 'girlfriend'.

We get formal ring introductions from Tony Chimel, and it looks like we're ready to finally kick things off.

The bell rings, and Ziggler and Edge circle each other before locking up. Edge knees Dolph in the gut before laying into him with a quick forearm, then smashing his head into the corner turnbuckle. Dolph comes back with a kick to the stomach and he's able to score a couple of quick right hands on Edge in the corner before the referee pulls him away. When Ziggler goes back to Edge he's greeted with a boot to the stomach and a hard whip across the ring, before a series of quick knee drops and a near fall. Edge picks Dolph up and hits a gutbuster type drop on Ziggler which is good for another near fall. Edge catches Ziggler with a knee to the midsection, flipping Ziggler over his knee, and it's good for yet another near fall for Edge.

Ziggler rolls to the outside and Edge follows, slamming him into the ringside barricade hard. Edge picks Ziggler back up and body slams him chest first down onto the barricade before rolling back into the ring and breaking the count. Edge rolls Ziggler back into the ring, but when he goes to follow he's caught with a boot and a rope assisted neckbreaker that's good for a near fall for Ziggler. Ziggler stomps away on Edge repeatedly until the ref pulls him away again. Edge rolls toward the ring apron and Ziggler exits the ring, bringing his elbow down across Edge's throat, and the back of his head.

Ziggler catches Edge with a couple of kicks to the side of the head before choking Edge against the middle rope. Ziggler is able to lock in a rear chin lock, softening Edge up. Edge is able to get to his feet and fight out of the hold before he whips Ziggler into the corner. Edge charges Ziggler but he gets caught with a boot to the chest. Ziggler tries for a sunset flip, but Edge rolls through and catapaults Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler is quick to respond with a neckbreaker that's good for a near fall. Ziggler stalks Edge before hitting a running, flipping neckbreaker to a seated Edge that's good for another near fall. Ziggler locks in another rear chin lock, continuing to wear down the champ.

Ziggler breaks the hold and drops a big elbow for another two count. Edge rolls to the ring apron and stands up, but Ziggler charges and launches him directly into the barricade at ringside. Ziggler follows to the outside only to bring Edge back in for a cover, but he's still only able to get a two count. Ziggler lays into Edge with a couple of elbows before locking in yet another rear chin lock.

Edge is able to fight up to his feet and he fights off Dolph, sending him into the ropes. Both men go for cross body blocks, and both men connects and end up down on the mat gasping for air. Both men make it back to their feet at a six count, and Edge is able to avoid a diving Ziggler in the corner, causing Ziggler to crash and burn in the corner. Both men are back up and Ziggler charges again, only to be picked up and flopped right back down on his stomach by Edge. Both men are slow to get up again and Edge ducks a clothesline before hitting a couple of running forearms and a facebuster on Ziggler that's good for a near fall.

Edge goes for Ziggler, but he ends up eating a jawbreaker type maneuver that looks great. Ziggler goes for the rocker dropper, but Edge is able to counter it into an awesome sit-out powerbomb which he holds on to for a pin, and a two count. Edge goes to the apron and begins to climb to the top rope. Ziggler is able to stop Edge and he lays into him with a couple of head butts, but when Ziggler tries for a superplex, Edge is able to fight him off, and he scores a head butt of his own. Edge dives off the top rope with a cross body, but Ziggler rolls through and he's able to pin Edge for a super close near fall, almost shocking the champ.

Both men are up and Ziggler hits a beautiful kick to the face, but it's still not enough to keep Edge down. Ziggler goes for the Zig Zag, but Edge is able to hold on to the ropes and avoid the move. Edge locks in a submission, that almost looks like an inverted sharpshooter, but Ziggler is able to fight his way to the ropes to force Edge to break the hold. Edge props Ziggler up on the middle rope and wails on his back, but when Edge tries for a cross body, Ziggler moves and he's hung up in the ropes. Ziggler comes up with a rocker dropper and he tries for the pin but Edge kicks out at two.

Ziggler looks distraught and Vickie looks angry. Both men get up to their feet, and Edge is able to score a big boot, kicking Ziggler in the face. Edge sets himself up in the corner, and looks to be going for the spear, but he stops himself. Edge walks toward Ziggler, and Ziggler almost locks in the sleeper, but Edge is able to counter into his impaler DDT. Edge goes for the pin, but Vickie pulls the ref out. Vickie argues with the ref, and slaps Edge, but Edge is able to avoid Ziggler and score a quick roll up for two. Edge argues with Vickie more until Kelly Kelly runs down and pulls Vickie off of the apron and beats her down. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag while Edge is distracted, but when he goes for the pin, Edge kicks out at two!

Both men are slow to get to their feet. Ziggler gets up first and he tries to lock in the sleeper, being much more successful this time. Edge fades and falls to one knee. Edge shows a flash of life, and he goes up to his feet with Ziggler on his back, but they knock the referee down in the confusion. Edge is able to hit a backpack stunner, and he notices that both Vickie Guerrero and the ref are down. Edge positions himself in the corner and hits a giant spear, before laying down on his back and acting hurt. The ref gets back up to his knees and Edge gets back up as well. Edge waits for Ziggler to get up, then hits the unprettier, putting Ziggler down for the three count.

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Edge

Vickie Guerrero is furious as Edge just shrugs it off and shakes his head at the referee before celebrating with his title.

    - We get a video package highlighting the history between Orton and The Miz.

    Backstage:

The Miz is backstage with Alex Riley and Josh Matthews. Miz says there is a reason why he's a champion, and people like Jerry Lawler and Tom Brady aren't. Riley says Miz will outclass and outwrestle Orton tonight, and go to WrestleMania as Champion. Miz repeats his catchphrase, letting us all know who he is, and what he thinks of himself.

    WWE Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Randy Orton

The bell rings, and Orton and the Miz begin circling before the Miz tries for a quick punch. Orton avoids it and comes up with a right hand, European uppercut, and a series of right hands in the corner before simply tossing the Miz to the outside. Orton follows and he slams Miz from one barricade into another before rolling him back into the ring for a two count. Orton stomps Miz's forehead before picking him up by the arm and laying in with a couple of nasty kicks. Orton continues to stomp at Miz's chest before picking him up by the legs and slingshotting him into the bottom rope, throat first. Orton goes for another pin but he only gets two. Orton catches Miz with a nasty uppercut in the corner, but when he charges Miz he eats an elbow, only to come back with another series of big right hands before being pulled off by the referee. Orton chokes Miz on the middle rope before continuing the beating.

Riley is able to catch Orton by surprise, bringing him down throat first across the top rope while the ref is distracted, and this allows Miz to sneak in a bit of offense. Miz goes to slam Orton's head into the turnbuckle only to have it turned around on him. Orton his a big clothesline, but when he charges Miz in the corner Miz is able to make his way out, and Orton crashes into the corner. Miz is able to hit his corner clothesline and it's good for a two count. Miz chokes Orton on the second rope, and Riley uses another distraction to sneak in a right hand. Miz goes for a pin but he's only able to get a two count. Miz is able to lock in a rear chin lock, but Orton quickly fights up to his feet and out of the hold. Orton scores a good head butt, but Miz catches Orton with a knee to the gut.

Miz catches Orton with a big right hand and a boot to the gut, but Orton gets back to his feet and comes up with a couple of rights of his own, only to fall victim to a high elbow for a one count. Miz distracts the ref again, but the ref catches Riley before he's able to do anything. Miz goes to the outside and beats on Orton for a little bit before kicking up into Orton's face, square in the nose. Back in the ring Miz locks in another rear chin lock, and even though Orton fights up to his feet he quickly falls back down. Orton fights up again and he lays a couple of elbows into Miz's gut before turnings things around with a sleeper. Miz fights out of it, but Orton blocks a suplex and takes Miz down. Both men are slow to get up, and when they do Miz hits a big boot to Orton's face that's good for another near fall. Miz goes to the apron and climbs the ropes but Orton catches, and stops him. Orton hits Miz with a big right hand before climbing up and hitting a big superplex.

Orton goes for the pin, but the Miz is able to kick out. Both men get back up to their feet and trade blows in the ring, neither giving ground until Orton kicks Miz square in the chest, hits a couple of clotheslines, and his signature backbreaker. Orton goes for the rope assisted DDT, but Miz is able to suplex Orton over the ropes to the outside instead. Miz distracts the ref while Riley attacks Orton. Miz goes to the outside where he rams Orton back first into the barricade, then the ring apron, before rolling Orton back into the ring and going for the cover, only to get a two count. Miz goes back up to the top rope, and leaps off with a double axe handle smash that's good for another near fall on Orton. Miz goes for another pin, and gets another two count, before mounting Orton, kicking him a couple of times, and going for another pin, getting another two count. Miz locks in a mounted reverse chin lock, but Orton refuses to quit.

Orton fights up to his feet, but Miz quickly tosses him to the outside. Orton tries to go for something, but Miz catches him by the feet, and slingshots him head first into the ring post. Miz rolls back into the ring and the referee begins the count. Orton makes it back into the ring at 8, and he launches himself into the Miz with a Thesz press, a series of punches, and another series of punches when both men get to their feet. Miz is able to score a couple of punches of his own, but he walks into a couple of big clotheslines, and the snap powerslam. Orton stomps on Miz's joints, wearing him down further with a big knee drop to the forehead that's good for a two count.

Orton goes for a powerbomb, it looks like, but Riley is up on the apron to distract him. This allows Miz to hit the backbreaker/neckbreaker combo, but Orton kicks out of a pin attempt. Orton goes for the RKO, but Miz fights it off and tries for the SCF, Orton fights that off and hits what looks to be an Olympic slam for another two count. Miz goes to the outside and grabs the title, attempting to leave, but he's stopped cold by an Orton clothesline. Orton sends Miz back into the ring, but when he follows, he's met with a low angle DDT that sets up another near fall.

Miz goes for a kick, but Orton is able to avoid it and roll him up for a quick two count. Miz goes to the apron and Orton scores with his rope assisted DDT. Orton begins stalking Miz, setting up for the RKO, but the New Nexus make their way out to the ring. The ref attempts to stop them, and this allows Riley to sneak in. Orton kicks Riley in the gut, and launches him out of the ring, over the ref, and into Nexus. Orton hits the RKO on Miz, but Punk is in the ring and he hits a GTS on Orton, before dragging Miz over top of Orton. The ref recovers and counts the three.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: The Miz

Michael Cole is beside himself, jumping up and down and clapping and shouting for the Miz.

Punk and the New Nexus make their way to the back as Miz looks completely confused as to what happened. When the belt is handed to him, that's enough to elicit a smile from Miz though.

    Backstage:

Todd Grisham is backstage reading a prepared statement from Cody Rhodes. Rhodes says that tonight should have been tonight, but he won't be appearing because he has a shattered face. He says he's offended that Mysterio has not reached out to him, and he asks everyone to respect his wishes of privacy.

    WWE Divas Championship
    Natalya (c) vs. LayCool

LayCool are out to the ring first, to a bit of an apathetic reaction from the crowd. Natalya is out next, to a nice pop from the crowd.

The lights dim and the chime sounds as there's a message from the anonymous GM. Cole asks for the crowds attention, letting the crowd know there's an e-mail. Cole quotes, saying that Teddy Long may have allowed LayCool to co-hold the Championship, but he's in charge and things are going to change. The GM says he gets messages about how annoying Cole is, and this won't be a handicap match, but a fatal four way, featuring the three women in the ring, and the Eve.

    WWE Divas Championship
    Fatal Four Way Match
Natalya (c) vs. Layla vs. Michelle McCool vs. Eve

LayCool work together right off the bat and take it to both of the other women. Teaming up on Eve and hitting a double front Russian leg sweep. Natalya is able to fight off LayCool while Eve ends up thrown out of the ring. Natalya is able to slingshot Layla into McCool, causing her to spear McCool, but when Natalya goes for the pin, McCool pulls Layla to the outside. McCool assaults Natalya on the outside, and in the ring it comes down to McCool and Layla. They both stare eachother down for a bit until Natalya pulls Layla down from behind and Eve almost scores a surprise roll up. Eve goes to attack Natalya and Natalya is almost able to lock in the sharpshooter. Layla tries to interfere, but she ends up being locked up into it too and it ends up being a double sharpshooted. McCool tries for a pin on Eve, but it's broken up. Eve pins McCool but Layla breaks it up and tosses Eve to the outside.

Back in the ring, Natalya takes out Layla with a right hand and McCool with a modified Michinoku driver. Natalya hits Layla with a discus clothesline in the corner. Natalya picks Layla up, and McCool goes for a kick, hitting Layla hard. Natalya almost scores the roll up, before tossing McCool to the outside. Natalya is tossed out by Eve. Eve hits a moonsault on Layla, and McCool rolls up Natalya at the same time. Both women get the three count but Eve is declared the winner. Eve is given the title and McCool is furious, immediately arguing with the ref.

Winner and NEW WWE Divas Champion: Eve

    Backstage:

Daniel Bryan is backstage with Gail Kim and Josh Matthews. Bryan says that tonight anything can happen, and even though most people would think it's unlikely, if he could go from NXT rookie to main-eventing WrestleMania, that'd be pretty cool. The Bella's interrupt with flowers, and they apologize for their actions and say that Bryan and Kim are a perfect couple because they're both in the same league. Kim begins arguing with both of the Bella's, and a catfight ensues. Bryan is slapped, and everything is breaking down into hair pulling. Eventually people come in to pull the Bella's off Bryan and Kim, and Cole makes fun of Bryan.

    - Again, we get a video package highlighting random numbers of the Rumble, such as number of competitors, their combined weight, and other useless factoids.

    40 Man Royal Rumble

Justin Roberts announces this as the biggest Rumble match in history, then gives a quick run down of the rules, for those fans out there that may not be in the know. The man who drew number one is the leader of the Nexus himself, CM Punk.

The second man in the Royal Rumble, and the man who, along with Punk, has the highest mountain to climb, is Ezekial Jackson, and Wade Barett? and Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater are ringside. All four men make their way onto the apron and all four men begin wailing on Punk. The rest of the New Nexus make their way down to the ring, and a brawl ensues as everyone begins brawling around the ringside area, but this match hasn't even started as Cole gets another e-mail.

The GM is ordering the officials to restore order, and stop the men in the ring. Cole says the only man with the right to be in the ring right now is CM Punk and everyone else must return to the locker room immediately, and failure to comply will result in disqualification from the Rumble match. Everyone does indeed make their way to the back, arguing all the way.

The real #2 entrant will be Daniel Bryan, and ROH fans everywhere are wetting themselves over this first period.

The bell rings and Punk locks in a headlock. Bryan fights out but Punk hits a clothesline. Bryan hits a single leg dropkick, backflips over Punk, and hits a nice running forearm. Bryan shoulders Punk and tries to take him over, but it's blocked. Punk knocks Bryan out to the apron, but Bryan comes back in with a springboard dropkick. Bryan goes for a dropkick in the corner, but Punk avoids it.

    #3 is Justin Gabriel

Gabriel goes right after CM Punk and he and Punk trade blows.

Punk is able to backdrop Gabriel to the apron. Bryan attacks Punk from behind. Gabriel goes for the 450, but Punk rolls out of the way. Bryan hits a back suplex sending Gabriel to the outside.

    Justing Gabriel is eliminated.

    #4 is Zak Ryder

Ryder comes into the ring and takes it to both Punk and Bryan right off the bat.

Bryan is able to fight back against Ryder, but he catches a kick to the chest. Ryder ends up being launched by Bryan into a kick into Punk before Bryan sends him over the top with a hip toss.

    Zak Ryder has been eliminated.

Bryan lays into Punk with a couple of kicks, but Punk comes right back and attempts to eliminate Bryan.

    William Regal is #5

Regal comes out and takes it right to Bryan with a huge innovative suplex before hitting Punk with a big clothesline and another suplex. Regal kicks Punk in the side of the head before going back to Bryan. Bryan and Regal trade uppercuts in the middle of the ring and Bryan comes out on top before Regal punches him in the gut. Punk kicks Regal, and Bryan kicks Punk, before kicking Regal in the side of the head.

    Ted Dibiase is #6

Dibiase goes after Bryan and Regal first, taking out both men, before taking CM Punk down with a big clothesline. Dibiase attempts to force Punk over the top, but Punk won't let go of the ropes. Bryan lays into Regal with a nasty series of kicks to the chest and one more to the head. Bryan turns to Dibiase and Punk and tries to eliminate Dibiase, but Dibiase won't go down.

    #7 is John Morrison.

Morrison comes in and takes everyone out as the fresh man. Morrison hits the C4 on Bryan, but he's caught off guard by Dibiase, who tries to throw him over the top. Regal launches him out, and Morrison is able to catch himself on the barricade.

William Regal is eliminated by Ted Dibiase.

Morrison jumps from the barricade to the ring steps and reenters the match. Things break down to Dibiase and Morrison and Dibiase and Punk and Bryan.

    #8 is Yoshi Tatsu.

Yoshi comes in and goes right after Dibiase, while Punk, Bryan and Morrison fight amongst themselves. Bryan goes for a German suplex, but Morrison is able to land on his feet. Morrison and Punk almost have Bryan out of the match, but he's able to sneak back into the ring as the clock begins to count down again.

    #9 is Husky Harris.

Harris is in and he immediately takes it to everyone in his match, and begins protecting Punk. Everyone teams up on Harris and he ends up sitting on Punk while he's being beaten. It doesn't last for long though, and things just break down to a punching and kicking fest in the ring between everyone else. Punk hits a beautiful side suplex on Bryan.

    #10 is Chavo Guerrero.

Chavo comes in and turns his attention right to Dibiase, attemption the three amigos, but it's broken up by Punk. Chavo tries for the three amigos on Punk, but it's broken up by Morrison. It's broken up again, in turn by Bryan, and he's the one who finally falls victim to all three suplexes. Chavo gets up and celebrates before being leveled by Husky Harris. Chavo is able to come back with a missile dropkick to Harris.

    #11 is Mark Henry.

Henry makes his way down to the ring and begins head butting everything in sight. Henry catches a diving Chavo and tosses him out.

    Chavo Guerrero has been eliminated.

Yoshi tries to attack Henry from behind and he's clotheslined over the ropes for his troubles.

    Yoshi Tatsu has been eliminated.

    #12 is JTG.

JTG comes into the Rumble taking it to everyone, before eventually turning to Harris. Punk and Bryan continue to fight each other, and Harris continues to try and protect his leader. JoMo is attempting to eliminate Dibiase, but he doesn't appear to be going anywhere. The clock begins to count down again.

    #13 is Michael McGillicuty.

McGuillicuty comes in and immediately begins attacking everyone before dropkicking JTG out to the floor.

    JTG has been eliminated.

McGuillicuty and Harris team up, but their union comes to an end as everyone tries to keep them apart. Harris and McGuillicuty come back though, and are able to backdrop Dibiase over the ropes.

    Ted Dibiase Jr. is eliminated.

    Chris Masters is #14.

Masters locks in the Masterlock on CM Punk, almost eliminating him, before McGuillicuty and Harris are able to save him.

    #15 is David Otunga.

Otunga makes his way down and helps his comrades. Punk is able to toss Bryan over the top. As well as Chris Masters.

Daniel Bryan and Chris Masters have been eliminated.

Nexus team up and tip Morrison over the top rope to the apron, and even though Morrison attempts to hold tight, they eventually kick him to the floor.

    John Morrison has been eliminated.

Nexus team up on Mark Henry and are also able to force him over the top rope to the outside.

    #16 is Tyler Reks.

Tyler Reks enters a ring where the only other people are members of Nexus, and he's quickly dispatched from the ring.

    Tyler Reks has been eliminated.

Nexus hang out in the ring and await the next man out.

    #17 is Vladamir Kozlov.

Kozlov comes in hot, immediately kicking Punk to the mat, but the overwhelming force of Nexus is too much for Kozlov and he ends up taking a crushing senton from Harris before he's picked up to his feet and tossed to the outside by Punk.

    Vladamir Kozlov is eliminated.

Again, Punk and Nexus wait for the next entrant.

    #18 is R-Truth.

Truth runs down to the ring to try his luck, and even though he does his best to fight off everyone, just like the men before him, he falls to the overwhelming Nexus. Punk hits Truth with the high knee in the corner and asks the crowd 'what's up', before hitting the bulldog. Punk picks up Truth and tosses him to the outside.

    R-Truth is eliminated.

#19 is the returning Great Khali.

Khali makes his way down to the ring and Punk looks terrified. Khali takes out everyone with big punches, and a big boot to McGuillicuty. Khali tosses Harris over the top.

    Husky Harris has been eliminated.

Khali turns to Punk and begins stomping on him in the corner before picking him up and laying him out with a punch.

    #20 is Mason Ryan.

Ryan makes his way out to the ring and trades blows with Khali, with Khali immediately putting Ryan down. Ryan is able to duck a clothesline, and Ryan pushes Khali over the top rope to the outside.

The Greak Khali has been eliminated.

Punk and Nexus end up in the ring alone again, minus Harris of course, waiting for the next man.

    #21 is Booker T.

Booker comes out to the ring and Striker calls it a Mark Out Moment. Booker ends up being beat down by Ryan right off the bat, but he comes right back, even scoring the axe kick on Otunga. McGuillicuty attacks from behind, but Booker hits the book end, and drops down to one knee before doing the spin-a-roonie. Punk tries to eliminate Booker, but Booker turns it around, almost eliminating Punk. Ryan grabs Booker from behind and takes him over the top rope, dumping him on the outside.

    Booker T has been eliminated.

    #22 is John Cena.

Cena's music hits and Punk's face drops. Cena takes off his shirt at the top of the ramp, counts the members of Nexus, and charges. Cena takes out all the members of Necus, using the confusion of numbers. Cena low bridges Mason Ryan, sending him over the top, before clotheslining McGuillicuty and Otunga over the top rope.

Mason Ryan, Michael McGuillicuty, and David Otunga have been eliminated.

Cena stares down Punk and smiles. Punk tries to get the jump on Cena, but Cena comes back with a couple of blows of his own. Punk tries for the GTS but Cena fights out of it, and both men hit clotheslines at the same time.

    #23 is Hornswoggle.

Honrswoggle plays for the crowd, before mocking Punk, only to eat a big kick from Punk for his troubles. Punk turns his attention to Cena, laying into him with a series of kicks. Punk shoulders Cena and tries to dump him over the top rope, but Cena turns it around and hits the AA over the top rope, eliminating Punk.

    CM Punk has been eliminated.

Cena goes over and shakes Hornswoggles hand, picking him back up to his feet.

    Tyson Kidd is #24.

Kidd makes his way in the ring where he's immediately made a fool of by Hornswoggle, before eating an AA from Cena. Hornswoggle then shoulders Kidd and hits a mini-AA of his own. Cena picks Kidd up and tosses him over the top.

    Tyson Kidd has been eliminated.

    #25 is Heath Slater.

Slater makes his way out to the ring and quickly gets a couple of shoulderblocks from Cena, and a stunner from Hornswoggle before Cena connects with the side suplex. Cena and Hornswoggle both go for, and connect with the five knuckle shuffle. Hornswoggle goes to the top and connects with the tadpole splash, and Cena tosses Slater over the top.

    Heath Slater has been eliminated.

    #26 is Kofi Kingston.

Kingston makes his way down to a big ovation from the crowd. Kingston takes his time coming into the ring. Cena and Kingston stare each other down, and it looks like Hornswoggle will be a spectator or something. Kingston and Cena lock up, and Kofi is able to come up with a big back elbow, and a beautiful dropkick, before mounting him in the corner and hitting a series of punches.

    #27 is Jack Swagger.

Swagger comes in and immediately takes it to both Cena and Kingston. Swagger connects with a Vader bomb on Cena, and Hornswoggle hits him from behind. This allows Kingston to hit a big cross body from the top, and Kingston uses Hornswoggle as a launching pad for the boom drop.

    #28 is Sheamus.

Sheamus comes right to the ring and takes it to everyone but Hornswoggle, hitting the Irish Curse backbreaker on Cena. Sheamus then down indeed turn to Hornswoggle, shoving him down to the mat hard. Hornswoggle gets up and teases sweet shin music, hitting it, but Sheamus comes right back, grabs him by the throat and puts him on the top rope. Cena hits the side suplex from behind, but Sheamus is able to come back and hit the bicycle kick to Hornswoggle, sending him to the outside.

    Hornswoggle has been eliminated

    #29 is Rey Mysterio.

Mysterio is able to clean house until he's clotheslined by Sheamus. Mysterio is able to send Swagger to the outside, and even though he hangs on, Mysterio hits the 619, sending him to the floor.

    Jack Swagger has been eliminated.

    #30 is Wade Barrett.

Barrett comes out and he tries to hit the wasteland on Kofi to the outside, but he's caught with a dropkick to the knee by Mysterio. Barrett is able to connect with a suplex on Cena, but then he finds himself on the end of Kofi Kingston's boots.

    #31 is Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler makes his way down to the ring slowly, but he's able to do a lot of damage. Ziggler and Barrett almost attempt to eliminate Cena, but Mysterio breaks up the attempt.

    #32 is Kevin Nash!

Everyone in the ring is stunned as Nash makes his way down to the ring. Barrett tries to attack but he's shrugged off, as is everyone else. Nash hits Ziggler with a big elbow in the corner, and even hits Cena with a short arm clothesline.

    #33 is Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre goes straight for Nash, teaming up with Sheamus and pounding down on Big Daddy Cool.

The No. 34 entrant was Alex Riley, who came out to The Miz's music. Miz accompanied Riley to ringside. Meanwhile, the youth movement kicked Nash's ass, as Barrett eliminated Diesel at 52:30 to a chorus of boos. A good portion of fans continued to chant "Diesel." Miz joined the announcers on commentary.

The No. 35 entrant was Big Show. Here come some more eliminations. Show and Diesel crossed paths on the stage and had a brief visual exchange. WrestleMania 27? Show eliminated Dolph Ziggler at 54:50.

The No. 36 entrant was Ezekiel Jackson. As Jackson was coming to the ring, Show eliminated Drew McIntyre. However, Big Zeke eliminated Show at 55:35. The announcers put it over big and replayed Show's elimination.

The No. 37 entrant was Santino Marella. Santino went after Zeke, who scared the hell out of him by posing and yelling. Santino turned around and walked right into Sheamus's Brough Kick. The announcers put over Cena as the longest entrant with 25 minutes in.

The No. 38 entrant was Alberto Del Rio, who was given the full Ricardo Rodriguez treatment.

The No. 39 entrant was Randy Orton. Del Rio was still taking his sweet time getting to the ring when Orton's music played. Orton charged out and roughed up Del Rio at ringside. Orton rolled Del Rio inside the ring and hit the RKO. Orton eliminated Kingston and then Sheamus in rapid fire order around the 61:00.

The No. 40 entrant was Kane. Hunter who? Striker said Kane is approaching the record set by Shawn Michaels for most Rumble eliminations. Alex Riley was not in the ring and was nowhere to be found. Kane eliminated Zeke at 62:45.

Kane was eliminated by Mysterio around 63:20. However, Barrett eliminated Mysterio seconds later.

The last four men in the ring were Cena, Barrett, Orton, and Del Rio. The crowd was not on the edge of their seats. Orton and Cena teased their second showdown of the match. They traded shots and the live crowd was so quiet you'd think it was a WWE Superstars match.

Alex Riley ran out at 66:30. Cena went after him. Miz ran out and dumped Cena over the top rope to eliminate him. I've never been so happy to lose a Royal Rumble pool. Miz and Riley ran backstage, leaving Barrett, Del Rio, and Orton as the final three.

Del Rio and Barrett both team up on Orton, choking him in the corner with their boots. Orton begins to fight back against both men with a series of clotheslines, a snap powerslam to Orton and his signature backbreaker to Del Rio. Orton is able to eliminate Barrett, but he finds himself immediately eliminated by Del Rio.

Wade Barrett and Randy Orton have been eliminated.

Del Rio believes he has won, but Santino crawls into the ring, and strikes with the cobra. Santino immediately begins celebrating, but when he goes to throw Del Rio out, it's turned around on him, and Del Rio, does indeed win.

Winner of the Royal Rumble: Alberto Del Rio

World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz & Dolph Ziggler

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Although World Heavyweight Champion Edge Speared his way to a tag team victory over his No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler, “acting” General Manager Vickie Guerrero made his signature maneuver illegal, just two days before their World Title showdown at the Royal Rumble (full coverage).

World Heavyweight Champion Edge & Randy Orton def. WWE Champion The Miz & Dolph Ziggler (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Following another outspoken Friday night address by The Miz, Rated RKO alumni Edge & Randy Orton reunited to battle The Awesome One & Dolph Ziggler in a Champions and Challengers Tag Team Match.

In the midst of absolute tag team mayhem, Edge defeated his bleach blond adversary with the Spear. However, as the dust cleared, an irate Vickie Guerrero used her authority to ban The Rated-R Superstar’s favorite instrument of destruction until further notice, declaring that if Edge uses the Spear in his Royal Rumble title match (preview), he will be disqualified and lose the World Heavyweight Championship. Following her proclamation, The Ultimate Opportunist hit Ziggler with three defiant Spears both inside and outside the ring.

Big Show def. Heath Slater (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Two weeks after being attacked by The Corre, Big Show returned, preparing to win his first Royal Rumble Match (preview). When The Corre surrounded the ring, the gigantic Superstar challenged each of them to face him one-on-one. First, Heath Slater attacked The World’s Largest Athlete from behind, initiating a match. After the giant defeated “The One Man Rock Band” with the chokeslam, he set his sights on Barrett, Jackson and Gabriel. The powerful new faction gained the advantage, only to face a barrage of Superstars, charging to the ring to send them packing.

Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston & Rey Mysterio def. Kane & Alberto Del Rio
    (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When Kane got knocked off the apron, he was unable to accept Alberto Del Rio’s tag attempt. The aristocratic Superstar took offense and shoved his partner, provoking The Big Red Monster to blast him with a big boot to the face before walking out on the action. This set the stage for Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston to hit a victorious 619-Trouble in Paradise combination, giving them tremendous momentum heading into the biggest Royal Rumble Match in history (preview).

Alberto Del Rio put on a Royal Rumble Match Exhibition (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In preparation for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble Match (preview), Alberto Del Rio arranged for 39 competitors from around the world to face him in a Royal Rumble Match Exhibition. But, his demonstration went terribly wrong when Kane made himself the surprise third entry. Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston then joined the fray, sending both Superstars over the top rope. When they reentered the ring to seek their revenge, Rey Mysterio came to Kofi’s aid. Determined to keep order, Vickie Guerrero made a tag team match with Mysterio & Kingston against Kane & Del Rio.

Drew McIntyre def. JTG (WATCH | PHOTOS)
With Kelly Kelly watching at ringside, Drew McIntyre defeated JTG with the Future Shock DDT. After the match, Kelly Kelly journeyed into the ring, presumably satisfied with the civilized way the “Chosen One” conducted himself. However, McIntyre did not stick around to find out, choosing instead to head up the ramp without looking back.

Michelle McCool & Layla def. Kelly Kelly & Kaitlyn

Two days before Team Lay-Cool will face Divas Champion Natalya in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match at the Royal Rumble (preview), they took on Kelly Kelly & Kaitlyn. Although their determined opponents attacked the flawless duo before the match, Layla’s interference allowed Michelle to execute a devastating kick to Kaitlyn’s face for the victory.

Vickie Guerrero assumed control of SmackDown (WATCH | PHOTOS)
As the result of injuries suffered in a mysterious attack one week ago, SmackDown GM Theodore Long was unable to return to his duties this week. As a result, Vickie Guerrero announced that she is the “acting” General Manager. When Dolph Ziggler took issue with Randy Orton’s disrespectful interruption of his girlfriend, The Viper treated him to an RKO.

Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/30/2011 at 03:04 PM

In an apparent first, TNA Wrestling officials recently punished two wrestlers for testing positive for a substance banned on the organization's drug testing policy. Though TNA did not acknowledge the situation publicly, the guilty wrestlers were pulled from some house shows as punishment. Both wrestlers have since returned to action and remain on the active roster.

R-Truth def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The truth hurts. That’s certainly what Tyson Kidd is thinking right now. The arrogant Superstar may believe he is the most talented competitor in the locker-room, but the truth is he lost for the second week in a row tonight. After falling to Yoshi Tatsu last Thursday, the Hart Dungeon-trained grappler locked up with R-Truth tonight and looked very impressive. But just like last week, Kidd’s ego got the better of him and he let his guard down, allowing the rapping Superstar to pull out the victory. The former WWE Tag Team Champion needs to get his head back in the game if he wants to make a serious impact.

Zack Ryder & Primo def. Yoshi Tatsu & David Hart Smith (WATCH | PHOTOS)
It’s been said that misery loves company. No wonder Zack Ryder & Primo work together so well. After defeating David Hart Smith & Darren Young on last Thursday’s “WWE Superstars,” the egotistical Raw competitors found success again this week with a win over Smith & Yoshi Tatsu. Of course, Long Island Iced Z & the Puerto Rican Superstar didn’t gain their victory on fair ground. Using every underhanded maneuver in the book, the dastardly duo stole the match from their talented opponents and got another ego boost they didn’t deserve.

Tyler Reks def. Trent Barreta (WATCH | PHOTOS)
It was only a matter of time before Tyler Reks returned to dominate on “WWE Superstars.” Absent from the ring for the past few weeks, the “Dreadlocked Demolition Man” came back tonight to make an example of the young Trent Barreta. Although nimble and talented, the highflyer is outweighed by Reks by more than 50 pounds. This size differential had a big impact on the bout as Reks used his brute strength to toss Barreta around the ring before finishing him off with the “Burning Hammer.”

Booker T considering a WWE return instead of TNA?
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 01/28/2011 at 04:10 PM

According to PWInsider.com, former world champion Booker T has canceled his scheduled appearance at this weekend’s New Orleans Comic Con at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Regarding a surprise appearance at Sunday’s Royal Rumble PPV, he was in discussions with World Wrestling Entertainment officials a few weeks ago regarding a potential return.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reports that there is actually a "pretty good chance" it could happen. The word is that Booker T has at least considered appearing at the Rumble and it's possible WWE made him a good offer to ensure he doesn't return to TNA as part of the Main Event Mafia.

    TNA iMPACT Results 1/27/11
    By Marc Middleton
    Jan 28, 2011 - 3:34:22 AM

    Source: PWInsider.com

We open with a recap of last week's ongoing situation between Kurt Angle and Jeff & Karen Jarrett, culminating with Immortal beating Kurt down and then Abyss coming out of the entranceway and collapsing with Janice buried in his back, and then Crimson coming out to warn Immortal that they're coming.

We head to the Impact Zone as Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring to address the crowd, telling us that he came out here to speak with the Jarretts in peace and put their heat behind them. Instead, the Jarretts decided to dig at Kurt's wounds and make it personal even though he didn't want to go down that road. Angle said he'd retire if he lost at Bound For Glory and he hasn't wrestled since, but Jeff Jarrett's forcing his hand and making him do what a man has to do. Angle is the best in the world and when he comes to a crossroads, he looks to the fans because they're the best in the world, and he wants to know how many of them want to see Kurt Angle in the ring one more time to beat the living (beep) out of Jeff Jarrett? Okay, we knew this was coming: Eric Bischoff comes out with his gang and says he's tired of listening to Angle trying to con the people into getting him back on the roster. Bischoff says he's retired and tells him to raise horses or play golf or something because his wrestling days are over, but if he wants an ass kicking, then he came to the right place. Bischoff sends Immortal down to the ring and they beat Angle down in the ring by virtue of their overwhelming numbers as Flair, Bischoff, and the Jarretts watch from the top of the ramp. Suddenly, Crimson runs in and clears out the ring with a baseball bat, and Flair says he doesn't care what his story is because next week, they're going to stick They up their own asses. He tells Angle that if he wants to wrestle again, Flair's lifted the ban and he's got Jeff Jarrett tonight. The Jarretts freak out on Flair, but Flair tells them to relax because Angle and his dumbass partner have Jarrett, and Beer Money, and Kazarian, and Gunner & Muffin (whose names Flair doesn't seem to know), and Rob Terry.

After commercial, we go to Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair in the office where Bischoff is chewing Flair out for letting Angle back in after how hard they worked to manipulate Angle into putting himself in retirement. Flair says that he's not drinking the Kool Aid and promises that Angle's going down tonight.

Tonight: Dixie Carter will address the fans and Ken Anderson will face Matt Hardy!

Now let's head to the ring for our opening match...

Elimination Match: Sarita, Madison Rayne & Tara vs Mickie James, Angelina Love & Velvet Sky

Winter grabs Angelina on her way to the ring to try and keep her from going out there without her, and Angelina finally lays down the law and says that Velvet is her BFF and Winter will have to deal with it. The Beautiful People leave and Winter throws a fit and starts banging on the walls and screaming. The match starts out as a pier six brawl with all the girls fighting it out in the ring. Mickie and Madison go to the floor, as do Velvet and Sarata, and they leave Tara alone in the ring with Angelina as the legal participants. Tara's still selling the elbow so Angelina twists the arm with a wristlock but Tara kicks Angelina and tags out to Madison. Angelina goes through her as well and tags to Mickie, but Madison runs and tags Sarita in and the two of them do a chain wrestling sequence until Mickie tags out to Velvet, and Velvet now beats Sarita up, sweeping the legs and then hitting a diving dropkick, but Sarita counters a flying headscissors into a backbreaker. Velvet gets a straitjacket drop and goes for the cover, but Madison comes in and nails Velvet and holds her so Madison can nail Velvet with the loaded glove but Velvet moves and Madison nearly nails Sarita but stops at the last second. Velvet sends Madison to the floor but Sarita gets a rollup to eliminate Velvet and then all hell breaks loose in the ring and Mickie somehow knocks Madison out with her own glove to eliminate her, and then Sarita immediately cradles Mickie and eliminates her as well. So now we're down to a 2-on-1 with Angelina by herself against both Sarita and Tara as we go to commercial.

We come back and Angelina nails Sarita with a leg lariat for 2 as we take a moment for an instant replay to see that Madison knocked herself out by falling on her own glove right before she got eliminated. Speaking of head trauma, we continue our break in the action to look backstage at Velvet Sky writhing around on the floor holding her head. Now why would she be doing that? Angelina continues to hold her own against both heels until Tara nails Angelina with her elbow brace and Sarita covers for 2. Tara and Sarita now tag in and out on Angelina and continue to work her over with Tara continuing to sell her elbow on every single move she performs on Angelina. Angelina suddenly hit the Botox Injection out of nowhere on Tara to eliminate her and then Sarita comes right in with an O'Connor Roll and then Angelina reverses to one of her own for the come from behind victory.

    Winner: Angelina Love

We go backstage to Kurt Angle, who's talking to somebody on the phone and saying they need to speed up the process and he needs them here. Who was Kurt talking to? Maybe we'll find out...after this commercial!

Matt Hardy's backstage talking about how Ken Anderson got lucky and he thinks that saying his name twice is stupid, and his purpose tonight is to make sure that Anderson doesn't even make it to next Thursday and he's going to do it for his brother thanks to the cold blood flowing through his icy veins.

Frankie Kazarian joins us on commentary for our next match...

X-Division #1 Contender's Tournament: Amazing Red vs Max Buck vs Chris Sabin

Seems like this is the first of three qualifying matches for a final three way to determine the #1 contender to the X Division Title, and each man gives prematch comments talking about how they're going to win this match and then become X Division Champion. Chris Sabin clears the ring and then Red comes in and do a fast paced exchange ending in the indy stalemate. Max comes in and tosses Sabin and then he goes after Red and works him over in the corner, but misses a charge and Red clears him out with a flying headscissors and then goes for a dive, but Sabin cuts him off with a clothesline for 2 and then springs out of the corner and hits a dive on Max on the floor. Sabin springboard into the ring and gets a thumb in the eye from Max, who then tosses Red and rolls Sabin up for 2. Buck with a cartwheel dropkick for 2 and then gets a chinlock as we see Jeremy choking Red on the floor with his boot. Red breaks free and comes in with a double missile dropkick and a tilt-a-whirl DDT for 2. Red goes for a springboard something but Sabin catches him and Rolls The Dice off the top rope for 2 and Max gets a Victory Dog on Sabin for 2. Red hits Code Red on Sabin, but Jeremy jumps on the apron to distract the referee and keep him from making the count. Red nails Jeremy and then goes up top, but Jeremy yanks him down and crotches him on the top rope, allowing Max to hit a top rope DDT for the win.

    Winner: Max Buck

Karen Jarrett walks in on Jeff and asks what he's doing and Jeff says he's getting ready for his match. Karen says Kurt was on the phone calling for backup, but Jarrett says he was probably just on the phone looking for protein bars and tells Karen to loosen him up.

Jeff Hardy is backstage, and looks like he's been sleeping on a park bench all week. AND HE'S WALKING!

The Beautiful People are backstage and Velvet Sky is telling Angelina that Winter knocked her out while Angelina was in the ring. Angelina asked if she was sure it was Winter and not Sarita since Sarita's a crazy Mexican. Angelina's words, not mine. Velvet is convinced it was Winter and she storms out.

We go to a video package looking back at the rise of Ken Anderson: Babyface Asshole, Jeff Hardy's turn to the Dark Side, and Anderson's World Title victory at Genesis, followed by Anderson talking about how he could crap a better looking World Title belt than the one Jeff Hardy created.

Speaking of Jeff Hardy, he (or a homeless man who looks just like him) comes strolling out to the ring to let the fans know that he is troubled by them because he's been destroying himself for years for them, but they're just a bunch of marks who don't care about him. Turning at Bound For Glory was the smartest thing he ever did because he is TNA, and now he wants to address the asshole becuase they're all a bunch of assholes. Ken Anderson beat him at Genesis but he's seven days away from his rematch, and when he gets his title back he's going to shove that moment up all their asses. Now Ken Anderson's music hits, and the WWE Divas Champion himself comes out to the ring to have a word with Mr Hardy. Anderson says Hardy sure does bitch a lot, and he thought he knew that the only things that matter in this business are Ws and Ls, and he's got a big W. He also notes that it has Hardy's face on it, and that's because he took it from Hardy. Hardy looks really angry. It's all about that belt, and next week he's going to continue being the Total Nonstop Action, Total Nonstop Asshole World Champion...Champion.

Crimson is backstage saying he was here for his brother Red and he always will be, but he was given a very lucrative offer he couldn't refuse, and next week we'll find out what They have planned. We then look at what Crimson did to Abyss last week, and we discover that Abyss has suffered nerve damage to his spine and will be out indefinitely.

Velvet Sky comes out to the ring holding the back of her head, calls Winter a bitch, and tells her she can't come to TNA and just break up the Beautiful People, she can't show up out of nowhere and attack her from behind, and if Angelina won't take care of her ass, she will, and she tells Winter to get in the ring with her right now. Winter comes out to the ring and Velvet goes out to the floor and attacks her, ramming her into the apron over and over and then into the guardrail. Velvet lays in kicks and chops and Winter bails into the ring but Velvet follows her in and bashes her head into the mat as she screams at Winter that Angelina is her partner, not Winter's. Suddenly Winter screams in Velvet's face and Velvet freezes, giving Winter the opening to take her down and try to rip Velvet's head off. Finally Angelina comes into the ring and pulls Winter off of Velvet, and Angelina tells her to get out of the ring as Velvet stands there sneering at Velvet before suddenly breaking into a smile as she backs her way up the ramp. Angelina tries to help Velvet out of the ring but Velvet breaks away from her and storms off to the back.

The Pope is backstage, and he's...WALKING!

We're back from commercial, and the Pope is out to address the Congregation. A few weeks ago, Pope allowed his emotions to get the best of him and he may have said some stuff he shouldn't have, and he's out here right now to do what none of us would ever do: he's going to lead by example and confess. So many people watching this are sitting next to someone they can't stand and act like everything's great, then wait for them to leave and stab them in the back, there's people who are going to finish watching Impact and get to bed and they know they're sleeping with the enemy, but they do it for the kids. But as the Pope, he's bigger and better than that, and he's better than all the fans, and he's going to kneel down and say right now to Samoa Joe...Joe...I don't like you, I don't like who you are, I don't like what you stand for, and asks who goes around in modern society saying "I'm gonna kill you", who sits in the crowd chanting "Joe's gonna kill you", and he's not going to bother with him because there's no hope and he can't work wonders. But what he can do is give a member of his Congregation the chance next week to follow Pope's lead and come onto Confession With The Pope and confess their faults, and he's going to do what he's always done and change this world one smile at a time. Pope has spoken.

We go back to Immortal's locker room as Flair gives his crew (and Eric Young, who is at the meeting for some reason) a pep talk and tells Rob Terry that he looks like a million dollars, but is nobody until he grinds someone. Gold medals don't matter in their world, and he tells Immortal to go get them. Immortal storms out the door to take care of business as Flair asks Young who the hell he is, and Young holds up the Legends/Global/TV Title belt and says he's the champion. Flair said he's no champion because that's a piece of crap that they threw out, and then he throws Young out of their locker room.

We see a video package looking back at the announcement that Hulk Hogan was coming on board at TNA, and everything that has happened since then, culminating in Hogan and Bischoff stealing the company from Dixie and Immortal running rampant over TNA, and then Dixie presenting the injunction on Thanksgiving night. We then go out to Mike Tenay and Taz, who have Dixie Carter on the phone and ask her for her thoughts on next week's ruling on the legal proceedings regarding the status of the company. She says she's confident that things will work out in her favor and her attorneys have assured her that she'll be back in control after next week. We then go to Eric Bischoff, who says that she's been drinking her own Kool Aid for so long that she can't tell the difference between Kool Aid and scotch. Two things will happen next week: Jeff Hardy will regain the WWE Divas Title, and Hulk Hogan will prevail in the lawsuit and everything will be as they should be with Immortal in control. Bischoff also puts the They thing in the same category as the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus: there is no They.

Ken Anderson is backstage, and he's...WALKING! Matt Hardy's backstage as well, and he's...CONVULSING!

    Time for our next match...

Matt Hardy vs TNA Champion Ken Anderson

They tie up and Matt uses his overwhelming mass to drive Anderson to the corner, but Anderson comes out fighting and Matt tries to climb the corner, but can't seem to make it to the top rope so he takes Anderson's arm and snaps it across the top rope, then hits a single arm DDT for 2. Hardy works the wristlock and slams the elbow over his shoulder and then repeatedly rams Anderson's shoulder into the ringpost several times until the referee stands in the way to prevent further damage. Hardy works the hammerlock and takes Anderson down to the mat, but Anderson makes it to his feet and fights his way free and runs over Hardy with a clothesline, running elbow, and neckbreaker for 2. Anderson picks Hardy up for a fireman's carry but can't seem to support his weight, and Hardy slips out and hits a Death Valley Driver for 2 and then goes for the Twist Of Hate, but Anderson slips out and, with a Herculean effort, picks Hardy back up and (very quickly) delivers a Finlay Roll for 2. Anderson goes for the Mic Check but Hardy blocks and hits the Side Effect for 2, but goes for an arrogant cover and Anderson rolls Hardy to his back for 3.

    Winner: Ken Anderson

Anderson goes to leave but Jeff Hardy runs out of the back and nails Anderson, then rolls him into the ring and the Hardys beat Anderson down 2-on-1. Rob Van Dam's music hits and he comes running out to make the save and spinkicks Matt as Jeff bails out the second he sees RVD and heads for the hills.

Kurt Angle & Crimson are WALKING backstage, and Angle tells Crimson not to worry, because they won't be alone out there. We're at commercial.

    It's main event time!

Kurt Angle & Crimson vs Jeff Jarrett, Frankie Kazarian, Rob Terry, AJ Styles, Beer Money, Gunner & Murphy I always love when the main event starts at 10:56, that's when I know I'm in for a real quality match. Styles is out in street clothes, and Jeff Jarrett is nowhere to be seen. Roode and Crimson start and Roode drives Crimson to the corner and unloads with boots and rights and beats Crimson down in the corner, but Crimson comes back with a leaping clothesline off the ropes and a Falcon Arrow suplex for 2. Crimson tags Angle in but Roode takes Angle to the corner and tags Kazarian in, and Angle catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker so Kazarian tags out to Storm and they jockey for position until Angle gets an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and then takes out the entire Immortal team on the apron. Storm with a lungblower from behind and Flair nearly topples over the top rope yelling at Angle, but Storm goes for a superkick and Angle ducks so Storm hits the referee. Angle hits the Angle Slam on Storm, but now the entire group start to beat Angle and Crimson down, and now Jeff Jarrett comes out with his full entrance with music and pyro. He tells the rest of Immortal to back off and he waits for Angle to get to his feet and goes for a punch, but Angle ducks and hits a German Suplex so Immortal all bum rush Angle and beat him down again as Jarrett eggs them on. Jarrett finally hits the Stroke and Jackson James slides in to count 3.

Winners: Jeff Jarrett, Frankie Kazarian, Rob Terry, AJ Styles, Beer Money, Gunner & Murphy

Karen gives Jeff a big kiss as Immortal celebrates. They continue beating Angle down even after the match, and suddenly Matt Morgan's music hits and he comes into the ring to make the save and he gets swarmed and overwhelmed by the numbers, too. Suddenly, the lights go out and the sirens hit, and when they come back up, Scott Steiner is in the ring with a lead pipe and he clears Immortal out. Immortal backs up the rampway in fear as Steiner stands there swearing at them and daring them to come back and fight him. Steiner turns to Angle and they share a smile and a nod as we go off the air.

    Concern Over WrestleMania

    Concern Over WrestleMania

    - There continues to be great concern amongst WWE officials over the match line-up for WrestleMania 27.

While it's likely that WWE will produce a strong wrestling card, the major point of concern is that it will take more than that to attract the masses and draw the type of revenue that is expected of the organization's grandest event of the year.
