Matt Hardy criticizes the Cena/Nexus storyline Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 12/02/2010 at 03:32 PM
Thanks to Big Daddy Donnie for the following:
Matt Hardy is on this week's episode of Tha O Show (www.thaOshow.com), hosted by Big Daddy Donnie & Dan-e-o and this week's in studio guest - indy worker, Jewells Malone. This is only the second interview Matt Hardy has done since leaving WWE (the first being Highway 2 Helms, hosted by his best friend Gregory Helms).
Marty Garner AKA Cham Pain is the co-host of Highway 2 Helms and has been a regular contributor to Tha O Show for years. Garner was on the line with Matt Hardy for almost an hour talking about everything under the sun.
"They're [WWE] into this youth movement thing, and it's not a youth movement they need it's a talent movement".
Matt specifically mentioned people like Gail Kim being misused and Christian. He said that Vince McMahon may still be holding a grudge against Christian for his TNA run, but the fact that he hasn't been crowned World Champion is an injustice. Matt referred to Christian as the best worker he'd ever been in the ring with.
"The John Cena thing really bothers me. You lose this match and you have to join Nexus. He did that and within 6 or 7 weeks he had an opportunity to get out. So then people were like oh man he`s fired. I actually liked the first three quarters of his promo until he started talking about Wade Barrett - the first three quarters were very real, very sincere. Then he shows up in the crowd [this past week on Raw] he was wearing knee pads! Then he jumped the rail and he time to take his top off, go to announcer's table and take the monitors out, and there was no security .... i mean ... c'mon."
Matt went on to say that Cena being on Raw this week was likely a sign from management that they didn't believe in Miz to carry the ratings - especially with Orton off the show.
- As noted before, AAA star Zorro is expected to sign a two-year deal with TNA and begin working soon. It's expected that he will debut in TNA under a new name. AAA and TNA have been working for months on talent exchanges.

David Hart Smith def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS) For the first time ever, former WWE Tag Team Champions Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith squared off in what everyone in the WWE Universe knew would be a heated battle. Since violently parting ways three weeks ago on Raw, the ex-members of The Hart Dynasty have been burning to lock up and the first showdown between these two young talents was nothing short of a war. Called the best pound for pound competitor on the WWE roster by CM Punk, the spiteful Kidd knew hed have to utilize every hold he learned in the fabled Hart Dungeon to bring down his powerful opponent. But the grappler was shocked when Smith won the match not with his strength, but with an unexpected pinning counter. Feeling that theyd settled their differences, David Hart Smith offered his hand to Tyson Kidd, but only received a slap in the face in return. Clearly, this conflict is far from over.
William Regal def. Darren Young (WATCH | PHOTOS) In October, Darren Young lost to the belligerent William Regal on two separate editions of WWE Superstars. Learning from those losses, Young came at The British Brawler with a more focused plan of attack tonight, but still couldnt outwrestle the snide veteran. Using all the brutal maneuvers hes mastered in his 20 plus years in the ring, the former Intercontinental Champion pounded Young to the mat before putting him away with an excruciating Regal Stretch.
Tyler Reks def. Trent Barreta (WATCH | PHOTOS) Fun loving and talented, Trent Barreta has been making some waves on WWE Superstars in recent weeks, but the young SmackDown competitor knew he would have his work cut out for him with the menacing Tyler Reks tonight. But to make things worse, Barretas rival and former childhood friend, Curt Hawkins, made a surprise appearance at ringside where he sat in on commentary. Distracted by his aggressive adversary, Barreta had trouble sticking to his game plan against the massive Reks. Despite a spirited effort, the high-flying Superstar fell victim to the big mans devastating burning hammer and lost the bout.
TNA Wrestling officials recently asked three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page, 54, if he would consider returning to the organizationhe had a brief run in 2005. He declined the company's offer as he is not interested in returning to the wrestling industry at this time. He is now an actor, fitness guru and motivational speaker.

Randy Orton Reportedly Injured Knee Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/30/2010 at 11:08 AM
Randy Orton's injury suffered on last week's RAW at the hands of Nexus is reportedly legit. Orton apparently displaced his kneecap after Husky Harris kicked him. Orton's knee has been swollen and he's been in some pain. Besides last night's RAW and Sunday's live event in Maryland, he isn't expected to miss much time.
What Happened After Raw Last Night Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/30/2010 at 12:07 AM
Reader Agahzi attended WWE Raw last night and passed along the following report:
Wade Barrett came out and called out John Cena, who ran in from the crowd. Nexus ran out, but Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan chased them off. Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment and Five Knuckle Shuffle on Barrett to end it.
Cena got on the mic and said Barrett was dumb to call him out. He said it's been a wonderful night because he beat up Nexus. He then announced that it was Jerry Lawler's birthday. Cena led the whole crowd in singing happy "103rd" birthday to Jerry Lawler. The crowd sang and the divas all came out with a cake. Along with the Divas were all of the season three NXT forks. Cena took the cake and started a food fight.

Mick Foley doesn't feel he will stay with TNA Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 12/01/2010 at 02:59 PM
Credit: Jason Powell of prowrestling.net
During an appearance on "Geek Week Live" on Tuesday, Mick Foley stated that he isn't planning on re-signing with TNA when his contract expires with the company next year.
"I love the idea of having a part-time job that pays well. TNA has been a real blessing in that sense. I would rather be motivated, but it's still nice in this economy to have a job like that. That will expire in eight or nine months. The chances of that relationship continuing are probably not that good. Once you have Hulk Hogan as the face of your company, there's no need for me. And one of the challenges they have on their show, and I understand completely, is there's only so much room for the non-wrestling talker every week, and I had a lot of time to do that for a year and a half."
Foley later went on to say that he expects part of his life to always be involved in wrestling and wouldn't be surprised to receive a call about the WWE Hall of Fame at some point. He also expressed disappointment with TNA not airing any footage of his appearance on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and Stewart's "Rally for Sanity."
"I've been beating myself up and it's frustrating because I can't seem to get the decision makers in TNA to realize that it is a big deal to show me in front of 250,000 fans at the Jon Stewart rally and to show the reaction of the crowd. What I'm getting when I ask these questions is a lot of what WCW was. With WWE, we knew that's who you talk to, and so it's very frustrating. I will eventually throw up my hands and just say, 'Okay, I'll walk to the mailbox every two weeks.'"
Foley added that he doesn't plan on wrestling more often as he gets hurt too easy and "it's not worth the extra tenth of a rating point."

PHILADELPHIA The lineage of those whove worn the King of the Ring crown is rich with WWE Hall of Famers and Legends, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Edge and Triple H. Tonight, a new King, an Irish King would capture the throne to take his place among WWE royalty.
WWE Champion The Miz def. Jerry The King Lawler in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) In the first defense of his new title, WWE Champion The Miz faced Jerry The King Lawler in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. Although the two exchanged heated words earlier in the evening, once inside the ring, they let their actions do the talking.
Unfortunately for Lawler, Alex Riley would also have a say. The Miz's assistant attempted to intervene, but "The King" fought him off. Later, Michael Cole would also interfere in the dangerous duel when he sensed the WWE Champion might lose. The Miz acolyte halted Lawler's ascent up a ladder, costing him the bout and allowing The "Cleveland Screamer" to bask in the glory of his first successful title defense.
Sheamus def. John Morrison to become 2010 King of the Ring (WATCH | PHOTOS) Welcome your 2010 King of the Ring, Sheamus! The Irishman went into the final match with a distinct advantage, having competed in one earlier qualifying match as opposed to Morrisons two. The Celtic Warrior heavily leveraged that advantage, using his reserve of energy to overcome Morrisons impressive athleticism.
After the contest, the royal coronation took place, in which Sheamus was crowned by the reigning Miss USA, Rima Fakih. The time has come, WWE Universe, to hail the new King.
Divas Champion Natalya, Gail Kim & Melina def. Maryse, Alicia Fox & Tamina (WATCH | PHOTOS) Love knows no bounds or schedules. Even during a match, the love bug struck Tamina as she paired with Maryse & Alicia Fox against Divas Champion Natalya, Gail Kim & Melina. She was paid a visit by Santino Marella, who serenaded her with a love song. The amorous interruption allowed Natalya to lock the Sharpshooter onto Alicia, who tapped out to give her opponents the win.
Wade Barrett confronted John Cena (WATCH | PHOTOS) After John Cena ambushed WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater, their Nexus leader, Wade Barrett, decided there was only one course of action. The Englishman called out the man he had fired, but Cena was already in the arena parking lot.
The Englishman then ordered his minions to flood the parking lot. When The Nexus members did just that, however, they soon found themselves confronted by a host of Raw Superstars there to face off against them. As his former Nexus cohorts were beaten or fled, Cena told Barrett - the only man who can hire him back - that he would not relent until he took out each and every one of The Nexus members.
John Morrison def. Alberto Del Rio in a King of the Ring Semifinals Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) In their King of the Ring Semifinals Match, John Morrison and Alberto Del Rio had an unexpected visitor. The athletic duo clashed in an impressive outing for both when Del Rios nemesis, Rey Mysterio, appeared in Del Rio's automobile. The moneyed Mexican lost focus and found The Shaman of Sexy quick to capitalize, nailing his opponent to advance in the tournament.
Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Accounts of John Cenas departure have been greatly exaggerated. During a match pitting WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater against Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu, Cena showed everyone he isnt going away without a fight. As the Nexus pair fought on, Cena weaved through the crowd and watched from a ringside seat, allowing The Worlds Strongest Man to capitalize.
Afterward, the pink-slipped Superstar hopped a barricade and leveled Slater with an Attitude Adjustment through the announce table. Before Nexus descended, Cena made his escape through the frenzied crowd.
WWE Champion The Miz vs. Jerry Lawler in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match arranged (WATCH | PHOTOS) During his celebratory address, new WWE Champion The Miz boasted, bragged and bullied. In other words, he was his typically nauseating self. The whole spectacle proved too much for Jerry The King Lawler, who noted that Miz defeated Randy Orton only after the former champion had been attacked by The Nexus and had to fight the groups formidable leader, Wade Barrett. Miz appeared incensed, but the anonymous Raw General Manager chimed in. The GM arranged a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match pitting Miz against Lawler!
Ezekiel Jackson vs. Drew McIntyre King of the Ring First Round Match ended in a Double Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS) For Ezekiel Jackson, any result shy of victory warrants swift punishment. In his first round, King of the Ring match against Drew McIntyre, Big Zeke and the Scot were both eliminated from crown contention as a result of a double count-out. Though both were eliminated from the tournament, Big Zeke still dragged McIntyre back into the ring, where he slammed him in a fit of rage.
John Morrison def. Dashing Cody Rhodes in a King of the Ring First Round Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) SmackDown 1, Raw 1. In the first round of the 2010 King of the Ring Tournament, John Morrison avenged Raws earlier loss by defeating the blue brands Dashing Cody Rhodes.
The Nexus Michael McGillicutty attacked (WATCH) Michael McGillicutty appeared to be on a mission to penalize R-Truth for trying to help John Cena last week. As he headed toward the ring from the locker room area, however, the Nexus disciples mission got cut painfully short. He was attacked by an unknown assailant, who offered up a mysterious You Cant See Me wave of the hand at the end of the brutal beatdown.
Alberto Del Rio def. U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan in a King of the Ring First Round Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Kicking off Raws special King of the Ring tournament, SmackDowns Alberto Del Rio drove by in style, naturally to tangle with United States Champion Daniel Bryan. Not only did the moneyed Mexican prevail in the tournaments first round, he forced Bryan a proven submission specialist to tap out!
Alex Riley promised extravagant celebration for new WWE Champion The Miz After his boss cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and captured the WWE Title, Alex Riley assured the WWE Universe that the celebration later in the evening will be nothing short of spectacular. Knowing Miz as we do, humilitys invitation to the party was likely lost in the mail.
