Write their names in your hearts! I light these candles for the lost souls of Mr Sayilu Pandla 70 and his Wife Pochamma 65 who were burnt alive as alledged witches, only recently on the 3rd May 2007, in Upputimmayapalli 150km North of Hyderabad in India
Last week (1st week of May 2008) a girl was banned from school for having told her classmates that she was a witch and they feared for their lives as they were convinced that she had put a spell on them and that they were all going to die! The mother of the girl - also a witch - came to speak in defense for her daughter stating that Witches do not cast spells on people and that they will never cast any bad spells as the witches law tells us that everything we do to someone else will come back to us threefold. and this happened in a "Modern", "civilized" Western country??? In 2008??? When will they ever learn?
