The Script is een Ierse band bestaande uit Danny O Donaghue, Mark Sheehan & Glen Power. De muziekstijl van dit trio wordt omschreven als een mix van Pop melodieën, Rock, Celtic Soul met daardoor de hiphop/R&B achtige flow van zanger Danny. De emotie en passie is terug te horen zoals je die zou kunnen verwachten van een Ierse band, maar dan in een moderne en aanstekelijke vorm. Danny O' Donaghue Mark Sheehan -> <- Glen Power
Danny en Mark hebben elkaar ontmoet in hun jongere tienerjaren in Dublin, vlakbij de Guinness bierbrouwerij. Hun liefde voor muziek heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ze samen liedjes zijn gaan schrijven en produceren. Hun talent werd ontdekt en zijn toen uitgenodigd om naar de Verenigde Staten te komen om een samenwerking aan te gaan met een aantal van hun idolen. Bekende producers in de moderne RnB scene als Dallas Austin, Teddy Riley, The Neptunes en Rodney Jerkins hebben Danny en Mark op weg geholpen. Het was een prachtige kans om te zien hoe deze jongens een track in elkaar zetten, aldus Mark.
Danny en Mark zijn begonnen als een productieteam die zich bezig hielden met het maken van demos voor andere artiesten, totdat ze drummer Glen uit Dublin tegenkwamen. Ze waren zo onder de indruk van de drummer dat Mark, Glen had uitgenodigd om mee te gaan naar Los Angeles (USA) om te laten zien wat hij in huis had. Glen is begonnen op 15 jarige leeftijd met het spelen van sessies, waarvan hij het geld gebruikte voor een soloproject in zijn eigen studio. Dit project heeft Glen op een laag pitje gezet tijdens de hechte samenwerking met Danny en Mark. Afzonderlijk hadden we allemaal ons eigen talent, maar als we samen zijn zitten we op een heel ander niveau volgens Danny.
