Pierce Brosnan has confirmed his participation in FIRST LAW (LEY PRIMERA), a
USA/Argentina co-production directed by Diego Rafecas. The film's plot will
deal with the enviromental issues of the region, as well as the illegal
appropiation of national lands. The film will be shot in New York, Chaco, a
province in the north of Argentina, and Buenos Aires. It is yet unknown if the
Irish actor will shot scenes in Chaco or Buenos Aires and details of his role.
Opposite the GOLDENEYE star will be Argentinean actors Rodrigo de la Serna, Luis
Luque and renowed character actress Norma Aleandro. Some sources also point
out a young 21 year old boy is hoping to reach the actor and accomplish the
dream of his life ;)
This star-studded, invitation event offers a black tie dinner, live entertainment and dancing. The exclusive guest list has included Academy Award nominees, presenters and a number of internationally known stars.
The Children Uniting Nations Award Celebration and Viewing Dinner has in the past featured performances by Grammy Award winning artists including Chaka Kahn, Wyclef Jean, Jose Feliciano and Natalie Cole.

James Bond, welcome to Wayne's World. Pierce Brosnan and his 11-year-old son Paris bumped into Tia Carrerre and her daughter Bianca, 6, while shopping at the Malibu Country Mart in Malibu, Calif. on Monday (February 20).
Pierce and Paris who had a brace on his arm appeared to be stopping in for a quick lunch, while Tia and Bianca had just finished up a day of shopping. The two families chatted briefly before going their separate ways.
Perhaps Pierce and Tia were reminiscing about old times surprisingly, the actors were co-stars over twenty years ago, starring in the 1988 TV mini-series Noble House that was based on a novel by James Clavell.
NEWS - The Argentian press is reporting that Pierce Brosnan and Armand Assante will be co-starring in a new film "Ley Primera" [The Law]. It will be filmed in 2012 in Argentina and New York. The plot of the film is about the slaughter of indigenous people in Argentina in 1924, and the destruction of their forests. Link to press report is below (in Spanish, with English translation)

As reported by [newspaper] Diario Norte [Journal North], is in pre-production Argentina-US co-production "Ley Primera" [first law] based on the right of Aborigines to land and tree felling, and discrimination and the slaughter of Napalpí [tribe] occurred in 1924.
Shall be construed in its main roles by Pierce Brosnan, Armand Assante on the American side and by Norma Aleandro, Rodrigo de la Serna and Luis Luque for Argentina.
The filming time is: 2 weeks in Los Angeles and New York, 4 weeks in Buenos Aires and 2 weeks in Chaco.
It will be released in the U.S., Chaco and Buenos Aires respectively, and their distribution is worldwide.
The romantic comedy from Brit director/screenwriter Joel Hopkins is being co-produced and distributed by France's SND.
source; www.hollywoodreporter.com BERLIN -- Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson have joined the new rom-com Love Punch from British director/screenwriter Joel Hopkins (Last Chance Harvey).
France's SND has come on board the project as a co-producer and will be handling world sales, shopping the project to buyers at Berlin's EFM.
The plot of Love Punch has Thompson and Brosnan as a divorced couple who are forced to reunite after their pension is stolen by an unscrupulous businessman and they join forces to steal it back.
The film is set to begin shooting this summer in the U.K., Paris and the French Riviera.
