While
in Belgium nothing seems possible when it comes to the formation of a
government, belgian politicians have no problem with forcing regime
change in other countries like Libya and Afghanistan by using
extremely violent means.
Mr Moreno-Ocampo, International Criminal
Court's chief prosecutor (1)
"... Gaddafi ordered the rape of hundreds of women as a weapon
against rebel forces.
... the Libyan government was
buying containers of Viagra-type drugs to carry out the policy..."
This is really frightening! Are these Libyan
soldiers in such a bad shape they need Viagra to take up arms for their
country?
But, let us think positively. May-be Moreno just
made a misinterpretation. Is the explanation not rather that somebody sent a secret
message to Libya in the form of containers filled with Viagra: Make love, not
war!
Moreover, the supplier and producer of Viagra
is the US based company Pfizer (2). If we forget for a moment scandals like the
Iran-Contra-gate affair (3), it seems not likely that Pfizer would send such
dangerous weapons of mass destruction like Viagra to the enemy of the US. This
means these containers with Viagra must have been intended for the rebel forces
in order to protect Libyan civilians, in particular Libyan women. So in my
opinion Pfizer probably sent the containers because it just wanted to avoid terrible
situations in Libyan bedrooms with impotent guys.
On the other hand, it is somewhat strange that
Pfizer seems not to have known the NATO is doing already so much for protecting
Libyan civilians and in a much more efficient way. Therefore, the supply of
containers with Viagra seems to have been a wasted effort. Viagra might be very
effective, although the final result may still be disappointing. Whats more, I
can imagine that in a womans opinion Viagra is a horrible thing, a weapon of
masculine impotence, certainly if she is in a position wherein at any moment she
could be penetrated by a hard NATO rocket.
To solve the Libyan problem, I think the UN
should vote a new resolution commanding the send of an inspection team charged
with the verification of the presence of these weapons of mass destruction on
Libyan soil. Probably Hans Blix is still available for the job and at his age
he must have a lot of interest in finding the weapons! Nevertheless, I do not
recommend Hans Blix to take the job, life is cruel. I am sure that when he
finds the weapons this time, nobody will believe him again! (4-6). Furthermore,
the image of Hans Blix verifying the use of Viagra by Libyan soldiers, would cause
a traumatic experience for human kind, a true crime against humanity.
I confess that I am very frustrated. I would
like to have the capacities of a main stream journalist. For example, I do not
know how I can improve my performances in order to be capable of forgetting the
past lies of the Colin Powells of this world? And how can I learn to publish
incredible stories such as this Viagra story without being ashamed?
