El CLUB J.A.V. OLÍMPICO, cuyas iniciales J.A.V. significan Jóvenes Aficionados al Voleibol, es un club deportivo dedicado al mundo del voleibol desde hace muchísimos años, formado por un numeroso grupo de personas llenas de inquietudes y ganas de hacer deporte, que tiene como sede central de sus actividades deportivas las Instalaciones Municipales y Colegios del Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, correspondientes a los Pabellones Municipales del Juan Beltrán Sierra y Carlos García San Román, más los Colegios Dominicas, Isabel la Católica, Iberia y los IES Schamann y Simón Pérez.
Desde su fundación en 1988, el CLUB VOLEIBOL JAV OLÍMPICO se ha caracterizado por el trabajo que realizamos con el deporte base ya que tenemos puesto en marcha, desde hace doce temporadas, una escuela municipal y un Centro de Tecnificación de Voleibol Femenino, formados por diferentes núcleos distribuidos a lo largo de varios centros de enseñanza de la Ciudad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria e Instalaciones Deportivas Municipales, que en la actualidad recogen a unos 300 participantes distribuidos en categorías benjamín, alevín, infantil, cadete y juvenil.
Además del trabajo que realizamos con los equipos de categorías menores, intentamos ofrecer una continuidad a nuestras jugadoras formadas en dichas categorías, a través de nuestros equipos absolutos, por eso tras 4 temporadas consecutivas participando en la LIGA FEV FEMENINA, categoría de plata del voleibol femenino español, hemos conseguido en la temporada 2003/2004 ascender a la SUPERLIGA FEMENINA DE VOLEIBOL y contamos con un total de 18 equipos distribuidos entre la SUPERLIGA, 1ª DIVISION NACIONAL, JUVENILES, CADETES, INFANTILES, ALEVINES Y BENJAMINES.

The Delle Alpi Stadium hosted Juventus' home matches from the year it was unveiled, which coincided with the 1990 World Cup, up until the 2005/06 season. On July 15 2003 the Club signed a 99-year contract worth 25 million Euro for the Delle Alpi's rights of surface.
The Delle Alpi Stadium has been the stage of many a triumph since 1990. This was the Stage of Glory, where Juventus, in front of their fans, won League titles and matches that have become part of the history and legend of the Club.

The Olimpico (Olympic) Stadium, formerly known as Comunale, is owned by the city of Turin, who carried out extensive restoring of the facility for the 2006 Winter Olympics; the Stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the event.
As from the 2006/07 season, both city clubs, Juventus and Torino, play all their home matches there. The Stadium can hold 25,442 people.
The former Comunale Stadium was built in the Thirties. The first match played there, on June 29 1933, was Juventus vs. Ujpest (6-2), the return leg of the quarter finals of the Central European Cup, a tournament of the time featuring clubs from Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Hungary.
Juventus played 890 games at the Comunale Stadium between 1933 and 1990, and won 17 League titles there in that same period.
