Regisseur voor 'Hercules 3D'
 The Hollywood Reporter meldt dat Millennium Films een regisseur heeft gevonden voor hun film Hercules 3D. De man luistert naar de naam Renny Harlin en is voornamelijk bekend van zijn werk voor Die Hard 2 (1990). De laatste jaren onderscheidde Harlin zich met titels als 12 Rounds (2009) en 5 Days of War (2011).
Hercules 3D wordt de tegenhanger van de Hercules (2014) film die MGM en Paramount Pictures ontwikkelen. Deze versie wordt geregisseerd door Brett Ratner en de hoofdrol is voor spierbundel Dwayne Johnson.
Volgens Harlin wordt zijn versie de meer serieuze variant: "It's not a comic book, cartoony fantasy thing. It's closer to Gladiator than flying horses. En: "I think these are very different kinds of movies in their approach to this legendary character. Obviously, Hercules has been portrayed in many different films, such as the Disney animated movie. I wish them luck. Ancient Greek mythology is an endless source of good stories ... Let's see both movies be successful."
Hercules 3D is al sinds 2007 in ontwikkeling. Het script is reeds door Sean Hood and Hanna Weg afgeleverd.
