    Jackman stopt met Wolverine bij flop

    Hugh Jackman zal komend voorjaar opnieuw te zien zijn als Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In een interview met MovieHole.net verklaart hij dat hij met het personage stopt als de film geen succes wordt:

    "I still feel that there's a desire, an appetite for the character. [...] if it's clear to us on May second or third that that's gone, then I'll walk away happily. I'm not going to flog something - or flog a dead horse, or try and make movies that people don't really want to go and see. I have no interest in that, no matter how much I love the character."

    Dat betekent dus ook dat als de film wél een hit wordt, de weg vrij is voor een Wolverine 2. In een recent interview met MTV noemt hij een mogelijke verhaallijn voor dit vervolg, die hijzelf zeer interessant zou vinden. Jackman is namelijk een groot fan van de stripavonturen van Wolverine in Japan.
