What I can not keep from is the desserts.
I went to Brussels last Thursday to buy Italian products such as cheeses and sausages.
I bought 500g ricotta, a kind of cheese, which I've made cannoli with.
Cannoli is a typical Sicilian dessert: it's a hardened rolled cookie with sweetened ricotta.
We take 500g ricotta, 75g sugar and 50g dark chocolate flakes.
Take the ricotta in a bowl and mix the sugar and the chocolate flakes with it and let it rest for 30 min.
Afterwards you fill the cookies with the ricotta and sprinkle your powdered sugar on the cannoli while serving.
Enjoy it with a delicious espresso.
