As you all know, my party
already passed. I blog a bit earlier than normal, because of the start of the
autumn holidays.
Unfortunately, this is my last
post about the Halloween-party. Reading this blog will give you all an idea
what to expect when a party is done.
The party was a big success.
It ended at 5.30 am. Everybody was dancing on a certain moment, so I guess,
they all had a great time.
The day after is a big
understatement. A lot of things had to be done, so I decided to wake up early.
My boyfriend, parents and I started to clean the greenhouse and collect all the
decoration. Bringing glasses to the kitchen, cleaning tables, collect beer
bottles, ex. This were just a few things that had to be done. Fortunate we are
all good workers, so the deal was done in a moment.
After the cleaning at home, we
went to the recycling centre.Returning
the fridge, tables and decoration was the following thing we did.And last but not least we returned the
remains of the drinks, divided the rest of the snacks and opened our presents.
I look back to a wonderful
party and I thank all the people who helped to realize this party.
Luckily, it wont last that
long until another party will be organised because Im becoming 21 next year!
as you all know the party is
in two days so the past week was very hectic.
The day after my blog of past
week I found a dj-boot ! All this time, it was right under my nose. An invited
friend is so gentle to borrow me his dj-boot. This comes like a godsend because
hiring a dj-boot like this is very expensive. Another positive thing is the
fact that the person who borrowed me his dj-boot, will also play some music on
my party.
He was very happy and relieved
that he could help us and he was very pleased that he was responsible for the
music. Bad music, no party! he told me. So Iam very excited and curious how
my party shall look like.
The past week we cleaned also
the whole greenhouse were the party will be. I guess that was the hardest job
because it was a real mess ! But after two days of hard work the place was all
cleaned up.
Than we could start with
decorate the place with the Halloween- decoration. After one hour, the whole place was ready for
a halloweenparty!
Just before I was writing this
blog, the dj-boot arrived and the dj is now installing the whole thing.
So now I will go to the
supermarket and buy the drinks, snacks, That will be the fun part I guess :p
After today, the party can
begin ! We just need to pick up the tables and the fridge this Saturday and
everything will be ready.
Hello everyone, me again ! The
organisation of the party is progressing, although last week was very heavy.
We visited a few rental
companies for some fridges and tables. A lot of the stores were overpriced or
hadnt the sise of table we need. Eventually, we found what we were looking for
in the last visited shop. I knew in
advance that this shop would had what we needed. So the reservation was a quick
done deal.
After that we went to a few
shops for the decoration materials for the tables and the party-place.
That wasnt an easy job
because decoration material is very expensive !
But a colleague of mine on my vacation work heard about the party and mentioned
that I could use some decoration she had at her home. So, another point we can
line through on our checklist.
Now we have the decoration
material, the fridge and the party-tables!
The next step was looking for
a dj and a dj-boot. But that will be a task for next week J
I hope that I can tell you
next week again some good news. The party is in nine days, so we need to hurry
up!
Today its my birthday! I am past my teenager period,
which means I am an adult now? Never mind, twenty feels good!
Despite the rainy weather Im very cheerful. The fact
that the most important people in my life are here is enough to make my day
complete.
Last night I went celebrating my birthday with some
friends and my boyfriend at a lovely restaurant. It was very cosy and the food
was very tasty.
Ow yes I need to tell you also about the preparation
of the party :D
We have our costumes! Normally it should remain a
secret but Ill tell you what our costumes will look alike
Weve chosen for the costume of a bloody nurse J It is a beautiful costume with a lot of funny
accessories like stockings, a mouth mask and a hair cover. The costume fits
perfect and the price of the costume was also within the budget.
Already 32 people have putted them on present on our
facebookpage. Now that we have an idea about how many attendees there will be,
we can make a shopping list and estimate how many beer, champagne , water,
coke, snacks, we will need.
After this week I think we can start with the real
work like cleaning, decorating etc.
On the next post you will get to see how much we have
purchased for the party. I hold my breath ;)
I just looked on our private
facebook-page and there will be already 25 people present on our party,
Woeehoeeew !
Everybody is very excited and
they look forward to our party ! There is still no one who ll not be present.
We also send everybody a
message that they need to confirm their present before the 20th of
October.
However, the preparations are
not going so well :s
We had a lot of work for
school the past week so we havent been able to prepare a lot, but school work is still a priority.
We have searched for some
recipes of Halloween snacks and drinks. That was sometimes very funny because
they were a lot of weird ideas. For example a Halloween finger made of a
sausage, ketchup and almond slices.
We searched online to find our
costume. We found a lot of great websites with some insane costumes and accessories.
Unfortunately, the best costumes were overprized ( > 50 euros).
So weve decided to visit a shop in Ghent (Belgium) next week, who is
specialized in theme-clothes. Hopefully, we will find some nice and scary
costumes!

Hello everyone, Im Fien
Block. I ll tell you in this blog how you can organise a Halloween Party.
Because I and a friend of
mine, celebrate our anniversary in the same month, we have decided to give a
party together.
Today weve send everybody a
message with all the details and the date for our Halloweenparty.
We have chosen for a party
with a theme: Halloween !
Weve invited approximately 55
people and we hope that all of them will show up the 26th of October.
To motivate the invites to
choose a scary costume, weve set up two principles: No costume no entrance and Think scary, be
creative, impress us !.
A third motivation we
mentioned was that the two best disguised will get a price at the end of the
party.
My dad is a florist so the
party will take place in one of the greenhouses. The greenhouse we will use is
at the moment a mess, so we will have a lot of work to clean it up and decorate
it into a scary environment.
Even it looks at the moment a
little bit impractical, we will get it finished on time with some good
enthusiasm and music in the background.
Next to preparing our
location, there are a lot of other things that need to be handled! Looking for
the drinks, snacks, our costumes, decoration and hiring some important
equipment like a fridge, dj-booth, glasses, .. are also something that will
take a lot of time.
Hopefully everything will get
ready in time because there is still a bunch of work to do.
