1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk. 2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson 3. Follow the three Rs: 1. Respect for self 2. Respect for others 3. Responsibility for all your actions. 4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. 5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly. 6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship. 7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. 8. Spend some time alone every day. 9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values. 10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer. 11. Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time. 12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life. 13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past. 14. Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality. 15. Be gentle with the earth. 16. Once a year, go someplace you've never been before. 17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other. 18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Ego + Love and understanding
Thich Nhat Hanh Talks About the Ego
"In the YouTube video below, Thich Nhat Hanh explains that his right hand has written many poems, while his left hand hasnt written any. However, his right hand doesnt have a superiority complex. It doesnt turn to the left hand and say: I write poetry and you dont. Im better than you are. You, left hand, are good for nothing.
At the same time, his left hand doesnt have an inferiority complex. It doesnt feel bad about itself because the right hand writes poetry and it does not.
Thich Nhat Hanh goes on to say that he was trying to hammer a nail into the wall but he missed the nail, and he ended up hitting the thumb on his left hand with the hammer. His right hand immediately put down the hammer and held the left hand very tenderly, as if it was taking care of itself.
The right hand did not then say to the left hand: Left hand, remember that I, the right hand, have taken good care of you. You have to pay me back some time in the future. At the same time, the left hand didnt say: Right hand, youve done me a great harm. Give me the hammer. I want justice.
The two hands know that theyre together; they know that theyre in each others care."
When you plant lettuce, if it does not grow well, you don't blame the lettuce. You look for reasons it is not doing well. It may need fertilizer, or more water, or less sun. You never blame the lettuce.
Yet if we have problems with our friends or family, we blame the other person. But if we know how to take care of them, they will
grow well, like the lettuce. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and argument. That is my experience. No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you understand, you can
love, and the situation will change

natuurlijk natuur
Wat de natuur lang heeft geschapen, hoeft niet ingekort;
Soms maakt het me uitgelaten. Het leven pakt je bij de schouders. Het schreeuwt: 'Dit is het dus. Hier gaat het om. Kom op. Er is gevaar. En niemand om te helpen. Nu is het één op één.'
Dat daagt mij uit. Het is eerlijk. Open.
Het scherpt je brein. Het houdt alert.
Zo geeft alleen zijn kracht.
Maar dat weten de mensen niet."
